But I don't think they're as much of a team as we are.

To me, texas was a stronger team than new orleans

far as faster cars, you know?

You know, our little strategy at the starting line

worked with them.

Nola's been sitting and watching us, though.

They're onto that. That's the talk going around.

They're onto our starting line, this and that.

Tonight, everything we've done up to this point,

every win, every loss, every time we got pissed off,

every time we was happy,

throw all that [bleep] out the window

because we were up against the best team.

They're the last team standing, just like we are.

Brent self is one of my good friends.

He decided to start his own team.

It is what it is. Me and him got in a little fight,

but I didn't think he was going to be a great leader.

He proved me wrong on that.

And I ain't taking him for granted.

It don't matter if you won every other race.

Treat tonight like it was your first race,

and give it all you got.

These guys ain't no joke. They're here for a reason.

They used to be a part of team nola.

They know what we know. We know what they know.

It's going to be one of our hardest matchups.

J.J.: We started this street race with 12 teams,

and now we're down to two.

Tonight, nola and black sheep mafia

go head to head on the street.

The winner of tonight will get $20,000

and they will get the chance to face off against memphis

and win a $100,000

and the title to say they're the fastest in america.

Nola made it all the way to the end last year,

and they came in at the beginning of this year

with their eye on the prize.

In round one, nola run over top of iowa.

And they beat iowa 8-2.

that puts nola 8. They going to the next round.

In round two, nola went up against relic and the northeast.

Relic played a few games.

but guess what -- they didn't work.

Nola shut northeast down 8-1.

Right-hand lane.

Scott: I want to run one thing by you guys.

Every other team we've raced, it's been pretty easy for us.

I mean, we've mowed right through them.

And it was easy to stay positive

the whole time that we mowed right through 'em.

Tonight, it's going to be a battle, guys.

We're going to lose some.

And only thing I'd like to ask y'all, when we lose,

keep your head up, - get it right back in the game,

and we can finish this thing,

because we're going to lose some.

You can write it down. We're not fixing to blank 'em.

It ain't happened. So keep y'all's head in the game.

If you get a loss, come back,

make the changes you got to make,

and let's go back for round two.

No "I" in team, so if you lose,

it don't mean you lost. At the end of the night,

when the team wins, you're still a winner.

You can't knock nola because they've proven over and over

they're one of the top teams on the street,

but they got their eye on black sheep mafia

because they've watched and seen that black sheep mafia

has been winning over and over,

and they are not going to take them lightly.

Black sheep mafia has raced in three different match ups,

and they came out on top in all three of them.

In the wildcard round,

black sheep mafia took on axman and team virginia,

and they beat them 8-4.

Then they faced off against loud mouth block

in south carolina in round one,

and black sheep mafia punished them, beat 'em 8-1.

That puts it 8-1,

black sheep mafia going to the next round.

In round two, black sheep mafia went up against the big names

and the heroes from texas, and you can better believe

that both of those teams pushed them hot rods to the limit.

Mother nature made the conditions rough on the street.

Both teams had a little bit of bad luck that night.

Texas lost their leader, birdman.

And on the other hand, stan wrecked the new megatron.

ain't all about out-powering your opponent.

I feel like I killed texas

right there at that starting line.

I don't know really anything I can tell any one of you

to do anything different, what y'all been doing, you know?

I mean, I'm blessed to have a team this tight

and what we've done, where we're at.

You know, we were predicted to lose our first round.

We proved that, you know?

And we got two more rounds to prove.

We've got to prove nola that we're faster than them

and then prove memphis we're faster that them.

Only thing I feel like that'll beat us

is our own error.

Coming out here, chase is a race.

You don't have to have a fast car.

You got to think smart and think of what the other man's thinking

and think ahead of him.

Every one of these guys are going to be hard.

They're going to have tricks up their sleeves.

It's going to be a dog-eat-dog race.

Brent and them's got a lot of fast cars, but we do too.

And all our cars go down consistently fast. They do, too.

I don't think brent and them's going to play any games.

If they do, that's going to be a deciding factor who wins.

But nola, we're probably not going to play games.

We're probably gonna come in there and race them

straight up like men and see who's the fastest in the world.

Long as we do nothing stupid on our part,

we'll be all right. I believe that.

Tonight's going to be a tough matchup for both teams.

I feel like whichever team holds it together at the starting line

and don't make no dumb decisions,

that will be the team that wins the $20,000,

and most of all, faces off against memphis

for the $100,000 and the title.

Tonight is not going to be no room for error.

Both teams can't make no dummy mistakes,

and it all begins when they make their run order.

because this concrete road is way more forgiving

and they can put all them big-mountain motors

and all that high-dollar technology at use.

And I feel like memphis does not have that.

We have to rely on pure street-racing skills,

but we've seen in the past grudge racing,

no matter what kind of road it is, it's still a street,

and it can be tricky.

And nola's been having some problems with it.

Tonight's nola's last chance to get all the data

that they need for their computers,

and it's the last chance for memphis to get a few hits.

He's one of our teammates. We're just both

trying to get some data to get ready for our race.

You know, we're pretty competitive in our group.

We always -- always want to win.

So we give each other a lot of trouble about it.

j.J.: Nola's already got two cars

locked in to race each other.

They trying to get all the data they can get

because they know it's the last night before they race mso.

But you can better believe that mso is out here, too.

We trying to figure out all we can,

and we're going to get a few test passes also.

Nola's been flying down this road.

They've been beating everybody.

Memphis could be in trouble this year.

chance to get the cars dialed in

before the big matchup next week.

Things have been going good for them so far.

j.J.: Nola's got more passes on this road than memphis

and way more data.

I'm just glad we're getting both of them back.

Memphis has got to get a few passes.

And get all the data we can

because there's some work to be done.

j.J.: In their matchups, nola's been sending todd out first

so I can see why they doing it in the grudge race,

and it makes good sense.

Todd's done really well for nola,

but he's struggled in a few of these grudge races.

He broke at the line in a grudge race

going against kye.

It was before the race against northeast.

Todd: So, we tried something new,

but it didn't leave to starting line,

so we struck out.

We're going back to what we know works.

J.J.: After he got his hot rod fixed...

...He struggled again, going up against his teammate daniel.

Then he made a terrible solo pass after tweaking on his car

and doing some adjustments.

although he's done horrible in the grudge racing

and been all over the place, he seemed to figure it out

when it comes time to race, and he's done pretty good.

Go on, start it off good for us, todd.

Man, you wouldn't know you'd draw their team leader, huh?

Todd: The best car they got for this situation, yeah.

J.J.: He went first off the trailer against iowa and got to win.

1-0. Nola 1.

Then he won also against northeast.

-[bleep] -[bleep]

J.J.: Todd for the win!

todd's one of the ones we got to keep an eye on,

because he seems like he makes a killer pass

first off the trailer or early in the game.

Memphis has got to keep his on him or we could be in trouble.

Also, todd's partner, daniel, he ain't no joke.

Strategy is to try to race it clean, leave on the arm drop.

Hopefully, both of us leave clean and we have a good race.

J.J.: He seemed like he's won every race for nola.

that's quite possibly the hardest thing

I've ever had to do, is sit there

and not leave the starting line.

I pushed that brake pedal as hard as I could push it.

J.J.: Daniel put out brent self. I never seen that coming.

He's been killing it in that little green mustang.

but regardless what todd and daniel have been doing,

they better get all the data they can

'cause they going have their hands full

when they mess with mso.

J.J.: Nola's not giving up.

After seeing todd struggle

with his hotrod on the starting line,

I see why they wanting to lock in more grudge races.

The weather condition has been a curveball

for a lot of the racers since they got here in wyoming.

You know racers.

They're going to whine and cry about everything.

I noticed they both got loose out there.

You think the wind and, like --

I think it's putting dust out.

And it's making it a little different.

It's got a little haze.

-Yeah, I can feel it. -Yeah.

That's part of being a street racer.

You got to be able to adjust and adapt to all conditions

and go down a street no matter how tough the street is

or no matter what the conditions of the weather is.

Kye had some issues getting down the road

during grudge racing.

Man: Yeah, he's knocking the tires off, some reason.

What'd it do, smoke the tires the whole way?

So hard.

Kye's tuner, adam, blew his motor up in his own hot rod,

so kye agreed to let adam drive the shocker,

and kye said he would drive showstopper, his new car.

He knows the car better than I do,

so I ain't really worried about it.

J.J.: Shocker may have bombed out during grudge racing,

but you couldn't tell it

when adam got in that thing,

going up against iowa and northeast.

Go, baby, go! Go! Go!

That puts it 7-1, nola!

He pulled the wins off twice.

Meanwhile, kye done great in the showstopper also.

Kye: Showstopper is my new no prep kings car.

Think I got nine laps total in the car.

to test in the showstopper...

and he's going to be driving the shocker.

If he can make a good pass with both of these cars

that'd be two that he can count on

to go up against memphis with.

You can guarantee one thing for sure -- nola and kye

are looking for some revenge since they lost last year.

They trying to do everything and anything they can

to get a win this year.

jerry: I chose the wrong car tonight.

I like to run my own teammates because I don't want

to let nobody know what we don't and how good we doing it.

So if they don't know how good I run, then they in the dark.

J.J.: Jerry bird locked in a grudge race with kye.

They're trying to get all the data they can

and make sure they don't leave a stone unturned

before they face off against memphis.

Memphis is going to have to keep their eyes open

'cause both of these dudes are going to be hard to beat.

Last year, the bird brothers had a rough start.

they lost both of their races up against texas in round one.

Jerry: Going to get that [bleep]

test [bleep] 100 times and it goes right down there.

Then jerry bird got the win up against northeast by sitting.

J.J.: And he won a close drag race up against gary from detroit.

Things went sour for the bird brothers again

when they went up against mso's anthony smith.

They sat, and anthony went clean and got a win.

Luckily, they had enough and they reeled him in

J.J.: In round two, rankin beat the bird brothers.

The bird brothers are claiming they had a deal worked out

so when you get in the left lane, you go left

and when you get in the right lane, you go right.

So you kind of got to try to make a wheelie-bar adjustment

to try to compensate for it.

I'm just glad we're getting both of them back.

Ain't really been enough cars going down it.

Kye: I was grudge-racing jerry bird,

just trying to get a test lick on the road, pretty much,

and I don't know.

Still fighting shocker. Ain't got it right.

I don't know if something's broke under this car or what.

I've been all over it, but it's just not driving

like the same car, so...I don't know.

Put in a lot of work. Ain't figured it out yet.

About turned around on me at the finish line down there.

So I don't know.
