A Love So Romantic

Episode 3

Love under the sun and within a drumstick

Yunxin Hall

Mr. Yanxi,

I invited you here today

to ask you something.

Recently Commandery Prince Mansion

invited all jewellers

to submit designs of a tiara

for the commandery prince's sister,

the current Noble Consort,

as her birthday present.

Mr. Yanxi,

do you think

we should take part in it?

Of course.

With the Gu family's capability,

if we miss such an important deal,

we will be underestimated by others.

Yes.

Moreover,

commandery prince is close to the Emperor.

If we can build up a good relationship with him,

we might be able to secure the order

of jewelry in Imperial Household Department next year.

This is a great opportunity.

How can the Gu family miss it?

Oh.

That's right.

-Come on, sir. -Buy a purse.

Fine wine for sale.

My brother is not a normal person.

Since you're involved in his deal,

you'll surely make a profit.

Humph!

If you didn't say your brother

knew where Gu Mansion's treasure was hidden,

Hui wouldn't have worked with you.

You're the ones

that will make a profit.

Stop talking nonsense to her.

Stop wasting our time.

Show us the way.

I'll see what you will do when you see the officers.

Humph!

Yunxin Hall

Mr. Yanxi,

I'll prepare a horse for you.

It's all right.

I'll walk back.

Have a safe trip, Mr. Yanxi.

All right.

How about this?

Tell us the location.

I'll get my buddies

to bring your brother over here.

This is not appropriate.

The place is kind of discreet.

It's hard to find.

I don't think so.

Miss, I think

you're trying to trick us.

Hui,

you sound like I'm an outsider.

Trust is crucial in a collaboration,

right?

I agree that trust is crucial.

Tell me.

Where's your brother?

Su Xiaowan!

Brother!

Mr. Yanxi,

save me.

Su Xiaowan,

what's going on?

Mr. Yanxi,

settle these crooks first

and I'll explain to you.

Stop nagging!

Are you

her brother?

Brother.

These ignorant guys

are targeting the Gu family.

They want to compete with us.

Do they?

Let's see if they're capable of that.

Charge!

Move over.

Hui,

the brat is great.

How dare you guys

misbehave before my brother.

Leave if you want to live!

Little girl,

you underestimated me, Scar Hui.

Move over!

Move over!

Move over!

Teach them a lesson!

Mr. Yanxi,

what should we do now?

We've got no choice.

Run.

What?

They want to escape.

Stop!

Stop running!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop running!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Stop!

Get him!

Stop!

Over there!

Hurry up!

Hurry up!

Follow them!

Go in!

Stop!

Get them!

Hurry up!

Go up!

Come down!

Come down!

Stop!

Stop!

Still trying to escape?

What should we do?

Where do you think you're going?

Mr. Gu.

Mr. Gu?

He's not Mr. Gu.

Stop pretending.

If my buddy didn't recognise you,

you'd have escaped.

This is great.

Charge!

Don't you dare to come over!

Humph!

A broken umbrella?

That's right.

A broken umbrella.

Gu Yanxi,

do you trust me?

No.

You have no choice now.

What are you doing?

I'm flying with you.

Let's go.

Jump!

Get them!

Ah!

Oh no!

Get them!

Yes!

Mr. Yanxi,

get into the dye vat!

Get in!

What about you?

I have my own way.

Where are they?

Where are they?

Hui!

Oh no, Hui.

The officers are coming our way.

Hui,

we've drawn unwanted attention.

Why don't we...

Why don't we retreat first?

Retreat!

Let's go!

Come on.

Mr. Yanxi.

Mr. Yanxi.

They're gone.

Mr. Yanxi.

You look different.

Mr. Yanxi,

we should go now.

It'll be bad if they return.

Humph!

Mr. Yanxi,

I wasn't the one

that got those people here today.

Stop talking, Su Xiaowan!

Whenever I bump into you,

my clothes are all messed up.

Please stay away from me.

Mr. Yanxi.

Stop following me.

He just got a bit friendly.

Why has he become Mr. Long Face again?

The Best Treatment Centre In The World

Sir,

did you see Xiao'an?

Xiao'an.

Sister.

Are you tired?

No.

Zhuque Street

Look.

I think that's Mr. Yanxi of the Gu family.

Why is he all dirty today?

Yanxi?

It's indeed you, Yanxi.

You...

Shengbao Hall

Physician Ru.

What a coincidence.

Today, you look

rather special.

I

encountered a minor incident.

Oh.

I have something on. I'll leave now.

Wait.

My treatment centre is right in front.

Why don't you go there to clean yourself first?

I'll leave the clothes here.

I'll get someone

to get hot water for you.

All right.

If that's the case,

that guy is indeed Ye.

The jade pendant is the proof.

He must be.

It's a pity that he doesn't remember

what happened when we were young.

Even if he doesn't,

you can tell him.

Tell him?

I'll tell you a story.

Go on.

I'm listening.

A long, long time ago,

there's a little girl.

Her mother was critically ill.

She told her,

"It's a pity that I didn't get to see you getting married.

How I wish I could see you getting married."

Therefore,

she racked her brains

and finally figured out a solution.

What was it?

She found a forest.

She wanted to get a husband.

Therefore,

she kept looking.

She bumped into a little boy who got lost.

So she told the little boy,

"As long as you marry me,

I'll bring you to where you wanted to go."

Later, she brought

the little boy home.

Yes.

Next,

are you going to say

that the little girl

was you

and that the little boy

was me?

What if it's true?

It's indeed you.

I've been looking for you for so long.

I've been waiting for you.

Me, too.

Great.

Dear,

do you see that?

Dear,

what do I see?

Our bright future.

Yes.

Sister,

what are you doing?

Sister,

you've lost a lot of weight recently.

Is the work tiring?

Of course the work is tiring,

but I have it easy compared to others.

Other servants clean and cook,

while I only have to serve Mr. Yanxi

alone.

So she indeed has a brother.

I misunderstood her.

The son of a wealthy family

must be bad-tempered.

Are you bullied?

Mr. Yanxi treats me really well.

He doesn't want me to do the chores.

He occasionally asks me to clean his room

and prepare ink for him.

Does he have

special feelings for you?

No.

I did him a favour earlier on.

He thinks I'm smart

and wants to groom me.

He even taught me calligraphy a few days ago.

I see.

Mr. Gu,

Physician Ru invited you to the front hall.

Noted.

All right.

Mr. Yanxi.

He's Mr. Yanxi that you mentioned?

Yes.

Greetings, Mr. Yanxi.

Are you

Xiao'an?

Mr. Yanxi, do you know me?

Your sister mentioned you to me.

My sister told me a lot

about you just now.

Thank you for treating my sister well.

I'm grateful to you.

Hey.

Don't mention it.

Pardon me, Mr. Yanxi.

You don't have to thank me.

Your sister indeed has great potential.

Physician Ru and I have things to discuss.

I'll make a move first.

Mr. Yanxi, have a safe trip.

Okay.

Sister,

Mr. Yanxi is a friendly guy.

He is.

The Best Treatment Centre In The World

Physician Ru,

this is the payment for Xiao'an's treatment last month.

Please pass it to the cashier.

Hey,

there's no rush,

all right?

What?

There's no rush?

You're from Gu Mansion.

Yanxi and I are friends.

That makes us friends, too.

Friends should not talk about money.

Feel free to pay me

any amount.

Physician Ru,

you've done me a huge favour.

I won't forget it even if I sell my teeth.

What?

You mean you're grateful?

It's more or less the same meaning.

It's the same.

Got it.

Got it.

If you don't leave now,

you'll have to climb over the wall yourself.

What?

Wait.

Hey,

Mr. Yanxi, wait for me!

Physician Ru,

I'll visit you later.

Sure.

Mr. Yanxi,

are you still mad?

What do you think?

Mr. Yanxi,

I know I left the mansion without your permission

and stirred troubles.

It's indeed my fault.

Mr. Yanxi, please show some mercy

and let it slide.

It's not worth it if your health is affected.

Don't think you can escape the punishment

by flattering me.

Mr. Yanxi, as long as you allow me to stay,

I'll do whatever you want.

Whatever I want?

That's right.

Whatever you want.

I should figure out what you should do.

What?

I...

I was just being polite.

Follow me.

Oh.

Yes.

Gu Mansion

This is the payment for my grandmother and Su Xiaowan's brother.

Pass it to Physician Ru Ying.

Yes, Mr. Yanxi.

I heard Mr. Ziqian is returning to the mansion tomorrow.

So soon?

Mr. Ziqian is coming back.

Ye must be coming back, too.

I should dress up tomorrow

and visit the night market with Ye.

Xiwang Hall

Have you done what I told you to do?

The informant replied.

They're a group of rogues based in the east side of the city.

The one you bumped into last time

is their leader.

He's nicknamed Scar Hui.

The informant found out about their base.

I followed your instruction

and reported to the government office.

However, when officers got there,

Scar Hui was gone.

Yes, Mr. Yanxi.

Gu Mansion

Oh,

I've cleaned up the place.

I can see Ye now.

Hey.

Greetings, Mr. Yanxi.

Where are you going?

I've cleaned up the place.

I repeat. Where are you going?

I washed the clothes

and categorised the books by the content.

The ink is ready.

I won't disturb your work tonight, Mr. Yanxi.

I'll make a move first.

Stop.

Bring me The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art.

The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art?

It's mathematics.

Mathematics?

Mr. Yanxi.

There you go.

The Nine Chapters on the Mathematical Art

Grind the ink.

Oh no.

Maybe I didn't eat enough.

I don't have energy.

Look, Mr. Yanxi,

I'll eat the remaining food at the kitchen.

Wait for me.

I'll be right back.

Come back.

Mr. Yanxi,

I really have something important to do today.

I need to go.

Isn't earning money to pay for Xiao'an's treatment

the most important thing for you to do right now?

Yes,

but I...

You chose to be a servant

at Gu Mansion.

Step out of this study today

and you can forget about asking for my help in the future.

You said you'd kick me out.

Now you're saying you want to help me.

Men are unpredictable.

What are you saying?

I mean you're right, Mr. Yanxi.

Mr. Yanxi,

can I leave after finishing my work?

Yes.

Enough.

Enough?

The ink is enough.

Stamp this pile of checked account books

with my personal seal.

He must be pranking me

as I made him jump into the dye vat.

Mr. Yanxi,

get into the dye vat.

Whenever I bump into you,

my clothes are all messed up.

Stay away from me.

Mr. Yanxi!

I saved him, didn't I?

He should repay me for my kindness instead.

Ms. Su.

What's it?

Thank you for saving my life.

As the saying goes,

one should be grateful for the kindness extended.

The clothes and jewelry

are my ways of expressing my gratitude.

I also get these for you.

It's a token of appreciation from me.

Please accept them, Ms. Su.

Mr. Gu,

you shouldn't have.

I can't accept these.

200 mu of land in the east of the city,

a fine mansion in the west of the city,

a jeweller, Yunxin Hall,

ten bun shops,

1,000 candied fruit

and 10,000 pieces of sweet osmanthus cake.

As long as these are stamped with my personal seal,

these

will all be yours, Ms. Su.

Please accept these

or I'll be sad.

Well,

I have no choice but to accept them then.

Su Xiaowan,

what are you doing?

Mr. Yanxi,

I didn't mean it.

Do you know what I'm asking you to sort out?

General Accounts Bureau will check business tax tomorrow.

We must present all accounts

of the Gu family's business clearly

or we'll have violated the law.

Mr. Yanxi,

can I do anything to salvage this?

Mr. Yanxi, look.

This figure

minus this figure.

I think the total is

this figure.

Can you do the accounts?

No.

I sell flowers and do grocery shopping.

I deal with money every day.

I become sensitive to figures as time goes on.

You're money-minded.

Come on.

Check this.

I'll check this.

We'll cross-check them.

Oh.

All right.
