Off we raced, fast as we could.

But we couldn't beat the Moon.

Huh! We went 120 km an hour!

The Moon's so fast!

From that night on, we really loved the Moon.

A lot of time passed after the race.

Many days and many years passed.

But Mr. Car and I never stopped thinking about the Moon.

When I grew up, I built a Moon factory.

'Cause it was my favorite thing.

Every day, the factory creates...

All the kids in Robocon Land are super happy.

'Cause we have a lot of bright Moons, so we can go swimming at night...

...and we can play outside as late as we want without going home.

We built a Moon monument on top of the hill.

Every day, lots of photos are taken with it.

The Moon became everybody's favorite.

But there was someone with a big problem.

He was an astronomer who observes the Moon.

He got confused and couldn't tell which Moon was real.

Oh, dear. Oh, dear. What can I do?

The astronomer couldn't sleep.

Even in his dreams, he saw endless Moons.

The astronomer pondered it for 3 days and nights.

Finally, he couldn't tell the difference between dreams and the real world.

On the TV news, he said:

The real Moon is really wonderful.

At school, you learn how to play and you get...

...as much candy and pineapples as you want every day.

That's the real Moon.

The adults heard this and laughed.

But the kids started thinking,

I wonder what the real Moon is like?

The next morning, there were no kids left in Robocon Land.

School had banned balloons, but it seems they flew away with them.

And the next day,

my friend Mr. Car also disappeared.

I wonder, where did everyone go?

So I went there pretty early. I got to Tokyo earlier than usual...

I heard The gates are open! and the crowd started running.

I didn't want to run, but I ran, too.

And I got a seat in the front row.

There was Ringo! Ringo playing live!

And I was sitting right in front of him!

Yeah, that was...I was totally excited.

You know, I've been a Beatles fan since Yellow Submarine.

You've seen that animation Yellow Submarine by the Beatles?

That's what triggered me to be a fan.

Seeing Ringo in the first row...

...it was the best experience of my life.

We all sang 'Yellow Submarine' together at the end...

...I don't think I'll ever have such a moving moment for the rest of my life.

...I was at Zepp Tokyo a few years ago for a Bob Dylan concert.

He's great, too. He got the Nobel Prize.

You know, I don't think he's great because he got the Nobel.

He was always great, even without the Prize, for a musician.

Not too many composers can write like he does.

Dylan's Dylan, Prize or no.

But I had this terrible experience at the Dylan concert at Zepp Tokyo.

...and they had trouble fixing it.

The audience started rattling the seats.

That's when this terrible thing happened.

Man, it was so offensive.

I wanted to punch out that old fart.

And other people were shouting,

Like a Rolling Stone!! Totally screaming.

Honda-san, I was wondering, what's your favorite Beatles album?

Well, that's a very difficult question. Yeah, mine changes all the time.

My current favorite is probably...

well, I love them all.

Everybody likes 'Sgt. Pepper's' and 'Rubber Soul.'

Me, I love the early ones,

like 'Please Please Me' and 'With the Beatles.'

I love 'Yeah, Yeah, Yeah' and 'Beatles for Sale' too.

Lately, I listen to their earlier music.

One day I was listening to Paul's solo albums,

and I realized his talent is like a total anomaly.

In the Beatles era, the Wings era, his solo career...

...no one has created as many masterpieces as he has.

Yeah, of course George showed signs of being a genius in the Beatles era.

Think about 'All Things Must Pass,'

written when he was only 27 or 28.

Nobody in their 20s ever did that.

Today's 20-somethings, I don't get it. They're just hanging around,

reading One Piece and going We're besties! and shit.

Maybe it's the generation gap.

Maybe I have no cause to complain,

but to be honest, I get so upset when I see young guys,

just hangin' out, man.

You know Yoko Ono, right?

Mr. Honda, are you pro or con?

In my case, I stand in the middle...

...neither pro nor con.

Yeah. The majority of Beatles fans,

are pretty negative about her, is the image I have of her.

They say things like, she bewitched John,

and lots of other pretty negative stuff about Yoko Ono.

I don't feel that way about her.

But I had this kinda memorable thing happen that's related to her.

Maybe it was when I was in college, when I was a student

I went to the Yoko Ono show at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Obviously, as a Beatles fan, I couldn't just ignore her.

So, I went to the show with my brother.

We found this frame with nothing in it.

It was like, this is a picture of your heart.

Imagine that. But good or bad, it was still a Yoko Ono picture.

After that, we saw the famous one,

where John first saw Yes written on the ceiling.

Before they got married. It was that kind of show.

But what impressed me the most was,

have you ever seen that film she directed, called Four?

I couldn't get that out of my head.

The one that shows human butts for the whole 90 minutes?

That Yoko Ono show was pretty expensive to get in...

...considering I didn't want to see it that badly.

I paid a lot, so I didn't want to miss anything.

Almost no one watched that whole film. But I did.

Really, it was 90 minutes of butts. Only butts.

After 90 minutes of watching human asses continuously,

I realized watching butts for 90 minutes doesn't enrich your life.

Yeah, seriously, that was a pretty unique experience.

If you have the chance, you really should see it.

It's probably the first and last time I'll ever watch butts for 90 minutes.

In that sense, I'm glad I had the experience...

...of going to the Yoko Ono show.

As for 'Imagine,' sorry I talked about it so much,

but 'Imagine' is, no doubt...

...one of the finest musical legacies in human history.

But John Lennon left this masterpiece,

and his message has been lost.

I truly believe that.

Somehow, the world got so nutso after Trump was elected president.

And war is looming.

The news is all about North Korea...

...shooting off missiles.

What the hell is that?

All I can say is, if everyone listened to the Beatles,

there would be no ugly conflicts in the world, like war.

It's just incomprehensible to me.

We just need...

...more love and peace in this beautiful world.

Otherwise, all human existence becomes meaningless.

Because the world wasn't made only for human beings.

If you look around, it's not only humans living here.

Birds lives in the skies above, insects live in the ground below.

See, I really believe this.

Everyone should live in peace.
