A Love So Romantic

Episode 31

Gu Yanxi's endless love. Su Xiaowan finally reconciles with him

You still have feelings for me,

don't you?

Gu Yanxi,

it doesn't matter anymore.

The rain has stopped.

Wait until the clothes are dry.

Then we'll go back.

You haven't answered me yet.

You think you really like me

just because we used to have

fond memories of our time together.

However,

if you met someone else before,

everything would have been different.

In other words,

I'm not suitable for you.

I'm also not the kind of girl you like.

However, I was destined to meet you.

I ended up falling for you

and I'll continue to do so.

Your so-called love is just an obsession.

Why don't you believe in me?

When you lost your memory,

Qianyu and I were staying by your side,

accompanying you,

but you chose her

instead of me.

I didn't.

I...

Don't try to explain.

I gave you a comic book,

but you gave it to her.

You may not remember a thing

at that time,

but the heart would never change.

You mentioned that you wanted to start anew.

I think

that was your real choice.

You and I

have never been the same kind of people after all.

When the crush is over,

we're still incompatible.

Xiao...

Xiaowan.

Gu Yanxi.

Are you all right?

Gu Yanxi!

Are you all right?

Xiaowan,

it isn't like this.

I didn't.

It's hot.

Stay here.

I'll look for a physician.

Don't go.

Gu Yanxi!

Stop it.

Please don't go.

I'm just afraid that

I'll lose you if you leave.

Then,

just close your eyes and sleep.

I won't go.

I won't sleep.

I've been hugging you in my dreams

for the past three years.

You're gone

each time I woke up.

Gu Yanxi,

what are you doing?

Su Xiaowan.

I missed you.

I really missed you.

Xiaowan.

Oh, no.

Oh, no.

It must be a dream

last night.

However, it didn't seem to be.

Was I being irresponsible

for leaving just like that?

Su Xiaowan!

You're finally back.

What's the matter?

Something happened to Ziqian.

What?

What happened to him?

He hurt his foot.

He slept after taking the medicine.

What happened?

How did he get hurt?

We wanted to ask you that.

He left hurriedly

when he got your message

after the training yesterday.

A woodcutter brought him back

this morning.

We found out that his foot

was hurt by an animal trap.

My message?

We're having a competition

in two days.

What should we do?

Consider himself lucky if he can recover.

I just hope he won't be paralysed.

Xiaowan.

Gu Yanxi!

Listen.

No matter what misunderstanding we had before this,

it has nothing to do with me,

even if you want to apologise, compensate me

or whatever.

I only know that Ziqian

helped me to start over.

Whenever I was sad because of you,

Ziqian was always

there for me.

You weren't.

No matter how much I loved you in the past,

I won't let you hurt him.

Nobody can.

No.

I couldn't be with you day and night,

making you happy everyday

and playing with you.

However, I'd been

searching everywhere for you all the time.

Again and again, I had hope,

followed by disappointment.

It took me great effort to find you,

but all you care is another guy.

Do you think I am not upset?

So you could hurt him?

Do you know

how much he likes Cuju?

His feet were badly injured

because of you.

What is he going to do?

What's wrong with him?

What happened

to Ziqian?

His feet were hurt by an animal trap.

Are you sure

it has nothing to do with you at all?

Just leave.

I never want to see you again.

You're awake.

I'm glad to see that.

How are you feeling now?

I feel much better after sleeping for a night.

I'm just a little hungry now.

Let me

get you something to eat.

It's all right.

Su Zhong is preparing my meal.

Silly girl.

I'm fine.

Luckily you're fine.

Otherwise, you wouldn't be able to play Cuju anymore.

This...

This...

This injury is nothing to me.

If I can't play this time,

I can do it next time,

right?

I'm such an excellent player.

It isn't my loss at all.

It's the competition's loss.

Behold my prowess

when I'm back to the field again,

you know?

Don't make me laugh

at this moment.

Just be happy

and I won't do this.

I'm glad that you're fine.

Otherwise, I really

wouldn't know what to do.

Just be happy.

Mr. Yanxi.

Mr. Yanxi.

Look at you.

Who's giving you a hard time?

I'll make the person pay.

Tell me.

How was Ziqian injured?

I...

What have you done?

I...

I didn't do anything.

I

only let him stay in the trap for a night,

so that you and Su Xiaowan

could spend time together.

A trap?

No wonder his foot is badly hurt.

Impossible.

I only pushed him lightly.

I even put several layers of straw

in there

just in case.

Just in case?

Why are you making excuses?

Mr. Yanxi,

did Mr. Ziqian

slap you?

He's currently lying on the bed

and can't move at all.

Then,

could it be...

Let me explain to Miss Su.

Stop.

She's furious.

She'll never listen to anyone now.

Pack up.

I...

I...

Mr. Yanxi,

it's all my fault.

I've wasted your effort over the years.

I've

ruined your relationship with Miss. Su.

When I

see your face,

I just want to slap myself.

I'm sorry.

Don't be ridiculous.

I'm sorry to you.

Sorry.

I just want you to look for a person.

Ziqian, you haven't told us

what exactly happened to your foot.

I heard that this place

was famous for pheasants with colourful feathers.

So I wanted to catch one and make a shuttlecock for Xiaowan.

I didn't expect to fall into a hunter's trap.

I even stepped on an animal trap.

Seriously,

there will be a competition.

What should we do now?

It's my fault.

No.

It's all right.

Say no more.

Just rest well.

Let her look after you.

We'll leave you two,

all right?

Let's go.

No.

No.

The competition

will begin soon.

Stop disturbing them.

Ziqian,

I'm sorry.

You've been apologising to me

since I woke up a few hours ago.

I fell into the trap

because someone faked a message from you.

It had nothing to do with you.

I accidentally stepped on an animal trap later.

What?

What's wrong?

Oh, no.

Mr. Yanxi,

it was my mistake.

No.

Gu Yanxi,

I misunderstood you.

You can punish me as you want.

It isn't right either.

Su Xiaowan,

how could you do that?

I feel like chopping off my hand.

Miss Su.

What are you doing here?

I'm looking for someone.

The guests

have just checked out.

What?

How long has it been?

Where have they gone?

It...

It was about two hours ago.

I think they're leaving this city.

Why are you looking for them?

Nothing.

It's good that they left.

Gu Yanxi.

You're such a petty guy.

You told me

you'd been looking for me for years.

In the end, you still left without a word.

Just leave as you like.

Now that you've left,

don't ever come back again.

If you're really gone,

I'll curse you.

I'll just curse you.

You'll never forget me.

You'll think of me everyday

until you lose all your hair.

You'll become bald.

Your eyes will turn red.

You'll feel dizzy all the time.

It's even better if you have tears and runny nose.

No girl will ever like you.

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

Don't go.

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

It's been three years.

He's still the only guy

who can make you laugh and cry.

Gu Yanxi.

I've finally found you.

You can't leave

without my permission.

All right.

I won't go.

I can't drink like this again.

Dude,

let me tell you something.

I just came back from the river.

I saw a bunch of people

getting a body out of it.

I heard someone had committed suicide.

Who alerted the authority?

I heard it was the young master of a jeweller.

His name was Gu something.

Tell me.

Which river did that happen?

That's terrible.

It couldn't be.

It couldn't be him.

Who is she?

No idea.

This is...

No.

No.

Miss.

Miss.

He's so young.

Impossible.

Impossible.

You're still alive, right?

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

Don't do that, Miss.

He's dead.

Just leave the body alone.

Miss.

Stop it.

Don't be sad.

Don't be sad.

It's a pity.

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

Gu Yanxi.

You're joking with me,

right?

Why is your hand so cold?

You face is so cold.

Your body, too.

Wake up.

Wake up.

You can scold and beat me.

Wake up.

It's my fault.

It's my fault.

I shouldn't have gotten angry with you.

Wake up.

Wake up and go back with me.

Gu Yanxi.

You said you wanted to marry me.

I'd been waiting for you.

How could you just leave?

He opens his eyes.

Is it true?

The person came back to life.

You cheated!

Let me go, liar!

No.

You're my fiancée.

I want you for the rest of my life.

I must hold you tight.

You're shameless.

It's all thanks to you.

Moreover,

everyone saw you kissing me.

Are you an irresponsible person?

I...

You're trying to murder your husband.

You're bullying an innocent girl.

I'm not.

You are!

I'm not.

You're shameless!

I just want to stay with you.

Stop fighting!

Stop it.

Ziqian?

Don't blame him.

It was my idea.

Brother.

Ziqian?

How come you're here?

Su Zhong.

Wait for me there.

Sure.

Brother.

Go back.

She's waiting for you.

I know,

but I still have an unfinished business

to attend to.

Otherwise, there's forever a misunderstanding

between her and myself.

I'll go back when it's done.

Also, regarding your injury,

I'm sorry.

It's all right.

I was careless.

You should go back now.

Don't let her worry about you.

Brother,

I've been accompanying her

during these years.

We cried together.

We played together.

We did crazy things together.

However, I know very well that

I'll never be the one

who can make her sad or happy.

Why are you telling me these?

During these years,

I was afraid that I might regret it.

So I was trying to fight for it,

though she didn't love me.

I've finally realised

that she didn't have feelings for me in the past.

And it won't be in the future.

She's been waiting for you for years.

Don't make her wait any longer.

That was what happened.

We're afraid that you may get upset again.

So,

we came up with a trick

to let you know what you truly wanted.

I see.

So you guys worked together

to cheat me.

It's not like this.

Are you going to ignore me?

It's my fault.

Can't you forgive me?

My wife.

Su Xiaowan!

It's my fault!

Su Xiaowan!

Open the door, Su Xiaowan!

How dare you lie to me.

Su Xiaowan!

How dare you trick me.

You almost scared me to death.

Su Xiaowan!

I won't just forgive you easily this time.

Su Xiaowan!

Why so quiet?

Something is fishy.

Xiaowan,

long time no see.

Xiaowan,

I've been wanting

to see you again over the years

so that I can live with myself again.

In fact, I already knew you weren't Wan'er

before I married Yanxi.

I even knew

much earlier

that he had fallen for you.

After marrying him,

mammy Liu, for my sake,

hired Scar Hui to kidnap you.

She did this

because you got in the way of my relationship with Yanxi.

Did you hire Scar Hui

to kidnap me?

It was mammy Liu.

My wife had nothing to do with this.

Any difference?

It was mammy Liu's doing.

You're right.

Even though I didn't order her to do so,

I was at fault, too.

I'm not here

to make excuses.

I'm here to tell you the truth

in order to clear the misunderstanding

between Yanxi and you.

Back then,

Yanxi got hurt badly

in order to save you.

I felt guilty

and regretful.

When he woke up...

Who are you?

He actually lost his memory.

Are you out of your mind?

To you,

that was

a shocking nightmare.

It was a godsend

for me then.

It was a chance for him to fall for me.

I indulged in this illusion.

It got deeper.

So I pretended not to see

mammy Liu's doing.

She

instructed Imperial Physician Zhao

to tamper with

Yanxi's medication,

until

Ru Ying sneaked into Gu Mansion

to treat Yanxi.

Imperial Physician Zhao is really amazing.

All my pimples

disappeared with just an injection.

Isn't my skin

smooth now?

Yes.

If you asked me,

the skills of Imperial Physician Zhao

must be above Physician Ru's.

Imperial Physician Zhao?

Who is he?

Imperial Physician Zhao.

Imperial Physician Zhao.

Imperial Physician Zhao.

What?

Nothing special.

What's so great about Imperial Physician Zhao?

Isn't this Yanxi's prescription?

50g of female ginseng.

2.5g of donkey-hide gelatin.

2.5g of astragalus.

Yanxi's prescription is so mild.

Why?

It seems to be too mild.

Could it be...

Physician Ru.

Here.

Hurry up.

Hold on.

After this,

I'm afraid we won't meet again.

Physician Ru,

take care.

Move it.

Get in.

Ru Ying's departure

gave me a wake-up call at one point of the time.

I'd always thought

my relationship

was a personal matter.

I didn't expect it to implicate

the only person

who treated me

sincerely.

Later,

I saw that Yanxi

had lost his memory,

but his gaze for you

was still filled with passion.

I began to feel frustrated

and wanted to give up.

However,

fate played a trick

on me at that moment.

It's you.

What a coincidence.

We meet again.

By the way,

do you still have a scar?

Not at all.

Look.

It's healed.

The encounter with Wan'er

made me hopeful again.

Later,

mammy Liu bribed the shopkeeper

and brought the real Wan'er

to Old Madam.

We even forged evidence

of your so-called collusion with Scar Hui

and handed it to Old Madam.

That was why Old Madam

kicked me out mercilessly.

All this was indeed well-planned.

What about the comic book?

What's the deal with that?

I took it from Yanxi while he was in a coma

after coming back

from Yuelao Temple.

So what you said to me that night

was also...

I was so stupid.

I'm sorry.

Does that help?

All that happened

because of my jealousy

and discontentment.

I'd liked Yanxi

since I was a kid.

I had been working hard to be worthy of him.

However, he just ignored my effort.

He loved you.

You were just an ordinary girl

in my eyes back then.

One can't force love.

It's meaningless if you're the only one passionate about it.

Watch your tone, Su Xiaowan.

Don't bully my wife.

You're right.

I realised it too late.

Xiaowan,

I'm sorry.

I'm not hoping for you to forgive me.

I just want you to believe that

whether it's now,

in the past or even

the time he lost his memory,

he's always

been in love with you.

This is for you.

What is this?

A Love So Romantic

Mr. Yanxi put in a lot of effort to recreate it.

He keeps this close to him

and even puts it under his pillow every day.

Where is he now?

He's outside.
