Nominated for the Drama of the Year Award,

"Kkondae Intern".

How dare an intern speak as if he knows something?

Lee Man Sic, the worst kkondae...

meets Ga Yeol Chan, the new intern.

And he was my torturer.

- Hello? - Since you're not here,

your seniors are getting chewed out instead.

Again. Again. Again. Again.

From the moment he comes to work until he leaves,

he's belittled all day.

Hey, Yeol Chan.

- Yes? - I have a job for you.

The job he's given is to do his son's homework?

How dare you even show up here?

He's even insulted and mocked.

Who called you?

Get him out of here!

Who on earth hired him?

You jerk.

Why do this to me?

Why are you doing this to me?

Yeol Chan's unable to survive Man Sic's bullying,

and quits his job.

Five years later.

The winner is Joonsoo Food's Mr. Ga Yeol Chan.

Yeol Chan develops a hit product that changes the ramyeon industry,

and rises to head of department.

It's 6 p.m. already.

Why are you still here? Go home.

Where did we find someone like him?

He's quite good.

Yeol Chan earns the respect of his superiors and staff,

and enjoys a life of luxury.

If you fire me now, what am I to do at my age?

Meanwhile, kkondae Man Sic is let go.

(His career's over.)

What are you doing here?

As of today, I am...

your new senior intern Lee Man Sic.

Lee Man Sic is Ga Yeol Chan's new intern?

Behind this was a deal with the CEO.

Work on Mr. Ga for me.

Promotion is coming up.

Make sure he doesn't threaten me.

(Concerned)

And so the superior and subordinate swap places.

What shall I do?

Don't do anything.

Man Sic's upset.

I listed up the pros and cons...

of our products.

Why would anyone read this trash?

Man Sic's upset.

Mr. Ga. I am sorry.

Man Sic's on his knees.

But their team soon faces a crisis.

The video of an old man fainting while eating...

their hit product goes viral.

But when Man Sic pays a visit,

the old man runs away at the speed of light.

Sir. Wait!

- Sir. - It's tasty.

What?

It's so good I could faint.

Park Mak Doong.

Yeol Chan and Man Sic turn a crisis into an opportunity.

The two kkondaes help each other through their hardships...

and truly learn to understand each other.

Please don't die like this.

Yesterday's enemies became today's friends,

and they protect each other.

If you so much as touch a hair on Yeol Chan's head,

- I will make you pay. - Yeol Chan. I will protect you.

Eventually, the two become best friends.

You need to keep things under a certain level.

You didn't listen to others and made it spicier and spicier.

Goodness, you kkondae.

You kkondae.

Kkondae? I'm not a kkondae.

"Kkondae Intern", a comedy where the boss becomes the bossed.

(Kkondae Intern)

pay off eventually and will they win the Drama of the Year?

Please stay tuned to find out.

Everyone's health comes first at this year's drama awards,

so before we started the broadcast, we sanitized the whole hall.

We're currently broadcasting without an audience.

Also, after Part 1, we ventilated the indoor area,

disinfected the microphones and seating area,

and made sure to sanitize everything.

We will do our best to broadcast Part 2 as safely as possible.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards is live via Japan's KNTV...

as well as South East Asia's Oh!K.

Korean drama stars, especially those in MBC's dramas...

who gained much love overseas,

will be joined by fans from Asia as well as all over the world.

They'll be watching right now,

and I believe they're all rooting for you.

It's time to present the first award of Part 2.

The first award goes to an actor our viewers believe in...

enough to trust their work and it's the Golden Acting Award.

Presenting the award is the winner of last year's Top Excellence Award,

an actress who the word "golden" suits better than anyone.

It's actress Yeh Ji Won.

Please give her a warm welcome.

Hello, I'm Yeh Ji Won.

(Yeh Ji Won)

Thank you for calling me "golden".

Whenever I come on this stage,

I have high expectations and I get excited.

But I also feel nervous and overwhelmed.

In particular, I'm really happy...

that I get to close out this year...

with the Golden Acting Award for the 2020 MBC Drama Awards.

The Golden Acting Award.

Just as that name implies, this award is valuable,

unchanging, and precious.

Who will be the recipient of this honor? I look forward to it.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards Golden Acting Award.

We'll reveal it on screen.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards Golden Acting Award.

Just tell me I grew up well on my own,

and praise me a little and give me a hug.

I think that's all I need.

(Golden Acting Award, "My Wonderful Life", Sim Yi Young)

(Golden Acting Award)

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards Golden Acting Award goes to...

Sim Yi Young in "My Wonderful Life".

Congratulations.

Congratulations, Sim Yi Young.

Actress Sim Yi Young is the queen of daily dramas.

For seven months, we saw her each evening in "My Wonderful Life,"

She played the tough Park Bok Hee, going through life's vicissitudes.

Please tell us how you feel about winning this award.

Yes.

(Golden Acting Award, Sim Yi Young)

First of all,

right now, the entire world...

is facing the same hardships and going through the same thing.

Even when we were filming,

we wondered every day if we'd be able to film tomorrow.

We were worried throughout the course of our shoot.

But being able to finish shooting the whole series,

and receiving this award at the same time...

feels like a miracle to me.

To the person who worked hardest behind the scenes for the drama,

writer Seo Jung,

and to Director Kim Yong Min, who supported the cast and crew,

leading us through this drama,

and to the director of photography, whom I like very much,

and to all the staff who worked hard on set.

Also to Lee Jung Gil, who acted fiercely along with me,

Kim Yeong Ran, Oh Mi Yeon, Yang Hae Jin,

and to my partner, Sung Jae, and to Ki Jun, Ye Sol,

and to the actors who played my children,

Seung Hoon, Ji Min, Min Seo.

And to...

So Young, Ji Ae, Yoo Ha, and to all the other actors.

I'm standing here now because of their efforts.

Thank you so much.

And to those who backed and supported,

and cheered for "My Wonderful Life" from behind the scenes,

I'm so grateful to Senior Director Jang and CP Lee.

With each year that goes by,

as I keep working,

the number of people I'm grateful to keeps growing.

I'm so grateful to my family,

and to my kids,

who are big enough to cheer for me now,

and...

for my husband, who works day and night to care for us,

thank you so much. I'm always grateful to you.

As grateful as I am,

I love my family as much as I'm indebted to them.

In the new year,

I hope we can face a new day with hope rather than despair,

with our hearts overflowing.

Thank you so much.

Congratulations.

Sim Yi Young won the Golden Acting Award.

We offer our sincere congratulations on that.

The MBC daily dramas are steeped in history and tradition.

As they took over our living room theatres again,

they received a lot of love.

We look forward to the daily joys that they'll continue to bring.

Moving on,

we have a key highlight of this year's Drama Awards,

the Drama of the Year Award. Here are our final nominees.

Nominee for the Drama of the Year,

"365: Repeat The Year".

I'll give you a chance

to travel back in time with me.

A mysterious phone call to 11 people.

You will be sending...

only your memories to your old selves.

They "reset" and go back a year to the past to change it.

Once they return to the past,

they return to a time before dead colleagues were killed,

to before their legs were paralyzed.

Their fates change in a single instant.

If they're able to stay alive, that is.

Mr. Park Young Gil who couldn't make it here today...

is dead.

The resetter's death was a coincidence.

The delivery man's death was a teaser.

The real game begins now.

We've been invited to play the Death Note Game.

I'm telling you, again...

If you avoid the death destined for yourself,

someone else will die in your place.

The criminal mastermind behind all this was another resetter.

Don't trust that woman, Lee Shin, too much.

That woman came to me and brought us together. Got it?

A criminal plan impossible to predict.

Deaths whose purpose cannot be fathomed.

The next turn...

is yours.

Playing with people as though she knows the future,

death finds the resetters inexorably and without discrimination.

I found this footprint at Bae Jung Tae's house.

I clearly saw you jumping over that wall.

Also, I'm sending in another footprint.

Please analyze this as well.

I didn't kill him. Someone else killed him.

The only resetter to have seen the criminal.

Finally, the moment the criminal is revealed.

That means you know who the culprit is.

I saw the criminal with my own eyes.

The sole witness was killed.

Who is the real criminal, who has deceived everyone?

Aren't these items familiar?

It's the very person that Ji Hyeong Ju reset to save,

detective Park Sun Ho.

I don't have a reason.

It just started one day.

Now that the resetters have learned everything,

it's time for them to bring this to an end.

You won't be able to kill Hyeong Ju.

I can't kill?

As long as I put my mind to it, I can kill anyone.

Ga Hyeon, Ga Hyeon.

Ga Hyeon sacrificed herself for someone precious to her.

And Ji Hyeong Ju resets again,

to help someone precious to him.

Park Sun Ho.

Ji Hyeong Ju puts everything back the way it was...

in the world he returns to.

It's all over now.

I don't think I have a friend like you.

A friend who's willing to travel back in time to save me.

I can at least make one friend who would before I die, right?

Aren't you Detective Ji Hyeong Ju?

This was "365: Repeat the Year".

Now we've revealed all the nominees for the Drama of the Year.

"Kairos", "Find Me in Your Memory", "Kkondae Intern",

and "365: Repeat the Year".

the winner is...

No, I won't reveal it just yet. Someone will present it soon.

Everyone got just a bit nervous.

I'm such a homebody,

it's been a while since I left home to go anywhere except the set.

Now that I've wound up winning this award,

I'm not sure what to say.

I'm very nervous.

First of all,

I wasn't able to greet everyone one by one,

but it was an honor to work with everyone who toiled on set.

My colleagues here, including senior colleagues.

Seong Ju, I feel very honored to be here.

("We make tomorrow's destiny today." Lee Jun Hyuk.)

And to all the viewers...

who supported "365: Repeat the Year,"

it was only because of your support...

And to Director Kim Kyung Hee,

Director of Photography Hwang Seung Man, and all the staff,

to Yang Dong Geun, whom I respect, Sung Wook,

and to all my colleagues,

it was enjoyable being around all of you,

and I hope to work with you again in the future.

To CEO Lee Sung Jin, who's like family to me,

Director Min Hyun Il,

and to Vice President Lim, Vice President Cheon,

Jong Won, Eun Won,

and to everyone at ACE FACTORY,

thank you all so much,

and I hope to continue working with you in the future.

Finally,

I'd like to convey my sincere thanks to all the viewers...

who allowed me to stand here and express my thoughts.

Happy New Year, and thank you.

To give me...

such a great award in 2020 is something I'm very grateful for.

Director Park Seung Woo, Writer Lee Su Hyeon,

thank you so much for the opportunity to be in "Kairos,"

I don't know how to repay you.

since my mother died.

Yoon Jong Hun, in "Find Me in Your Memory".

The reason...

was simply this book?

If you can't stop yourself, Father, I'll stop you.

Ha Seok Jin, in "When I was the Most Beautiful".

I can't even hold on to you and tell you not to leave.

You're even more pitiable...

(Ha Seok Jin, "When I was the Most Beautiful".)

Those were the actors who have shown us...

Let's listen to his speech.

My name is actually written here.

It's been about 17, 18 years since I made my debut.

This is my first acting award.

I really appreciate it.

First of all, I'd like to say thank you...

to my beloved family.

My high school friends, the agency's workers,

my manager, Hak Jong, who comes with me to filming locations,

and my stylist, Young Hwa. Thank you all.

And I... There were two dramas.

The staff members who have worked on "The Game: Towards Zero",

the director, the writers, and all the actors.

The staff members of "The Spy Who Loved Me",

the director, the writers, and the actors, thank you.

This is my first time giving an award acceptance speech.

I've only gotten awards that were given to 10, 20 people.

So it'll take a while as I had all those years before me.

Also...

You want me to speed it up?

Also,

to Cha Tae Hyun, Zo In Sung, and Kim Ki Bang...

who have always shown me the right path,

to Lee Kwang Soo, Kim Woo Bin, and Doh Kyung Soo...

Hello, I'm Actress Han Ji Min.

(Han Ji Min and Jung Hae In)

Hello, I'm Actor Jung Hae In.

Ji Min, it's been a long time since we've seen each other.

Yes, it's been a while.

I feel like I should call you, "Jeong In".

Oh, Ji Ho.

Yes.

What are you going to tell me?

I'm not really here to tell you something.

Then what?

I'm here to give out awards.

Okay.

We just recalled the memories of "One Spring Night"...

from last year.

Ji Min replied to my lines with such quick wits.

Thank you very much.

You're welcome. I was glad and thrilled to meet...

Ji Ho as Jeong In after such a long time.

Thank you.

That was my first time acting with a mask on...

at an awards ceremony, not on a filming site.

I really wish the day we can all take off our masks will come soon.

I heard a familiar voice in the opening video,

so I listened carefully, and it was your voice.

Thank you for noticing that.

Your warm voice...

made me feel very touched.

Everyone has been having such hard times,

we wish all of you could cheer up.

Shall we begin presenting the awards?

Yes.

The nominees of the Top Excellence Award...

of Monday-Tuesday Miniseries and Short Drama Category...

for actors will be shown on the screen.

Top Excellence Award...

of Monday-Tuesday Miniseries and Short Drama Category for actors.

"She Knows Everything", Jo Han Sun.

After you finish your time in prison, you can pay...

for my youth that I've wasted looking after you!

How will you pay it back?

"Kairos", Shin Sung Rok.

No. It wasn't you, Da Bin.

It'll be all right.

"Dinner Mate", Song Seung Heon.

Will you have dinner with me?

After what you did to me before leaving me,

you cannot do this.

Yes, those are the actors that have taken over the televisions...

with acting skills that draw people in.

Who will have won the award?

Please announce the winner.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards, the Top Excellence Award...

of Monday-Tuesday Miniseries Short Drama Category for actors...

goes to...

Shin Sung Rok of "Kairos". Congratulations.

Congratulations, Shin Sung Rok.

Shin Sung Rok becomes one with the character in every drama,

and he had pulled off the role of Kim Seo Jin...

who struggles to change the future in "Kairos".

With ever-changing images,

we were able to see his class this year.

Thank you.

(Top Excellence Award, Shin Sung Rok)

"Kairos" was...

a huge challenge for me.

In fact,

I was very afraid to go to the filming site.

It was quite the pressure.

The role I played was greater than what I was able to portray.

It was such an incredible and brilliant character.

So I...

was under great pressure and afraid I might not pull it off.

I had a strong desire to do better...

than the best I could do.

So I pushed myself really hard...

while shooting the drama.

However,

I don't believe that my determination was...

the only thing that helped me get a satisfying result.

You see, I met Director Park Seung Woo.

Here's the thing about him.

Since I've been acting for quite a long time,

I can predict how some of the scenes will be visualized...

or what the directors would want to some extent.

But he's one peculiar man.

He always surprised me with his unexpected storyboards.

And that...

motivated me greatly.

He made me realize that I was working on something...

that no one had tried before then.

Also, I had forgotten how fun it is to shoot a drama for a while,

and he made me realize it once again as a director.

I'm personally most grateful to him. Thank you.

Also, Writer Lee Su Hyeon, your words...

made me want to play that character desperately.

That's how great the character was and how meticulously written...

the script was.

I'd like to say again that I'm honored to have played the role.

I also want to thank Kim Hwa Yeong, the director of photography,

Lighting Director Hwang Myeong Ho...

who made me shine more brightly with his amazing work,

and Manager Kim Ho Jun.

All the staff members including them,

thank you all for your hard work for those six months.

And all the cast members who became like my family, thank you.

Although she's not here, I'd like to give special thanks...

to Actress Lee Se Young who played the female lead.

She was the female lead, but until halfway through the drama,

we only talked over the phone, so I barely met her.

I'd like to thank her for her hard work,

and tell her that I relied a lot on her while shooting the drama.

I'd also like to thank Shin Gu. Even in the cold weather,

even though it must've been hard to endure it around his age,

he looked me in the eyes to the last moment,

giving me so much energy. I believe...

that made it possible for me to receive such a great award.

Mr. Shin, I sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you, Shin Sung Rok.

- Congratulations. - I should finish quickly, right?

- You may continue. - Anyway, that's what I had to say.

I'd like to thank CEO Moon Bo Mi of HB Entertainment...

and Director Park Hyeong Jun.

I also want to thank Park Jeong Hui, Park Hui Jin,

Yang Hye Ju, Im Jin, and Kim Ga Hyeon whom I work with.

Thank you all.

Lastly, I'd like to show my gratitude to my family.

I'd like to thank my parents and my parents-in-law.

My daughter Yu Ri, thank you.

And last but not least, my loving wife Seo Yeong, thank you.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

Congratulations, Shin Sung Rok.

I can see that the "Kairos" team has great teamwork.

Congratulations on winning the Top Excellence Award.

Please continue to present the award.

Moving on, we'll announce the female nominees...

for the Top Excellence Award of Monday-Tuesday Miniseries...

Short Drama Category for actresses.

Let's meet them on the screen.

The Top Excellence Award...

of Monday-Tuesday Miniseries Short Drama Category for actresses.

Seo Ji Hye from "Dinner Mate".

Have you lost your mind?

How could you do this to me?

Answer me! How could you do this to me?

Oh Na Ra from "CHIP-IN".

I'm sure it wasn't because of the sleeping pills I gave him.

No way.

You murdered the writer,

and framed Bit Na, didn't you?

Kang Sung Yeon from "She Knows Everything".

You should make sure if it's safe before you take a step into it.

That's the responsibility you should take for your life,

and courtesy toward the people who love you.

Nam Ji Hyun from "365: Repeat the Year".

So please stop it, you all.

I'm Maru, the writer of "Hidden Killer".

Lee Se Young from "Kairos".

Are you really from the future?

Please help me...

All the nominees are such great actresses, right?

Yes. I can't wait to find out who will receive the award.

Then Hae In, please announce the winner now.

Okay. I'll announce the winner.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards, the Top Excellence Award...

The winner is...

Nam Ji Hyun from "365: Repeat the Year". Congratulations.

Congratulations.

Actress Nam Ji Hyun, the undisputed queen of high ratings,

played Shin Ga Hyeon in "365: Repeat the Year"...

after two years of break.

She proved her worth with her amazing performance.

Hello. I'm Nam Ji Hyun.

(Top Excellence Award, Nam Ji Hyun)

First of all, thank you very much.

Whenever I receive a great award, I feel forever grateful,

but at the same time, I feel undeserving of the award...

and feel under a lot of pressure as well.

But if there's one thing that comforts me greatly,

it's that I feel like the award is a reward for the effort...

made by all the staff members who worked hard on set...

and all the other actors and actresses I worked with.

That's what makes me very happy.

There are so many people I'd like to thank, but first,

I'd like to give a big thanks to Director Kim Kyung Hee,

the forever captain of the "365: Repeat the Year" team...

whom we could always rely on.

I also want to thank Writers Lee Su Gyeong and Lee Seo Yun...

for writing such an interesting story...

from the start to the end.

Also, I'd like to thank Actor Lee Jun Hyuk...

who is here right now,

and my senior actors Lee Sung Wook and Yang Dong Geun.

And I really want to thank Actress Kim Ji Soo...

who helped her junior actors and actresses a lot on set...

and asked how we had been whenever she saw us.

And the 10 resetters, thank you very much.

Also, I thank the team I work with who go to the sets with me...

including Ju Hyeon and Sang Wu,

and those who have been like my own sisters,

Hye Ji, Go Eun, Bo Gyeong, and Yeong Seo.

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

This year, I got to play in this drama...

that gave me a chance to think...

about the meaning of life.

And I think I got lucky when it comes to the time.

Next year, I will be back as a new character...

through a drama that will bring you...

great joy and happiness.

- Happy New Year. Thank you. - Thank you.

Congratulations on winning the Top Excellence Award...

The Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category for actors.

Kim Eung Soo from "Kkondae Intern".

I'm Lee Man Sic.

Those young punks.

I'm going to destroy them.

Eric Mun from "The Spy Who Loved Me".

I'm Manager Jeon Ji Hun of Asia 2nd Bureau.

I'd wander around the streets forever for this moment.

Kim Dong Wook from "Find Me in Your Memory".

You should've told me at least before things got this messy!

I won't say goodbye anymore.

I want to be with you now.

Park Hae Jin from "Kkondae Intern".

Please don't die. Don't you die on me.

Shake it for about 15 seconds.

Ji Soo from "When I was the Most Beautiful".

Never hold anyone else's hand or sit with anyone else!

I want to do that.

The thing that will ruin my life.

Ok Taec Yeon from "The Game: Towards Zero".

Where is Jun Yeong?

Where is Seo Joon Young?

It reminds me of last year when Hae In and I won...

the Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category.

It also reminds me of old memories of...

presenting the award that I've won.

I will now announce the winner.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards, the Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category for actors...

goes to...

Kim Eung Soo of "Kkondae Intern". Congratulations.

Kim Eung Soo, congratulations.

Kim Eung Soo's second heyday...

has begun with his catchphrase, "Let's go double."

He played the role of Lee Man Sic on "Kkondae Intern"...

who turned from a condescending superior to a senior intern.

People have said that he created his once-in-a-lifetime character.

Thank you,

MBC.

(Top Excellence Award, Kim Eung Soo)

MBC is the best.

Yes.

The hottest topics of Korea,

the words "kkondae"...

and "power trip".

The drama department of MBC has done a great job of covering those.

Shin So Ra the writer that wrote the scenario in the funniest way,

Nam Seong Woo the genius director,

thank you all.

From February to July while we filmed "Kkondae Intern",

we didn't have a single issue on our filming site.

The only issue we had was...

the sudden spread of COVID-19.

In the COVID-19 pandemic situation, many are suffering.

The medical teams are struggling on the site...

while battling the coronavirus disease.

The driving forces of this world that are working...

very hard at each workplace in real life...

just like Lee Man Sic in "Kkondae Intern".

I wanted to show that I support all of you...

by playing the role of Lee Man Sic and bringing you laughter.

It wasn't just because of me...

that I got to stand here.

My mother who has been praying for me her whole life,

I pray that you live long healthily.

And there's another mother.

My wife, Kim Han Young.

And my two daughters, Eun Ah and Eun Seo,

who always give me strength, I love you.

The true winner of this Top Excellence Award...

wasn't Lee Man Sic in "Kkondae Intern".

They were the younger staff members of "Kkondae Intern".

Hyun Hee, Han Sol, Na Yeon, and Ji Eun.

Our camera director Kim Jung Jin, the lighting director Son Yeon Hee,

and all the other members.

The leading role of "Kkondae Intern" isn't "kkondae".

It's the younger generation.

The younger members of "Kkondae Intern",

this award is all thanks to you.

Thank you. Happy New Year.

Yes, that was a speech from Kim Eung Soo.

It sounded like a department head giving a lecture.

All actors and actresses have stood up to congratulate him.

Congratulations once again.

Congratulations, Kim Eung Soo.

Next, the nominees for the Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category for actresses...

will be shown on the screen.

The Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category for actresses.

"Find Me in Your Memory", Mun Ka Young.

It's about time you used the non-honorific.

How long do I have to call you, "Anchor Lee"?

Drop the honorific or go home.

"The Game: Towards Zero", Lee Yeon Hee.

It's done.

What do you think?

"When I was the Most Beautiful", Im Soo Hyang.

I love Hwan.

I love you, I love my father, and I love all my family!

"The Spy Who Loved Me", Yoo In Na.

This must be my last chance, right?

To see if you're truly on my side or not.

The nominees have all shown unique charms in various genres.

Who do you think will win?

This is the toughest type of question.

They have all shown different charms...

in their distinctive ways,

so I'm also wondering.

Please announce the winner, Hae In.

The 2020 MBC Drama Awards,

the Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category for actresses.

The winner is...

Im Soo Hyang of "When I was the Most Beautiful". Congratulations.

Congratulations, Im Soo Hyang.

With her beautiful looks and solid acting skills,

she has captivated the viewers watching the drama.

On "When I was the Most Beautiful",

she played Oh Ye Ji who was heartbreakingly in love.

Both in intense acting and soft acting,

she has become the irreplaceable actress in the genre of melodrama.

This makes me really nervous.

(Top Excellence Award, Im Soo Hyang)

First of all,

I was very fortunate to get the chance to play the role of Oh Ye Ji.

There were many emotional scenes on the site,

and director Oh Gyung Hun, director Song Yeon Hwa,

and the writer were always there to cry with me during the scene.

I can't think because I'm so nervous.

What do I do?

Thank you all very much.

And to Seok Jin who's here, you were the best partner.

Ji Soo sadly couldn't join us as he's on a shoot.

All the other actors,

the cameramen, lighting director, and the staff members,

I thank all of you.

There are...

so many people to thank,

I'll mention some of their names.

During the COVID-19 pandemic,

the staff members who have always worked with me with smiles,

the workers at my agency, my stylist,

Bo Kyung, Eun Ji, Min Hyeong, Seo Rin,

and my FN Entertainment families,

thank you all so much.

While shooting "When I was the Most Beautiful",

the question I got the most was,

"When do you think you were the most beautiful?"

People have asked me this question the most.

I've thought about it while filming this drama,

and I don't think it's me in the past or me in the future.

I think it's me in the present who's the most beautiful.

I'll keep loving myself in the present...

and strive to become a better actress.

My family, my friends, Eun Young,

and Mr. Ahn Young Ho, thank you very much and I love you.

Thank you. Happy New Year!

Yes. The Top Excellence Award...

of Wednesday-Thursday Miniseries Category...

was awarded to Im Soo Hyang and Kim Eung Soo.

Congratulations once again.

All right. It's the 2020 MBC Drama Awards.

Earlier, I've announced the four nominated dramas...

for the Drama of the Year Award.

It's time to announce the winner of the Drama of the Year Award.

Which drama was the drama of your year?

Which drama would you want to win this award?

All four dramas are equally good...

in terms of the storyline, production,

and the acting skills of the cast.

Which TV drama will win the Drama of the Year Award?

Last year's Excellence Award winner,

Ryu Su Young, will present the award.

Please give a big hand!

Hello, everyone. I'm Actor Ryu Su Young.

Watching the awards ceremony this year...

including the partitions between the actors...

and the award winners receiving the awards themselves,

it reminds me once again of what changed in our lives.

No one has ever experienced such a thing including me.

Considering we worked together to create this in these hard times,

I think this year's Drama of the Year Award...

will be more meaningful than ever.

However,

many people are staying home much longer than ever,

so there's more significance and importance put on dramas.

We're now watching TV more than ever.

I believe everyone who kept creating dramas in front...

and behind cameras deserves to win the Drama of the Year Award.

But we only have one trophy.

I wonder which 1 of the 4 dramas that were nominated will win.

Let me announce the winner now.

2020 MBC Drama Awards,

the Drama of the Year Award goes to...

2020 MBC Drama...

2020 MBC Drama Awards,

the Drama of the Year Award goes to...

"Kkondae Intern." Congratulations.

"Kkondae Intern" was a comical drama set in an office,

a story of a boss who suddenly became an intern.

It depicted the tough everyday life...

of office workers in realistic ways,

helping viewers of all generations connect with the drama.

It received the highest rating among the dramas in the same slot,

becoming the top drama of Wednesday-Thursday dramas.

The award will be accepted...

by the chief director, Hong Seok Woo.

(Drama of the Year Award: "Kkondae Intern")

Hello, I'm Director Hong Seok Woo with MBC.

Thank you very much for giving us this big award.

Please stand a little closer.

Thank you, Director Nam Seong Woo, Writer Shin So Ra,

the directors, Jeong Gu Young, Yoon Hong Mi,

Kim Ji Ha, and Moon Joo Hee,

the actors, Park Hae Jin, Kim Eung Soo, Han Ji Eun,

Park Ki Woong, Park Ah In,

No Jong Hyun, and Kim Sun Young,

and many crew members and actors who took part in this drama.

Thank you for your wonderful work in this COVID-19 outbreak.

I truly thank you.

"Kkondae Intern" is the winner...

of the Best Script Award in the 2018 Script Contest.

("Kkondae Intern")

It begins with an idea that everyone has had.

"What if the worst boss you had..."

"comes back to work for you as your subordinate?"

"Then what will happen?"

The writer unfolded this story anyone can connect with...

by using her wonderful imagination in this drama.

To the older generation that is about to retire,

I'm sure the drama brought back memories of your early days.

And to those who are in their 30s and 40s,

stuck between kids born in the 90s and the older generation,

we wanted you to help you connect with us as the middle manager.

I believe many viewers have caught that.

I believe "Kkondae Intern" showed...

the power of a new story and a new idea.

We'll continue to work hard to create...

new stories and new dramas.

Thank you.

Yes, congratulations.

"Kkondae Intern" was chosen as the best drama...

among all dramas that were aired on MBC in 2020.

Congratulations.

Everyone, we only have one last award to go.

It's the best moment of an awards show,

the boss stage, the highlight of an awards show.

It's time to present the Grand Award.

Who will take the honor of winning the Grand Award today?

We have these amazing nominees...

sitting in this hall in Sangam-dong.

I wonder who'll take the honor of the Grand Award.

The camera is showing many actors on the screen right now.

The winner will be one of these many actors.

The presenter of the Grand Award is the winner of last year.

Kim Dong Wook is here to present the award.

(2020 MBC Drama Awards)

(2020 MBC Drama Awards)

Hello, I'm Kim Dong Wook.

(Kim Dong Wook)

It must've been exactly a year ago today.

I remember taking the honor of the Top Excellence Award...

and the Grand Award last year.

I'm even more nervous today than when I won the award last year.

I think it's much better to be here to win an award.

The year 2020 has been quite an eventful year.

But what didn't change was the love and support...

our viewers have shown for MBC dramas.

We ask you to keep showing us more love and support in 2021.

And now, it's time to announce the winner of the Grand Award.

(Grand Award)

I'm getting nervous.

2020 MBC Drama Awards, Grand Award.

The winner of the Grand Award.

The winner is...

Who'll be this year's winner?

Who'll take the honor?

Please announce the winner.

Congratulations.

Park Hae Jin of "Kkondae Intern."

Congratulations, Park Hae Jin.

2020 MBC Drama Awards, Grand Award, the winner is...

Park Hae Jin.

He played Ga Yeol Chan in "Kkondae Intern,"

a young and mean boss whom you just can't hate.

The drama received the highest ratings and popularity,

and it now made history as the winner of the Grand Award.

Let's hear the acceptance speech from Park Hae Jin.

(2020 MBC Drama Awards)

Please take a seat.

(Grand Award: Park Hae Jin)

Thank you.

I'm not really sure if I'm worthy of this award.

It's the Grand Award.

I can feel the weight on my shoulders.

After I won the Best Rookie Award at MBC back in 2008,

I got to do another drama with MBC for the 1st time in 12 years.

And you also gave me such a huge award. Thank you.

My beloved family, I always thank you.

So Yul, Ju Han, I won an award.

Ji Wol, happy birthday.

My grandma, who's in the hospital with no visitors allowed,

I hope I could see you again in great health.

CEO Hwang Ji Sun of Mountain Movement and everyone else,

Vice President Nam Kyung Ho, Director Ko Yu Jeong,

Director Seo Ju Seok, Su A, and Jin Hyuk,

thank you for everything and great job this year.

I'm a type who gets shy very easily,

so I've never listed people's names and thanked them on stage.

But thank you, everyone on my stylist team.

Everyone at INTREND, Jeong Yun Gi, Director Kwon Hyuk,

and Seung Ri. Thank you so much.

Director Gong Tan of VOID H and all the hairstyling staff,

thank you very much.

And everyone at Voho System who's always there to protect me.

This was a very happy drama for me.

Whenever I work, I think about how tough everything is,

I wondered if I can finish shooting the drama quickly and effectively,

and I also thought about what I can do...

to make the process easier, like a cheap fellow.

But I always looked forward to the shooting of "Kkondae Intern".

It was that heartwarming, and I was very thankful.

Writer Shin So Ra, thank you for your great scripts.

Director Nam Seong Woo, thank you for creating a great environment.

And my colleagues, Ki Woong, Ji Eun,

Sun Young, Eun Soo, Jong Hyun,

and my seniors and juniors who aren't here today.

I thank all the production crew who worked hard on the set,

the youngest ones, Hyun Hee, Han Sol, and Hyun Jin.

I wouldn't be standing here today without them.

Thank you very much.

I'm not sure if I could win this award again in my life.

This is an award that I may never get to win again.

But if I could exchange this with a wish,

then I'd like to exchange this with our precious everyday life.

Everyone is having a tough time with the COVID-19 outbreak.

But we're gathered here...

and celebrating together like this, but we're also troubled.

I hope you could all stay strong.

Lastly,

thank you always, for everything.

My forever senior intern, Mr. Lee Man Sic.

I'd like to dedicate this award to Eung Soo.

Thank you.

Park Hae Jin of "Kkondae Intern"...

takes the Grand Award. Congratulations.

Goodness, if this was last year,

I'd stick right next to him and ask all kinds of questions,

trying to get him to give a longer speech.

But it's a shame that we are unable to do that his year.

Next year, I hope things will return to the way it was before...

when we were able to communicate more intimately.

The actors here may have won an award or may have not,

but I'd like to thank you all for your hard work this year.

It's still hard to predict...

how much longer this troubling time will last,

but no matter how tiring and troublesome this is,

I hope actors and production crew can continue to work harder...

to comfort our viewers and bring joy to them in 2021.

Also, I'd like to ask the viewers to continue to show...

their love and support for MBC dramas next year.

That's all for the 2020 MBC Drama Awards.

Thank you for watching, and Happy New Year.
