Mermaid Prince Episode 17

Is there anything on my face?

Some romance on your face.

What do you mean?

You never like sweet food.

But you just ate

the whole table of sweet food!

And you enjoyed that.

What changed you?

Sweet food tastes great.

It tastes great,

because of Song Mi, huh?

What are you trying to say?

What do you think of Song Mi?

She’s nice.

Her careful working attitude

is what I appreciate most.

That’s all?

Yes.

And you should go patrol along the beach.

Just go.

You want to bring Song Mi and Jiang Ze together?

Yeah. Don’t you think

they make a perfect match?

For her, Jiang Ze even made an exception

and ate some sweet food.

According to my intuition,

they’ll be together.

Well,

don’t get them wrong.

Or you’ll be embarrassed.

I don’t get them wrong.

I’m trying to help them.

Can you instruct me or not?

I often get choked.

You didn’t listen to me

and you would certainly get choked.

If Captain and Xida were here,

I wouldn’t have asked you for help!

You!

Madam Xiao has learned to swim for a while,

right?

Why hasn’t she learned it yet?

Youqi complained about her to me.

She is uncoordinated and disobedient.

But she puts the blame on the coach.

Of course she can’t learn to swim.

This is a test of Youqi’s patience.

She’s Chairwoman Xiao Bi

of Huawei Company, right?

Yes. When will we take action?

Don’t be anxious. I’ve got a way.

See the lifeguard beside her?

He’s Meng Youqi.

He was a friend of mine.

When he helps,

things will be simple.

I’m complaining about you.

Are you sick of living or what?

How dare you talk with my girlfriend?

She came to me.

What do you mean?

What do you want?

To have a word with you.

If you want a fight, bring it on.

Damn, you ask for your doom, huh?

Who are you?

Want to fight my buddy?

See if I agree.

Let’s wait and see!

When did you come out?

Why didn’t you tell me?

I could have picked you up.

I just came out.

Don’t mention the past.

Oh, thank you for that.

We’re buddies. You’re welcome.

Oh, let me introduce you.

This is Wang Jian.

We do business together lately.

Wang Jian.

This is Meng Youqi I told you.

He’s my good buddy.

Gao Si often told me about you.

He said you were loyal

and he would repay you when possible.

Let bygones be bygones.

After I was in prison,

I realized who was a real friend.

Fine. Let’s talk about now

instead of the past.

I’m doing jewelry business.

Chairman of Jewelry Company, Gao Si I sell precious jewelry.

Chairman of Jewelry Company, Gao Si

Chairman of Jewelry Company, Gao Si I need men I can trust.

Marvelous Jewelry.

This is our website,

selling valuable jewelry.

Marvelous Jewelry

If you’re interested, join us.

We can make money together.

Right?

I don’t know much about jewelry.

You don’t need to know much.

Well, I come

to find a new customer.

She lives in your resort.

As long as you recommend us to her,

so that we can do the business,

I’ll give you a big commission.

I don’t need money.

But I’ll try to help.

Thank you, buddy.

My new customer is Xiao Bi,

Chairwoman of Huawei Company.

Xiao Bi?

Exactly.

She has many valuable jewels.

Our foreign customers are interested

in her jewelry.

I wonder if you know her.

She’s my student.

I’ve been teaching her to swim.

What a coincidence!

Well,

you’ll easily get the commission.

Come on. Take this first,

as a down payment.

No, thanks.

Come on. Take it.

Take it. We’re friends.

I want you to make money.

I’ll give you the rest

after we succeed.

Youqi, why are you here?

We’ll come to you later.

Gotta go.

Call us.

Youqi, are they your friends?

I’ve got something to do. See you.

Xida.

Do you find anything wrong

with Youqi’s friends

who just came?

Jimmy thought so, too.

It kept barking at them.

Really?

If Jimmy thinks so,

it must be right.

Because animals have the most sensitive institution.

Think about how Youqi behaved.

Could he be in trouble?

Xu Liu told me

Youqi spent time in prison.

He never talks about his past.

I’m afraid he won’t easily tell us.

What do we do?

We’re colleagues.

If he’s in trouble,

we should try to help him.

You...

Why do you care for everyone?

Those who don’t know may think

he’s your boyfriend.

I’m serious.

I see.

I’ll ask Youqi later.

You’ll be relieved, huh?

Go, Jimmy.

Were you jealous?

Annual Meeting of Meng’s Group

Annual Meeting of Meng’s Group Mr. Shen.

Annual Meeting of Meng’s Group Thank you for what you’ve prepared.

Some of my employees told me

they were very satisfied

with your food and service.

Thank you, Mr. Meng.

It is our great honor

that you choose our resort

to hold your annual meeting.

You and your wife seldom come.

Do stay and have fun.

We will, Mr. Shen.

We come here,

so that we can also have a vacation.

Fine, then.

Thank you. Have a nice stay.

Thank you.

A millionaire. Ferryman of the jewelry world

Looks reliable.

But we haven’t met for years.

I wonder if he’s still reliable.

Miss, we want something to drink.

Is there somewhere we can drink

and bask in the sun?

Yes. I’m going there on duty.

Let me take you there.

Really? That’s awesome.

-Thank you. -Thank you.

We have customers.

Welcome...

Youqi!

Mom. Dad.

Go. Let’s go!

Youqi!

Mom...

Youqi!

What are you doing? It’s been long since we last saw him.

Why do we need to see him?

We don’t have such a son like him.

What are you waiting for?

Go after them.

Don’t bother.

They’ve expelled me.

Enough! Stop dragging me!

I finally saw my son.

Let me have a word with him, all right?

What would you like to say?

He’s a useless son.

He fights every day.

I’d rather not have a son

like him!

Youqi.

What happened

between you and your parents?

I treat you as a real friend

and I care for you.

But if you don’t want to tell me,

I won’t force you.

But if you do,

you’ll feel better, right?

Don’t keep everything in your heart.

Tell us when you have a problem.

We can help you out.

Gold Award for Meng Youqi

I bore with it when I was little.

When I grew up, I no longer wanted to bear with it.

Then I ran away from home.

Bottoms up.

-I fooled around with a bunch of friends. -Good.

I lived a messed-up life.

Come on. Cheers.

-Cheers. -Cheers. Cheers.

-Come on. -Cheers.

One day,

I fought someone to save a friend.

That man was...

I was then put into prison because of bodily injury.

A man like my father

who is famous and proud

felt ashamed

when he knew his son was in prison.

After I came out,

he no longer recognized me.

Even my buddies

never came to visit me.

Your parents might just be angry.

They’ve never looked for me.

Meng Youqi, cheer up!

You don’t look like the man I know.

The man I know

sometimes talks cruelly.

But he’s very kind.

Your parents will know that

and forgive you.

You know?

Of course.

Every time we clean the beach,

you secretly get the fishes

back to the sea

when you see them trapped.

This isn’t what a bad man

will do.

Shen Muxin.

You observed me secretly?

Friends usually

care for each other.

You treat me as a real friend?

Sure.

Not only me.

Xida, Xu Liu and Jiang Ze

also treat you as a friend,

just like me.

So, whatever happens,

as long as you tell us,

we’d like to help you.

Thank you.

I told you we are friends.

Don’t say thank you.

Buddy.

Gao Si Have you arranged the meeting with Madam Xiao?

Help! Help!

Help! Help!

What’s wrong with you?

You played your phone at work?

Because of your negligence of duty,

that visitor nearly died!

I’m sorry.

If he died of accident,

no apology would work.

You’ll have a demerit this time.

If you make the same mistake again, you’ll leave!

Okay.

What’s wrong?

You look weird lately.

Anything happened?

No.

Does it have something to do

with the two men outside the pub?

Not only me.

Xida, Xu Liu and Jiang Ze

also treat you as a friend,

just like me.

So, whatever happens,

as long as you tell us,

we’d like to help you.

Yes.

They were my old friends.

But we haven’t met for years.

When we met last time,

they told me there’s a chance to make money.

But I feel something fishy.

It doesn’t matter.

Tell me about it.

Maybe I can help.

Oh, I see.

But I don’t think it’s that simple.

You think so, too?

Well,

I’ll give the money back to them.

Don’t be anxious.

Rich businessmen and celebrities gather in the resort.

Even if you refuse them this time,

they’ll find a new target

near this place.

Then they’ll come to bother you again.

What should I do, then?

Why don’t we take the chance

to test them?

If they behave well,

that’s good.

If they’re breaking the law,

we’ll call the police.

That makes sense.

But how should we test them?

I’ve got a plan.

But I need to discuss with Muxin.

And you need to talk to Madam Xiao.

We need her help.

Mm.

Seems like

they’re interested in Madam Xiao’s jewelry.

Ask Madam Xiao for a favor.

Let her pretend with you

so that they’ll believe

Muxin has some jewelry from Xingyue Bay

that is more valuable

than Madam’s Xiao’s jewelry.

Legend of Merman In this way, we’ll see

Adventure in Xingyue Bay if they have evil intentions

or are doing something illegal.

If Madam Xiao helps,

they’ll be more convinced

so that we can figure out

their real identities and purpose.

Yesterday, I asked to meet them

in the restaurant.

Madam Xiao cooperated with me.

Then we’ll wait and see

if Gao Si will fall into the trap.

If they do serious business,

there’ll be no problem.

If they have evil intentions,

we can get rid of them in case more people will be harmed.

Xida is right.

A friend of my father’s is a policeman.

I asked my father to consult him

if Gao Si and Wang Jian

are serious and legal businessmen.

It’s Gao Si.

What?

He said he would take the job

and asked to meet me.

They’re really bad guys.

Youqi, reply to them

and fix a date.

Okay.

Big news! Big news!

I’ve got a clue!

I’ve found

something amazing.

A friend of mine is a policeman.

He told me

the jewelry company of Youqi’s friends

is just a swindler company.

It’s not a serious firm.

When they make deals

with customers,

they drugged them and got them in a coma

before robbing the jewelry.

What?

Why haven’t the police caught them?

First, the victims passed out.

They didn’t remember

what happened.

Besides, the guys are experienced.

They easily avoided

those cameras.

And they have a company as a cover-up.

Even if the police catch them,

they can’t convict them

without clues or evidence.

Muxin. Xida.

Thank you.

Or I’ll be used again.

Mr. Shen, please call the police.

They are taking action soon.

-I will! -Yes.

They’re bad guys

who want

to hurt our resort!

We must

catch all of them!

It’s them. Here they come.

Muxin, it’s dangerous here.

Go and hide yourself.

No. Youqi is with them.

I must stay and help.

Fine, then.

In case of danger, don’t try to be brave.

Got it?

Here we are.

Where did you get it?

I stole it from Shen Muxin’s locker.

Good job, buddy.

I knew you would help.

The treasure is here.

What are we waiting for? Look for it.

I found it!

Youqi.

What does this mean?

Are you fooling us?

Why would I?

We’re buddies.

Do you think

treasure matters more than our friendship?

Damn you!

Without the treasure,

what do we need you for?

So,

you’ve been using me?

You’re right.

We planned to approach Xiao Bi with your help

and make money out of it.

Tell us where the treasure is!

Fine.

Let me tell you the truth, then.

There’s no treasure in this place.

What?

How dare you!

Meng Youqi, you’re dead!
