[Episode 54]

[Previously]

We can perish together.

I thank you for letting me and my daughter reunite!

Qingzhu, what are you doing?

It's the Master of Darkness.

You all, step-by-step, forced me to become how I am now.

And now, you pretentiously pity me and apologize to me.

Is there a point in that?!

You're still leaving?

I'm going back to Taiqing Palace.

Mom has been thinking about me.

What if I tell you that I'm going back with you?

Attack!

Attack!

Sect Leader, we've already done our best to guard the gates of the mountain,

but I'm afraid that we won't be able to hold on much longer.

You haven't completed your cultivation. You must quickly leave!

Sect Leader!

Your life concerns the great undertaking of eliminating the Yi-Demons. Nothing bad must happen to you.

Sect Leader, quickly go. Protect the ancestral talisman.

If we leave the Snow Mountain of Dao Sect,

where else can we escape to?

Senior Jiang Hao, Senior Zhou Tong,

their everything was on this Snow Mountain.

If Father was still around,

he would have probably protected Dao Sect and died with it. Right?

How could I bring him shame?

How could I bring my seniors shame?

Tong Chuan, you know what to do now. Right?

Lin Dong, come back. Don't let Dao Sect disappear like this.

Master!

Dao Sect is in danger! We are of the same branch. We should not abandon them.

Shut up!

Our sect has always been neutral. I can't break the rules.

Yuan Gate and Dao Sect are currently fighting. We still don't know who the victor is and who is on the right.

If we rashly intervene now, how can we still have a foothold?

How is it unclear about who is on the right?

Once Yuan Gate destroys the Dao Sect, we're the ones next.

Why must you be hidebound by convention?

You came back without permission from the Monster Domain.

I haven't even punished you for it and you still dare to argue back?!

As the Talisman Envoy, Qingzhu should protect the successor of Fu Zu.

The successor of Fu Zu is risking danger alone just to save Dao Sect.

Isn't it just right for Qingzhu to help the Dao Sect?

Sect Leader Ying, is this how you welcome an old friend?

How come I don't remember having a friend who defected to the Yi-Demons?

Junior Ying is no longer Junior Ying.

Ice Master.

If my guess is right,

you aren't done cultivating to the third level of an Ice Master. Right?

How can a half-cultivated ancestral master contend with me?

Your father?

Your lover?

Too bad... They both are not here.

After becoming a Yi-Demon, you've become such a nag.

Hurry and run!

Hurry! Hurry!

Quickly leave! Leave!

Darkness Master!

Master Yan.

I hope you have been well.

Did the Talisman Guild come to help Dao Sect, too?

Yes, it's so extreme.

The luck of Lin Dong is extremely good.

His little sister has grown up to be a beautiful doll who can fight on her own.

Master Yan, my older brother went up the mountain. Let's go support him.

That's right. Guild President is still in Dao Sect.

Lin Langtian has grown very strong. We must be careful.

Wait!

This is so strange.

How is it strange?

When the Talisman Guild arrived,

Yuan Gate just dispersed without fighting.

Oh, no!

Lin Langtian indeed has another plan.

I am indeed doing this to eliminate the Yi-Demons.

One day, you will surely understand it.

When you have too many lovers, you cannot take care of all of them.

Let me help you decide who among these two women should live.

Oh, no. He's after Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace.

I've wanted to hug you like this even in my dreams.

Qingzhu told me all the grievances you've endured these past years.

You have suffered. It's my fault.

You're back, so there's no more grievances.

Right. Everything's fine now.

Since Qing Zhi is back,

Senior,

you don't need to stay here any longer.

Qingzhu has grown up. She can fight on her own.

Senior, no need for you to have any more worries.

I am going to the Monster Domain with my husband

and continue monitoring together the movements of Yi-Demon Emperor.

Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace will do our best to assist Dao Sect.

Palace Master, these past years, you've taken good care of Susu and Qingzhu on my behalf.

I owe you such a huge favor.

I was young and insensible in the past.

I took the Flame Talisman without permission.

- Palace Master—- You had your predicament. I'm not a stone-cold person.

Since everything is in the past,

there's no need to mention them again.

You said it right.

If the Yi-Demons are allowed to rampantly attack,

the Three Super Sects will soon be toppled.

I've guarded the rules all my life.

It's time to be willful for once.

Palace Master, I'm thanking you on behalf of myself, Susu, Qingzhu,

and the citizens of the world.

Don't forget...

The Flame Talisman is a heirloom of Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace.

You must return it.

Palace Master, don't worry. I will surely return it.

Let's go.

For so many years, I'm happiest today.

If there can be days like this everyday, how good will that be?

We just reunited.

Qingzhu...

You have some unfinished business.

Your father still makes it his duty to save the world.

I'm accompanying him to do the things that he has always wanted to do.

You should be happy for this kind of separation.

That is right. You should be happy.

I understand.

- I will soon go to the Monster Domain to find you two. - All right.

Qingzhu, take out your hand.

This is...

Your mother will help me suppress the Yi-Demon's fallen spirit inside me.

This Flame Talisman belongs to Taiqing Palace in the first place.

Now, I'm handing it to you, its rightful owner.

Qingzhu, you must protect yourself.

- Don't make us worry.- Okay.

I know your hope is on me.

Qingzhu, remember this.

No matter what happens from now on,

we must not disappoint the trust of each other.

We have always focused on cultivating and stayed aloof from world affairs.

But now, Yi-Demons have corrupted Yuan Gate and attacked Dao Sect.

It plans to annihilate the disciples of the Three Super Sects.

The disciples of Taiqing Palace cannot just sit and wait for death anymore.

We must rise vigorously and make a counterattack. All disciples, listen.

Go down the mountain with me and help Dao Sect.

Lin Langtian! What did you do to Lin Dong and Huanhuan?

Until now, you still are thinking of others?

You are really a responsible and a diligent Talisman Envoy.

Too bad, Lin Dong is now

busy being a hero saving a damsel in distress.

He doesn't have time to care about you.

Lin Langtian, you charged up our mountain alone.

Aren't you belittling our Taiqing Palace too much?

Taiqing Palace and Dao Sect have always maintained a good relationship.

Now, Ying Xuanzi is dead.

I think you, Palace Master Shen, should just go accompany him

to drink some tea and talk about swords.

Master!

Master!

Mother, why are you back? It's so dangerous!

All of you, retreat! Retreat back inside the palace!

Activate the barrier.

The Lotus Barrier that I have researched for so many years still needed Senior to activate it.

In critical times, why is there still a need to determine a victor between us?

I am willing to protect my sect and not let it fall.

- Rotten Old Man, you are quite fast this time. - Yes.

Between the two of us, one was unable to become Fu Zu, the other unable to become a Talisman Envoy.

But we can still guard a palace and protect its disciples.

Master!

This time...

I'll be going on ahead.

Promise me.

You must help Qingzhu...

guard Taiqing Palace.

I surely will do my best.

Rotten Old Man,

say,

in the past if I didn't become a Palace Master,

would we be together?

We would have.

We would have.

Qingzhu, protect your master and take her further inside!

Master! Master!

I should have listened to your words earlier.

Yuan Gate wouldn't have gained an upper hand.

Even if I die, I would ensure your safety.

No. Listen.

What you should do now is more important than risking your life.

Do you know the secret technique being passed down in our sect?

I don't know.

In ancient times,

Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace had another name.

It was called Taishang Palace.

- Taishang Palace? - Yes.

Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace has existed for generations

just to protect and wait for one person.

You are the Talisman Envoy.

Without you, there won't be a real Fu Zu.

Master...

I can't do it.

- You must do it.- I...

Sorry to make you suffer, Qingzhu,

but this is the purpose why Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace exists.

Promise me.

You must protect the sect, protect Lin Dong...

to sense Taishang and save the world.

Master...

Promise me.

Promise me.

Master,

as long as I'm alive,

Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace will never fall like the silver moon in the ninth level of the sky.

Master...

Master!

Master...

Master...

Mother and daughter are here.

Where are the men?

Where did all the men go?

They left a bunch of women behind.

Aren't you afraid to die

for those cowardly people?

Mother and daughter are connected by heart. When were we scared?

The last time, I thought that I would die in Burning Sky Ancient Depository.

It was Lin Dong who taught me what it means to protect something.

You won't fear death and bravely go forward.

You said it well. But you all are here fighting hard,

while Lin Dong has become a cowardly turtle.

This is Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace, our home.

It is made of thousands of mountains and rivers and is a length of backbone that has supported us.

One life and death,

that is our last defense.

Unlike you, all your life, you've had no root or home!

It's the Ice Master.

Talisman Guild's Lin Dong, Dao Sect's Ying Huanhuan, and Darkness Master Lin Qingtan

are meeting up with Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace to eliminate the Yi-Demon!

Since you are now complete, I won't disturb your reunion then.

Master Yan, long time no see.

Ice Master, you're being too courteous. I don't deserve such a bow.

The situation was urgent earlier and I had to use a bit of the Ice Talisman's power.

I still haven't finished with the Ice Master cultivation.

I am still Ying Huanhuan right now.

Why did you use the ancestral talisman? Lin Langtian disturbed your cultivation. Your body can't take it.

Are you not afraid to become an old woman again?!

Tong Chuan, order the disciples of Dao Sect to stay and guard Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace for three days

to guard against Yuan Gate attacking again.

- Aiya, Huanhuan...- Yes.

I heard that the scenery here is very beautiful.

Since I'm here, I must go see it.

Although the crisis of Taiqing Palace has been resolved,

we still don't know the next plan of Lin Langtian.

I must immediately go to the Monster Domain to meet up with your father to prevent any mishaps.

Qingzhu...

Don't worry.

I will handle everything here.

Mother, you must take good care of yourself.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by The On Fire Penguins Team @ Viki

I've been cultivating inside the Mysterious Ice Enchantment all day.

It was really so boring.

This Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace is really very beautiful.

Stop cultivating. I've found all eight ancestral talismans.

And I found out that I'm the successor of Fu Zu.

As long as I become him, you can be released.

You can stop forcing yourself to become some Ice Master.

Huanhuan, can you just let me

bear this burden?

If we can take the short cut, why take the long road?

A person cannot escape midway on her own battlefield.

I'll then tie you up, lock you up.

Anyway, I'm a scoundrel to begin with.

I won't be willful anymore, Father. I can bear to...

As long as you don't leave me, I can bear to do anything you want.

Even I've grown up,

so you should stop being willful.

Cultivating to become the Ice Master

is not shackles for me.

Hence...

Stop thinking of saving me.

We aim to eliminate the Yi-Demons.

We have different paths but will eventually meet.

Why then must we put too much importance on seeing each other day and night,

following each other wherever we go?

- Okay already. Sister Qingzhu still needs help.- I...

I'll get going now.

Huanhuan!

Idiot.

It's enough that he ran after you once.

Do you still hope that he'll chase you again?

Lin Dong,

do you know how much I missed you?

Lin Dong, quickly look! Lin Langtian has returned to attack again.

Before, Yuan Gate pretended to retreat, but they actually went to block off all roads down Taiqing Palace.

We all got trapped in here.

The black smoke is going up against the water flow.

This is Lin Langtian's crafty scheme of retreating to advance.

I was too lenient with him before!

Do you want to duel with him? That's exactly what he wants.

Brother! This is just a crafty scheme of Lin Langtian.

There are disciples guarding all paths up here. It's impossible for him to easily attack us.

You all are right. I mustn't panic.

Master Yan, we cannot attack Yuan Gate head on right now,

but our team can't go down the mountain, either.

The water source has been cut off, too. We must quickly come up with a plan.

How is the situation in your palace?

It's not that good. There are so many disciples who are injured.

They need to take spiritual medicine every day.

If we are unable to go out and create those spiritual medicines, they might not last long.

I've already sent a message to Dark Palace to come reinforce us.

I've also sent out a Talisman Seal to the disciples of Talisman Guild. They probably will be arriving soon.

The disciples of Dao Sect are also ready to be deployed anytime.

If Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace will have a future,

we surely will not forget everyone for coming here to save us.

Qingzhu, it's not time to be polite.

All of us are trapped here.

If we all have a future, then Taiqing Palace will surely have a future.

We are able to save ourselves, then that's saving Taiqing Palace, too.

No need to differentiate between us.

Water Curtain of Tianhua is a water without roots.

Because of the attack of the Yi-Demons, it's flowing uneasily.

It contains a huge amount of Yuan Energy.

If we are able to congeal this Yuan Energy and borrow it,

we might be able to disperse the black air of the Yi-Demons and put everything in the fight with Yuan Gate.

Or else, no matter how many reinforcements come,

it will be pointless since we are divided from them.

What must we do to congeal the Yuan Energy?

I also haven't thought of a better idea.

Senior, come with me.

Qingzhu, what is it?

Senior,

when we were little,

Master repeatedly narrated the origin of Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace.

Do your remember?

Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace was established by the ancient first palace master.

The post of the Talisman Envoy has been passed on ever since.

Before, they said that it is to wait for the successor of the ancestral talisman.

But from the looks of it now, what we're waiting for is the successor of Fu Zu.

Do you know why we must protect the successor of Fu Zu?

What Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace must pass down

is a very important martial arts technique that Fu Zu left his descendant,

Sensing Taishang Technique.

This technique can sense and conceal the Yuan Energy of Heaven and Earth.

It is a path that the successor of Fu Zu must pass through.

Sensing Taishang Technique can congeal the Yuan Energy of Water Curtain of Tianhua.

What are we afraid of, then?

I...

Are you worried that it's too profound that you might not be able to cultivate it that easily?

It can be cultivated.

What then are you worried about?

This is also why Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace only accepts female disciples.

Only the Talisman Envoy can make the successor of Fu Zu sense Taishang.

And the method of cultivating it requires both the man and woman to cultivate together.

Only you can make Lin Dong sense Taishang,

so he can enter the Cosmic Rank and become the real successor of Fu Zu.

If you and him will cultivate together...

This— Isn't that sacrificing your chastity?

To eliminate the Yi-Demons and preserve Ninth Heaven Taiqing Palace,

my body is not important to me.

Is there no other way?

Do you have any?

The power of the Yi-Demon has repeatedly surpassed my expectations.

And it repeatedly changed you and Lin Dong.

It changed Qingzhu, changed Qingtan. It changed all of us.

But the power you all have also surpassed my expectations.

Stop holding it back. Your smile is worse than crying.

But it's way better than crying.

The Ying Huanhuan I remember will do whatever she feels like doing.

She won't...

That lady won't keep demanding from herself.

You don't want to cry in front of Lin Dong because you're afraid that he'll get sad.

I have an alias called Canister Yan.

If you have any tears, just pour it towards me. You then won't feel that bad anymore.

I have another nickname called Hanky Yan. Just wipe your tears and nasal discharges on me.

You will discover that you don't want to cry anymore.

Look at how big my robe is. It's perfect for wiping away nasal discharges.

When I was in the Mysterious Ice Enchantment alone,

I would frequently recall the past.

In the past, whatever mistakes I've made, I could quietly continue to be a junior.

But now...

Nothing can go back to how it was.

In the Dao Sect, Father is gone,

Senior Brothers are gone.

I've become that person who must support Dao Sect on my shoulders.

You... must believe Lin Dong.

Once the Yi-Demons have been driven away, you two can still return to how you were.

Return to Qingyang Town and live the lives you want.

Not anymore.

The thing I'm bearing is Dao Sect.

And Lin Dong has more burdens than me.

Since I have the qualities to become the Ice Master, I then must assume this responsibility.

This is also a principle that I understood after becoming the Dao Sect Leader.

Also, I believe...

that my father and senior brothers would be comforted by this.

Moreover,

after becoming the Ice Master, I might be able to kill enemies here and there.

If I'm able to defeat the Yi-Demon Emperor, how impressive would that be?

In the next year, there surely will be more people wanting to become a disciple of Dao Sect.

By then, Dao Sect will become lively again.

Of course. Let me tell you,

Dao Sect will surely return to being the leader among the Three Super Sects when that time comes.

All the good food and good drinks will be sent to your Dao Sect.

All the pretty stuff and fun stuff will be gifted to the Sect Leader. You will be so proud.

- Master Yan. - Yes?

I still want to ask one favor from you.

Say it.

Let Lin Dong sense Taishang.

You have decided?

Okay.

[Preview]

We can use the congealed Yuan Energy of Water Curtains Tianhua to break open a path for us.

Or else, when the Yi-Demon's black air attacks us back, all our hard work will be lost.

Join together in an alliance to exterminate the Yuan Gate!

To duel with the Yi-Demons, with Yuan Gate until death!

Do it. Kill me!
