French horn, what's going on? Are you not aware of how bright your timbre is?

Watch your breathing.

Again!

1, 2, 1, start.

Lan Bo, how many times have I told you?

This part is da-da-da-da, not da-da-da.

Why aren't you paying attention?

We're done for today, let's continue tomorrow.

We're still practicing tomorrow? Why is it like this?

Why is it like this?

Conductor Tian, do you have time for a chat?

What is it, Qing Shang?

Tomorrow I want to add Finlandia to the practice, what do you think?

I think you might be rushing things.

Our rehearsals always go way overtime these days, everyone is already really tired.

I've said before.

Before receiving the approval from Master Fei,

we need to practice hard.

But last time Master Fei already said that we had been pretty good.

Why do you have to torture everyone like this?

Qing Shang, my time in Team A hasn't been long

and I don't fit in well enough with everyone.

It's true that Team A isn't the most perfect right now

but I am a conductor.

Everything in the orchestra has to be under my control.

In short, I hope that before Master Fei comes to visit Team A again,

there's only one sound from Team A.

What do you mean?

What I mean is, everyone must do as I instruct.

How can everyone do as you instruct if you don't give everyone time to rest?

Oh no, oh no.

What is it?

I just saw Master go to Team S.

Master said that Team S is Mario Paci Conservatory of Music's one and only elite team.

They're going to become a family.

- It's so late. What are they doing? - I had enough of them.

Each of them had two dozens of coke and became like this.

And then what? You're leaving them at my place?

Okay, I'll leave them to you.

What does that mean?

Bye-bye!

Why... did I sleep here?

Go wash up and then have breakfast.

After breakfast, get out of my house.

The breakfast at home tastes the best.

There is also a box of soy milk.

Right!

I've already changed the password, don't even try to barge into my house in the middle of the night again.

- What is the new password? - There's no way I'm telling you.

Say, are you being overboard or not?

Let alone you're making a ruckus yourself but you're bringing someone along with you?

How would I know that I would be like that from drinking coke?

I was wrong.

And you! This is my house, not a homestay.

You cannot live as you like, understand?

- I... - What "you"? Do you know you're wrong?

I was wrong.

Here, you dropped this.

Remember! A soldier can never leave his weapon behind.

Thank you, Senior Brother.

- Who is it? - Package delivery.

Why don't I remember having a package?

It's mine!

Are you Fang Xiaowo?

Thank you!

- Why is your package sent to my address? - So I can share it with you.

My dad sent this specially to me.

It's authentic Sichuan hot pot seasoning.

You're not going to eat hot pot at my house again, are you? It definitely won't happen.

Your house is clean, but it's too quiet and lonely.

Definitely not! I won't—

Who is it?!

I came!

Let's start now, Senior Brother!

Put the food down.

Li...

Master.

- Is there anything? - I would like to invite you to watch Team A's performance again.

- Why? - I didn't show my true skills last time.

That...

Sure, what about this? When I schedule a time, I will notify you.

Master, I have a question.

Team A or Team S, which one is your purpose in coming to Mario Paci?

If I say it's Team S, what will you do?

Then I will go to Team S.

You don't have any feelings towards Team A?

This is not about feelings. One day I'll leave Mario Paci and Team A,

One day I'll leave Mario Paci and Team A

but there's one thing that won't change.

I will stand on the best stage.

Okay.

No matter if it's Team A or Team S,

the stage is the same.

I won't play favorites.

Okay, I feel at ease with those words.

Kids these days,

they can be really overbearing.

I'm not used to it. So beautiful!

I think they're the same as you from twenty years ago.

What are you doing?

- You didn't use the perfume I gave you, why? - I never use perfume.

No way, that one is your favorite smell.

I wouldn't remember it wrong.

What I liked back then wasn't the perfume.

It was you but you left, Fei She'er.

Yumin,

- back then, I decided to go to France— - You made the right choice.

I wouldn't give up such a good opportunity, either.

You're not the only jerk that I met when I was young,

so just forget about this. If you feel guilty,

just raise some excellent seedlings for me at Mario Paci.

Oh right. Have you decided who's going to be the student conductor for Team S?

Don't worry, I already have someone.

Do you really think I'm a jerk?

Isn't it pretty?

I think it's quite similar to what we have in the fields at home.

- Jiang Caiwei? br> - It's you.

You... don't look right.

Is something bothering you?

It's my own matter.

I envy others a little.

Jiang Caiwei envies other people?

A lot of people are better than I.

When it comes to my profession, I never envy anyone,

because I know I can do it very well.

I have confidence in myself but...

Speaking of profession, why did you learn how to be an conductor?

Is it because you like it?

At first it was because I liked it.

It's simply my dream.

It just that because of my family later on,

then it isn't as simple.

Let me tell you a secret.

As an conductor, I'm not talented in comparison to others.

So I can only choose hard work.

Only hard work will create improvement.

The lower your starting point is, the more potential for improvement.

This is my life's motto.

- Tian Yisong, you will definitely succeed. - How about you?

I studied vocal at first

was also because I liked it.

But later on,

I get used to it a bit.

Maybe it changed a little with me, too.

- What do you mean? - My parents divorced when I was very young.

They each got married again and had their own careers.

Between them, I was just an awkward existence that couldn't be erased.

When I was small, as long as I won an award,

they would take the initiative to come and see me.

So when I was young, I practiced desperately

hoping that they would come to see me more.

Because of this, I envied Shasha especially.

You... don't regret telling me all these?

Instead, I'm really happy I met with you today.

I told you this much, you has become my garbage can.

It's my honor to be your garbage can.

As long as I can help you, I'm willing to do anything.

Caiwei, trust me!

We can both succeed.

- You finished shopping? - Finished.

I want to ask, are you sure you can fit all these into your small fridge?

My fridge broke but I can put them at your place.

Don't you dare! I've already told you I won't let you step inside my house again.

And I've already changed my password, I won't tell you.

You don't need to tell me, I know it is 3-2-1-8-6-9, right?

That's also your bank card password—

You want the entire world to hear you?

Will you let me put them there?

Will you let me put them there?

I'll let you.

Good, then let's go to pay.

I have to help you carry it?

It's too heavy for me.

- That person is playing the piano. - Let's go and see.

This is so good, do you want some?

Let's go.

Where are we going?

Come here! Come.

Let's—

- Come back. Hurry. - What are you doing?

- There're so many people watching. - Let's play together.

Sit!

Are we really going to play?

Let's do it!

[Piano Room]

- Great! - So Great!

- Excellent! - So good!

Li Zhenyan, you play the piano so well.

Why do you want to be a conductor?

Because... it's my musical dream.

I remember the first time that

I learned about conducting, was in Paris when I was young.

At that time, I saw Maestro Wayn conducting on the stage,

and there was a moment

that I felt like the instruments in everyone's hands

were no longer an individual entity.

It became the conductor's instruments.

The conductor was like holding a magic wand,

he was expressing the music in his heart,

sending it to everyone.

Perhaps, this is why I want to be a conductor.

Li Zhenyan, I'll definitely help you fulfill this dream.

Sweetheart, I told you before,

- that I can't see his— - His talent in conducting, I know!

I will let you see LI Zhenyan's talent.

Keep this letter!

You're not allowed to throw it away!

I won't.

Why isn't she back yet?

It's past dinner time and she hasn't knocked yet.

This isn't like her.

Forget it! Why am I worrying about her?

She won't starve to death.

I'm guessing she'll come back soon.

Isn't this the song I composed?

Wait, wait!

Fang Xiaowo, your tempo is chaotic.

My drum pacing is 76 so why did you change the pace suddenly?

If you are like that, how am I supposed to play with you?

- Is my tempo chaotic? - Chen Zheng, Chen Zheng.

- If your tempo is so exact, then aren't you just a human metronome? - It's natural talent.

- It's natural talent. - He doesn't like that kind of style.

Let's just make it a bit extemporaneous, a bit free.

That way we can express the feeling of Senior's composition, isn't that right?

Okay, you can be extemporaneous but not chaotic.

Okay. Let's do it again and let's listen to Chen Zheng.

We need to let Master know that this piece has the conducting talent.

That way Master would let Li Zhenyan transfer.

Let's try this again.

What does this song have to do with Master Fei and changing departments?

Even though it is a little chaotic, she's clearly only heard it once,

she's still been able to turn it into a piece of chamber music.

It is messy indeed.

But I can see that they are trying their best.

You don't want to know why they're doing this?

It is because I told that girl, unless I saw your conducting talent,

I wouldn't agree with you transferring.

She probably thought that if she performed your piece well,

then this could prove that to me.

Actually, I don't agree with you transferring.

One reason is that I really don't like you.

Of course, there is a more important reason.

Being a conductor has nothing to do

with transferring to the Department of Conducting.

How can it be not related? If I don't transfer, then how will I learn how to conduct?

Self-learning?

Seeing how they are working so hard to help you,

Here!

- I will give you a chance. - A score?

Yes, Deputy Conductor for Team S, try it first.

- R-Really? - Are you happy?

I just said for you to give it a shot.

Not everyone can be the Deputy Conductor of Team S.

If you can't get any recognition, then you will have to leave.

Don't worry, I will use my own ability to prove that I can do it.

- I definitely can. - I'm not the only one who has a say in it.

I wish you good luck.

I'm so tired. Why did you call me over?

What do you want?

You made the meal already!

I was just thinking, before sleeping, you won't have any strength if you don't eat.

Oh right, let me ask you something, what are you busy with recently?

Recently? Why do I have to tell you?

I am busy with something really important.

Fine! Since it's really important, you should eat more.

Or else, you will be confused all day. Don't even think about taking care of anyone else except yourself.

Here, eat this!

Have some more.

Why do I feel like you're being weird today?

How am I weird?

You made me dinner and even put food onto my plate.

Do you feel lonely eating alone?

Are you unable to leave me? Are you finally realizing my importance?

If you won't eat, then give me back the egg.

Really! Eat.

I just know you like me the most.

Yummy!

After rehearsal, bring Fei She'er over to hear our practice.

No matter what, we have to make him agree to let Li Zhenyan transfer.

But will this work? We still don't play the piece well enough.

Who says so?

That's right! We will be fine.

Also, look at how good Master is at picking talents.

He could see my unique talent and chose me as the first violin.

An extremely talented person like Li Zhenyan, he definitely will be fine, too, won't he?

It's time! Why Master is not here?

Do you think Master Fei will take us out to eat with him again?

And this, this Fei She'er, is he the real one? Maybe he's fake.

It is a bit weird.

Can it be Master Fei's twin brother?

He seems like an idiot. Just like... Qiu Qianren and Qiu Qianzhang.(T/N: reference to "The Legend of The Condor Heroes", where the useless older twin brother Qiu Qianzhang always faked to be the powerful Qiu Qianren)

- Qiu what? - Who?

"Iron Sand Palm"! (TN: Reference to the same martial arts novel)

- Hello, all the monkeys! - Hello Master!

Great! Today I brought someone.

- Li Zhenyan? - Isn't that the pianist Li Zhenyan? Why is he here?

It's really Li Zhenyan?

Master, why did you bring him here?

I want to announce something.

Student Li Zhenyan,

from now on will be the Deputy Conductor of Team S. Please welcome him!

- Welcome! - That's great! you are finally a conductor!

From now on, Li Zhenyan will be practising with us everyday?

- Heavens! - What benefit?

First, we're a group of the worst students; now, here comes a conductor who can't conduct.

Will this team even survive? Really?

He's just a bit good looking.

He surely won't be able to conduct. He'll just fake it.

- Li Zhenyan? - I'm ready.

Not everyone is here but it's okay. We can start practising.

Li Zhenyan, today is the first practice, you will conduct.

- I will conduct? - That's right!

Are you nervous?

Instead of saying you are scared, you might as well say you are excited.

Thank you, Master Fei.

Hello everyone.

Today, we

will rehearse Mozart's Symphony No. 31, 'Paris'.

I believe everyone has practised it, so let's get ready to start the practice.

Okay, everyone, show some energy. Tune up!

Is everyone done tuning?

In the future, let me just say this, when tuning,

some sections need to pay attention to volume and pitch.

Then, Qin Fen, pay attention to the first violin...

You're the first violin?

Right, let's start, hurry!

I suddenly have a bad feeling.

Then, let's start.

Thank you so much for earlier.

If I break my instrument again, I really don't have any money to fix it anymore.

That's alright! It was nothing.

I'm Lan Bo, the first cello in Team A, what about you?

My name is Zhuo Yin, I'm with Team S.

Why do you carry your instrument?

I have a practice today so I wanted to bring it home yesterday to practise.

But I missed the bus this morning so I had to carry it to school.

You carried it here? Where do you live?

Around Jingan Temple.

Jingan Temple? That far?

Then this instrument must have been through a lot.

I'm going to be late!

Thank you! Goodbye!

Zhuo Yin.

She sure is interesting.

Mozart's Symphony No. 31 in D major.

This symphony was written in June, 1778 in Paris.

At a time when Mozart hadn't been in Paris very long.

So the title of this symphony is 'Paris'.

It's still an orchestra.

Exactly what are they doing?

No way! It's so bad. Even though you're rookies, how can you sound so bad?

Did this old man pick all the worst students from the school?

Everyone, please stop, please stop!

Here, we should be more excited, energetic and lively.

Wait, wait, stop!

Who allowed you to abruptly stop everything?

Also, what did you just say about Mozart? More excited?

Are you playing Rock and Roll? Sit down!

You have no right to critique others.

You're aware of how well you play the violin, right? Wrong notes everywhere.

Have you practised it well? Are you the first violin? Is that what a first violin should do?

What are you laughing at? Do you all think you have no problems at all?

- Oboe, what's your name? - W-Wu Zheng.

Wu Zheng, right? Pay attention! In the seventh bar, the harmony was totally off.

And you, Trumpet! Did you eat too much?

Playing so loud, do you know what refinement is?

You and the French horn should complement each other.

One has no energy at all for the long note.

Did you have breakfast?

And someone in the second violins played the wrong notes.

What are you looking at? I'm talking about you.

So fierce!

Also really impressive, he knows everything.

- He looks like a real conductor. - That's true!

Why are you so arrogant? Right in front of Zixuan, too.

What totally out of tune? I just forgot to change the reed.

He just pointed out the simple mistakes that everyone can see, what's so great about that?

Over here, over here!

Let's make it hard on him.

How do we do it?

Forget it! There is no point being mad.

It wasn't easy for me to conduct.

Let's just play 'Paris' using my own style.

Let's do it again, watch my conducting!

You're slow.

Pay attention to the dots. The 16th notes should come in a bit later.

The triplets aren't steady, second violin.

Flute, gently.

French horn, stay with the tempo.

Not only they don't have the ability to learn, they're also stupidly messing around.

How can I continue conducting?

My goodness, these idiots!

Sorry, I'm late.

- Conductor. - Since you're late, don't come in.

Do you know the whole orchestra is waiting for you?

- I'm sorry. - You don't have to say anything, get out.

- I'm sorry. I— - Did you not understand what I said?

Get out!

Zh-Zhuo Yin!

Let's pause for a second.

Li Zhenyan, come down first.

You guys performed well.

When we were practising, all the problems

are Li Zhenyan's fault.

On behalf of Li Zhenyan, I apologize to everyone.

Master Fei, what did I do wrong? Which bar did I make the mistake?

Just like before, you talked to a girl like that.

That is your biggest mistake, understand?

Leave the stage!

Mr. Qin, give me your music score.

Forget the music sheet!

Forget the bowing!

Just practice like you did normally.

Didn't you just say Mozart

needed to be more excited and happier?

Just like eating your dad's noodles.

- All right? - All right.

- Yu Yi, do you have a cold today? - Yes.

If you don't feel well, take it easy.

It's alright.

Fan Chen, remember to regularly add lubricating oil to the piston.

- It'll be better. - Okay.

Manman, sweetheart.

You played it well.

Pay attention to me when we practise.

Play the violin a bit... sexier, okay?

Okay.

Fei She'er remembered everyone's name.

It's a pity, just then

Li Zhenyan drove one away but I believe

that next time when we practise, she won't be absent, right?

Look!

They're your companions and friends, not your instruments.

To be a good conductor, what important is not only your ears and ability.

Be a good audience down there today.

Okay. Let's start with what Li Zhenyan just said,

the whole thing, one more time.

Yes.

Indeed! These people are all beginners.

Arriving late, or having problems with their body or reeds.

It's their own responsibility.

But when that person is conducting,

these beginners are able to perform symphonies.

Awesome!

Good!

I understand now. Respecting the music and others,

so the music and others will treat me sincerely.

Then the melody in my heart will flow out.

That person is the true master.

I'm really bad.

Wonderful!

Master Fei, I was wrong.

Please give me one more chance.

Another chance is fine.

But there's one condition.

No problem! As long as I can do it, I will promise you.

What is the name of that girl you chased away?

- Do you know it? - I know, Zhou Yin who plays the bass.

- Bring her back! That's the condition. - No problem.

Also, solve her problem of being late for and leaving early from her practice,

or else you'll be the first one fired from Team S.

Understood?

Don't be so upset! We'll help you figure a way.

Isn't there a saying of "Two heads are better than one"?

Let's solve the problem with Zhuo Yin first.

- Then I'll explain first violin to you, okay? - That's great.

But why is Zhuo Yin always late?

Is she encountering problems at home?

I don't know.

Fang Xiaowo, can you not play on your phone when we're discussing?

I'm getting the information. Zhuo Yin's Weibo only has her working life. (TN: Weibo is a social media platform in China)

I'm asking the twins to help me get some information on Zhuo Yin.

They know everything at school.

I got the answer. They said that Zhuo Yin is renting a room outside and she's working at many different places.

Library, flyers delivery, dessert shop.

Also the convenient store, too.

At this time, she should be at the convenient store.
