Once I finish talking to you.

I'll request a formal investigation into the matter.

I've already talked with the lead detective.

This is absurd.

I don't know anything.

You'll probably be the first person the police investigates.

- Why me? - Why do you think?

You already know the answer.

Min Soo, how dare you approach Choong Bok.

He's is on my side.

No matter what you say, he won't betray me.

This is the footage...

of you on the premises that day.

That's...

So tell me.

Why were you here...

minutes before my father arrived for lunch?

I heard how nice it was so I came to check it out.

I needed a venue for the weekend.

That's it. That's why I was here.

So did you book...

the place for the weekend?

No, my friends preferred someplace nearby.

I don't think this was entirely your doing.

I didn't do anything, Sir.

If you were coerced by a superior at work,

I'll take that into account.

If you don't come clean but get caught,

you'll be considered and punished as a co-conspirator.

I know your kids are studying in the US.

Everything will be cleared if you tell me the truth.

I'll give you the position abroad...

so that you can be with your family.

CEO Na's meeting Assemblyman Park's father today.

I need a recording of their conversation.

At the general meeting, I'll be appointed as the new CEO.

Really?

That's right.

Principal Kim Sang Ho's a strong contender.

It's highly unlikely that he'll have enough votes.

I see.

That's because you don't know about Mama's casting vote.

You should think about it.

Once I'm CEO,

I'll hold the executives accountable for...

anything they did wrong.

I still don't understand what you mean.

Let me clear it up for you.

Tell me the truth right now...

and I won't ask the police to launch an investigation.

If you don't,

I'll immediately...

ask them to look into who recorded the conversation here.

Will you be okay with that?

I don't know anything so why are you doing this to me?

Are you a gangster?

What does that mean?

Gangsters prioritize loyalty over principle.

How cruel it may be,

they even kill for the sake of staying loyal.

On that side, you'll only meet your demise.

Mr Choi,

how certain are you that you're doing the right thing?

I don't know anything.

Once proven,

you'll be punished for illegal recording of conversations.

I still don't understand what you're talking about.

Fine. I'm done talking then.

Eat the sushi and leave.

I'll give you an hour to reconsider.

If I don't hear anything from you.

I will call the police.

I'm not hungry, Sir.

I will be leaving now.

I'll do my best, Ma'am.

Ma'am, have you had lunch?

Could we...

talk?

About what?

How long will you give me the cold shoulder?

This is getting old.

Can't you understand...

why Sang Ho and I had to say...

that we're cousins?

Why is it so hard for you to believe me?

Listen carefully,

The Na Sun Young you knew doesn't exist any more.

So unless it's about work, don't stop me for a chat.

I get it.

What you're saying...

is that I'm a poor orphan...

and too under-educated...

to even speak to you...

right?

That's not the issue and you know it.

Your dirty way of blaming others for what you did wrong won't...

work with me any more.

Dirty?

In a few days, you'll be stripped of your position,

divorced and nothing but a sad old lady.

Na Sun Young,

I'll gladly witness your life turn to dust.

- How did it go with Min Soo? - It was just as expected.

He asked if I planted a recorder in that room...

and threatened to call the police.

What?

I don't know how, but he has proof that I was there that day.

If the police investigates,

you should lay low for a while.

Wouldn't that be an admission of guilt?

You're right,

but an investigation won't do us any good.

Just wait until I become CEO.

Then I'll claim that we took care of it internally.

Yes, Sir.

Also,

if by any chance the police arrests you,

don't forget to say that you acted alone.

Of course, Sir.

Don't worry. I'll have you out on bail immediately.

Your family will also be taken care of.

I trust you with my life, Sir.

Good.

I should lay low until you're appointed as...

the new CEO then.

Don't you worry about a thing. Okay?

Yes, Sir.

Also...

if there's an emergency...

call this number.

My cousin will help you out.

Yes, Sir.

It's Na Min Soo.

- Answer him. - Sure.

Your hour is up.

I'm innocent.

All right then.

You leave me no choice.

What did he say?

He'll request an official investigation.

That annoying brat.

- You should go then. - Yes, Sir.

Is this the Yeongdeungpo Police Station?

The case we talked about the other day.

I'd like it to be investigated.

Kim Sang Ho,

I'm done letting things slide.

Watch how I cut off your tail.

An investigation?

Why that little...

Hide all you want.

It won't save you, you fool.

I asked the police to officially investigate the case.

Good. I should call an executive meeting...

and tell the board about the investigation.

Of course.

The culprit behind it will be surprised.

I see it's all good.

Did you know that Mama's have been...

purchasing Papa Group's shares quite aggressively?

- Mama's? - That's right.

The general meeting will soon take place.

Your father's resigning,

so a new CEO will be appointed.

They're trying to cast a vote.

As your rival,

they may want to appoint someone they're in bed with.

Still, they won't be able to buy that many shares.

I'm keeping my eye on them, but you never know.

Eun Hee.

It must be urgent for you to have called me.

Yes, it is.

Shortly, I'll be tied up in a contingency meeting.

Is there something you need my help with?

Who are you planning to vote for CEO?

My brother if possible.

There are a few other candidates...

and Sang Ho is one of them.

I see.

Mama's might be trying to vote for someone other than your brother.

You're right.

I didn't think of that, but I should look into it.

Do you have enough votes?

I think we do.

You never know.

If your stock price somehow drops lower,

it'll be easier for adversaries to buy them.

You can't be too sure.

Of course. We'll look into it.

Good.

Here's a list of our minor shareholders.

I think you'll recognise some of them.

They're in your line of business.

I see.

I didn't know that the owner of Hanil Wedding was a shareholder.

- He is. - I see.

He'll probably listen to whatever it is I say.

- I'll talk to him. - Great.

Also,

Kang Young Hee and Park Ha Jin are in your line of work too.

I don't know Ms Park personally,

but I can ask around.

Could you make them your priority this week?

Ask them to attend the general meeting...

and vote for me as CEO.

Sure. I'll try to be persuasive.

Okay,

Is your father busy?

He's probably talking with...

his secretaries about the meeting.

I see. I'll just stop by Sun Young's office then.

Okay.

- I'll call you later. - Sure.

- Bye. - See you.

- Sun Young. - Eun Hee!

- Mr Oh, you're here too. - Hi, Eun Hee.

I know you've been working together, but this is a surprise.

He comes by often.

I see. Well, Min Soo asked for me to send me on a mission.

Have a seat and stay for tea.

Aren't I interrupting your meeting?

We were almost done anyway.

I see.

I've never been in your office before.

- You look quite intimidating. - Do I?

Could you bring me a cup of tea?

Here you go.

Stop giving me these for free. You'll have none left to sell.

I promised you that I'd take care of your health.

Okay.

You look different now that you're your own boss.

Being in charge of my own store...

has changed my perspective.

Of course.

I can only imagine how hard it must be to run a conglomerate.

Tell me about it.

I'm sure things are hectic for Min Soo's father.

You know,

I think it's because of Kim Sang Ho.

Something just doesn't feel right and it's making me anxious.

- Really? - Yes.

I also feel like the recent incidents at Papa...

is all a result of something that prick cooked up.

That obnoxious pig has no chance though.

Years of showing generosity will not fail the CEO.

I'm sure he'll get out of this mess.

Of course.

You are helping Sun Young, right?

I don't know if it's enough, but I'm trying my best.

He's a huge help.

I'm glad that you're here supporting her through this.

Really?

We agreed to go on an autumn picnic,

but we actually never went.

We had more pressing issues to address.

Once this is over, it'll probably be winter.

Let's go and watch the snow then.

We'll get together when the first snow falls.

I'll bring Sun Young out.

The first snow?

Shouldn't you enjoy it with Min Soo?

He's more than welcome.

Okay, sounds good.

The four of us will meet when the first snow falls.

I should get going now.

I'll leave the two of you to talk.

We have things to talk about anyway.

Sure.

- I'll see you around. - Take care.

Here's what you asked for.

Is this really a recording device?

Yes, no one will suspect anything from its looks.

It can record up to 48 hours at once.

The battery lasts long so put it wherever you want.

Okay, thanks.

Why do you...

need this though?

I want to find out the relationship between...

Sang Ho and Da Hee.

I see.

It will be launched soon.

I need 21 percent of the shares.

Currently, I'm at 15 percent.

Secure the remaining 6 to 7 percent,

and I'll hand over our trade secrets.

If the share price drops, it won't be that hard.

Good.

I'm sorry for being late.

Before the meeting commences,

CEO Na will state his formal resignation.

I, Na Dae Ki, am stepping down as CEO...

before the upcoming general meeting.

Until the general meeting is held,

co-chairmen of the contingency committee,

major shareholders Na Min Soo and Na Sun Young,

will serve as interim CEO of Papa Group.

I hope it works.

Use this to finally escape from Sang Ho,

and to make him not tell a single lie again.

All charges of my illegal conducts...

will be proven innocent in court.

We now have proof that there is...

a whistleblower among our ranks...

and the search for the culprit has begun.

There will be an official investigation...

and I advise every employee including those on the board...

to fully offer their cooperation.

That'll be all.

See? Look at Director Park.

I still think it was him.

Thank you for everything, Sir.

Those who kiss up to your father like that...

should be the ones to be aware of.

Don't blindly accuse people.

I don't find him suspicious at all.

I secretly investigated him...

and you wouldn't believe what I found.

Stop accusing him.

You trust him but not your husband?

How could you?

Once Mama's release their new snack,

Papa Group will be shaken to the core once more,

so be like that all you want.

Are you Kim Sang Ho?

I am.

I'm from the Yeongdeungpo Police Department.

I'd like to ask you a few questions.

During office hours?

It won't take long. Only five minutes.

You do know I'm a busy man, right?

Would you prefer being questioned in the hallway?

Follow me.

Ask away.

I'm afraid I don't have time to sit down.

I'm here to see Choi Choong Bok,

but he suddenly went on a business trip.

You know how busy employees of the sales division are.

Everyone I asked mentioned that you were closest to him.

I've been fond of him ever since he was a new recruit.

So what's this about?

I've been trying to locate Mr Choi,

but he's not answering his phone and apparently not at his desk.

I came to you...

since I was already here.

Do you suspect him of any legal activities?

No, he's more like...

a witness.

Although, who knows what I'll unfold.

I see.

He's probably too busy to answer your call.

I'm sure he'll call back once he finds the time.

All right.

Goodbye.

Sun Young,

Sang Ho has registered as a candidate for the CEO position.

Really? And who else?

For now, it's just me and him.

Mr Oh mentioned earlier...

that Mama's have been aggressively buying our shares.

Really?

I asked him to look into it,

but we need to be more thorough.

I'm going over the list of shareholders as we speak.

I'll do my best as well.

We have enough votes for you to be appointed,

but who know what tricks Sang Ho has up his sleeves.

You're absolutely right.

Now that you've made your candidacy official,

you can openly meet with the shareholders.

Min Soo.

I heard you requested an investigation.

I did.

Why target Choi Choong Bok or all people?

His car was the only one there.

Who would be stupid enough to use their own car for the job?

Would you have been that idiotic and careless?

Even a kid would know better.

Maybe Mr Choi isn't so bright...

when it comes to espionage,

despite what the person pulling the strings thinks.

So he was following orders?

We'll see once the police completes their thorough investigation.

I knew you were incompetent,

but now you're making the employees nervous...

by conducting a pointless witch hunt.

There is no need to be nervous if you are innocent.

You have no right to be CEO.

Withdraw your candidacy and back me up instead.

It's what's best for the company.

That's what I want to say to you.

Between the two of us, I'm the one who's more worthy.

We'll see about that.

Hello?

Ms Shin? This is Choi Choong Bok.

Principal Kim told me to report to this number.

He says you shouldn't worry and stay well hidden.

Yes, of course.

If by any chance you're caught...

Yes?

Don't forget to confess that you acted alone.

Just please look after my children.

Don't worry.

Once Sang Ho's CEO, he'll post bail and...

take care of your children.

Yes, of course.

Thank you.

Why am I in the middle of this?

What if I'm accused aiding and abetting?

Boss!

- How's the work coming along? - We're right on schedule.

As team leader, Mr Lee does his job perfectly.

This was a gift, so share it.

- Thank you. - Thank you!

- My gosh. - Look.

- Let's take a break. - Sounds good.

Min Soo.

Did you meet with them?

Yes, they're all on board.

You don't need to worry.

Someone also offered to introduce me to Ms Park.

That's great.

I'm off shortly so I'll see you at home.

Okay.

Yeo Jin, you love strawberries. Here you go.

Thank you.

Sir, I love strawberries too.

Do you? Well, there's a whole pile here.

I personally don't like them, but women seem to love it.

So you gave that to her because you didn't want it?

Yes, I don't like strawberries.

So that's why.

What fruit do you like then?

Figs. I love figs.

Fig? Of course. They're delicious!

I love figs too.

It's a great cure for haemorrhoids.

Haemorrhoids? You have haemorrhoids?

Yes, a lot of people suffer from them.

What's going on? Why aren't you eating?

Who cares. That's more for me.

There's a lot left. I should pack some for No Ma.

It's really good.

- Please enjoy. - Thanks.

- I brought you some tea. - Thanks.

You must be exhausted...

with everything going on with Sang Ho and at the office.

I'm all right.

You should now prepare yourself for the trial...

and focus on our scholarship foundation.

It's been your dream job anyway.

That's right.

I will, once the general meeting is over.

Okay.

Min Soo and I will do our best,

so don't worry too much.

How's it going with Sang Ho?

I want a divorce,

but he won't agree to it.

I see.

I'll deal with the company...

and then talk to the kids.

Once everything's cleared up, I'll file for divorce.

All right.

I'm sorry to disappoint you. There's only doenjang jjigae today.

That's more than enough.

You must be exhausted.

It's like a war zone every day.

- You know... - Yes?

Sun Young asked me to bring her a small recording device.

What?

I told Jin Ho and he got it for me.

I gave it to Sun Young earlier today.

What does she need that for?

She's been...

imagining all sorts of things ever since she found out the truth...

about Sang Ho and Da Hee.

She wants to find out what is going on between hem.

I can't believe she has to do this.

Every thing he says is a lie and he won't even divorce her.

Her lawyer told her that...

she'll need hard evidence to win in court.

It must kill her to stoop this low.

Imagine being in her shoes.

Living with a husband you can't trust...

must be torture.

She has the company to worry about too.

I know.

Maybe we should move in with my family.

Would that honestly bring her comfort though?

I'm sure she'll be grateful...

to have you by her side.

I'll think about it.

Sun Young and I will discuss it again.
