stronger and stronger.

- After a major earthquake,

you might need to survive on
your own for several days.

Being prepared means having your own food,

water and other supplies
to last at least 72 hours.

The disaster supplies
kit contains basic items

that you'll need in case of an emergency.

To assemble your kit,

simply put all the items

into an easy to carry
container like this one.

A basic supplies kit
contains the following items.

Water, you'll need at least
one gallon per person per day

of water for drinking and sanitation.

or battery powered,

and an NOAA weather radio with tone alert.

It also comes with a cell phone charger,

which definitely comes in handy.

to me in the earthquake.

I left my house
