on iowa.

is gonna be moving on
to round 2

and have the extra $20,000 in
their pockets.

Tonight's actually nola's first
night of racing

in this competition.

They didn't have to participate
in the wildcard round

because they made it past
the first round last year.

They actually made it
to the final last team

and faced off against memphis
for the 100k.

This may be nola's first
matchup, but they've been taking

grudge races every time they
could get 'em.

and the no-prep racing.

first official street race.

racing j.J.'s arm drops

all over the united states.

So they're pretty good at that
arm drop deal.

I mean, they look like they got
some strong cars.

they gonna be a pushover.

full of race cars.

a team of street racers?

We're gonna find
that out tonight.

They're sweating us because
they know we know the arm drop.

I've been racing this arm job.

as the big dog
because we are street racers.

We race these streets every day.
-We ain't prepping all the time.

We're no-prepping or
we're in the street.

We sit out there and bust
our can out here testing,

you know, every, you know,
all the time on this stuff.

So I think we are the big dogs
and not the underdogs.

Can't take them for granted.
Buster and them,

they've been doing this
a long time.

They've been chasing j.J.
All over the united states.

They got every trick you can
think of up their sleeve.

Tonight's gonna be
a tough race for both teams,

and it all starts
in the beginning.

They've got to fill out a run
order list of eight.

First team that wins eight
races,

advances to the next round,

plus picks up
$20,000 in cash.

If they don't win eight races,

then that means
both teams go back,

fill out another run order
and a list of seven.

And it's gonna be
some strategy in that.

We've seen in the past races

that strategy plays a big role
in this racing.

One dumb decision could
cost you the whole entire race.

we were gonna run,

before the competition

except it could be

Lizzy has been struggling
from day one out here

trying to get her car right

in this grudge racing
on the street.

She's been having
a ton of trouble.

and didn't get to the line

to get a pass on this road

before their matchup next week.

This street racing
is extremely dangerous

the normal racing.

As I was bringing in the racers,

to this style of racing.

And when you're like that,
it could be extremely dangerous,

Thankfully, one of the guys
got my attention

before I could bump the cars in,
and I cut them off

before they could start off
down the road.

We've got to purge
all of our nitrous.

Apparently, my dad was still
doing the wheelie bars

in the back,
so I was about to take off,

and he was still bent
over doing the wheelie bars.

So it was a whole --
it was a messed-up deal.

J.J. Brought us in,
I got on the trans brake button,

and the car actually
just rolled.

It didn't even hold,

so I had to just relaunch
and reset it.

And, so, I didn't even
just pay attention to j.

I just wanted
to make the run.

So I let go of
the trans brake button,

and the car made
a freaking killer pass.

So if everything
just worked right,

I would have a really good run

and probably would have
won that race.

Yeah, if it would have --

it wouldn't hold
the [bleep] trans brake,

I don't know why.

I guess it was just
so [bleep] hot.

Did it hold the second time?
Yeah.

I just waited and I stayed on it
for a while, and --

We can't do that again,
though.

Whatever happened,
we can't do that again.

Well, we'll try it in the pits
a couple times

we got to come up
with a plan.

The most important part
of the race

is at the starting line,

and that has to do
with your team members.

They have to have their job done
and be on point.

After that,
it's all up to the driver.

So I feel like lizzy needs
to make sure that her crew

is ready for this race.
