[Poisoned Love]

[Episode 23]

OK.

Let's proceed to the second session.

Bride and groom, please wear the rings for each other.

Shi Meng is not here yet. Quickly go over.

Ladies and gentlemen,

let's take a short break...

before the second session.

This...

Why we need to take a break?

Because I want to perform for all of you.

Yes.

A small...

Something like...

The thing that Zuo You loves the most in this world...

is Cola.

And the thing that I love the most in this world...

is you, Zuo Yao.

OK.

Zuo Yao,

marry me.

It seems that this gentleman is quite excited.

His emotions must have been affected by the romantic atmosphere here.

Sorry, everybody.

We still should know...

who are the main characters today.

I hope all of you can give attention and applaud...

for our bride and groom, OK?

-OK. -OK.

[I believe...]

[Shi Meng will definitely come.]

[If...]

[Shi Meng didn't appear in the end,]

[can you act with me until the end?]

Fang Yan...

-Fang Yan... -She fell sick?

How come she acted weirdly?

I think she's sick.

Be careful!

[I know that...]

[you'll come definitely.]

[She's really a drama queen.]

[She looks like as if she's really sick.]

Shi Meng, stop there!

You still want to act?

This drama...

should end here.

[I'm sorry, Fang Yan.]

[Please forgive me that I couldn't explain it to you now.]

[Please give me more time.]

[You'll understand everything eventually.]

Shi Meng,

I'm sorry.

Actually, I...

We just want you to appear.

It was the plan of Shi Yi and I.

You won't be angry, right?

Stand up.

Silly girl,

how can I be angry?

Actually, it's all my fault.

I shouldn't have made you worried.

I should have accompanied you.

It's OK.

The most important thing is...

you're here.

You don't have to worry.

I will settle the company matter.

I'm not worried.

I think all these difficulties that we're facing now...

are a challenge for us.

As your wife,

I have to always be with you.

We're sharing each other's fortunes.

Of course we have to share each other's burdens too.

No need.

I won't let you be in hardship anymore.

You look down on me?

-No. -Let me tell you.

I'm very sincere in relationship.

From today onwards,

I'll live...

a frugal life with you.

Then, let's eat steamboat together?

It is a waste of money.

Why do we need to eat steamboat?

We'll go to the wet market.

Wet market?

Yes, let's go to the wet market.

I have to calculate our budget...

-and decide what to buy. -Wet...

Your frugal life is to come to the wet market?

You'll not need to pay much more if you order a delivery.

Even a small amount makes a difference.

Not only we can save money,

we can experience life too.

We can kill three birds with one stone.

Of course it is more worthy to do this than ordering food online.

I'll listen to you in future.

No, I'll listen to you when it comes to big matter.

There's no big matter in future.

OK.

Brother, can you give me a few more pieces?

I've bought so many vegetables, right?

This guy is really handsome.

He looks so good when he smiles.

Thank you.

Sister,

if I ask him to smile one more time,

can you give me a few more pieces of vegetables?

Smile.

OK, I'll give it to you.

Sister, you're so kind.

I wish you a prosperous business.

What is that?

This is goose meat.

-Goose? -Goose?

-No. -Let's go.

-Let's go. -Goo Se...

Let's go. I'm sorry.

Goo Se...

Let's eat fish tonight.

OK.

Then, you buy the fish here,

and I'll buy the condiments.

Remember, we must...

-OK. -We must save money!

OK.

Boss,

give me a fish.

OK.

Which type do you want?

We have grass carp,

Crucian carp, yellow croaker,

and bighead carp. Which one do you want?

I want...

the one...

The one...

The cheapest one.

What?

Can you talk louder?

That kind.

You want those that can make you strong?

-No. -OK, I know it.

I have terrapins here.

-This is definitely what you want. -No.

You can make your wife even more satisfied.

No, I said those...

Young man, don't be shy.

I understand you.

You want to restore your virility...

and be masculine again.

No, I know...

It's OK. I'll offer you a cheaper price.

I'll give it you. Take one.

I want the cheapest fish.

Please send it to Tianbei New Area, the 14th building, number 2101.

OK.

How is it?

-I've bought it. -Did you follow my idea...

and use it on the spot?

-Yes. -Really?

I've bought the cheapest fish and it'll be delivered to our house.

Young man, do you still want your terrapin?

Terrapin?

We can't buy fish anymore.

We've already replaced meat with tofu.

You still want to buy "fake fish"(terrapin)?

It's OK as long as we don't get diarrhoea.

-Let's go. -You're such a bad boss.

And you have better tactics than me.

Let's start.

How come it's only half a fish?

Didn't we buy a lot of food?

Young master,

now...

we have to split the food of a meal into three meals.

This is called a frugal life.

Your life has become tough...

with me.

No.

The most important thing...

for a couple is companionship.

Nothing is more important than that.

I can...

support your life too.

You support my life?

You can continue to be a pretty boy.

I'll...

be responsible to earn money and pay for our living.

It's quite true that...

it'll be hard for you...

if you have to be a pretty girl.

What did you say? I'm a pretty girl Jiangnan.

If you don't like me, it's you who is blind.

OK, I'm blind.

You're pretty.

You're the prettiest.

Come, eat fish.

Pretty girl from Jiangnan.

Pretty girl from Jiangnan doesn't want to eat.

Then, I'll eat.

I'll take a bite of this.

Is it good?

It's good.

Good that it's tasty.

Xiao Yi,

I heard that a lot of people in the company...

are hoping Shi Meng to come back.

Looks like everyone likes him.

Since everyone likes him,

then we'll change them away.

Xiao Yi,

don't be too jealous of your brother.

You're a real man. You should know when to yield and when not.

Uncle Gu,

do you know what people wrote about me on the internet?

They said I have embarrassed myself.

I should buried myself.

I'll continue to observe Shi Meng.

Xiao Yi,

I just took over the position as a chairman.

It's not good for me to interfere the financial side of things.

You take care about it for me.

We can take the opportunity to settle Shi Meng's matter.

OK, Uncle Gu.

Don't worry.

I'll make him pay the price.

You're here.

Explain to me.

Why do you want to be engaged?

Why do you want to involve Fang Yan in this?

Gu Yuan Zhou still doesn't trust me.

He doesn't allow me to interfere in the company's financial matters.

Therefore,

I used this engagement to cheat him.

I hope he can trust me earlier.

[Nine days ago]

[Where are you?]

[I want to see you now.]

[OK, I'll come immediately.]

[What happened? You sounded urgent.]

[Do you still remember about...]

[the incident which I was kidnapped when I was a kid?]

[Fang Yan was the kid who were kidnapped together with me.]

[This is the reason why I can treat her illness.]

[So, you were really kidnapped when you were a kid.]

[Is Fang Yan's illness...]

[related to the person who kidnapped both of you?]

[She hid at a corner that time.]

[Although she didn't see the face of the kidnapper,]

[she heard the kidnapper...]

[argued with a man.]

[Do you know who is that man?]

[Who is that?]

[The man...]

[was there to look for me.]

[He called the kidnapper...]

[as Xiao Liu.]

[Xiao Liu?]

[Uncle Liu?]

[Isn't that the nickname of Gu Yuan Zhou?]

[And only Dad calls him the nickname.]

[Could it be that...]

[the kidnapper was Gu Yuan Zhou...]

[and the person who looked for you was Dad?]

[According to Fang Yan,]

[the reason they argued...]

[was because of a financial report.]

[Financial report?]

[Could it be that Dad disappeared because of this?]

[I'm just guessing it now.]

[We still need evidences...]

[to know the truth.]

[Gu Yuan Zhou...]

[Financial report.]

[Let's not talk about this first.]

[Gu Yuan Zhou looked for you earlier?]

[Yes.]

[He looked for me to discuss about matters related to the board of directors.]

[He really gave up on me.]

[The company is in the midst of changing board of directors now.]

[You're the easiest person to get a position.]

[How about this?]

[Are you willing...]

[to act with me during the board of directors' meeting?]

[I would like to nominate Mr Gu Yuan Zhou...]

[as the new director of Concept Pictures.]

[You are the one who chased Shi Meng away.]

[If I tell you now that...]

[I have my own reason.]

[Do you believe me?]

[Now is the time that Shi Meng needs me the most.]

[I need to find him.]

[If I tell you now that...]

[I have a way...]

[that can help you to find Shi Meng,]

[are you willing to cooperate with me?]

You didn't see Fang Yan's sad face...

when she was trying to find you.

You have to go back to her sooner or later.

I know you won't promise me this.

That's why I act...

without discussing with you.

Now that this has past, let's not mention anymore.

We shouldn't involve her in this in the future.

OK.

I'll promise you.

Oh yes.

Look at this.

Gu Yuan Zhou really did some dirty tricks to the company's financial.

It turns out to be...

the reason he kidnapped me then...

was to threaten Dad...

and forced Dad to handover the evidence of his crime.

The possibility is high.

Because only Dad and Gu Yuan Zhou...

know about this incident.

If it's really like that,

then I know what I should do next now.

Let me tell you,

actually I was really angry about Shi Yi last time.

He threw the egg.

Do you know that the son of Goo Se...

had gone through so many hardships in order to survive?

If it's like what you said,

then he's really bad.

Not only he's really bad, he's extremely bad.

And I watched the news just now.

The news reported that Shi Yi has become a producer.

And he'll take over the production of The Tale of Water Utopia.

Is Shi Yi's zodiac sign a rat?

Why did he...

steal the fruits of your labour?

Then,

he's extremely bad.

Moreover, he's heartless.

Yes.

Why?

No.

You're a bit weird.

Those words that you uttered don't sound like words that'll come from you.

Really?

Then...

It's...

like this.

Regarding Shi Yi,

actually,

the impact to me...

is really huge.

It's OK.

It's OK.

Don't be sad.

Let bygones be bygones.

Although I can't protect you...

like I protect the son of my bird,

I'll be working very hard...

and use all my strength to protect you.

OK, my darling.

[Quickly start the plan]

The financial report of our group lately...

looks very good.

Other projects are also progressing steadily.

We still need everyone to work hard together.

[Quickly start the plan]

OK.

Let's end today's meeting.

We'll discuss again in next meeting.

Meeting dismissed.

Xiao Yi.

What's wrong, Uncle Gu?

Let's have a tea in your office.

OK.

Let's go.

Uncle Gu, I'll take a call first.

OK.

Hello, Mum.

What is it?

What?

Shi Meng used the kidnapping case to make an issue again?

I won't care anymore.

OK, I know.

Uncle Gu, let's go.

Let's go.

Xiao Yi,

you've seen just now during the meeting, right?

Some old directors...

still support Shi Meng very much.

You have to build good rapport with them...

[The Tale of Water Utopia]

to avoid Shi Meng making a comeback...

and defeat you without you knowing.

Uncle Gu, don't worry.

Shi Meng...

can't do anything big here.

What do you mean?

You knew it too.

Over the years,

Shi Meng has been avoiding the incident which he caused the death of my dad.

He said that...

he didn't run away when he was a kid.

He was actually kidnapped.

Is it?

Isn't that a lie by a kid?

Over the years, nobody has ever cared about it.

Yes.

But lately,

he has been investigating about that kidnapping case.

He said that...

he found new evidence about the kidnapping case.

He said that there was a witness...

who saw my dad went into the mountain back then.

He was holding a document folder.

Then, he went around to look for evidence...

like a crazy man.

Yes, it sounds crazy.

It has been 20 years, right?

That's why...

he won't care about the company.

Don't worry.

Come.

Add some tea.

[Shi Yi]

What is his reaction?

I think he fell into our trap.

Let's prepare for the next step.

Morning.

It smells so good.

What is this?

This is...

Goo Se.

I'm just joking.

It's pig trotters soup. It's true.

-Really? -Yes.

Looks like it. You cook something so nutritious in the morning?

That's because today we need this pig trotters soup...

to fuel our energy.

Looks like I have to fuel your energy first.

Did you get it?

-Be energetic. -I've got it.

Coming.

Come, let's try.

It smells so good.

How is it?

It's good.

It's very good.

Your cooking skill is improving each day.

If you like to drink,

I'll make for you every day.

Why?

Is this still the abnormal Mr A whom I know before?

Why?

Do you want me to become the previous Mr A?

Of course not.

You can't be Mr A anymore, you have to be good to me.

You have to be very good to me...

to make up all the bad things that you did to me before.

OK.

I'll treat you very good.

Extremely good.

Let's make a promise.

Idiot. It should be like this.

You've promised me.

You can't eat your words.

You shall not go out today.

Wait for me at home.

I have something important to tell you when I come back later.

Can you promise me?

OK.

I'll get one more bowl for you.

OK.

Give me a kiss.

[Something important?]

[Could it be that he wants to propose to me?]

[Fang Yan,]

[wish me luck.]

[But recently,]

[he said that he found new evidence about the kidnapping case.]

[He said that there was a witness...]

[who saw my dad went into a mountain back then.]

[He was holding a document folder.]

[Brother,]

[where are you?]

[Quickly bring the ledger over.]

[If not, you'll never see your son anymore.]

[I won't trust your words anymore.]

[Zhang has told me that...]

[you want to make a police report.]

[Why are you still acting in front of me?]

Could it be that...

[Psychology consultation Psychological diagnosis book Fang Yan]

How is it?

Do I look good?

Is...

Is it not looking good?

Then...

This seems quite good.

Would this be too much?

-Actually I think this... -Dear...

Shi Meng will be proposing you...

and I almost die because of your torture.

This...

-is very pretty. -Really?

-Perfect. -Really?

Beautiful.

-This is it. -Yes.

Thank you, Yao Yao.

Is Shi Meng back?

OK.

Hurry up.

-Shi... -Hi,

are you Ms Fang Yan?

Yes.

Your flowers.

Thank you.

You are welcome. Please sign here.

Flowers?

Looks like Shi Meng finally...

knows how to be romantic.

"Five o'clock in the afternoon."

"I'll wait for you here."

[Five o'clock in the afternoon. I'll wait for you here. Be sure to wait!]

"Be sure to wait!"

"I'll wait for you here."

Where is it?

-Where is it? -What where is it? Take it.

Where are you going?

Shi Meng dated me to our old dating place.

She's so anxious.

Old dating place?

Woman in love...

is scary.

[Are you confident?]

[Don't worry. He's suspecting that the ledger is with me.]

[He'll definitely pay attention to my whereabouts.]

[We just have to wait for him to fall into our trap.]

It's really here.

[Looks like brother really brought the ledger report here.]

Uncle Gu,

it's really you.

This ledger report...

is the evidence of your financial deficit back then.

You kidnapped me because of this, right?

If your dad didn't force me with it back then,

things will not be like that.

I guessed it correctly.

Back then,

your dad told me right here that...

he doesn't have the evidence of my financial deficit.

[I kidnapped you and kept you here then.]

[Your dad promised me on the phone.]

[I waited your dad to bring the evidence here.]

[Xiao Liu.]

[Xiao Liu.]

[Xiao Liu, where is my son?]

[I've said it. You have to give me the ledger record first.]

[I don't have the ledger record.]

[I don't plan to investigate...]

[about your financial deficit.]

[Xiao Liu,]

[you can't do something illegal again.]

[It's all my fault.]

[But, you are the cause of everything today.]

[I don't want to say anything now.]

[If I can't get the ledger report,]

[you won't see your son anymore.]

[What did you do to my son?]

What did you do to my dad?

Where is my dad?

Since you want to know about it,

you ask him them.

-Shi Yi. -Shi Meng.

Are you alright?

Gu Yuan Zhou,

I've reported to the police.

I've recorded everything that you said.

It turns out to be the brothers turned against each other...

is a plan.

What a good plan.

Gu Yuan Zhou,

how did my dad die then?

Since both of you are so smart,

why not you investigate it by yourself?

The police are already on the way.

The truth will be revealed sooner or later.

Both of you are really naive.

Give me the recording you made just now.

Let me go.

Maybe I can spare Fang Yan's life.

Fang Yan?

What did you do to Fang Yan?

[Shi Meng]

Fang Yan forgot to bring her phone.

[Shi Meng]

Shi Meng?

Hello, Shi Meng.

Zuo Yao?

Where is Fang Yan?

Isn't she going out to look for you?

[She said you dated her to the old dating place of both of you.]

Didn't you present her the flowers and the card?

Hello...

Gu Yuan Zhou,

where did you hide Fang Yan?

Tell me!

I'll spare her life if you give me the recording.

Give it to him.

Give it to him!

Quickly tell us.

Fang Yan...

Quickly tell us.

Where is Fang Yan?

Don't move.

Gu Yuan Zhou,

where is Fang Yan?

Where is she now?

It's too late.
