CALL TO JANE JENJI, NO ANSWER

JANE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

IM IMMIE

CAN YOU COME BY?

I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Damn it.

Sir?

Can I borrow your charger?

Thank you.

IM

I'm sorry, the number you've dialed

is not available at this moment.

Please try again.

I'm sorry, the number you've dialed

is not available at...

Hello, Mom?

Goodness, I couldn't reach you at all. Where are you?

I'm in the taxi right now.

And why couldn't I get hold of you?

Well,

I just got to charge my phone.

What? Why didn't you have it charged?

I had to stay in a tent at the camp, Mom.

There was no charger.

Hey, Mom,

can I stop by Im's house first?

It will be late by the time you arrive.

But she called me so many times, Mom.

Maybe something is wrong.

Good evening, ma'am.

-Good evening. -Good evening.

Well...

Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.

IM IMMIE

JANE, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?

CAN YOU COME BY? I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE.

Shit.

Jane.

Wait.

Don't come any closer.

Im...

You're not dead, are you?

Why is your room so messy?

What the hell?

Mom put it there to ward off bad spirits.

In case

they come to get your soul, they will think you're already dead.

Who's going to come and get you?

Wait.

So what's with your family wearing all black,

and why is your grandmother crying back there?

It has nothing to do with me.

Grandma's best friend just died,

so they are mourning.

She said

once you get older, all the friends you've got are for life.

Don't turn it on.

Are...

Are you okay, Im?

I'm not okay.

It's Ball.

He said he's coming, so that I can keep him company, Jane.

He wants me to be with him.

Help me.

You can tell me anything.

I'm here.

There's nothing to fear anymore.

Do you remember the day I called you,

when you were in the camp?

JANE CALL ENDED

CALLING

Hello?

Hello.

Jane, what is this guidance camp thing?

You said you'd only be gone for three days.

You've been gone the whole week. Are you going on a trip without me?

Are you at the seaside?

I'm not at the sea and I'm not on a trip.

I'm tired as heck.

Hey, I have something juicy to tell.

About what?

About Ball.

Ball?

What about him?

-What? -Well,

he and I broke up.

What?

But why?

It's a long story.

I'll tell you when you're back.

All right.

I have to go or Mom will yell at me.

Okay, bye.

-Bye. -Bye.

Okay, Mom.

Who is here so early?

I'll get it.

Oh, Ball is here for you.

Why the hell are you here?

Didn't you get what I just said?

You're going to walk out on me after all this?

-How many times do I have to say it? -Hey,

can't we just talk calmly?

Is this what you call calm?

Seriously, aren't you tired of fighting every day?

-Well, I am sick of it, okay? -Hey, Im.

Im.

Im. Come back and talk to me.

Im.

Im.

Im.

Im.

Im, come back and talk to me. Im.

Im.

Im.

BALL

Why don't you just talk to him, sweetheart?

I tried talking to him, Mom.

He just doesn't listen.

He really won't let me end it.

And could you believe

that he said that if I don't love him,

then nobody in this world does.

But if he gets stressed and takes the easy way out,

it's you who will regret it.

Oh, Mom.

If he's going to die just because of this, then let him.

There's so much more to life than this.

What now?

WHY DIDN'T YOU PICK UP?

I WAS TALKING TO MY MOM

JUST QUIT IT, BALL I'M NOT OKAY WITH THIS

HOW CAN YOU BE SO CRUEL?

What's wrong with you?

Ball.

If you're not going to talk, I'm hanging up.

What do I have to do, Im?

You don't have to do anything.

It's not like we can't be friends after we break up.

We can still talk.

I don't want to be your friend, Im.

I love you.

Ball.

Im, I can't take it. It feels like I'm dying.

Ball, cut out the drama.

You're not going to die.

I don't have a reason to go on without you.

Ball, why would you say that?

Do I have to die, for you to believe me?

Yes.

Just get lost and die.

We'll get back together when you're dead.

PROMISE?

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

JUST LYING DOWN AND CHILLING

BALL

WHAT ARE YOU UP TO? I DON'T LIKE IT

Ball?

Hello, miss.

I'm calling from Chaiphruek Hospital.

You were the last number

that the owner of the phone called.

So we're calling you to see

if you're a family member, so you can pick up the body.

What body?

The owner of the phone

hanged himself last night.

HOW CAN YOU BE SO CRUEL?

PROMISE?

I feel like...

he's still here.

Like he's still around me all the time,

trying to communicate with me.

I've been knocking. Why didn't you answer?

What are you two doing?

Tomorrow,

your grandma is going to her friend's funeral in Ayudhaya.

So I'm going to drive her out there tonight.

Your dad might fall asleep driving.

Come along, Im.

I don't want to go, Mom.

Can you stay home all by yourself?

I can stay with Im for the night, ma'am.

Are you sure?

Okay. I'll be back soon.

Behave yourselves, okay?

Good night, ma'am.

Well,

I need to call and tell my mom.

I already told my mom.

But now,

I think I should help you tidy up the room.

I can't stand this mess.

He's coming, so that I can keep him company, Jane.

I turned off the computer,

the mobile phone,

I turned everything off.

But it feels like he's still here.

I really don't know what to do.

I can't take it.

It's driving me crazy.

Calm down, Im.

It's okay. I'm here.

It's okay.

Shit, I can't take this.

I just can't.

Jane.

Jane.

It's been four years, Im.

You've been everything to me for the past four years.

We promised to always be together

stay close to each other,

and enter the same university.

You told me yourself

that you would ever leave me.

and we will never be without each other.

But you left me!

Ball, I'm sorry.

Ball, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to.

I'm sorry.

I'm scared.

BALL IS CALLING YOU

She's dead, Ball.

She's dead.

Are you satisfied?

She felt guilty, just as you wanted.

She hanged herself because of you,

when you're not even dead.

You have to help me.

Im is seeing another guy. My friend saw her.

But she's my friend, too.

I just want her to feel some remorse.

I'm calling from Chaiphruek Hospital.

The owner of the phone

hanged himself last night.

What is it now?

I can't take it anymore.

I need to call and tell my mom.

I think she's definitely feeling guilty. Just tell her already.

Are you sure?

Remember, you're in this with me since the beginning.

Why are you like this?

Just help me one last time.

Let me see that Im really feels guilty.

And I'll tell her myself.

I'll leave you out of this.

I promise.

I never thought it would get out of control.

I didn't want her to die.

Fuck, I didn't know.

I didn't mean it.

What is it?

What is it?

Im is calling.

It's not funny, Ball.

Just stop this fucking game already.
