to the rescue vehicle

I have no idea there's something out there

so far I'll say oh here they are

do you remember my daughter Sui in our

chief marine biologist hung the house in

gin down now how the holy hot wire sorry

what was that

I didn't catch it

she says she likes your hat oh yeah yeah

let's go why don't we go yeah

granddaughters a pistol okay what have

we here this is really ugly you know I

realize that were under construction and

everything but I really think that a

world class Research Institute deserves

a world-class entrance yeah I couldn't

agree more

welcome to the old level

nice this is our central hub from which

researchers will access all five labs

once it's finished

Wow

that's not something you see every day

could you have those whales here on cue

I might have lured them with some whale

songs this is Lucy and her daughter

crazy follow me quickly one time come on

in

I'd like you to meet our engineering sub

designer Jax hello dr. Heller Oh medical

officer nice to meet you

you like bones huh DJ here pilots are

remote Explorer that's gone my first

billionaire and of course Mac our

station chief mr. Morris just in time so

I keep hearing that just in time for

what Lori Taylor I'm mission pilot

welcome onboard it's good to have you

how's it going down there

where'd you learn how to pilot a sub

will saving environmental group that

shall remain unnamed foreign legal

reasons ask her if she ever blew up a

whaling ship with a homemade torpedo no

that's a good hire six degrees that

we're through the thermocline we are

approaching 11,000 metres 100 metres

from the bottom maybe what does he mean

maybe come on look at this since 1875

we've all believed the Mariana Trench

was the deepest place on earth I've

heard of the theory that what we think

it's the bottom I'd actually be a layer

of hydrogen sulfide beneath at cloud and

the freezing cold thermocline it could

be a completely new world the origin is

about to see if my father's right

if there's one water below that means

we're going to be the first to see it

and what if you're wrong

then you have wizard 1.3 billion dollars

you're kidding

he's kidding right

copy that wait 10 meters approaching

boundary hovering at 5 meters will stop

thanks Jackson

good to go doc who are go DJ sober over

Argo originally we are go for insertion

insertion everything sexual with you

guys six food power and money now we are

a go for insertion you guys were in it's

a cloud it is not the bottom lorry

be careful we don't know the dibs on the

other side of this and the seats look a

couple right up on you

copy that Mac we're ready

guys we are through deploying the lights

mines deployed around

Mack Tommy you're getting this we're

getting all of our Laurie that a lot of

smiling faces up here GJ we got positive

terrain slash the Roma copy

launch is all yours Rover is free copy

this ecosystem is completely cut off

from the rest of the ocean but the

freezing Haute thermocline we should

find all sorts of species completely

unknown to science sounds like a good

investment Laurie I have a contact

bearing zero eight to zero this big huge

and it's moving fast DJ's are

opportunist negative we try and bring

out some more lights

I just lost telemetry the help orogenic

made an immediate right

that's how I check landslides don't make

negative returns Laurie what's going on

down there you guys what could do that

do the rover

are you coming origin can you hear me

Arjun please respond lorry coming wall

can you hear me

Toshi gather on people options Mach rate

there live

I've still got to limit Rhian their

vitals how long did they have maybe 18

hours ballast valves are jammed which

means a cam rise by itself if we attempt

to tow it it's 50/50 that the tanks will

explode and bridge the capsule come we

go hatch the hatch not a chance

external cameras showing severe hatch

damage we have to twice something

there's six miles down and no one has

ever attempted a rescue at that depth no

that's not exactly true

no no way we can handle this

not 11,000 meters to count we've gone

5,000 meters 8,000 meters at some point

it just becomes a number why don't you

try this number three that's how many

people have actually attempted a rescue

below 10,000 meals and the number one

that's how many left alive to talk about

it one man Jonas Taylor and look what

happened to that one man the last time

he went to these deaths aids 11 people

including you hella that's when I

learned how friends could die because he

had pressure induced psychosis come on

hella that was your diagnosis Jonas said

something attacked him something big

enough to take out a nuclear submarine a

drug we all heard Lori's last

transmission we have to consider that

origin may have encountered something

similar to what Jonas Taylor described

something he was able to escape from ah

please probe the helicopter we must go

to Thailand

you're bored she's killing me number one

engine slips out of here and there's

some leak in the hydraulics

I'll take a look at it tonight that's

what you say last night and the night

before that and the night before that

I'm working up to you drink too much and

now you're only saying that because I

literally never beer in my hand you

always happy in your hand you know why

because right too much

now this is shaping up to be an eventful

Tuesday you know I'd like to make an

entrance

I'll make up the five years just showing

up is making an entrance don't you

living above a bar really it was the

only way to get you to come visit -

allow me to introduce I don't know to

meet you dr. Jeong

I always had a tremendous respect for

your work you're too kind and mr. Taylor

yeah

you're a good man I cannot approve of

you two up there so I'm gonna have a

beer it's not a social call Jonas you

mean you didn't helicopter injustice oh

no you won't make we have a serious

problem

thought so just like you know I don't

dime anymore

don't be responsible for this one Taylor

I am mean no offense doctors young I

mean if there was two people on this

planet that could get me back into the

water it's probably you too but you

can't you gonna tell me a problem no no

say no you can offer me money I'll still

say no you got to appeal to my better

nature and I'm gonna say no because I've

done a bunch so I say why don't we sit

down we'll enjoy a couple of beers I

know we can give you on your way join us

this happened this morning

it's lorry Eurex wife and her crew are

trapped below 11,000 meters

I fear the may having held her the same

species you did down there

I have divers with less experience

willing to go but I feel I owe it to my

crew to give this rescue the best chance

of success please

Laurie

I mean that has to keep thanks okay if

we can short out the firewall I can I

can probably reboot the computers okay

looks Hillary powers back here online

there's no way that will get the engine

started but we might be able to get the

ballast tanks back what are you doing

taking notes letter to my wife just in

case

hey we got this step-by-step Oh give me

their fighting octopus

see

works every time no we got a can the

lights

how can you be sure if there were no

observation windows on your craft just

whatever it was caved in the entire

starboard side of a loose summer right

wasn't my imagination it's a wave blew

the hatch but rescued they left aboard

11 medic safe and sound more to die

because you panicked if I am the blonde

the hatch we all would have been killed

by that thing

there was no thing there was no evidence

of anything because it was destroyed in

the explosion Heller look there was no

time left

so I made the call and you left our

friends there to die at an act of

cowardice what do you think happened

down there he lost it and now about to

send him in an exact same situation

excuse me so yeah I'm sorry to interrupt

you but we need to use an emergency now

they're leaking oxygen they've got a

couple hours maybe more

I'm going no wait what I'll take one of

the gliders drop with the origin and tow

her off wait the origins ballast tanks

blow you're gonna die too

we have to try me you take care

well maybe we should pull y'all ahead

Lisa but Quincy - how'd you do them

where's your mom well no I need you to

mom

mama true doll

good to go Cillian you are go for launch

although descent sequence initiated

we've got a new problem it's your

daughter she's a good slider to try and

save them why did you let her go first

me I didn't let her do anything I was

sort of under the impression you're

supposed to try to save people who are

dying on the bottom of the ocean see I'm

the guy who paid for all this you know

he looks heroic and he walks fast

what's a window in a big clubs who are

you I'm the one I designed all this

summer life's in your hands pretty much

not a problem

nobody minds really no way it done I'm

sorry Mac I've talked to hell no meters

in the medical Bay hello don't mention

it

he's in perfect shape just like the last

time you exhale at me

soo-hyun took the collider 15 minutes

ago she's planning on taking the Argent

back up Phoenix is the south we're not

done here yeah we yeah Glory's running

out of that we're in international

waters which means illegally gonna be

the ever-loving shit out of you and get

away with it it's true legally I mean

good thing he doesn't hold a grudge

Jonas you do know that this sub is rated

for 12,000 meters right but the one

leaking on the ocean floor ha good point

once you strip back the safeties and go

full manual like I know you're gonna do

the system is gonna have problems

trying to keep up with your pressure

changes try not to blow your ears out

brother next me skipper you must be the

crazy guy that called me that yeah well

I'm not crazy they'll just say things no

one else has that's the definition I'm

crazy back up power back up there

so were your parents my mom's trying to

bring our friends back from the bottom

of the ocean my dad's with a Pilates

instructor and type a granddad says mom

needs to move on but mom says she needs

more time because she was married to an

a all let's go to point you know if I

give it a try

hey crazy is my mom gonna die love

captain bubbles in your mom back in no

time

I promise

yeah Jax okay Tom evolution we are go

for dive hey brother look it's go

I see descending so fast so he's

diverted all non-essential power like

heat and life support motors he's gonna

black out

these blood gases are dropping of course

to return to 101 immediately you can

give us an escort are no way up so to

get out of the way make more people

means more risk excusing way over her

head

Janice you just totally yourself what

the little green button on your intercom

that's a single channel communication

brilliant

entering thermocline

at this speed I'm gonna have to divert

power from the heat shut down anything

that could ice over call you from the

other side you got Wi-Fi here Toshi is

still out there I can tell I can't see

anything right now

there it is

I've got the visual other word why any

more friends okay

they're alive I'm going to set up two

tone range to target meters firing

magnetic hook three two

okay what's happening

it's like 2025 meters Megalodon

so glad she had powered down strong for

the light so everything down and stayed

off shut down in 30 seconds shutting off

everything becomes shut down in 25

seconds

it's no time turn off your lights shut

down 20 seconds cut them off shut down

at 15-second I don't at all

hurry

our teachers value tax no I can help you

save the probe car this damage there's

nothing you can do bro your tanks now

doctor shop your daughter's Claire and

if we are now

some of this isn't the world's best I

told you so you came all the way here

just to tell me that in here pretty much

she's coming bad thing hits us while

it's still attached

come on adoption

Jonah's coming are you all okay

dr. Heller has vitals on Lori and the

wall but we don't have touch just oh she

okay Jonas is Toshi okay

remover net it's good behold we got it

you couldn't bring Toshi back why not

he closed the hedge you saved us

you left him

you left him because that's who you are

you are the guy who leaves people behind

you go that deep you take your life in

your hands your choice to send them

there

why don't do this anymore Mac who is she

puncher just missed her liver she lost a

lot of blood and she's stable

Jonah's

I'm sorry I was wrong

you say Lori claim

I just want to apologize for before I

was angry and I lose my temper and you

did save my you naked I know you did all

you could

so thank you yeah you're welcome

I know it's not easy being the person

who survives I'm gonna go now you should

have some clothes yep

it's the original plan okay then carry

on

Hey

I was it's all good join us in luring

with a listener a couple living uh-huh

whole experiment was over in a year I

didn't ask anything

this is what attacked us a Megalodon how

big is that time between 70 and 90 feet

21 to 27 meters the Megalodon was the

largest shrimp that ever existed it's

feared to nothing it had no predators

its jaws was stronger than any other

animal ever the neck could by the well

in half crashing through the bones we're

in uncharted territory until today

megalodons were thought to have been

extinct over two million years a living

fossil that living fossil ate my friend

I cannot begin to express my sadness for

Toshi's death we have the discovery of a

lifetime this is what hoshi worked for

it's what we've all worked for but we're

going to have to proceed slowly yeah

that's really not gonna work for me

what is mono one this station yes and

what's it doing mm-hmm right now exactly

nothing

twenty million dollar rover gone thirty

million dollar sub gone you are now

sitting in the most expensive underwater

marine biology day camp in human history

hey Gracie

and now that we've actually found

something amazing we can't proceed

slowly thank you for keeping our promise

you lose an astronaut you charge forward

or someone else will get there first

other people will want a piece of this

thing whether we like it or not you seem

to like it

excuse me I said you seem to like it I'm

sorry is he part of this team you're

damn right he's a part of this team okay

even think that mother nature might know

what she's doing

the thermic line might just be there for

a reason

hey look do you want to explore go ahead

explore if you start sending people back

down there don't call me to come save

your asses cuz in case what happened

down there wasn't clear to you man

versus maid isn't a fight

it's just slaughter

what you people discovered is an even

bigger goldmine than we ever thought

possible

we are completely unprepared to deal

with creature like Megalodon we can get

prepared

it's okay he's just a whale wait where's

Susie where's the mom

it's a station alright report no leaks

no visible damage alrighty

initiate emergency protocols and nobody

is to go near the water

if you insist it's been a 40 underwater

lighting its cryptic route to essential

areas you said it was impossible for it

to get up here should happen you guys

take a look at this when the glider came

up the thermocline was intact so it was

1 degree Celsius right yeah but a minute

later when the evolution came up the

temperature increased by 25 degrees

a shark had come right through there 20

sharks for that matter the mega the

origin had slammed into a thermal vent

those can release millions of gallons

per minute the heat from that vent

cleared a path through the freezing cold

layer are you saying we opened up a

superhighway for giant sharks not

exactly it seems like it was a

transitory event the temperatures are

returned to normal and the gap is closed

yeah but not before a massive

prehistoric killing machine decided to

come up and say hi look we're wasting

time

nothing's out there it's a finding

killing no we can't we should explore

non-lethal options first the main go for

us got an emergency locator beacon 20

miles south-southwest does that mean it

means boat is gone down three bolts is

the Meg need to get there now

these sharks have no fins they were

killed by sharp poachers they cut off

the fins and throw the sharp back to die

all four poles suit it's like an egg

even the score one fish did all this

let's get yourself ok we have a shark

cage is spearguns on board if we can

shoot the mag in a soft spot like its

mouth or gills

we can inject it with something lethal

oh it's gonna take at least 20 minutes

to rig the cage well nothing will be

gone in two don't you just put a tracker

on it you guys ever watched Shark Week

you have one of those like GPS tracker

tag thingamajigs keep an eye on the

shark till the cage is ready we should

be able to put a tracking dart in that

dorsal fin you're welcome

yeah but somehow we have to get this

boat next to that make no we can't it's

already proven aggressive towards boats

the safest way to approach it without a

vehicle

hold up hold up what you want to swim at

them to a prehistoric shark that ate our

friend actually one of us alone in the

water it's no threat

okay who the hell is gonna make that

swim let's draw straws I can't swim

sorry my body made me say that you sure

about this

not really if I get eaten

you don't feel really bad this tracker

rifle only has a 100 foot range 100 feet

get really close before you shoot great

you want me to go instead oh well I've

got this mech yeah good cuz I was lying

be safe yeah thanks pal

I hope you're right about this meet you

and preceding the enormous killer shot

yeah we got you join us we're gonna be

fine

oh boy it's going under

he's done it

right brayla man djay

stop no vibration up in trouble Jonas is

coming at you

you might be a son-of-a-bitch

you sure as hell know couch

I prepared the spearheads to inject it

orphaned a killer whale snapped out with

ten cc's that with 20 what do you think

I think we use a whole damn bottle

let me again was good idea what that's a

shark cage plastic shut cage we're gonna

ignore that you just said that this

beautiful thing is polycarbonate

specifically designed not to crack not

to break but to deform and in this case

at this thickness it would take 20,000

pounds per square inch maybe talking

about breaking that's eight to nine

hundred thousand I don't like it doesn't

like I wouldn't get in there

that's good

what do you say he said be careful

that's his version of I love you you

Father has a lot of faith in you I've

done hundreds of chef dies I like this

yes but I know shark Anatomy and I know

where this can penetrate through

Megalodon skin sayin let me go it don't

worry about me let me do what I do best

everything okay up there just a fresh

round of chum so you you know tastes

good thank you bye bye good luck what's

happening darling okay yeah I'm okay

just some teeny tiny eight-foot shots

here we go

we've got our attention

soohyun it's on its way 50 meters

I'm going to try to hit it in the eye

the cage will not break

hell yeah

your problem my math gets broken I

rolled the air

Oh Jackson

thank you

notice for you

is degrees in the water it's gonna hurry

swinging the second crane over we're

gonna set a trap dice and he's a bait

oh you were dead a minute ago doctor you

got out what's closer than I would have

liked can I have a minute gymnast sure

you save to me yeah for you alive

that's something you might want to see

oh yeah I'm better thank you

Jonas get a picture of me with its big

smelly beast okay wait there you want a

proper picture get your head inside like

seriously it's funny you like that I was

a serious man versus nature moment just

glad things went our way it didn't go

our way now for Toshi and not for

science Appetit what people always do

discover and then destroy at least you

can use this as your date in that pic

give you a little leg

the

wrong with you okay

now get out of here really come on you

work literally in the middle of the

ocean

nothing is part of the job description

they get some real help

hey and easy to find my location track

my sample there's a second shark yes

just hurry up and get us some help

Thank You Janice Oh who's relax relax

it's not good he needs a hospital fast

let's get the doctor

where's doc della you okay - we can do

this

swim gently back to the boat nice and

easy

I'm not gonna make it

we're gonna be okay you're good person

yolibeth

what was that what the hell was that

okay come on DJ no no this is why we

don't need a station okay that's why you

don't do that and you went down there

and you pissed it off not gonna come

back and kill every one of us now what

we supposed to do I see out in the first

place swimming in this ocean that one

ate the other one is another one gonna

eat this one babies it just killed

Heller

you killed the wall Toshi

my friends man okay can I just point out

that this thing is sinking what are we

gonna do now

where's Mack

yes

what happened here here nothing to your

hair - sure

guys

ten miles is still with us you got us

the ocean the middle of my frickin ocean

they gonna slow down the shark we threw

him over you can't it work good yes so

okay good news guys it's payback time

oh we seriously think that a rifle is

gonna hurt that thing I didn't have much

notice okay I just wanted to get it off

our backs

well done Mars

they beget leave good joke sort of a

call but you don't even don't leave you

just outgoing yo you was sure fashion

looks like them

Papa silly mrs. Lyon got the new year

Tippy's

that's my

she said how are you I really don't want

it sometimes things happen that change

your life forever

meanwhile the world just keeps going

maybe it would stop just for a second

what it doesn't

don't I love my two best words to die

think about it all the time every day or

replay it could have done more

it's not just about the once loose it's

also about the ones safe

I'm glad you're here

I've informed the Chinese government

about the Meg as well as the authorities

in Thailand Vietnam Indonesia and

Australia the Chinese are sending two

destroyers to take it out so this is now

officially and thankfully out of our

hands I'm closing Mana one until the Meg

is killed and an evacuation ship is

coming here tomorrow morning you damn

right and finally I just want to say I'm

sorry for your losses your friends

I came here to celebrate with you and

now I'm mourning with you

these are symptoms high velocity

demolition charges essentially charges

this is a advisable course of action

every person that gets maimed or killed

by that thing is a potential lawsuit a

potential casualty relax bro

see your cards

hey they fail it Mike I got off easy

compared to the rest of you guys hmm

when he got up there drinking what come

on

every time you owe me a soda for that

one fine

well square up when you get back okay

she's trying to take her mind off things

you know stuff for the mess with you

sorry I didn't believe you

they didn't call me crazy Yammer I

didn't call you saying he was saying

wasn't a word I've heard very often so

what now I don't know about this island

I guess I told me about you and stay in

the hotel Wow

maybe there could be you're the Becker

unbelievable how about you just try

something new so the rest of your life

is in a vast wasteland of misery and

solitude I think that's a good idea

you do huh I think you're always here

everything

my mom likes you too

this is possibly the worst moment of my

life target area or the official

let me make myself absolutely clear we

are not getting within a mile of that

monster until the helicopter kills it

hit it again

target is dead are you absolutely sure

because I'm not getting eaten by some

goddamn prehistoric fish well this piece

of it all over the place

charcoal chunks that's a good sign

alright take us in Oh jump down there

give me a couple of teeth big ones from

my desk alright keep one for yourself

nice

oh you seeing this

that's we've don't do that to me I think

doesn't have any teeth why I think we

killed a whale it's right below us get

us out of here

yeah I understand I understand yeah

thank you

let me guess no it's never cool in it

didn't call anyone no one knows the

shocks out there no one but the

Australians not the Chinese no one the

hell was he thinking I wanted to make

this go as quietly as possible Mac we

need to live did everyone know yeah I'm

on Jack's can you find that thing

wait what wait why are you asking her

that I don't like the fact that you

asking there about that thing you went

to illegally hack into Morris's

satellite tracking system to find a

prehistoric shark yeah okay we use a

tracker find a Meg we kill it bro we

really gonna do this I love people are

gonna die if we don't make Wyman me too

let's do this how'd you feel about

coming during the evac ship I'd say yeah

it's a great day to go fishing now let's

get everything on it Construction

explosives slide is the whole lot

everything because we're about the evac

right Ike evacuate like leave the area

of imminent danger and go to a safe

place like normal people

we got Jackson I think yeah here's what

we saw Mara's tag the shark but here is

where it's going son you play what's

that oh nothing

it only has some of the most densely

populated beaches in the world

luck with your authority not Peter Stark

shocked sounds got-damn Franklin we

can't rely on them for anything

how long until the shot gets to those

people 20 minutes get there first

doubtful yeah we're gonna have to

getting there first one mean anything if

we don't have a plan maybe we have a

plan it's where we do it right here in

shallows use the gliders of God there

okay so how are we gonna get it here

when there's beach full of people to eat

right here you ask it out for dinner

so how do you want to do this you asked

it my thinking

nope I was just being polite before

telling you what we're actually into so

you feel better about yourself

appreciate that

what nothing already

Kaneesha Yvonne - you'll know your tree

engine ok

we're close enough stop here Jax DJ

we're gonna get that thing in the water

yeah we're on it

any last thoughts about our plan nah he

would be a ghost and finally we agree on

something

let's not make it happen

damnit what's wrong Jonah come back sure

it's too close to this shit Jonas it's

on you

Jonas what's going on down there try to

stay out of its mouth

we move

Oh

anybody see it can't see the shot

something's going on up here

okay

bring it to me here we come

thank you mercy

for sure unless you got a pasta

go

take care of me

okay I'm leading it away from the ship

oh yeah

okay okay I'm okay

it is darkness

we're sitting ducks up here Jonas Jonas

we've got nothing left

wash nothing are you gonna kill it

evolution I'm gonna make this thing

bleed so yeah we said before you were

right it's not about the people you lose

this brother Pippy is safe

please

thank you look who it is

Oh is to being alive

and to our friends

I don't know about you

vacation surely as my mum

you

you
