Twisted Fate of Love

Episode 37

Bliss

Yufeng Pavilion

Your Highness, come to Feng Xi’s east villa

upon seeing the letter.

Dongyue.

Pass my order.

Muster troops

and rush for Feng Xi’s east villa.

Aye.

Residence of Benevolence

Listen.

We’ve been waiting for years

for this day.

You shall rebel

at my signal.

Conquer the capital

and admonish His Majesty.

-As you command, Your Excellency! -As you command, Your Excellency!

We can only move forward.

There’s no turning back.

If any of you wanna quit,

tell me now.

-Not until the death, Your Excellency! -Not until the death, Your Excellency!

Good.

As soon as the wedding is done,

we shall revolt

and march to the capital!

-Into the capital! -Into the capital!

-Into the capital! -Into the capital!

Your Excellency, it’s time

to go to the wedding.

Let’s go.

Minister Feng,

you were about to be late.

Your Excellency, given your ambition,

I’m sure you’ve got troops ready.

Even if I am late,

I dare not delay your course.

It’s wise of you, Minister.

Alright.

Let’s do the rituals.

Bow to Heaven and Earth!

Bow to the elders!

Bow to each other!

Hold on!

Feng Xi.

You vowed that

you’d marry me.

Why are you marrying Li Yurou?

You broke up with me, didn’t you?

What does my wedding have to do

with you?

Your sweet words made me fall for you.

Now you’re marrying this woman.

I will not agree!

What do you mean?

We are a perfect match.

It’s you who seduced him

and took him from me over and over.

We are getting married today.

What are you up to?

Dongyue.

I won’t waste my breath with you.

It’s our wedding today.

Leave here.

No!

Explain it to me,

or I will never let this happen!

Today you must go with me!

Hold on.

It’s the wedding for my goddaughter and Feng Xi.

You come uninvited.

How can you just walk away?

Your Excellency.

It’s my wedding day.

No blood shedding.

Father.

Kill Dongyue for me

and I’ll hand you the jade seal right away.

If Dongyue gets killed,

I will not get married.

This is the jade seal.

Where is it?

I hate you,

for your indifference,

and your coldness to me

over so many years.

Though I hate you,

I cannot do anything to betray you.

Don’t worry, Feng Xi.

He shouldn’t have it.

I won’t give him.

You witch! How dare you!

Guards!

Catch both of them!

Halt!

Yurou!

Yurou!

Your Excellency.

Don’t talk.

Let me stop the bleeding.

I just want a wedding,

a wedding for you and me.

Don’t blame me.

Don’t.

I won’t blame you.

From the moment you saved me,

you’ve been a family to me.

How could I blame you?

Your Excellency.

On this painting,

it should be Dongyue and you.

But I got this painting.

After I died,

you shall keep it properly.

Promise me.

I promise.

Dying in your arms,

I have…

no regrets.

Yurou!

Yurou!

Where is the jade seal?

Without the jade seal,

they have no reason to live.

I know where it is.

Feng Xi.

Don’t hand over the seal!

Now, only I know where it is.

Let them go.

I’ll lead you there.

Your Excellency.

Feng Xi is crafty.

Don’t trust him.

Since I come here,

Your Excellency has foreseen every move of mine.

I’m at my wits’ end.

By giving you the jade seal,

I want you to keep everyone in my mansion alive.

I will seclude myself

and never be in your way.

Feng Xi!

I know what you will do! Please don’t!

Feng Xi!

Your Excellency.

Listen.

Take care.

Feng Xi.

Don’t play tricks.

Or else,

they will all die.

Don’t play any tricks.

No hurry, Your Excellency.

Move.

Listen to me.

Feng Xi isn’t taking Lu Yuantong to the jade seal.

He wanna activate the mechanism

and bury Lu Yuantong alive.

Xi will be in danger, won’t he?

He’s thoughtful.

He must know the way out.

He intends to...

Ziyuan.

Do you have any darts?

Feng Xi.

My patience is limited.

If it’s so easy to find,

everyone will be able to get it, right?

We got this. Leave!

Go get Xi out!

Hurry! Rise!

I know,

for my sake,

for the whole world,

you meant to let go of vengeance

and die with them.

But listen,

you will not face all this alone.

Hurry! Go!

Your Excellency, leave!

Zang Fei!

However the game is arranged,

you’re always out of my control,

disrupting it.

You take everyone in the world as your pawn,

including me.

But you know,

I’m a disobedient pawn.

I never regret with my moves.

Never draw back.

It’s you who got me a taste of indecision.

For the pawn of you,

I’m willing to lose this game.

Though being used by you

as a pawn,

I have no regret being with you

in this game.

But this game is so short.

I don’t want us

end up here.

Me neither.

But I feel so lucky

that I’m yours

and you are mine.

Didn’t you promise me

we’d see the sunset together?

We’d finish Xi and Yue’s Story together.

You promised me we’d do chores together,

and see ilex blossoms.

Why?

Why are you leaving me alone?

Why?

Why?

Eryu. I wanna save Feng Xi!

Eryu! I...

Eryu.

Who on earth are you?

Over so many years,

why don’t you allow me to see your face?

My face was disfigured long ago.

Your face...

Was it

also Lu Yuantong’s doing?

Am I right?

I time traveled here,

but I couldn’t find you.

Because

you are Feng Xi.

Dongyue.

You have

successfully stopped Dingyuan Rebellion.

Why do you want to travel again?

Because Feng Xi is dead.

You’re dead.

I don’t want you to die.

Since I can stop Dingyuan Rebellion,

I can surely change your destiny.

Think about this.

Either stopping the war or saving me,

what if you have to choose?

This is the fate.

Even so,

I must save you anyway.

I wanna change fate with you.

Eryu.

Help me.

Help yourself.

The power of the flute

can take you back again,

but the power will also run out.

This is your one last chance to be back.

And, this time,

you’ll pay a higher price.

Whatever the price is,

I will pay it.

The first time.

I met Feng Xi

and fell in love with him.

I failed to stop the war

for I didn’t believe him.

Xi

The second time.

Feng Xi forgot me,

but we still fell in love.

He stopped the war for me

by sacrificing himself.

I thought

what I wanted most was to stop the war.

But now I understand,

what I want most

is Feng Xi.

Where is the jade seal?

Without the jade seal,

they have no reason to live.

I know where it is.

I know the layout of this place best.

Let all of them go.

I’ll take you there.

Dongyue.

Don’t be rash.

You don’t know where it is.

I’m the only one who knows.

Lu Yuantong.

You know how tricky he is.

Let him take you there or let me,

your choice.

-Dongyue! -Dongyue!

Daole. Ziyuan.

Feng Xi.

You must live on.

Listen up.

If there's any misstep,

you’ll all die.

My patience is limited.

You have 15 minutes.

Almost there.

It’s hidden by Feng Xi,

not that easy to find.

Ziyuan.

It should be here.

Move.

Don’t get in!

It’s a trap!

Feng Xi.

No more hide-and-seek.

Without you,

I can still find the jade seal.

Stop it!

Lu Yuantong!

You intend to rebel treacherously.

Let Dongyue go and give in!

Can you stop me?

Your Excellency.

It’s Tiger Troops led by the Crown Prince.

It seems the Emperor is intervening.

Our troops have yet to be gathered. Don’t fight head on.

Dongyue.

Dongyue.

Dongyue. I recall it.

I recall everything.

Your Highness. Your Highness.

Your Highness. Pardon me!

Have mercy, please!

My... My father...

Pooh!

Lu Yuantong is a rebel.

I’ve never been in it.

I indulge myself in pleasure.

I have no interest in politics at all.

I know nothing.

Nothing?

Why did you send Instrument of Surrender to Feng Xi?

Well... I...

I just followed orders.

In that case,

you’re just a puppet.

A wreck.

Why bother keeping you alive?

No! No!

Have mercy, Your Highness!

Your Highness!

I do know

the dirty deeds of my father.

But

he was forced

by Feng Xi to do them!

Ridiculous.

Feng Xi is crafty,

but he isn’t that capable.

No, Your Highness.

You don’t know it.

In fact, Feng Xi is

one of the Ming family,

the exiled Second Prince.

Li Yurou can testify.

She once showed

Feng Xi’s jade seal to my father.

Li Yurou?

She’s dead.

You can put it as you want.

No! No!

Your Highness!

Look. Think about it.

Why does Feng Xi care so much about the Instrument of Surrender?

Why did he try all out

to clear Ming family’s name?

My father and I are merely

two pawns of Feng Xi.

I’m not talking about Feng Xi!

Your Highness!

Feng Xi is coveting the throne.

He is your enemy!

Slap him

until he can’t talk.

Then take him back.

No! Your Highness! Mercy!

Your Highness!

Imprison him in Yufeng Pavilion.

I have a plan.

Yes.

I heard after your mother passed away,

Noble Consort Ming raised you.

Don’t you care about her family at all?

Do you really believe they’re treacherous?

If you were not suspicious,

why bother Mr. Wen and I

playacting the corruption and demotion?

Wen Ye was demoted.

On the one hand, it’s a cover.

On the other, it’s to get the Instrument of Surrender as an outsider

and hand it to His Majesty by your hand.

What happened today was my mistake.

But the murderer of Wen Ye

is definitely not me.

Xinyao.

If I mean to

close Ming family’s case

and execute

any investigators,

what do you say?

I

didn’t understand your doing.

Now I’m enlightened by you personally.

I’ll do as you command.

I am

at your disposal.

Good.

That’s what you should do, my son.

Greetings, Your Highness.

Well done.

These are...

Ordered by Dongyue, I’m taking care of Yurou’s funeral.

These are Madam Rou’s stuff.

She’s tolerant as ever.

Li Yurou can testify.

She once showed

Feng Xi’s jade seal to my father.

We’re short-handed

for the wounded.

Go to take care of them.

Yes, Your Highness.
