Young Blood

Episode 2

Why are there so many people?

What a beauty!

You must be the most beautiful one here.

Here.

Are you looking for me?

Why are you here?

I’m waiting for you.

You are here too.

I find that

you look familiar.

I feel the same way.

Stop.

Knock it off.

We have agreed just now.

I will choose first.

You must be

the most beautiful one here.

As soon as I saw you,

I was fascinated by you.

You make me crazy.

Come on, give me a hug.

Why don't you go to that room?

No, I’ll stay here.

There are more beautiful girls in that room.

I want you only.

Junior Wei. Junior Wei

So annoying.

How dare you!

Behave yourself!

This is Junior Wei!

Shut up.

Such a beautiful girl.

How can you yell at her?

It’s not a big deal.

Kicking shows affection.

If you want,

you can kick me again.

I’d love to.

Beauty.

Beauty, open the door.

Open the door.

Why did you lock the door?

Open the door.

What’s this?

It should be knockout smoke.

How can they do that?

Come and sit.

Otherwise, you will hurt when you fall down.

Okay.

See you.

See you.

You wake up?

A deserted temple.

Judging from the details,

Ying Bu should have been enshrined here.

How long have you been awake?

Not long.

Instead of running away,

you are studying the statue here.

You’ll know when you open the door.

The back door is also guarded.

So is the roof.

The temple looks having been deserted for years.

City God Temple has more worshippers these years.

The temples dedicated to famous generals in ancient times

have fewer worshippers.

It’s not the brothel.

You have a good eye.

Where’s the beauty?

Where are my guards?

What are you doing?

Do you know who I am?

Do you know who my father is?

Guys.

Sorry.

Sorry.

What’s going on?

They scared me with knives.

What’s going on?

Actually, we just woke up.

We don't know either.

I see.

It must have been the bandits who broke into the brothel at night

and kidnapped us and the beauty.

Where’s the beauty?

Where’s the beauty?

I’m here.

Did you sleep well?

Beauty?

Not bad.

Just have a cramp in my leg.

They follow your orders?

You collude with these bandits!

You found it out.

Where are my guards?

Don’t worry.

I have buried them.

Childe Yuan.

I’m really sorry.

I planned to

narcotize Junior Wei.

But I didn't expect that you were in the same room.

You want to kill me?

Childe Yuan.

Let’s get to the point.

Song imprisoned your brother

and ruined your future.

For such an imperial court,

don't you have a grudge?

You are not Song people?

Secret Agent Department of Liao

can help you save you brother.

You are Liao People?

Who said I was going to save him?

Childe Yuan.

Please think it over.

Now in Kaifeng,

we are the only ones

who want to and can save him.

Why are you

helping me?

Song doesn't appreciate heroes,

but Liao does.

If you are willing to serve Liao Dynasty,

you will become a marquis in the future.

What do you think?

Okay.

I agree.

How about Junior Wei and this childe?

You Liao people.

I’ll kill you.

You are courageous.

Impressive.

Let me go.

I’ll kill you.

Let go.

And you.

I’ll kill all of you.

Go, go.

I’ll kill you.

If you

really don't want to surrender,

I will have to kill you.

Wait.

Would you mind waiting outside

and giving me some time

to persuade them to surrender?

You are a traitor.

You betray the country for the glory.

I’ll kill you.

Stop jabbering.

Listen to me first.

Wang Kuan.

Hurry up. Come and help me.

Kill this traitor.

I’ll kill you.

I lied to them.

What did you say?

You think about it.

We are now caught by the secret agents of Liao.

If we didn’t agree, we would die, wouldn’t we?

Even if I die, I will not surrender to Liao.

Okay, okay, okay.

I didn’t ask you to surrender.

We just pretend to agree.

Think about it.

Why do the secret agents of Liao need us?

Why?

They want to make use of our status

for military intelligence.

Nice try!

If they want us to collect military intelligence,

they have to help me save people, right?

To save whom?

You didn’t hear that?

I don’t get it.

My brother.

Who’s your brother?

Yuan Boqi.

I’ve never heard of him. What does he do?

Forget it.

Let’s get to the point.

If they want to help us save people,

they have to send us back to Kaifeng first, right?

Are we out in Kaifeng?

You didn’t see that?

It's wild outside.

Obviously, we're out of Kaifeng

I didn't notice that.

When we return to Kaifeng,

we can find a change to report to

the government office

or the Ministry of War.

Then all of these secret agents of Liao

can be caught, right?

I have never thought of that.

If you don't hit me,

I'll come down.

It seems to make sense.

He was pretending to surrender.

I knew it when he spoke.

Let’s make a deal.

We’ll pretend to surrender,

and then wait for a chance to fight back.

Okay.

I have a small problem.

Is there any mistakes?

I never lie.

If you don't lie,

you will be killed later.

A gentle who behaves himself

is not afraid of death.

Right, right.

He is so inflexible.

I usually don't deal with him.

Be quiet.

Let me think about it.

How about this?

You don’t say anything, okay?

That’s okay.

Alright, you don’t say anything.

Right. Don't say anything.

Leave it to us.

You also shut your mouth.

Do you succeed?

Of course.

They are also willing to surrender to Liao.

Really?

That’s great.

From today,

you are a member

of Secret Agent Department of Liao.

You must save my brother first.

Of course.

Now let’s return to the city and discuss how to save him.

Take it easy.

I have brought it for you to save him.

What? Where is it?

I see.

What do you mean?

Your father is Grand Commandant.

So what?

It is the imperial guards under the Palace Division

who caught Yuan Boqi.

They happen to be under your father's command.

So?

So if we ask the Palace Division to release him,

we will naturally need your help.

You were invited to Ecstasy Gate,

and now you are willing to serve Liao.

So when we return to the city,

you intimidate the imperial guards,

and then we can save my brother.

Right.

If I attend to this matter,

it will be easy to save your brother.

Good idea.

Since you agree,

let's hurry to start off.

Do you know

who is enshrined in this temple?

General Ying Bu of the Han Dynasty.

Right.

Ying Bu

is sceptical by nature.

He first joined Wu Rui and then was loyal to Chu.

When Liu Bang rose to power,

Ying Bu defected from Chu to Han.

When the Han Dynasty was established,

Ying Bu raised an army and started a rebellion.

In the end, he was killed

and quartered.

Childe Yuan, you are a hero.

You're not as capricious as Ying Bu, are you?

You don’t believe in us?

No.

I'm just thinking that

we need Junior Wei

to save your brother.

I’ll take care of it.

Then how about him?

He’s also willing to serve Liao.

I don’t even know his surname.

What's the use of him?

His surname is Wang.

I don’t care about his surname.

But,

he

can do a petty thing for me.

You said you’re willing to serve Liao.

But I’m worried about that.

How about killing someone?

In the words of the outlaws in Song,

it is an oath of the outlaw, right?

You want me to kill him?

Killing a friend

is also a sign of your ambition.

Childe Yuan, please.

Childe Yuan,

what are you waiting for?

Make a preparation.

You did kill him?

Do you want to check

if I hid a blood bag on him

in advance?

We caught you.

You didn’t have time to hide the blood bag.

So this is my oath of the outlaw.

You did kill him?

Return it to you.

Don’t move.

You killed your friend first,

and then attacked me

off guard.

You killed him just for this?

In order to live,

you risked your friend’s life.

Childe Yuan.

You are really ambitious.

If I did kill him,

why would I catch you?

You must compensate me for this dress.

But I saw it clearly…

I see.

You’re a smart partner.

Didn't you say you never lied?

Lying on the ground

is not a lie.

Put down the knives.

Miss,

we can have a good talk now.

I’ll talk with you

about anything.

We have to know each other first.

What’s your name?

In Kaifeng,

I should have a Song name.

Just call me Zhao Jian.

Miss Zhao.

Now ask your men to

bring us a cart,

and send us back to the city.

I promise to let you go when I get back to the city.

I will never embarrass you.

If you put down your knife now,

I promise I won't embarrass you.

Now your life is in my hand.

You'd better not challenge my patience,

or if I stab you with my knife, you will...

What are you doing?

Thank you.

I should be a few months older than you.

So,

I should be your brother.

Nonsense.

Let me introduce.

This is

your sister-in-law.

Is your friend insane?

I am Wang Kuan.

I don’t care who you…

Wang Kuan.

We finally met with each other.

[Written Marriage Proposal]

Prince Zhao.

From today,

our children

are engaged.

Yes, yes.

Kuang,

Zhao Jian will be your wife.

Remember?

So your marriage was arranged

when you were little?

Isn’t she from Liao?

Zhao family is also an imperial family.

All people may rebel against Song,

except Zhao family.

How about them?

You are also in the system of imperial guards.

Their weapons are all made in a standard way.

This shows that

these people may also be disguised by imperial guards.

I didn't see it.

Hello, sister-in-law.

I’m not your sister-in-law.

My engagement with him has long been broken.

Her family is declining.

My father is a bit snobbish,

so he decided to break off our engagement.

You are my ex sister-in-law.

But I disagree.

Since we have an engagement,

how can it be cancelled off just because of wealth?

In my opinion,

the engagement is still valid.

I couldn't find you,

or I would have married you.

Then I wish you have a happy marriage

and have a baby soon.

Enough.

I have nothing to do with you.

The engagement is invalid.

No, no.

As long as the written marriage proposal is not returned,

the engagement is still valid.

Shut up.

Okay.

And you.

Why are you with him?

It’s my fault?

[Bianliang City]

It's prosperous here.

It is indeed the best city in the country.

Show me your gate pass.

You are from Lizhou village,

Minzhou, Qinfenglu.

Your surname is Han?

Why do you go south?

Visiting relatives.

Go in.

Go. Go.

Thank you.

Go in.

Your gate pass.

How about this?

We’ll talk about the engagement later.

Alright.

Sister-in-law, why do you pretend to be Liao people?

Miss Zhao.

Miss Zhao.

There must be a reason

for all these tests since last night.

To observe the mind.

Observe my mind?

Of course.

If I had known you were with Wang Kuan,

I would have avoided him.

I just a common people.

Why did you bother to

set up such a situation?

Just to observe me?

To be frank,

Liao’s secret agents will look for you recently.

Liao’s secret agents?

How do you know that?

Song also has secret agents

in Shangjing of Liao.

Who will come to me?

I don’t know.

When will they arrive in Kaifeng?

Anytime.

Yuan Zhongxin.

You are now in danger.

We’re here to help you.

[Fuyuan Candied Fruit Shop]

-This is very delicious. -Take care.

Sir.

Candied fruit.

Do you want some?

Are they sweet?

Very sweet.

Come.

Please come in.

Come in and take a look.

You are from Lizhou village,

Minzhou, Qinfenglu.

Your surname is Han?

That man

is from Lizhou village, Minzhou.

Watch for me.

Boss.

Can you introduce

what they are?

Vanilla fruit, preserved plum, and apricot slices.

If you like salty food,

I still have…

No, no.

I love sweet food.

Choose the sweetest one for me.

Okay, sweet food.

You are here

for candied fruit?

Wait a moment.

How does it taste?

Is it sweet?

Is your surname Han?

From Lizhou village?

I’ll give you a big one.

Go have fun.

Thank you.

Officer,

what’s up?

I have a friend in Minzhou.

He wrote to me last time

that there was a flood

and Lizhou village was destroyed.

It should still be under repair.

Give me your gate pass.

I want to see it again.

It seems that there is something wrong with the time.

You are here for this.

Give it to me.

I don't think it’s necessary

Northern people like meat.

The candied fruit here

is better.

Perhaps Liao’s secret agents have come into Kaifeng.

They may show up at any time.

Why do Liao’s secret agents come to me?

Maybe because of your brother.

Yuan Boqi.

What does he have to do with Liao?

I don't know anything else.

It's no use asking me.

But now you should understand

how important this matter is.

I don’t understand.

Since Chanyuan Treaty,

there has been no war between Song and Liao.

But the secret conflicts have never stopped.

Recently,

all our secret secret agents in Shangjing of Liao

were wiped out.

The last information is that

the emperor of Liao will make overall arrangement personally.

Now many secret agents have infiltrated into Kaifeng.

But so far

we haven't found any clues.

So,

I am the bait?

Now we can confirm that

they will come to you.

So this is a great opportunity for us

to catch Liao’s secret agents.

Before the action,

we must observe

your moral character and loyalty.

Do you understand?

I have passed the test?

Right.

Now most people

think we are still in the brothel.

So you and I must hurry back to Ecstasy Gate.

We’ll talk about the rest on the way.

I didn't say I would help you.

Yuan Zhongxin.

You are also Song people.

To catch Liao’s secret agents

is your duty.

What if I refuse?

If you cooperate with us,

when it's done,

we will release Yuan Boqi.

Not enough.

What else do you want?

When it's done,

I want fifty thousand taels.

Are you crazy?

The minister’s monthly salary is only three hundred taels.

I know.

But I want fifty thousand taels.

You'd better think it carefully.

If I am unwilling,

I am likely to show my slip.

Maybe the chance to catch Liao’s secret agents

would be lost.

You are fishing in troubled waters.

No, no.

This is my way to love my country.

Fifty thousand taels.

I promise to help you catch Liao’s secret agents.

When it’s done, you must release my brother.

Only two requirements.

It’s up to you.

[Fragrance Shop]

Your Honor.

In Song’s territory,

don’t mention my title.

Just call me Mr. Han.

Yes. Mr. Han.

I didn't expect you to come here in person.

Kaifeng is a good place

where the food is delicious.

I like it.

Candied fruit.

Very sweet.

Have a try.

I dare not.

Just have a candied fruit.

Don’t be afraid.

Your fragrance shop seems to have a bad business.

In order to ensure privacy,

the prices

are higher than other shops.

You are wrong.

It’s weird to do a losing business.

Yes, yes.

You're right.

I'll change them later.

Please have a rest in the backyard.

No need.

How about Yuan Boqi?

He was caught by imperial guards.

Now he is locked in his house.

Isn’t he in jail?

No, he isn’t.

Where is Yuan Zhongxin?

Last night he was found

staying in a new brothel.

I guess he should have not left now.

Where is it?

Nanxie Street outside the old Cao Gate.

Its name is Ecstasy Gate.

Ecstasy Gate.

I must go and have a look.

I’ll get someone to go with you.

No need.

I’ll go by myself.

Take care.

Welcome to come again.

Why do we have to come in through the back door?

If there are secret agents,

we can't allow them to find out we've been out.

My guards are not dead, are they?

They just fainted.

When they wake up, you can take them away.

Can I leave now?

I asked you here

just to test Yuan Zhongxin.

Now it’s done.

You two can leave at any time.

We’ll leave together.

We?

After one night,

you and the beauty fall in love with each other

and decide to be together forever.

You are the beauty?

Yes.

I’m afraid it’s unconvincing.

I mean

I have no money to buy back your freedom.

No need of your money.

I’ll use my savings.

I get free from Ecstasy Gate

just to stay with you forever.

Use your money?

From today,

you live on my savings.

I’ll have a bad character.

Don’t worry.

We are only putting on a show.

If not,

we can't stay together.

Stay together?

Can I also put on a show for the country?

Don't kick me.

Forget it.

What should I do?

What does it have to do with him?

For the sake of state affairs,

I can understand.

I'll say it again.

Our engagement has long been invalid.

I know clearly whether it is valid or not.

Lean on me.

From now on,

I am your sweetheart.

I know. I know.

I'm not a man-eater.

What are you afraid of?

I'm not afraid of you.

I'm afraid of Wang Kuan.

It's not polite

to behave frivolously.

Those who accomplish big things don't trip over little trifles.

So she's not sister-in-law?

An engagement is made by law.

How can we go against it?

How about breaking off the engagement?

Okay.

But it must be done according to the law.

In short,

if we don't change the written marriage proposal back,

the engagement will still be valid.

If you don't mention it, no one knows about it.

I keep the laws and the rites in my heart,

which has nothing to do with others.

Alright.

You wait.

I'll give the written marriage proposal back to you as soon as I find it.

Okay.

You behave like a butcher,

not like an beauty.

You’ll see when you get out.

You may go first.

I’ll go alone later.

Honey.

Where do you live?

I was just expelled from the imperial college yesterday.

I have nowhere to live.

Honey, don’t be sad.

I think it must be that the imperial college cannot appreciate your talent.

Over time,

your talent will surely cause a sensation in the capital.

In this world, you are the only one

who knows me.

How about this?

We’ll find a place to live first.

I still have some valuables.

If we calculate carefully,

we can make a living.

It will be hard for you.

With you,

I don’t feel hard.

Let’s go.

You had a good show.

You flatter me.

Heading west,

there is an inn.

Our men have made arrangements.

How about Wang Kuan and Junior Wei?

What do you mean?

Don’t pretend.

Since such a big thing

has been leaked,

it will never be

easy to let them go back.

Junior Wei may not understand.

but Wang Kuan will not be fooled.

Really?

Wang Kuan is quite smart.

If he were not determined to be a gentleman,

he might become a devil.

My arm is tired.

Change to the other one.

Someone will look for them.

They have

something else to do.

Let's talk about it in advance.

If I know that

you treat Wang Kuan badly,

don't blame me for being ruthless.

Unexpectedly,

people like you

have a friend like him.

What kind of people am I?

Yuan Zhongxin.

I know exactly

what you have done.

It's really hard to separate.

I won’t go out.

You don't have to follow me in secret.

If you have anything to say,

just say it here.

I’m waiting.

Step aside. Step aside.

Go away. Get out of the way.

Guess

who the girl setting a trap is.

It’s…

A girl who was engaged to Wang Kuan.

The child prodigy of the Wang family?

Yes, it's him.

What is the child prodigy?

Am I worse than him?

If he is the child prodigy,

I am the son of dragon.

Watch your words.

It’s sacrilegious.

Right, right.

How about

the son of phoenix?

Not good.

The son of great immortal?

Not good.

A child endowed with civil and martial virtues?

This is good.

Who?

Go.

Chase him.

Let go of Junior Wei

Good skills.

Do you want to be my guard?

Do you know who I am?

Do you know who my father is?

Go.

The imperial guards were sent out.

The secret conflicts between two sides.

Too much is involved.

If I’m talkative,

I'm afraid that the information of using Yuan Zhongxin

to catch Liao’s secret agents

will be leaked.

So I’ve known it for a long time that

Junior Wei and I couldn't leave.

I’ve made it clear.

Aren't you going to show up?

Childe Wang.

Jing.

So

You are not from the brothel either?

We were all in disguise.

Who were you talking to just now?

You weren’t here?

I went to prepare the cart.

Nobody else?

No one.

What if I ran away?

You said you were waiting here,

so I went out.

What if I go back on my word?

But you do what you say, don't you?

Forget it.

What should I do now?

Now…

Shall I change my clothes and go out for the cart?

Yes, yes.

Change the clothes and go out for the cart.

I shall cover your eyes first.

Where is your cart?

Good question!

Where is my cart?

I parked it right here just now.

Did you tie the horse?

Tie the horse?
