The Plough Department Of Song Dynasty

Episode 18

I have found out

that Meng Dong is

the grandson of Yan Zheng who had been executed.

So it's dangerous

since he concealed his identity

in front of us.

Your Majesty.

We cannot set off the fireworks.

Guard!

Imperial guard!

Protect His Majesty.

I have found out

that Meng Dong is the grandson of Yan Zheng

who had been executed.

So it's dangerous

since he concealed his identity

in front of us.

Are you okay?

It's fine.

Be careful!

Guru Demiao

You?

I mean

you?

No.

Not me.

If not,

what's this all about?

I don't know.

Assassin!

Let's protect His Majesty.

Come on!

Come to the rescue.

Hurry up!

Protect his Majesty.

Go!

My empress, are you alright?

It's you.

I never thought

finally I still have to see you in this way.

Yan Zheng is my grandfather.

So

you...

you reached me

just for...

Yeah.

I was taking advantage of you.

But it's fate

led me to you.

I had considered to close up shop

and return to my hometown with grandpa.

But the fact was I came back

only with his memorial tablet.

I... I hate the Plough Department.

I made my goal of revenge.

At that time,

Master Doumu found me.

Master Doumu?

Yes.

My grandpa

were working for him when he was alive.

Actually I knew who you really are.

The odd manufactures you consigned me to produce

attracted me to check your information.

My goal was to win

your trust

and your dependence.

Then we could make the fireworks together.

I just need to made some tricks in fireworks.

It's hard for you and your Department

to escape responsibility of damages in imperial court.

Unfortunately,

neither Master Doumu

nor me,

had counted on

one detail yet.

What's that?

I fell in love with you.

I can't nor do I wanna hurt you.

So I changed the plan.

Instead of the tricks in firework,

I pretended to be master Doumu,

command Demiao to assassinate the emperor

for my revenge.

Because of you,

I failed to revenge

for my grandpa.

But his last wish should be accomplished by me.

I must kill the emperor.

I knew,

such move

whether succeed or not,

There's no way I can leave here alive.

But I want you to see

the fireworks we made together,

especially the one we called it

"Perfect Match".

Don't you remember it?

It's mine. Give it to me.

No way.

I won't give it back.

Get it back.

Get it back.

Nope. Nope.

Give me.

My wooden horse.

Let her go!

Who are you?

How dare you!

You bastard.

Five boys bully a little girl.

Beat him.

Yeah.

Beat him.

Here you go.

Don't cry.

Meeting you

is the luckiest thing

ever happened to me.

Yaoguang

Are you alright?

It's okay.

It's my fault

to let assassin

get the access by chance.

Forgive me, Your Majesty.

How dare you!

I always treated you so well.

But you try to regicide

with your evil motives.

Your Majesty,

I promise there is no doubt of my loyalty.

It's hard for me presuppose all the risks.

Demiao,

You're our savior, right?

It's easy for you

to know all the things

in the past and even future.

Why you failed this time?

You...

Your majesty

It's hard to foresee

the scoundrel blended into my disciples.

So I didn't practice divination

and get the result previously.

Your Majesty,

we had several discussions about religion.

There were so many chances for me

to do harm if I had the bad ambition.

How can I risk doing this?

Your Majesty,

I almost lost my own life.

Please see the truth, Your Majesty.

The truth

won't change just because of your words.

I also won't judge this issue in a hurry.

All in all,

the Plough Department will take charge.

Stand up.

Your Majesty, thanks.

She conspired all this with the assassin.

Your Majesty,

the assassin Meng Dong had

told the truth before he died

that he is the grandson of the culprit Yan Zheng.

Also, he pointed out

both Demiao and Yan zheng

work for a so-called Master Doumu.

By great efforts of her,

he entered the court successfully.

You.

That's nonsense!

It seems that

you have a close relationship with him.

What you need is blaming me

in order to prove your righteous!

Your Majesty,

it's my great honor to draw inspiration

of doctrine and kindness devoutly.

I focus on moral cultivation

rather than evil character.

In other words,

if I'm determined to seek profits,

nowadays I serve Your Majesty

with great gratitude.

Why do I need to conspire with

others on evil things?

There's definitely no goods for me

to work for others.

She gets me wrong.

May I ask for an investigation, Your Majesty.

Full of lies!

Judge Dou Cheng from Court of Judicial review bow to Your Majesty.

Arise.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Your highness

May I state an important issue?

Speak.

That concerns the murder of Censor Zheng.

Why you notice

such an old case again?

Your Majesty,

A lot of evidence

points to Demiao directly.

In the joint trial,

Xue Liang suddenly pled guilty to all charges.

I thought something fishy

and made covert investigation in Taian.

Though you are cautious,

there was nothing you can meddle with

when you left Taian.

Then all your sins

exposed bit by bit.

I thought

it's a tough investigation at first.

However,

it's easy to

inquiry about all your crimes.

These medicines

are just something exotic

to relieve the pains temporarily.

But by doing this,

the best time for therapy is wasted.

As a result,

some patients died in misery without timely treatment.

How dare you acclaim you're righteous

and did nothing evil!

You have a murderous and merciless heart.

How dare you say you're kind!

You...

You...

You liar!

You set me up.

There's the statement and testimony.

Don't even try to deny it!

I came here with material evidences and witnesses

waiting outside for hearings.

Besides, how about the case of Censor Zheng?

A flawless plan, really?

Do you know Luo Dongshan?

Luo...

What about Luo Dongshan?

He is your lover who

died for you.

After his death, his troops ended up

living as thieves

and were caught by local officials.

They told everything you did

with Luo Dongshan to

murder Censor Zheng.

Right now,

they are under escort

from Taian to the capital city.

Please see the truth, your majesty.

Demiao,

now,

you're out of excuses?

No.

That's not true.

Not true.

Your Majesty.

It's not true!

Your Majesty.

Not me.

I

Come on.

Take her down.

It's my fault to be late.

Your Majesty,

how's it going?

How are you?

It's fine.

Your Highness,

is everything okay?

I'm fine.

You?

It's okay.

A poison needle.

Don't worry about it.

Take her down.

Go!

Protect His Majesty.

Protect His Majesty.

Assassins!

Assassins!

Your Majesty.

Catch the assassins!

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty.

Assassins!

They killed Concubine Shu and crown prince!

Also want me dead!

They are assassins.

Your Majesty, leave now!

We will block their way

whatever it takes!

Hurry up!

Let's go.

Protect His Majesty.

Protect His Majesty.

Block their way.

Protect His Majesty.

Hold on,

What wild eyes they have!

Come on! Get them!

That's illusion tricks.

Go!

Go!

I beg your Majesty's permission

to set off the fireworks.

What?

I

beg your Majesty's permission

to set off the fireworks.

Dongming said before

there are tricks inside

to hurt people.

He said that's just fireworks.

I believe him.

You...

Go ahead.

Thank you, your Highness.

In love

people easily get sick.

Your majesty,

please be careful.

Yes.

Yeah.

Meng Dong,

Let's enjoy our fireworks.

It's destiny brings us together

and let us know each other.

Fate will tell us

if we can meet again.

Since fate isn't all god's will

then I'll come more often,

to create more chances to see you.

For me, it's not important to

live a long life.

Instead, the experience of life really matters.

No matter what,

it's my greatest luck

to meet you.

I hope you'd go to the court,

or we could share the view together.

Don't worry.

We can make another one

just for ourselves.

H'm

You can call me Meng Dong,

may I ask your name?

I'm Qiao Yu.

Qiao as the woods in the mountain,

Yu as jade of morality.

Your Highness,

His Majesty is poisoned heavily.

Poisoned?

What do you mean?

Your Highness,

The pulse of His Majesty is

weak and fragile.

The irregular pulsation

feels like crackle.

That's...

Stop!

My apology, Your Highness.

Your Majesty,

please wake up.

Your Majesty.

Father.

Father.

That's the poison needle

shot by Demiao.

That's the poison.

Dongming?

Can you find a remedy?

Your Highness,

you can convene all the officials now.

You mean...

Though I have made overall research of medicine,

I only saw the poison "lost souls"

in my youth.

And

no remedy exists till now.

How much time does His Majesty has left?

I'm afraid

His Majesty will not wake up...

His Majesty

will not see another day.

What

My father.

Please wake up, father.

Father.

Father.

Father!

Father!

Now leave us.

May I excuse myself.

Take care, Your Highness.

My son,

Leave us.

I need to stay with

your father alone.

Minister Kang.

all ministers

are still waiting outside.

I know what I should do.

Dongming

is His Majesty

really...

really beyond remedy anyway?

Your Majesty!

Your Majesty!

Your Majesty!

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

How is His Majesty?

How is he?

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

Your Highness,

we need to calm them down.

It's not the time to announce

the illness of His majesty.

But some loyal officials need to

summoned into the court secretly

to stand by.

I'm

utterly confused.

and at a loss.

Minister Kang, I trust you to arrange everything.

Dongming,

Sir,

This...

Eunuch Zhou,

Eunuch Lei,

you take charge of the related issues.

There're things

need to be done.

I

want to stay with His Majesty to the end.

Eunuch Zhou,

only things are handled properly,

can His Majesty pass away in peace.

Eunuch Zhou,

that's right.

There we go.

Come on.

But...

Come on.

My Majesty,

in these years,

you have treated me well,

but I

have hidden something from you.

I always feel guilty.

How we meet

was set by my Master.

Approaching you

was a way to infiltrate in the imperial harem.

But...

why were you so good to me?

I was supposed

to sacrifice myself for

the great undertaking of the Master.

Yet in these years,

I worked hard,

made compromises

only to save your life.

But still

I failed to protect you.

Your Highness.

Where is Kaiyang?

She went to bury the corpse of Meng Dong.

Follow me.

We are a married couple

with the shared fortune.

They want your life and soul

then they have to walk over my dead body.

My love,

that's my own Natal vermin.

Now I cut it in half

and put one into your body.

to prolong your life.

From now on,

We are all bound together.

You live,

I live.

You die.

I follow.
