Episode 11

It's about to begin.

Ready?

Lighting, ready.

Sis Nian.

Shen Xun is really like what's rumored.

Has no acting skills.

Everyone has to waste time here with her.

Anyway, she's the leading female role, a senior.

Cut it out.

The leading female role is a maiden.

I think you're more like it.

If I can be an investor in the future,

I'll ask you to play it.

Xiaoxue!

Coming! Coming!

She heard us?

Here you are.

Sis Xun.

It's about to begin.

Everyone, ready?

Life Tide, Scene Four, Shot One, Take Three.

Mom, forgive me for being unfilial.

Sis Xiaorou! Knock it off.

Xiaorou! Wait for me!

Xiaorou! Xiaorou!

Sorry, director.

I didn't stand firmly.

Sorry, Nian, Mr. Su.

Come, let's do it again.

Okay, once again.

Life Tide, Scene Four, Shot One, Take Four.

Sis Xiaorou! Knock it off.

What are you doing with the Girl Ink and the Landscape Painting here?

Xiaorou! Wait for me!

Wait for me! Xiaorou!

Brother Cheng.

I still have a line to speak, Miss Shen!

Do you? I thought you're done.

Mr. Su.

Can you please say your lines more louder next time?

I really can't hear what you're saying.

My lines?

Go ask all the staffs.

I'm second to none when it comes to lines!

Every morning, to exercise my lung capacity...

-I always get up so early! -Yes. Yes. You're right.

You're a movie king. You're right. Okay?

Please, get yourself in the mood quickly.

I know her. Leave this to me.

Be serious. Okay?

Look, you...

Okay. Okay.

Enough.

You go downstairs. Let's do it again.

Don't waste our time, okay?

Everyone here is not easy, okay?

Okay. Okay. Do it again.

I dare you gossip behind my back again.

Director, I think Shen Xun does this on purpose.

On purpose?

You can even see that?

I'm not silly.

Sis Xun, this is your schedule tomorrow.

And flyleaves of the changed script.

Any of my scenes?

No.

I'll pass, then.

Du Nian's scenes. Two pages of it.

So many extra scenes for her.

So many scenes?

Look, she's finished her scenes.

But still walks around director Ye in the studio.

Says to learn more from the crew.

Enjoy learning in the studio?

Well, I'll let you learn much enough.

Hand this to director Yan or the coordinator.

Tell them Zhan and I

won't shoot in the morning and in the evening.

I've changed my schedule tomorrow in person.

Follow it.

Okay.

Du Nian, have some rest.

I'm tired of watching you dance even you're not.

No.

This scene will come soon. But I'm not ready yet.

I gotta practice more.

It just started. But you're working so hard.

I'm afraid you can't bear it.

Anyway, I can't lose to Shen Xun.

Even she's a superstar while I'm a petty actress.

Stop competing with her.

You've also seen that.

She targeted at me.

If you compete with her in acting,

it's okay.

But after work, bear with her, okay?

Look.

Director Ye gives you more scenes, right?

It means that he affirms your acting.

So,

I got another reason to seize this chance.

Can't waste my effort.

But there's still some problem with your dance.

How about asking Xiaoxing to teach you?

No need.

Hello, Miss He.

Du Nian, how are you doing?

Is the shooting successful or tiring?

It went well. Thank you, Miss He.

Be serious with the extra scenes on the flyleaves.

The scriptwriter is my friend.

She'll pay more attention to you.

How is your dance going now?

Not bad. I'll try to finish it myself.

That girl making the live streaming with you

majors in classic dance, right?

During your practice, you may ask her to help you.

Her?

Seems she's seldom free.

Du Nian, I haven't been to the crew.

But I still know things there.

Did Shen Xun throw a tantrum today?

You and Shen Xun can't be on good terms any longer.

But at least, you should maintain your tie with Shu Zhan.

Ji Xiaoxing is Shu Zhan's assistant.

So there will be many things

you'll communicate with Shu Zhan through her.

Sometimes, whether it's a friend or bestie,

You gotta know how to maintain them

and how to live with them.

Otherwise,

won't you have enemies everywhere and fight alone?

Miss He. I got it. Thank you.

Okay. Okay. Bye.

Have more.

Got it.

Sis Nian, your schedule tomorrow is changed.

It's been changed?

Except for the scene you'll play with Shu Zhan,

the other two scenes are the earliest one and the latest one.

Let me see.

Du Nian, won't you come the earliest and leave the latest?

And wear your makeup all day long?

Ting, it's the coordinator's idea?

I asked. He said it's...

Who?

Shen Xun.

Du Nian.

Let me go negotiate with the coordinator?

Never mind. No need.

Obviously, she's targeting at me.

Ting, back to your work.

Du Ruo, is Xiaoxing busy lately?

Xiaoxing?

Not so busy I think.

If she's not busy,

I think we may restart our Midnight Eyes live streaming.

Tomorrow night, okay?

Besides.

I also want her to teach me some moves of the dance.

Great!

You finally give up being mad at her.

I'll go tell her right now.

Wait. Let's have some food first.

Have more.

Gotcha.

Eat. Then you'll have strength to practice.

Come.

Miss He made a call today.

Said some media will come to the crew.

Okay.

Xinmei's money credited to the account?

Not yet.

Why?

Still under the signature procedure.

Will be solved in three days.

But I always feel there's something wrong.

The procedure is more like an excuse.

I also think so.

Back then, Xinmei strove to invest.

But the shooting begins. They're hesitating.

Shall we make other preparations?

How much money left in the account of Ling Capital?

Ruizhong increased the remuneration before the shooting.

Used a large sum of Ling Capital.

So did the E-sports club you mainly invested in.

Mr. Xin, how about asking for more money

from the headquarters?

They're against the expansion.

Life Tide is a last resort.

More investments are impossible.

Forget it. I'll have another talk with Xinmei.

Stop the E-sports club project.

Transfer the money to the account of Life Tide.

Okay.

Okay. Done.

Today's shooting is a little difficult.

But don't worry.

I'll keep you company!

Well...

Take your medicine.

I'll go wash an apple for you.

Wait for me.

Shooting for the first day. Take another two pills.

Mr. Shu Zhan, today's WIA scene is canceled.

Will only shoot your scene with Du Nian at the restaurant.

Thank you.

Du Ruo.

Are you free now?

I wanna tell you something.

Yes. Yes. I am.

What do you want to know?

Xiaoxing told me, she'll do Midnight Eyes tonight.

Can I join you?

Besides.

I've a plan.

Director Ye.

You're here.

Good luck.

Now, everyone, be ready.

Let's get started.

This place is nice.

Tomorrow it'll be here.

But it's too high.

My lady will feel afraid.

Miss!

Okay. Cut. Next shot.

Good luck.

Everyone, ready.

Shu Zhan, you can do this.

Now, let's begin.

Cut.

Okay. Good job.

What are you doing?

Nothing. Director Ye.

Shu Zhan.

You expressed your feelings so well in this scene.

You cooperated well. Thanks.

Thanks.

Shu Zhan!

Xiaoxing.

Shu Zhan.

That's amazing!

Are you alright?

Feel uncomfortable?

I'm fine, of course.

How could I not be okay since you're by my side?

That's good.

Xiaoxing, don't forget tonight's live streaming.

Wait for me. We'll leave together.

I'll come off work.

Okay.

She finally stops being mad at me.

Work harder later.

I'm leaving first.

Okay.

Three pills?

Didn't expect you took three pills.

Shu Zhan, don't do this again.

Even for the shooting,

you can't put your health at risk.

Did I make you feel pressured?

We can take our time to cure it.

But your health matters.

If no other means,

you can also put on airs!

You can ask for changing your scenes.

If I changed my scenes,

you wouldn't treat me like this.

I know you hate perfunctory actors the most.

I also hate things that make you uncomfortable!

What... What are you doing?

I mean,

blocker agents do harm to your body with side effects.

Sis Ye said that you can't eat too many.

That simple?

Yes.

Why your ears become pink?

Your room is too hot.

Why it's so hot?

Midnight Eyes is calling you.

No. No.

I gotta stay to look after you.

I'll be alright after a sleep.

Told you, I'm fine.

I can't fall asleep if you're here.

Fine.

I shall leave you to rest alone, then.

Call me if you feel uncomfortable.

You gotta call me.

Isn't this room too big?

This is the room reserved for Mr. Song?

Yep.

A motion room.

He probably won't come anyway.

So director Yan gives us for our live streaming.

I still think tonight's plan is not good.

Why?

We gotta do a live streaming anyway.

So why don't we try Shu Zhan's idea?

Perhaps.

We can really cure Xiaoxing.

But how could Xiaoxing's illness be cured so easily?

You can't say that.

The shrink Shu Zhan consulted is very, very famous.

He said that

such a specific aphasia like Xiaoxing's

can be stimulated in a specific environment.

For example, fear cameras.

Give her emergencies before a camera.

But if Xiaoxing knows the content,

how could she be frightened?

Xiaoxing thinks there're only us three.

But the one to stimulate her is Shu Zhan!

Shu Zhan?

He'll be on camera?

I've prepared a sneak attack for him.

Here, slowly.

What are you doing?

Push this to that side a little bit.

Who lives in the room above mine?

Mr. Song Huaixin's reserved room.

Him? He's around?

He's in Haicheng.

Go check who's in the room.

Now?

Mr. Xin, I'm in Haicheng now.

I'll meet people from Xinmei tomorrow.

Yes. I forgot that.

It's okay. Bye.

The room at the deepest corner on the 13th floor

usually is the most haunted place in the entire hotel.

This is a suite.

Once a family came for a trip.

Played a special hide-and-seek in this room.

What are you doing?

Currying favor with Xiaoxing?

She's not around.

Where did she go?

Why should I tell you?

Where are you going?

Why should I tell you?

If you don't tell me, I'll have to follow you.

Be insightful, okay?

Tell me where Xiaoxing went

and where you're going.

She went to the live streaming.

I'm going to help her, okay?

Okay. I'll join you.

Dad walked slowly.

First he found mom.

While mom walked in the same way.

Found their kid.

But who would the kid find at last, then?

An... An Ge.

What's up?

The live streaming doesn't need you. You'll help nothing.

So what?

I'll watch you guys do it, okay?

No. You don't understand what I meant?

You'll ruin it if you're there.

So what?

You won't ruin it? Why?

What if An Ge enters the room first?

No. That can't happen.

Okay. We both stay out of it.

Both.

Okay. Let's go.

Let's go.

Come on. Go. Go.

You first.

Okay. Go.

Go. Go.

Please.

Please.

No...

Ghost!

Ji Xiaoxing, can't you be normal?

Mr. Xin...

Why is Mr. Xin there?

An Ge, you...

Xiaoxing, you can speak!

When Mr. Xin came in,

the camera was open and you spoke!

So great!

Xiaoxing!

Doctor Herse,

about the lens aphasia I consulted last time,

is there any cure?

I still don't know the cause.

Reduce the blocking?

Having fun with the crowds

Sing the most trend song

The louder I sing, the lonelier I feel

Loneliness always hides in the bustling space

How can I be defeated

by other people's happiness?

Exhibit an exquisite dinner on the social media

No one accompanies me

Only some give hearts

The more I eat, the lonelier I feel

I show off nothing but what I want the most

But needs to be confirmed.

It's just an emergency just now.

Don't know if it'll work in the future.

What if it will?

What will you do?

To be his assistant?

If you agree...

I don't! Don't even think about it!

I know. Don't worry.

I'll one hundred percent accompany you to finish this film.

I have the spirit of contract, okay?

Besides.

This film is also Xin Yuanling's.

Well, tell me.

What the impression you left on Xin Yuanling?

Bad.

What about his temper?

Very bad.

Yes!

A man who has a bad temper and a bad impression on you.

Why should he help you?

Why should he be your cure?

Besides, every time you're on camera,

have to make him stand by the camera?

Will he agree?

You're right.

Or you'll confess to him that...

You're my cure. Can I take you?

Then Xin Yuanling will say to me,

Ji Xiaoxing, get out!

So I don't think it'll work.

I'm screwed. Screwed.

Xiaoxing.

It's okay.

There're always more solutions than problems.

At least you know

that your illness is not incurable.

Maybe I can also help you.

I'll also pop out,

boom, to scare you.

Maybe it'll also work.

Forget it.

There will always be a solution.

He's my cure.

And I'm his vixen.

Since I can't nail him,

keep a good relationship with him first.

Xin Yuanling can't get rid of my control.

Shu Zhan.

I've come up with a combat plan.

From tomorrow on.

I'll try my best to approach him.

To confirm one thing.

That is, if he's my cure.

Well...

Shu Zhan. Rest early.

See you.

Rest early.

Well...

I recall that "won't regret it" remark.

Not interested.

Go take a look since you're already here.

We better go back to the academy.

You hit on Xiaorou, now it's Nuange.

Is it their fault?

Hello, Du Ruo.

You treat them like this.

Mr. Xin is here?

Okay.

Okay. Right now.

Where are you going?

Why his cup is the same with mine?

It's not. It's not.

Fruits in this one are

a little more expensive that of yours.

Relax. I used my own money.

I gotta go out and will be back soon.

-Wait for me. -No. Come back!

Where are you going? Come back for the lines.

It'll start soon.

You hit on Xiaorou, now it's Nuange.

Is it their fault?

Mr. Xin.

Look.

Mr. Xin looks pretty good on camera.

Shu Zhan's assistant is really something.

Look, does Mr. Xin have some relation with her?

Not sure.

They look pretty close.

Mr. Xin looks pretty handsome on camera.

Mr. Xin.

Hi, Mr. Xin. Hi.

I've told you!

Stay away from me.

No problem.

But you just need to meet one requirement of mine.

Then I'll go as far as you want.

Come with me.

Come in.

If you make trouble again, I'll...

What are you doing?

Have you had breakfast?

What?

Go back home if you haven't.

Peter Piper picked pickled peppers.

Pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.

Ji Xiaoxing!

My hometown is that village!

Ji Xiaoxing.

Have you had breakfast?

-Go back home if you haven't. -Ji Xiaoxing.

Mr. Xin!

-Mr. Xin, listen to me! -Let go!

Mr....

Ji Xiaoxing, are you crazy?!

Mr. Xin,

thank you on behalf of my whole family and ancestors!

Mr. Xin, thank you. Mr. Xin, bye!

What ancestors? Come back!

I...

Watch out!

Director Ye.

Du Nian can only dance to this extent.

After all, classic dance can't be learned in one day.

If this is not okay,

use some dance stand-in.

If using a stand-in,

the actress' shots and the stand-in's shots

will be switched a lot.

And this scene's effect will be discounted.

The feeling I want will be gone.

Du Nian.

How about this, try...

Du Ruo. Du Ruo.

Have you seen Xiaoxing?

Xiaoxing? She's not with you?

She's gone out with Xin Yuanling for a long time.

Hasn't come back yet.

Nor has she called me.

Don't worry, then.

She should be alright.

But Mr. Xin is probably in a very dangerous situation.

Help! Help!

Help! Anyone outside?

-Help! -Stop shouting.

Hello. Hello?

Seriously? Power off at such a critical moment?

Your phone?

Well, what the heck?

Lost it.

At such a critical moment?

What are you doing?

Mr. Xin, are you gonna die here?

It's just a scratch on my head.

Wait.

We should work together to push these boxes.

If we can move them,

we'll probably get out, okay?

Ready?

One. Two. Three. Now.

What's wrong?

Nothing. I'm ready.

Don't lie to me.

Are you really ready?

Put your hands on it.

Count to three. Count to three.

Now.

One. Two...

Wait!

What's wrong again?

I want to go to the restroom.

Hurry. Hurry. Hurry.

You count.

One. Two. Three!

Help.

Help.

Help.

Help.

Anyone there?

Zhan.

Why are you here? Where's Ji Xiaoxing?

I told her to buy something.

She'll be back soon.

Are you crazy? Waiting here?

How many people get in and out here?

Yes.

I'll go upstairs soon.

Sis Xun, have you seen Xin Yuanling?

No. What's wrong?

Nothing.

I'm just being curious. You go upstairs first.

Why Zhan looks so weird today?

Help.

Help.

Help.

Anyone there?

Help. Help.

Pile up the sacks.

Hurry. Hurry. Hurry.

Help. Help.

Brother Wu, make it higher.

Anyone there?

Don't leave any loopholes.

Help.

Help.

Help.

Here. Here. Here.

Pile them up.

Okay.

Stop shouting. They can't hear us.

Now I can't even feel my feet

As for the cause of my death,

I should die of paralysis.

Can you not say die so early?

Mr. Xin, why are you shaking?

I'm not.

Mr. Xin.

Are you born incompatible with Yunfu film city?

No.

It's you who are incompatible with me.

Since I first met you, I lost my phone.

No, damaged.

Then I lost my data.

You... You also...

Mr. Xin, stop being nostalgic.

In TV shows, once they recall things, they're gonna die.

-I haven't... -Shut up.

I really haven't had enough of living.

Explosives buried well inside?

Yes.

What? What?

Set off them later at my order.

Okay.

Set off the explosives?

-Help. -Help!

-Help! -Help!

Anyone there?

You guys hurry up.

Have it done.

Pile them up.

Be careful.

Irrelevant people leave the site now.

Hurry, leave.

Go. Go.

Be careful.

Hurry up. Hurry.

Go.

I'm done here.

Hello, Xiaoxing.

Shu Zhan, help!
