Mermaid Prince Episode 24 Final Episode

Muxin.

Madam.

Xida.

You’re leaving hospital? Isn’t it tomorrow?

I’m bored to stay in hospital.

I’d rather go back with Muxin.

I come to see you before I leave.

Are you alright?

Don’t worry.

When the doctor inspected me,

he said he had never seen a patient like me

who got recovered so fast.

I’m glad you’re fine.

Xida.

I’ll go back with my mother.

I’ll come back to see you later.

Don’t rush. Take your time.

We gotta go.

Fine.

Bye-bye.

-Bye-bye. -Bye-bye.

Come on.

Have a try.

This is the sweet and sour pork

you loved most.

I made the whole table of dishes

for you.

You still remember my favorite dishes.

I never forgot that.

This is so unfair, Dad.

All are Mom’s favorite dishes.

If I knew,

I would stay in hospital and have a packed dinner with Xida.

He’s kidding.

No. No. No.

I know he’s serious.

Come on.

Have some pork.

Some for your mother and some for you.

I’m fair, then, aren’t I?

Come on and have dinner.

Let’s enjoy ourselves.

I’m glad Xida got recovered

and came back to us.

Seeing all of us,

I feel touched.

Anyway, I don’t have many days

to spend with you as your captain.

Captain, you’re really quitting?

I’ll work till the end of this month.

Then I’m leaving.

Will Song Mi and Jiang Kai

leave with you?

Song Mi has found a job in the city.

I used to worry about Jiang Kai.

Now he can work alone.

I should no longer restrain him

and let him walk his own way.

What about you? Have you got a new job?

A hotel in the city saw

the advisement of our resort.

They think I’m a merman

and want me to be the lifeguard.

Seems like

our promotion of merman

was a success.

Unfortunately, Captain will leave.

Seems like I’ll be the most handsome man

in our rescue team.

Xida will be.

You won’t.

Captain.

I’ll guard this beach

on behalf of you.

Welcome back and check.

I don’t need to check.

I know you’ll do a great job.

But you still need

a captain.

Xida.

You’ll be the captain.

Hope you’ll guard the beach carefully.

Xida, what are you waiting for?

Captain gave the order.

No problem, Captain.

I won’t let you down.

Come on!

Cheers!

Captain, hope everything goes smoothly!

Thank you.

Captain, wish you and your girlfriend

get married

and have a baby!

Thank you.

Soon, you’ll receive

our wedding invitation.

You must all come.

Xu Liu, what are you crying for?

When I think

our good captain will leave,

I can’t help crying.

Youqi.

Be happy. Come on. Cheers.

-Cheers, everybody. -Cheers.

Cheers. Cheers.

Jimmy said

Jiang Kai’s cocktail show is starting.

-Jiang Kai! Jiang Kai! -Jiang Kai!

Jiang Kai! Jiang Kai! Jiang Kai!

This is the cocktail I mixed,

Skyrocket.

-Come on. Cheers. -Cheers, everybody.

-Cheers. Cheers. -Cheers.

-Cheers. Cheers. -Come on.

Come on.

Tastes good. I like it.

Does it taste good?

It’s the best cocktail I’ve tried.

Is it true?

Jiang Kai, it’s true.

You’ll skyrocket

just like the cocktail.

-Yes, yes! -Thank you, Muxin.

Jiang Ze, don’t lose to Jiang Kai.

Live ever happily with Song Mi.

-Yeah. -Yes. Be sweet.

The same to you.

Live a happy life with Xida

and keep looking for the big fish.

What big fish?

Merman.

Jimmy, you have shiny eyes, too.

You’re a merman, too, right?

Jimmy.

-Cheers. Cheers. -Cheers.

-Come on. Be careful. -Be careful.

Be careful.

Why did she drink so much?

-Come on. -You drank too much, Muxin.

Come on.

-Be careful. -Come on.

Be careful.

I’m not drunk. I can drink more.

Fine.

-You’ve drunk enough. -Jimmy.

Have some rest.

Mom.

I’m so happy today.

I know you’re happy.

Have a good rest. Come on.

Madam, do you need any help?

Don’t bother. I’ll take care of her.

Go back for sleep.

Okay.

Thank you.

Bye-bye.

Bye-bye.

Recruitment for Rescue Team

Apply for the rescue team?

Come on. This way.

Recruitment for Rescue Team

Good.

You’re in good shape.

All right. Go get prepared over there.

Okay. Okay.

Go get prepared over there.

Hello. This is mine.

-Xida, come with me. -Okay.

-I have something important to tell you. -Go get prepared over there.

Xu Liu, take care of this.

-Okay. No problem. -Come with me.

What happened?

Why did you want me so hurriedly?

Xida.

Yesterday, Professor Cui texted me,

saying his research team found a sailor.

That sailor

worked with your father.

Is that true?

Yes. The sailor said

your father served as a doctor

on the boat he worked for.

They knew each other at work.

Did he know my mother?

In a shipwreck,

your mother saved your father.

They stayed and fell in love with each other.

After they were back in China, they got married.

Where are they now?

He said he and your father mailed to each other

a couple of years ago.

At that time, they lived

in Lishui Village in the southwest.

Lishui Village?

Since we know this,

let’s go there and have a look.

But I must finish

the recruitment thing.

Don’t worry.

Xu Liu and Youqi will take care of it.

Get in the car.

Seems like the road ends here.

Shall we walk there?

Okay. It’s near.

Let’s park the car here.

Okay.

Go.

Be careful.

Be careful.

What’s the smell? So good.

Smells like that in my dream.

Let’s go and have a look.

Be careful.

I didn’t expect to see such a beautiful place

in the mountains.

Air here feels similar

to me.

It makes me feel comfortable

and warm.

So magic.

Maybe it’s because

you’ll see your families soon.

Perhaps.

Xida, there’re people over there.

They may be local villagers.

Let’s go and ask them.

-Okay. -Go.

Yes. This is Doctor An.

The grass we stand on

is where Mrs. An loved

before she died.

She and her husband

often sat here

for the whole day.

Where are they now?

Could you lead us to them?

You come late.

They’re gone.

Excuse me.

This is Xida.

He might be Doctor An’s son.

We took great trouble to come here.

Could you tell us more

about Doctor An?

You’re Doctor An’s son?

Nice to meet you.

You should have told me earlier.

Doctor An is a great man.

When he was here,

he took care

of all villagers.

He often treated us for free.

So was Mrs. An.

They both kept a low profile

and wanted nothing in return.

Turns out

my parents kept helping others.

Mrs. An was weak.

Then she got a strange disease.

Even Doctor An couldn’t help her.

Doctor An saved other people,

but failed to save his own wife.

After Mrs. An died,

Doctor An was extremely sad

and deeply grieved.

He buried her in the grass.

Every day, he came to visit her and clean the tomb.

Then, Doctor An suddenly disappeared.

No one found him.

Someone thought

he also died

because he was too depressed.

It’s understandable.

Doctor An loved his wife

so much.

When I bury you in your favorite flower field,

you’ll no longer suffer from disease.

But you leave me alone.

How can I live a life

without you?

Oh,

his house was still there.

Would you like to visit it?

Here it is.

You can show yourselves around.

-Thank you. -Thank you.

You’re welcome.

Let’s get in and have a look.

Xida.

Do you remember when we went back to the orphanage,

the director gave you a key?

It’s open.

February 8

I think

it’s your father’s diary.

On February 8,

we ran into a snowstorm and had a cold.

I accidentally fell into the sea off the deck.

When I was dying,

I saw a girl with a tail

swimming to me

and got me back to the boat.

On October 19,

I met a girl with special eyes.

She’s got beautiful eyes.

At first sight,

I found her familiar.

But I didn’t remember

where I met her before.

She was silent.

When I introduced myself to her,

she always listened quietly

and smiled gently.

From her shiny eyes,

I saw the pureness I had rarely seen.

She made me

feel more peaceful and energetic than ever.

This is the last page.

She always listened quietly and smiled gently...

Xida, are you disappointed?

I am, honestly.

After all the trouble, we came here

and found where my father lived.

But we still can’t prove

my mother’s identity.

Does it really matter

if your mother is a mermaid?

You always want to know if I’m a merman,

don’t you?

You’re who you are.

No matter if you’re a merman,

I like you.

But look at your father.

He saved people in a remote village,

instead of living a rich life as a doctor.

It’s the kindness of doctors, I guess.

Not only doctors,

we can also save people

with help of the rescue team.

We’re now Merman Rescue Team.

We can use

its reputation

to encourage people

to respect creatures in nature.

Yeah.

Why didn’t I think of that?

It’s so smart of you.

Xida.

What’s wrong?

Xida.

The earthquake is coming. Go!

That was close.

Luckily, you had an acute sixth sense

and we escaped.

Wait.

Only mermen have such acute sixth sense.

So, you’re indeed a merman.

Why are you still thinking about that?

I’m not.

Well,

if you’re a real merman,

I’ll love you more.

Look at you.

I love you.

I’ll always love you.

Muxin.

Thank you for coming with me.

We didn’t find out who my mother was.

But we found my father’s diary.

I feel more relieved.

That’s good, then.

No matter how far it is,

I’ll go with you.

Muxin, I must tell you before anyone else!

I’m finally pregnant.

I’m going to be a mother!

The praying ceremony to get a baby

really works!

I’m so grateful to you.

What happened?

Look.

The baby of Helen and her husband.

Awesome!

She must be happy.

Sure.

When we go back,

I’ll call her for congratulation.

Do you like a son or a daughter?

Either.

Well,

let’s have a son and a daughter.

But I want to work hard in the rescue team

and guard the beach

when I’m still young.

I don’t want a baby at such a young age.

Wait.

Are you proposing to me?

I’m not.

I don’t want Mr. Shen to beat me.

Uh,

how would you like me to propose to you?

In a simple way.

I don’t need a diamond ring

or going down on one knee.

All I want is a true heart.

We think alike.

Well, I make it simple for you.

But don’t do it carelessly.

All right. I see.

Come on.

Let’s enjoy our future together,

my Mermaid Princess.

Future?

I always believe

there’s a magic power between people.

It brings

two parallel lines

together.

Just like Xida and me.

No matter who Xida is,

I’ll cherish every day

we spend together.

You’re leaving?

Come back again when you have time.

Bye-bye.

-Bye-bye. -Bye-bye. Bye-bye.

See you.

See you.
