I love you.

This is boring.

Fine.

I’ll help you once.

Xueji.

Fall back.

You’re finally here.

Ever since His Majesty arrived at Pingting,

I’ve been waiting for you.

I’ve been waiting for you to find me.

I initially planned to kill Goddess

in Zhaodu.

Once she’s dead,

the old tales of Pingting

will never be brought up again.

What really happened

seventeen years ago?

Seventeen years ago, a young man came to me.

He’s so eloquent

and manipulative.

He claimed that he could create a new God.

The new God could assist me

and make me the new Emperor of Suchuan.

So, I chose the biggest brothel

in Pingting,

Fuyan House.

But you failed.

Then to cover the truth,

you executed them

as plague-spreading monsters.

You deceived the world.

Many years have passed,

I thought that fire

has burnt down the brothel

as well as the scandal.

Not until the Pillar of Eternity was lit

had I realized that

he had made a God that year.

So, I must kill Linglong

to cover the sins I’ve committed

seventeen years ago.

Are you willing to

commit sins that are more horrifying?

Do you know

how much I’ve lost

to guard my position as Marquis Pingjiang?

Even my two sons died

because of it.

Promising to make God with him

is the only thing

I regret in my life.

Who’s the man that made God?

I don’t have to answer this question.

He’ll come forward soon.

Yin Zhuang,

what’s wrong with your eyes?

Did you cry?

No.

I just didn’t have enough sleep.

Yin Zhuang,

here are the ice cubes.

Yin Xiao,

see you later.

Weisheng Yan.

Yin Zhuang, you’re finally here.

You’ve been waiting for me?

I guess you’re here to

inquire about the thing that happened seventeen years ago.

Actually, you don’t have to

talk with your friends.

I’ll tell you everything

you want to know.

What do you want to know?

I’m tired of asking the same question.

Well.

You want to ask what my intentions are?

I’ll never get tired

no matter how many times I answer it.

I did this

to please you.

If you’re so good at guessing,

guess whether I believe you or not.

You’ll eventually believe me one day.

At least...

What?

Yin Zhuang, I won’t

make your eyes

become so red.

Are you ready?

We need to burn incense?

It can help enhance your memory

when you enter Memory Crystal.

Yuan Yi,

don’t forget what we’ve said.

Whatever you see later

happened in the past,

don’t let them get to you.

What are you laughing at?

I hope our Goddess

can say the same thing later

when you see

the memory of your mother.

Can’t you tell me now

what my mother was like?

You’re only one step away from

the question that’s been bothering you for so long.

Why are you asking me now?

I want to know

why my mother had this?

Does it matter?

I want to know

why my mother’s memory

is so important that

the old Head

gave her the Memory Crystal.

He had no other options.

What?

Seventeen years ago,

hundreds of girls disappeared from Fuyan House.

Then all of a sudden,

many unseen monsters

appeared in Pingting.

Master thought

this might have something to do

with the secret Nianguang Pavilion had been guarding.

When he started to investigate it,

it was too late.

What happened in Fuyan House

was beyond my Master’s...

No...

The world’s imagination.

This way.

We can live a well-off life from now on.

Hurry.

I heard this is a good place.

Yes.

Stop murmuring.

Hurry up.

I heard that

even the worst rooms here

are as good as

the rooms of rich ladies.

This seems too fishy?

What are you afraid of?

Considering that we no longer have to

receive guests,

our life is already so much better than the girls at other brothels.

Hurry up.

I think

it’s weird that

they’ve tattooed numbers

on our arms.

That’s the mark showing that

we’ve been chosen to live a good life.

Don’t fall behind.

Don’t over think.

What’s your number?

Thirteen.

How about you?

I’m twenty.

Yours is eleven.

Mine is fourteen.

Don’t fall behind.

Hurry up.

You’re so pretty.

What’s your name?

My name is Jin’er.

Hurry up.

Girl,

you’re the one.

This object

can turn your calamities

into blessings.

Take it.

What are you doing?

Hurry up.

Hurry up.

Go inside.

Hurry up.

Go. Go.

Go inside.

The old Head gave Memory Crystal to

Linglong’s mother

to record

what happened back then?

Linglong.

She has already entered

the memory of Jin’er.

So you admit that

you’re involved in

the plan to create God?

Saying I was involved

is an understatement.

I was the master mind behind

Zhu Xi’s God creation plan.

You’re the young man Zhu Xi talked about

who lured him to make God.

Yes.

But Zhu Xi said that the plan failed.

I think otherwise.

To win the favor of God,

one has to pay the price.

What?

What is that?

Open the door.

Let me out.

Let me out.

Open the door.

Let me out.

Let me out.

Let me out.

I want to go home.

Let me out.

Let me out.

Don’t be scared.

In the past,

you were maidservants,

or singers.

A few coins

can make you brow and scrape.

But that will be history.

If you can

walk out of

this room,

you will become

the most distinguished people

in Suchuan.

Whether they be nobles

or prominent officials,

they’ll be as small as ants

in your eyes.

They’ll bow under your feet,

begging for

your benevolence.

What on earth do you want?

Don’t be scared.

It comes here to

help you.

Don’t go.

Let me out.

Let me out.

-Don’t go. -Don’t go.

Let me out.

Let me out.

I don’t want to stay here.

Don’t come here.

Stay away.

Help us.

-Help. -Help.

-Don’t come here. -Help.

What are the monsters

in the cage?

What are those monsters?

I’ve never seen them before.

But...

But when I look at them,

they look familiar

to me.

Familiar?

That monster...

can’t be me,

right?

You’re saying that

you saw God at Fuyan House

seventeen years ago.

How’s that possible?

How can there be...?

It is.

But it’s also not.

Evil Soul.

Evil Soul?

You...

You used women corrupted by Evil Soul

to impersonate God.

No.

That’s not impersonation.

They’re Gods.

To be more specific,

Evil Souls are Gods.

How can Evil Soul and Linglong

have anything in common?

You must be familiar with

the tale of Evil Soul.

Neither swords or blades can penetrate their skin.

No matter

how big the wound is,

it can heal in no time.

There is black mist surrounding them.

The mist devours anyone who dares to come close to

or challenge Evil Soul.

Doesn’t Linglong look similar to it?

That’s why

Linglong will eventually lose herself.

Because she’s the human sacrifice

born to feed Evil Soul.

Even if Linglong’s mother

was what you built out of Evil Soul,

Weisheng Yan,

you mustn’t

slander God because of this.

Slander?

Yin Xiao, you haven’t figured it out.

This marvelous deed

wasn’t my creation.

I was only emulating

what Yuans did.

Things like Gods don’t even exist

in this world.

Since the ancient time,

the so-called Gods

have been the lies ancestors of Yuans spread

to defend their crowns,

and to cheat the world!

That’s not possible!

God...

God can’t be Evil Soul.

Who are you?

Why are you spreading these lies?

Yuan Yi.

Linglong.

Don’t trust him.

God has been protecting Suchuan for thousands of years.

He’s a man full of mystical nonsense.

He’s a man full of lies.

How can we trust him?

What Meng Zhan said

was real.

What do you mean?

Yin Jia once told me this

in the Palace of Flames.

But at that time,

I didn’t get it.

Yuan Yi,

haven’t we made a deal?

Those are the stories

of the past.

There’s nothing we can do to change it.

Let’s see for ourselves

what really happened

I’ll go with you.

I’ve told you that

Your Majesty can decide

whether you want to see it or not yourself.

Weisheng Yan,

you’re a man full of lies.

But you can be penalized with hundreds of death sentences

for what you’ve said today.

Yin Xiao,

you know very clearly

whether I lied or not.

Then?

I’ve told you everything about

this horrifying secret.

Isn’t that enough?

I want to know the story

about Jin’er.

Right.

Nothing in the world matters to you, a man from Fire Tribe.

You care the most about

your Linglong and Jin’er.

If you must say,

they’re

my masterpieces also.

Women possessed by Evil Soul

will turn into monsters.

But one in a million

will be different.

That person will be God.

Groups of pretty girls were tattooed

and sent here.

They were turned into

horrifying monsters.

Then they were dragged away.

Let go of me.

They were crying

and screaming.

They’d rather die but they couldn’t.

I took some effort

to quiet them down.

But no matter what I did,

God was never created.

In the end,

even Zhu Xi was about to give up.

He planned to throw these monsters

into Xu.

That was when I found her.

I thought I succeeded.

But somehow

the monsters that were supposed to be thrown in Xu

got out.

They flooded into Pingting

causing

the so-called Pingting plague.

Why are you running?

You’re different from them.

Hush.

Did you hear that?

The whole Pingting is hailing you.

What do you mean?

Why are you doing this to us?

You’ll find out.

Go to Palace of Flames.

I...

Go.

The secrets of Suchuan will be safe with me.

Don’t worry.

One year later,

the terror of that night

was gradually forgotten by the world.

My memory of that time

slowly came back to me.

When I got to Fire Tribe

and saw Jin’er again,

she was already pregnant.

Actually, Jin’er shouldn’t have left.

If she stayed,

you wouldn’t have to be here today.

Linglong wouldn’t have to become Goddess

for her mother as well.

But,

Linglong surprised me more than her mother did.

She’s the first Goddess given birth by a human

in the history of Suchuan.

Once she was born,

Pillar of Eternity was lit.

She’s one of her kind.

So,

I made Tianqi followers who went to investigate

stay quiet forever.

I’ll never let anyone get to Linglong.

Huotu Xin,

now you see.

In the past decade,

I’ve been protecting

you and your daughter secretly.

I didn’t let anyone

disturb your life.

Shut up.

Yin Xiao.

Yin Xiao.

Move away.

Huotu Xin.

Even if everyone in the world blames me,

you should still be thankful to me,

shouldn’t you?

If it weren’t for me,

how could you

marry a beautiful wife like Jin’er,

and have a daughter like Linglong?

Yin Xiao.

Move away!

Weisheng Yan has committed the sins that can’t be forgiven.

But if you kill him today,

the truth dies with him.

Suchuan has its laws.

He must stand before a trial.

Why are you talking about a trial now?

Where was the trial of Suchuan

when he took so many innocent lives

and turned them into monsters?

Where was the trial of Suchuan

when Jin’er went through excruciating pain

and when those girls

were thrown into the depth

of Xu?

Yin Xiao.

Move away!

Yin Zhuang.

Yin...Yin Zhuang!

Huotu Xin,

ask yourself.

What are you really angry at?

Are you angry because I used those girls to make God?

Or are you angry because

your wife lied to you?

Your precious daughter

was only a monster

you and my experiment subject had

because she wanted to stay alive?

Weisheng Yan,

are you out of your mind?

Am I out of my mind?

The monster I created

was hailed as Goddess by the nobles.

They bow before her.

The citizens of Suchuan

are either constantly worried about

being punished by God

for their sins,

or

they become the tools to collect wealth

for Tianqi followers.

Even my Weisheng followers

are to some extent afraid of her power.

Are you saying that

I’m the mad one?

Shut up.

Let go of me.

Huotu Xin.

Your Majesty.

You mustn’t jump.

Immortal Blood can forge Spirit Stone.

That’s merely

Huotu Ke’s speculation.
