The crime rate in Batavia City has gone up.

We've just received word from our reporter on the scene...

...these are the last moments of...

According to the survey

by urban institution Mardani,

this city has become increasingly unsafe.

Hello.

Edi?

Dad, help!

This is your beloved son.

What did he do?

This is all your fault.

I am the one you want.

Let him go!

Sorry I'm late, I had a problem in the café--

How long are you gonna be a waitress, Sri?

Please, Mom, let her eat first.

Sri...

- More? - Enough, thanks.

Why don't you work at Umbra's office?

Help your big brother. You will have a proper job,

so you don't have to be a waitress anymore.

I don't like working at the office, Mom.

Do you want to be a waitress for the rest of your life?

Mom, she knows what's best for her.

I don't know how to handle your sister.

She never listens to me.

Never finished her college.

What I want for her is to have a proper job,

so she won't be miserable in the future.

I promise I won't be your burden.

Sri!

Please don't take what Mom said too personally.

I miss Dad.

He was the only one who understood me.

Anyway, how's your casting? Any luck?

Yes, but only a small part.

Sri.

I know Mom often pisses you off.

But she's the only one we have.

Maybe she's lonely.

Or maybe she's afraid we are neglecting her.

I'm asking you

to be more patient with Mom, okay?

I must go now.

You take care of Mom.

Wi, Wi, camera stand by.

Ready.

- Ready? - Okay.

There's been a robbery at Ponsa Gallery...

For the last couple of years,

the criminals,

big or small,

they're all syndicate.

They're united,

that's why it's so hard for us to get rid of them.

This is so embarrassing.

Let me say hi

to all of you people in Batavia City.

I'm sure you're not having enough sleep

because you are being haunted by many questions.

- Mr. Syamsul! Chase him! - Did I...

- ...lock the door? - Mr. Syamsul!

Sorry, Miss.

Give me a moment to interview...

Are my children safe

when they return from school?

Or a question, like,

"Who's following you when you were working late?"

I've turned this into a terrifying city.

I prefer to call it a horrifying city.

Anyone who stands in our way, will die in agony.

Anyone, including the police!

We are going to be a bit generous to you all,

as long as you don't fight back,

and we could be more gentle as long as you obey us.

I, The Shadow, will protect you.

And now, make your decision.

Good evening.

Enjoy this beautiful night.

Valentine is a superhero, in the movie.

Before we get to that, let me be real with you.

Every producer...

you're gonna be a role model for the kids.

We're gonna inspire the people of Batavia City,

Hey... Maybe the whole world.

We're talking about making a movie, Val.

It's a superhero movie.

Finally! There! My first question answered.

Okay, now that we're all in the same page,

any other questions?

C-- Can I get a drink?

Oh, yeah, I'll get it.

Okay, so we start tomorrow. We'll go and fight crime,

get it on camera, release the teasers on YouTube,

so that everyone knows that this hero exists.

Wait, I get to fight for real?

- Yes, for real. - What? For real?

Now, don't worry, we'll take every precaution for your safety,

but seeing your skill sets, I think you can handle it.

Do I get any days off?

Relax, I'm here.

Do I get paid here?

At this time, we assume that Shadow is shot dead

Evidence found by Inspector Lukman revealed

that Shadow was Umbra Bumantara,

son of the late Inspector General Bumantara.

Five years ago, the death of Inspector General Bumantara

was linked to the illegal weapons case,

that cost the country almost 250 billion rupiah.

But the latest evidence found by Inspector Lukman

has revealed the truth that's been kept hidden

by two of his colleagues at that time,

Commissioner General Syamsul and General Bambang.

They purposely made Bumantara

as the fall guy for the illegal weapons' case.

Umbra A.K.A Shadow, was terrorizing Batavia City

due to his hatred of the police department

who caused the death of his father.

It's hard to justify his actions,

even though we understand his reason.

Shadow, the criminal of Batavia City

had exposed the corruption in the police department.

In an attempt to clear the police department's name

and save the royal guest's life,

Commissioner General Syamsul died in Shadow's hand.

Batavia people thanked the police

especially Syamsul, for keeping his promise

to fight the crimes committed by Shadow's gang.

Batavia people also mourn for the death

of Commissioner General Syamsul.

Turns out, Bumantara was set up by his own colleagues,

Commissioner General Syamsul and General Bambang

Inspector General Bumantara was a victim.
