Ivy.

Ivy of Lycana.

I need you to hear me.

Who's there?

Hello?

What am I doing here?

The transformation has begun.

And, as soon as you learn how to listen, then you will hear her.

Hear who?

The mother of all.

Elisabetha's blood and Dracula's tears

created 13 rubies with special powers.

During the Clan Wars, most rubies were lost.

Only a few clans survived.

There we go. Thank you, Malcolm.

Here we go.

Thanks. I'm so hungry.

Hey!

Wait for me.

Where are your manners?

You sound like Hindrik.

Well, Hindrik isn't here right now. He's chilling in Norway, so...

..I'll be the one to teach you some manners.

Hindrik, I'm going with Alisa. What?

I need to find Lars.

He's the only thing I really care for.

Are you sure?

Just be careful, OK.

Bye.

Karen...

..I know you miss him.

We all do.

Erm, I heard you returning to your coffin this morning.

What's going on?

Oh, yeah, I just...

I haven't really been sleeping well lately.

You haven't been sleeping well?

You're not just tired, you've been acting strange

ever since we got into that storm.

You know who's been acting strange?

Brought you breakfast.

Thanks.

We're not far.

I can see land ahead.

Try and get some sleep before we get there.

We need you fit to find the last piece of the damn puzzle.

I'm guessing it won't be a simple snatch and grab.

Nothing's been easy.

I can't say I'm looking forward to returning to Hamburg.

Why's that?

There are lots of bad memories.

Where have you been?I'm sorry.

It's forbidden to go outside!

I'm so sorry.

Redmasks!

It was me.

Must have some good ones, too?

I-I didn't mean to scare you.

Oh, I'm not. I...

I didn't expect to see anyone up here.

Me neither. I didn't catch your name.

Alisa.

I... I'm Nicu.

You're right.

Yah!

So you're the one that got her all confused.

What are you talking about?

Alisa.

At the beginning, she likes me,

and, then, all of a sudden, she pushes me away.

Humans and vampires don't mix well.

But we did.

I like Heaven And Earth, do you know it?

It's also by Byron.

I only know "She walks in beauty, like the night."

What was it, huh?

You couldn't stand seeing her fall for a boy like me,

so you just had to do something about it?

I didn't do anything.

She has her own mind and she made her own choice.

She walks in beauty, like the night.

What?

You don't read Byron, do you?

I'm not doing this.

The only thing you two have in common is being vampires.

You know I can hear you two?

Shut up!

Not another word until Transylvania.

Yah!

Hey.

Oh, hi.

Still getting used to this stuff.

Erm, I've been thinking.

Maybe when we get to Hamburg, you could...

You know, you could show me where you met.

You know, you and Nicu, which roof.

Maybe it'll jog my memory or something.

Of course.

I don't think it works like that, but...

Do you think, erm...

Do you think he'll accept me as his mother again?

Well, you've always been his mum.

Yeah, I know, it's just that, well...

Well, we've lost our past. I just...

I just hope he wants a future with me.

Again.

He'd be stupid not to.

I really hope they're OK, Alisa.

I promise you, as soon as we find the Knot and I untie it...

..we'll find them.

We will bring them home safe.

Alisa...

..Van Helsing is up to something.

I saw him copying your mother's map.

What?

What the hell are you doing?

I'm... getting us to Hamburg.

No, what game are you playing?

None. I'm helping you get to the damn piece of rope.

By copying the map for yourself?

Yes.You admit you copied it?

If anything happens to the original, we're screwed.

You saw what a little water did with it.

I thought, before something like that happens again,

I'd be your knight in shining armour and have an extra.

You made it for me?

Yes. Why would I need it?

I just want the rubies.

I never meant to keep it for myself, trust me.

How can we?

You've hunted our kind for so long. You're obsessed with the rubies.

I've never lied about that. You knew my intentions from the beginning.

Bringing you closer to the Knot will bring me closer to what I want,

I know it.

Give me your hand.

Feel my wrist.

I have a heart beat.

I know you have one, too.

Back in Norway...

..in that church, when I grabbed you.

I felt it then.

We are the same, Alisa.

We're mixed bloods - half human, half bloodborne.

How can you be half bloodborne?

You've stopped ageing.

I was the son of Maximilian, leader of the Tova.

I was his...

..disgrace.

When my mother wanted to let the truth come to light,

he turned me into one of his Shadows to spite her.

Letting me forget who I was, who my own mother was.

He used me as his servant, his own son.

Took my mother five years, but she freed me.

Brought me home, told me what happened to me.

She had to reprogram me from scratch.

That's when you started hunting us.

I promised my mother on her deathbed that I'd avenge her.

That I'd rid the world of what my father was.

A monster.

A vampire.

Why did you stop?

Why not strike us down while we sleep? You've had the chance.

I never stopped hunting,

I just found out that I had to kill the root of all of this

if I really wanted to make a difference.

Dracula.

I'm on your side, Alisa.

I really am.

Look.

We've arrived in Hamburg.

OK, everyone, we're here.

Calvina and Ivy, you're with me.

We're going to find the last piece of the puzzle.

Abraham will secure the harbour. Inger, help him.

Malcom and Karen, don't let Tammo and Joanne out of your sight.

Tammo, come with me.

I need you here. Keep an eye on Van Helsing.

Can you do that for me?

Yes, OK.

What did he say about the map?

He said he made it for us.

And you seriously believe that?

Not really.

And does he know that?

Of course not.

We need him with us, not against us.

I have a really bad feeling about this.

Let's just get the last piece of the puzzle, OK.

You've got this, right?

Alisa.

Alisa, please don't share my story with anyone.

I don't want them to think I'm some sort of...

..abomination.

My lips are sealed.

Thank you.

This is where I first met Nicu.

That was your apartment.

Which one is your house?

That burnt one.

I didn't do that to you, did I?

No.

We did.

To get away from you.

Smart thinking.

Alisa...

..what if the last piece of the puzzle

went up in smoke with the house?

We'll have to dig through the rubble and find it.

Come on, let's go.

Wait.

Look.

Redmasks.

You've got to be kidding me.

How are we supposed to get in there now?

I think I've got an idea.

Got it?

We welcome all the new faces.

And, as your leader, I'm proud that we stand united

in our fight to destroy all vampires.

We will find those monsters.

We will take them from their coffin. This way.

We will destroy them all.

We will destroy them all!

Open it up.

Find the girl.

She must be here somewhere.

It wants me to see something.

It must be here somewhere.

It must be.

Look.

That's Alisa's mother.

And I think that's her father.

Aww, this must be little Alisa and Tam.

Come on.

There's someone coming.

What do we do?

Hide.

Quick.

Ivy, wait.

She needs to go to Hamburg.

The last piece of my puzzle to the location of the Knot

is hidden there.

Tell her it's always been right behind her.

It's always been right behind her.

It has always been right behind you.

You found it.

It's just paper with some holes in it.

And some numbers. Let me see.

We need to get out of here now.

Hindrik.

I'm so glad you're here.

I've missed you so much.

We've missed you.

Yah!

Alisa von Vamalia, thank you for showing me the way.

Dracula knows we're in Hamburg, and I think he's coming this way.

What are we going to do?

What are we going to do?!

I don't know.

What the hell do we do?

I don't know! I don't know.
