The worldwide popularity of stories about Tarzan prompted the author...

for the first time tell a new story...

about the most extraordinary and romantic adventure The Monkey Man.

I'm afraid this way is too heavy for you, Mary.

There's nothing worse than waiting at the news ranch for Dad.

I could organize a search for you.

I know, Bob.

But I did not want to be alone.

I would have gone mad!

I would hardly have gone mad. But these guys...

I do not like them.

Tarzan!

Tarzan, come here!

Tarzan...

You will take this letter to my daughter.

My daughter!

In Durango.

Tell them to make our way!

Another hitch!

Hey, Jeff!

Why do not we leave them and not go in search of the lost an emerald mine?

Now we need a company, and there are no more provisions.

Be careful!

We're close to those places, Miss Brooke...

where your father disappeared.

But here again a hitch!

In the jungle there is always a hitching.

Nick and I know this very well.

Well, of course!

He speaks the truth, lady.

How curious!

Stop it! What's wrong?

They say that these are the lands of Tarzan.

The wild white man lives here.

What does that mean, Bob?

Just one of a thousand legends of the jungle.

They talk about a wild white man, grown up by monkeys.

A wild white man, grown up by monkeys...

Who!

You do not believe in this story, Jeff?

I heard this story. Heard back in London.

In any case, camp for the night will be broken here.

Banga! Arrange the tents!

Mary!

Where does this cry come from?

"From Mary Brooks!" "I know, you fool!" But where is she?

Are you Tarzan?

My Photo!?

So you saw my father?

My father!

Why do not you answer my questions?

Let's go to the camp!

Maybe Abdula speaks your language.

Oh, please! Take me to the camp!

Who was that? "This is Tarzan!"

He handed the note from his father.

Give me the jacket, Bob.

Hold it!

Was it a monkey man?

Yes.

He saved my life, Jeff!

Your father's instructions are quite clear.

In the morning, with the dawn he will be safe, with us!

What are these rumors about a monkey-man?

It's not rumors, my friend.

And this will make us slow down.

What does it mean "slow down"?

You tell me yourself.

How about taking 10,000?

What!?

Money, you blockhead! What you call "dollyar".

Hey, listen!

If this guy Tarzan knows where there is so much gold...

why does not he buy himself a pair of pants?

Wait!

Are you Tarzan?

I've come a long way to find you.

Does this tell you about something?

"Killed by the natives. Accordingly, I am given instructions..."

to offer an amount of £ 10,000 for solid evidence...

directly indicative of the death of "Tarzan"...

his son and heir. Sincerely yours, Horace Graves."

Wait! I want to talk with you!

Bean!

Jeff, what was that?

I thought it was Tarzan.

But, perhaps, I was mistaken.

We'd better join the rest.

Judging by your father's description, there must be a hut here.

Mary, be careful!

Dad! Where are you, daddy?

Oh, Daddy! Only be here!

These are things of my father. But he himself is not.

All right! This is his diary!

It's like a map!

Some treasures... And this map points the way!

It's better than finding Tarzan, is not it?

Grammar is lame, but you catch the idea!

I live now here...

under the protection of Tarzan!

And again this name!

We need to get to this cave, before it's too late!

"Oh, Bob!" - Well, well, my dear! We'll find him, do not worry!

But everything seems so serious!

We do not know where he is!

"He may be dead!" "No, no, sweetheart!" Let's quit this!

You stay here and try to rest a little.

And I'll go for the porter.

Be brave, girl!

BOG RIVER CAVES OF ZAR

Forward! Do not stop! Forward, well?

We better stop and find shelter!

Nick! What are you doing?

Oh, Bob! Bean!

For heaven's sake! Where are you from?

Well, I understand...

Mary!

No, Bob! This is Tarzan!

My father!

Do you know where he is?

Hey! Let's take the map and follow the emeralds!

Pages with a map are torn out!

And you do not have a single thought, who took them?

I have an idea that you made a mess...

when I sneaked a diary!

No, Tarzan!

I must apologize for Nick.

Sometimes he behaves strangely.

He is telling you the truth, lady!

Your father's diary. Closed.

I thought something like this could happen, Jeff.

So I tore out the page with the map.

Here is this page.

Here it is indicated where the cave is.

There is a path to the temple of Zara.

This will bring us in gold a fortune!

Abdula! "Wait for my signal!"

- Abdula! - Yes, sir!

Hurry!

We immediately leave! Order to pack! "Yes, master!"

Where's my hat?

"Prisoner in the temple of God with emerald fingers."

We go out immediately to go to my father!

Yes, mistress.

This we confuse them.

This will lead them to the cave of Zara, and we will go north.

Here is the white woman I promised you, the master.

Mary! Mary, where...

Look, this is a page from the diary.

These people took Mary.

Come on!

Here, it seems, is a trampled path.

But the map says there's a way there.

To make sure, why do not we send Jeff to look around there?

A good idea!

What, for God's sake, has it happened?

Nick attacked me. "I foolishly left you alone with him."

He stole the card.

This is my wallet!

"The card was in it!" "But she's not there!"

He took it!

In any case, the purse tells us that we are on the right track.

Here's your card, Bob.

Poor Nick!

What price he paid!

Well, we better hurry until the jackals come running.

ABOUT! Thank you, Tarzan!

Earlier it belonged to me.

To me?

It is mine!

It...

my.

And where is the pope?

God with emerald fingers!

Another fool violated your possessions.

Your people must have mistaken me for the enemy?

You are the enemy!

Oh no! No no!

I'm just a scientist. Dr. Brooks!

A reckless fool!

You must be punished.

For what? "For looking for the treasure of God."

I was not looking for any treasure!

I just did research!

I studied the secrets of your people...

and your religion.

Then others will come.

And they will rob us!

Secrets of Zara...

Our secret...

Secrets of the children of Zara.

Prepare him for the sacrifice!

At least let me drop a word for my daughter!

You will disappear without a trace!

Like everyone else, who came here.

Here is the entrance, as indicated on the map.

We must stop by, otherwise we will not know what is hidden there.

We divide!

God with emerald fingers!

I did not think it was possible!

We are in Africa!

Here, even dreams become reality!

"It's very quiet here!" - Right.

Too quiet.

Peace be with you, god Zar!

And this sacrifice will be more pleasing, as it will be brought before their eyes!

Which means "more pleasant..." on their eyes "?

Mary!?

Bean!?

- Where is Mary? - What...

So, you do not know?

Zar...

Zar?!

But that's where my father is!

Wait!

I promised that no one would touch these emeralds!

I did not promise anything!

Do you think I'll turn my back on this?

On luck, they are all here.

Come on! We must get out of here!

Tarzan!

You saved my life again. But my daughter, Mary...

Will you take me to her?

You have a map, Bob. You will take him!

And I'll follow Tarzan.

"Well, Jeff?" Good news! Your father is safe.

Just a moment, Jeff! I need to do something first.

So that's where you were in captivity?

Not in captivity, Jeff!

ABOUT! I see!

Do you even know who Tarzan is?

Is it so important who he is?

Now everything is different.

You loved Bob, then Tarzan.

You can learn to love me.

This is Tarzan!

Promise to marry me when we get to the coast...

or I'll take those 10,000 pounds!

No I do not want...

No, Jeff! No!

You are right, but... Give me time!

This man came to take me to my father!

No!

Do you want to say... will you take me?

Yes!

Do you think I will leave you with this being?

I gave him my word, Jeff. And I'll keep it!

Let's see how you do it.

I will avenge myself for this blasphemy!

Friends from the coast will help us.

Send the message!

Close the jungle!

Grab all the strangers!

Radio of the jungle.

Savages transmit through him messages for thousands of miles.

And specifically this...

reports problems.

"That's wonderful, is not it?" Yes!

Tarzan, let me! I ask!

- Leave? - Yes, Tarzan.

Do not go away!

The night is coming.

House!

Night is coming!

But, Tarzan!

But...

Will you... take me to my father, Tarzan?

What is it?

This is Jeff!

One!

Where is Mary?

With Tarzan.

Come on, Tarzan!

Do you hear these drums?

You gave us trouble by stealing the emerald!

It is a pity that I had only one time.

The biggest emerald in the world!

And we have it!

Is not it wonderful?

Get rid of it!

Now!

Oh, Tarzan!

Mary!

Oh, Mary! Pretty!

Well, you arranged for us a day!

Where have you been?

I'll tell you later, Dad. Not now!

- We must immediately flee from here! - But, Dad!

We can not do without Tarzan!

No time!

We move out at dawn.

It's very cruel to leave him here, after he saved his life.

Anga, go and get the porters here.

"We move forward as soon as we can." Yes, sir.

Well, my dear...

I have similar feelings now, because I have to leave these jungles.

A lot of terrible things could happen to him, Dad.

But...

Do you think you will find happiness?

Happiness with a half-human being from the jungle?

I will keep my word.

I'll save Tarzan's life.

And you... You keep your promise!

Are you sure you want to marry someone who does not love you?

It's enough that I love you!

I suspected something like this.

But I'll find out more about that!

We will get married, no matter what you think about me!

I hope that you keep your promise!

What promise?

Perhaps Mary will tell you.

Well... I was in the cave of Tarzan.

Jeff came to take me back to you.

He said that they offer him £ 10,000 for proof the death of Tarzan.

So... to save Tarzan...

I promised to marry Jeff.

And do you expect that she will fulfill her promise?!

I am sure that he will!

Well, I do not! And now - get out!

Good! I'll leave!

Mary, be careful!

Put down your gun! Do not panic! Drop the weapon!

No! No!!!

You can not escape again.

Oh, Bob!

Are you going to sacrifice us? But even more will come to our search!

Nobody but you knows the way to the temple.

But there is a map that points the way here!

And I know where this card is.

We can exchange it for our freedom.

Very good!

Find the map and bring it here.

God says that this sacrifice is enough.

You can go.

Tarzan! He will kill him!

Caution! Be careful, my dear!

Jeff!

He's not dead, Bob.

But now not for long.

Mary?

Where is Mary?

I do not see you!

I'm here, Jeff.

I was wrong, Mary.

I should not have...

forcing you to do something.

But, I think...

now everything.

Yes, Jeff.

Tarzan... is wounded!

Not dead.

Letter...

There...

I understand, Jeff.

Tarzan, it turns out, comes from a noble family?

They are willing to pay 10,000 pounds for clearing the title!

"After killing Tarzan?" Exactly!

Bean? Bean?

Tarzan...

Emeralds...

Mary!

I tried everything.

And lost...

their freedom.

I remember these trees!

Tarzan's Cave is here somewhere!

Mary, he might have been here a couple of days ago...

"But this time..." "Do not worry, Bob!"

Do not even think!

There! Here, where is the cave!

Oh, Daddy!

What do we do?

I do not know, honey.

We'd better make our way to Durango.

Yes!

Mary, honey...

I can not, Daddy! I need to know where he is!

I understand, little one.

I understand.

We are unlikely to be able to.

And you must return to Durango for food.

But how are you and Mary?

We will stay in my hut.

You must deliver this letter to Jeff...

to England and as soon as possible!

Well...

I guess this is goodbye.

You've always been a reliable friend, Bob.

And you always will be.

I understand.

But I'll keep my hopes forever, Mary!

No, Bob!

Tarzan!

Yes, but... Damn me!

Are you okay? You...

Are not you hurt?

My... Mary!

Tantor.

No, Tarzan! Not Tantor.

I will teach you English. This is an elephant.

Tantor.

No, Tarzan! Not Tantor!

This is an elephant!

"Tantor!" "No, Tarzan!" Elephant!

Chita!

No, Tarzan! This is a shim-pan-zee.

- Chita! - No!

Chimpanzee!

Chita! "No, Tarzan!"

Well, you can call her Chita, Tarzan.

But she is still a shim-pan-zee.

Chita!
