staying in ancient sergeant I don't know

about that but I'm staying in long as I

can hold life I hope first time we ever

saw one so what guy loved the army so

much one make a home out of it I think

natural well for Olli Joe it's as

natural as blueberry pie

considering the fact he don't know who

his mother and father were or where he

was born why for that matter humming you

know so much about him he told me he was

just a two-legged animal running scared

lonely and hungry until the day he got

drafted yes sir that boy was born 18

Holly Joe

I kind of feel sorry for

what's he gonna do if he needs that

thing in a hurry

that's good enough you better put that

thing together

I could have counted the top of that

hill and then back by this time couldn't

I have Charlie sure you could good I

must have done something wrong but I

told him I said I said Sarge you know if

I'm doing something wrong

all you got to do is tell me about it

you just tell me once and I won't do it

again just like it used to be with with

lieutenant Earnshaw right charlie

right yeah

perfect that's what he always was saying

about me come on Ollie put it together I

mean clean enough yet yeah keep your

hands off that come on lolly

put that together

sure sergeant I have to get in no time

keep it that way

I guess the start was right do you know

what that training manual says

the m1 must be kept clean at all times

especially after excessive use yeah

perfect

sergeant mind if I say something well go

ahead well it's about Olli Joe see he's

one of a kind he thinks he's got to be a

perfect soldier which of course nobody

is you know and I know it but all I do

know most he's been away as long as I've

known him he means well shortly yes well

if you could just kind of go easy on it

who knows you might even be good used to

being used as a father image hey what

you talking about father image well it

seems to be what he's looking for

I salute in the night show got it this

morning he was this and before that it

was every drill sergeant top kick the

kid had you know what he did tonight he

made PFC wide clean every rifle in the

platoon single-handed
