SERAFINA: Angels?

If Asriel has angels on his side, he can do anything.

I will bring Asriel back and destroy the Magisterium together.

We must find Lyra.

We want to hurt you.

SCREECH

JOPARI: Do you think you can fly through it?

Just make yourself comfortable, Mr Jopari.

WILL: Ask the alethiometer where my father is.

He's in this world.

My job is to help Will find his father.

SERAFINA: Our task is to protect you, Lyra.

We will help you find Will's father.

Can you stay for a bit? Look after us?

I've been sent here to do something important.

We'll be fine.

We've got each other.

Wait!

I'll bring you to your adults.

BOREAL: We can't go after them. MRS COULTER: We have to.

BOREAL: How do you control them?

MRS COULTER: Well, they consume what makes us human,

so I just...

..hid that from them.

Boreal, I don't need you.

You would only hold me back.

It would have been so much easier if you'd told me about Lyra

when you first had her.

FRA PAVEL: I've discovered the girl has another name.

The witches know it from a prophecy. It's heresy, beyond doubt.

What is the child's name?

Fra Pavel has brought me information of a threat so grave in nature,

we will do whatever is necessary.

We have sent troops through the anomaly.

GUNSHOT

HESTER: The gas canister!

LENA: She's coming back to us.

REINA GASPS

When they had hold of me...

..I felt numb

and so cold.

Life or death meant nothing.

Just rest.

Stay calm. Give yourself a chance to heal.

You're not safe here.

You can leave us.

No, Lyra. We won't do that.

But, Will, once we've found your father, we must leave this world.

Let's hope we find him fast.

Your knife frightened them.

It frightens everyone.
