the right to read that huh I walk in a

crowd territory with you I figure that

gives me the right well you don't have

to walk in the crowd territory with me

relieves us from duty what's your name

launching a counter-attack in that

sector what are you carrying

compositions see you ever use it yeah

I've used it you act like you want to go

we've got no choice Klein the Sarge here

is about to give a speech about an NCOs

right to take independent action when

the situation warrants it isn't that

about independent action - all right we

understand each other not those you're

told

guys I know we've got no choice

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Applause]

we try to avoid a fight Little John

Tector era

[Music]

okay now yeah I guess

[Music]

don't forget your ammo

[Music]

how far is this bridge about a mile up

the river found a bump innocent crowns

before we get there Sarge I think we

ought to dump those other two flaming

Lenin I don't ask you what you think you

figure out cow moon or thief are going

to be much help to us I figure I need a

6-minute of the job I got father gonna

have to do I say the four of us can

handle it ourselves

look sergeant I had stripes torn I

didn't get him for nothing

but you didn't lose him for nothing

either

[Music]

I like to throw his weight around any

words killer words it only nothing way

to get into trouble we'll see if he

shows me stomach for a fight

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

point

[Music]

[Music]

over here

go through those trees along the water

suppose they spot us we'll be like

saying ducks it won't spot us as good

cover why not take him we start a fight

with him to get on the radio alert every

crowd in the area little John take the

rear

all right not one of the times

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

Little John they'll see us they won't Oh

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

Saunders I told you to leave him behind

- go right up the slope they got the

radio

[Music]

Klein can tell you're on me

[Music]

get that radio I can get it you a client

stay here keep the cross on Photoshop

[Applause]

sergeant

[Applause]

stop right here

[Applause]

[Music]

all right where do you pick your doing

huh

hey what's eating you we got him didn't

we your job was to take out that radio

well if you left him behind this would

never have happened in the first place I

told you to get that radio and you you

and Clyde's supposed to keep the Krauts

off little John Klein told me to help

you no he did huh

Klein since when you're giving out

orders well you needed help so I kept

the Krauts off little John you're dead

huh well what the barrels cold your name

fire it let's jam I'm telling you guys

my rifles Jam are you sure it's jammed

no I mean but it was Jim look you get

this straight when I give you an order

you do it oh you're not gonna get out of

here alive you got that

[Music]

Oh John take the point I move out

[Applause]

[Music]

Sharjah let him move out

[Music]

[Music]

Little John hold it up

take five candle you're on security

[Applause]

[Music]

we're not lost awfully well we're not

lost

listen sorry my rifle really was jammed

back there no by the time I got to fix

the battle was over I want you to

believe that let's say just better not

happen again

yeah sure Sarge I know you got me

figured for a pretty bad apple I mean

all that stuff about the black market

but everybody plays the odds you're

doing it with us I mean that's life you

know what you want you study the odds

you make your move now if you get caught

well that's the breaks you understand I

mean everybody's for number one I think

of course every now and then a couple of

guys can do a favor for each other for

instance well you're in a bind about

this bridge so I say to myself I say

give him a break

give him a hand yeah you've been a big

help

well I can be I've got something going

for me after all the brass heard that I

was some kind of a heroic soldier on

this trip

well they might just go a little easier

on me in the court-martial

you know what I mean I know exactly what

you mean

[Music]

alright let's go out

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

ain't gonna be easy you are crazy we're

not gonna be able to get near that

bridge flying if I had my way you

wouldn't be within a hundred miles of

this place or him either all right knock

it off the both of you work on the last

band now we gotta be finished pretty

soon

[Music]

Wade over there against that Bank

[Music]

no Ashley Bryce is gonna be easy

especially with these jokers

[Music]

looks like they're taking off yep

do you have any idea how you're gonna

use this punch yeah I got a couple you

know if you could get kandel away from a

hash you might be alright I'm counting

on that

[Music]

how you doing candle

okay I'll be ready when you are your

sergeant got all his plans figured out

he'll let us know what he does you've

been with Saunders long

yeah and he got nothing to worry about

he knows what he's doing

I don't worry sergeant Nash and I have

been through plenty worse than this

before

well can del ash isn't carrying those

stripes anymore I've only got one Sarge

here and that's Saunders one thing sure

loyal you got the wrong idea I know what

I'm well off you don't well what's that

supposed to mean look you've been

getting along kind of information you

think that Ashe is some kind of a hero

don't you well there's nothing big about

going AWOL and getting tanked up and

slugging an MP well give me that little

John look I've seen him in action

look I'm not saying he isn't a good

fighter but he isn't my idea of a good

leader and if you follow him you'll wind

up dead

[Music]

Lenin candle you're on little John take

a position along the river and set up a

diversionary fire ash flying you're on

me we'll take the explosives we'll cross

up to the road and wait when the Krauts

answer that fire we'll cross the other

side of the bridge slipping into water

and set our charges up underneath it all

right sounds good Sanders only I figure

I should be too want to keep the Germans

busy

Saunders anybody could set charges you

better put your fighting strength where

it's needed I don't want to fight ash

I want a diversionary action why do I

have to go with you hey Sarge

I'll go with you and ash you're gonna go

and do what I tell you all of you Little

John you have climbing explosives let's

go

[Music]

yeah I don't feel good come on he'll be

okay but

[Applause]

[Music]

I don't trust that client when we take

candle with us why don't you leave the

kid alone

gonna fight his own kind of war who's

stopping them you are you got them

thinking you're indestructible that's

gonna get them killed Saunders I fight

the best way I know how

even if it isn't always by the book it's

yeah that's when they took my stripes

away why don't you fight that battle

some other time right now I need all

that help I can get

I can't fight the Krauts on us

[Music]

Little John you and Lenin give us ten

minutes and then you open up

I'll give us plenty time to get to the

road Candela will drop you off further

on

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

get him up

[Music]

[Music]

I'm sorry

[Music]

let him cut a road back and wait for us

I'm sorry the wrong line on your way for

us

[Music]

[Music]

you mean he's out of it just like that

little job we'll have to make it up the

river alone oh now wait a minute he just

cries a little that lets him off the

hook

he's no good to his client well I'll

tell you what Saunders I think I'm gonna

cry too

so you better send me back with Lenin

you can just get somebody else to carry

these pick it up like I said I didn't

like the odds before if London doesn't

go neither know why

[Music]

[Music]

he wouldn't do that son

that'll be murder you're going with me

there at Bridge how do you know I won't

bug out like that

Lenin can't help what he is but I figure

you get cornered you fight like a rat

just to save you a hide pick it up

pick it up

[Music]

well John take off

let's go

[Music]

you

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

still wish I was going with you

I know so I'll just watch you here

because he can count on you it'll be

okay

you know I've been thinking it over it's

a good plan it's the way I do it myself

it is yep it's the right move I can do

you find yourself a spot where Little

John opens up you do the same

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Music]

[Applause]

[Applause]

[Applause]

[Applause]

[Music]

[Music]

boy you ever see anything work so smooth

I didn't see what hit him

oh and you were right to outsiders I

mean you really had a ticket goodell big

security rest you take five

[Music]

how's your shoulder

oh it hurts pretty good you know taking

a slug like that at close range did you

see how close that kraut was when he cut

loose hmm well that's the breaks I guess

but the important thing is we got the

job done didn't we

hey you know I might even get a medal

yeah volunteering bravery in action I

don't count for something at the

court-martial more like I say they're

really important thing is a satisfaction

of knowing that you've accomplished

something worthwhile right Sarge

take line now shut up with you

okay let's go

[Music]

I don't know you forgive those guys well

we made it yeah guess it takes all kinds

in the war

[Music]

[Music]
