Eternal Love Rain

Episode 9

Your Majesty,

we've solved the case of the lost painting.

Su Bin Quan wasn't the culprit.

It's because the Mo family didn't accept the alliance with Su family.

And the Mo family was angry at them.

They wanted to vent their anger

through the Crown Prince's coming-of-age ceremony.

Using that opportunity,

they framed a loyal officer for that case.

They should be executed!

Your Majesty,

now that we have evidence,

I hope we can punish the Mo family!

Permission granted.

-Your Majesty is wise! -Your Majesty is wise!

Mo Residence

Father!

Such impudence!

How dare you capture someone from the first-class officer's house?

Do you want to die?

His Majesty ordered us to arrest the wanted criminal.

Sealed off

Nonsense!

Feng'er, be polite.

-Father! -Lord Mo.

The Mo family tried to frame a loyal officer

and destroy our country's offering.

We've gotten to the bottom of this.

Both of you, please follow me

to the Supreme Court for the interrogation.

Someone.

Cuff them up!

How dare you touch me!

Mr Mo, are you resisting arrest?

Feng'er.

I was to blame for this.

-No. -You must remember this.

No matter how they interrogate you,

this

has nothing to do with you at all.

I will beg His Majesty to let you go.

Feng'er,

sometimes, love can't be forced.

In the end, you'll only hurt yourself.

And,

Ning Xiu Rui isn't an ordinary human.

You mustn't involve yourself with him.

-Understood? -Father.

Father.

It's all my fault.

This wouldn't have happened

if I didn't insist on marrying Yin Yin.

I was too stubborn.

I did my best,

only to realize that I've harmed you.

No.

Feng'er.

Don't cry.

Feng'er.

-Feng'er. -Father!

Father!

Take care.

Father!

Let's go.

Lord Mo, sorry for this.

Take him away!

Let's go!

Let's go!

Hurry!

Mr Mo!

-Young Master! -Young Master, are you okay?

How did this happen?

He's still my father even if he did commit heinous crimes.

Father did all that because of me.

Father, don't worry.

I will surely think of a way

to save you.

Morality Throughout Generations

Aunt.

Lin Lin, you're here?

-Aunt! -Young Lady Lin Lin.

Have a seat!

Is everything fine in the capital?

Yes.

I'm here to tell you that

Uncle's case has been solved.

I'm here to bring you back.

This is great!

I wonder how that old guy

is doing in the cell?

This is his first time staying in prison for such a long time.

How's Yin Yin?

Yin Yin?

She worked very hard on Uncle's case.

She lost a lot of weight.

That's what I'm worried about.

What about

her relationship with Lord Ning?

Did he chase her out?

No.

Aunt, listen to me.

About her and Lord Ning...

About her and Lord Ning,

I don't think it's suitable

for a girl like me to talk about it.

Lin Lin, you're overly modest.

There's nothing to be shy.

It's common to talk about relationships.

Listen,

regarding relationships,

you need to go for it when you feel like it.

Your mother passed away too soon.

No one teach you how to deal with relationships.

From now on,

I'll teach you.

And you need to learn, okay?

You need to think about your future.

Yes, Aunt.

You always make me worried.

You were together every day.

Yet you don't know about their situation?

Seems like there's no progress.

Now,

it's time for me to shine.

Look at your father.

He had to suffer even when he's this old.

He was locked up in a cell.

I worry about him every day.

Why isn't he out yet?

Supreme Court

They're coming!

Where's my father?

Ms Su, I'm here to tell you that

Lord Su may not be able to return with you today.

Why?

Didn't you solve the case already?

My father wasn't the culprit, right?

Why aren't they releasing him?

Summon Su Bin Quan!

Greetings, Your Majesty.

You may rise.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

Lord Su, seems like you've been doing well in the cell.

You didn't lose any weight.

Your Majesty, thank you for asking Lord Ning to take care of me.

That's how I was able to spend my time in prison peacefully.

Lord Su, you had to suffer.

In order to prove your innocence,

I purposely let Grand Secretariat Ning take over the case.

Lord Ning is a rare talent indeed.

I was very lucky to get his help.

Since the case has been solved,

Lord Su, you may continue

with the Crown Prince's coming-of-age ceremony.

Your Majesty, please pardon me. I'm not able to do that.

Su Bin Quan,

what problems are you facing this time?

Your Majesty,

about the coming-of-age ceremony,

although it's a ceremony to show the generosity of our lord,

according to the previous Ministry of Rites,

the ceremony is a huge waste of resources.

In my opinion,

we should cut our expenses by at least 30 per cent

and put them aside for our military fund.

Enough.

Since you have refused to take charge

of the ceremony,

you don't need to worry about our expenses.

Your Majesty,

I refused to take charge

because I was responsible

for the lost painting.

The people will only be satisfied

if I'm not involved with the ceremony.

But the ceremony is a huge event.

Your Majesty, we shouldn't spend our resources mindlessly.

So that Your Majesty and Crown Prince will not be criticized.

I think you're criticizing me.

Your Majesty! I don't dare to do so!

Enough.

Leave now.

It was quiet when you were gone.

But now, you're nagging me again.

Leave.

Your Majesty!

Please think twice about the coming-of-age ceremony!

Lord Su, since you have so many suggestions,

I'll reward you with another three days in prison then.

You can take your time.

And think about how we could change the ceremony.

Your Majesty!

I'm not finished yet!

Write them down in a paper when you're in the cell!

He always say things at the inappropriate timing.

Fine. What a waste of our time.

Let's go.

Young Lady, Madam,

are we leaving already?

Don't you understand?

That old guy must be

too bored in the cell.

He's taking so long just to leave the cell.

Xiao Ru, let's go.

Let's go shopping.

-Let's go. -Let's go.

You are leaving already?

The Su family is weird indeed.

They always prepare bean curd for Lord Su when he leaves prison.

Ning Residence

The Ning Residence is grand indeed.

Come over here!

Me?

No need!

I'll be fine. You can sit.

That servant is pretty handsome.

I think he's a match for Xiao Ru.

Am I right?

Lord Ning.

Please have a seat.

Please have a seat.

Lord Ning is impressive indeed.

Lord Ning, it's all thanks to you

that my husband's case

was solved.

Words can't express my gratitude.

Madam Su, you're too courteous.

I'm here today

to ask you a favour.

Madam Su, please tell me.

Now, the Su family

is different from the past.

I just arrived at the capital.

And the house that we will move in

is vacant for a long time.

And we only have

a limited amount of houses.

We need some time to clean up the house as well.

So, Lord Ning,

can my daughter stay with you for a few more days?

Lord Ning,

although my husband's innocence

was proved,

His Majesty

still demoted him

under negligence of one's duty.

It's fine for me and my husband,

but my daughter is so pitiful!

She had to suffer with us

even before she gets married!

She's better at acting compared with Su Yin Yin.

Mother.

Lord Ning is a generous person.

If not, he wouldn't have helped us in the first place.

And,

I know his feelings for me.

My daughter,

you should stay in Ning Residence then.

When everything

has settled down,

you can return after that.

Okay.

Lord Ning,

thank you so much.

I'll leave my daughter to you then.

-Madam Su. -After three days,

on the 15th of the month,

Bin Quan will be released from prison.

You must come to our house by then.

You can visit us.

We'll hold a small gathering

in order

to express our gratitude for you.

You must come with Yin Yin, okay?

Oh right.

I bought this specifically for you.

Lord Ning, take a look.

Oh right, Xiao Ru, give it to me.

Look at the loving birds.

They're nice, right?

I love the sight of them.

Okay then. I'll leave now.

Xiao Ru, let's go.

Goodbye, Mother, Xiao Ru.

Madam Su, you're too courteous.

You didn't have to bring gifts.

Do you like it?

She chose them for you.

The Inverted Dragon's Scale has appeared!

Prince Xiu Rui will return to the sea and inherit the throne soon!

Crown Prince,

we need to prepare

a lavish gift for Prince Xiu Rui's return!

I'm sure the Dragon King will be pleased

if he knows about this.

-Prince Xiu Rui! -Inverted Dragon's Scale! Return to sea?

The true Dragon King!

Prince Xiu Rui is the true Dragon King!

The true Dragon King!

Prince Xiu Rui is the true Dragon King!

Prince Xiu Rui! He'll bring the Inverted Dragon's Scale back to the sea!

Prince Xiu Rui! He'll bring the Inverted Dragon's Scale back to the sea!

Prince Xiu Rui is the true Dragon King!

Your Highness, are you okay?

How's Prince Xiu Rui doing on the land?

It seems that he had a conflict

with some humans a few days ago.

Conflict with humans?

What a strange sight.

Prince Xiu Rui is a secluded person.

But now, he's involving himself with humans?

Ning Mo,

go and find out the human who taunted Prince Xiu Rui.

Push him when it's necessary.

Crown Prince, what do you mean?

Since I can't do it myself,

I need someone to do it for me.

Remember,

you must keep this a secret.

Understood?

Yes, I understand.

And,

Crown Prince,

the old officials in our court sent us another submission.

They hope you could find the Inverted Dragon's Scale soon

and go to the surface in order to bring Prince Xiu Rui back.

Fine.

I'll satisfy them.

I'll become the wise brother.

And meet my younger brother on the land.

Are you really going to bring Prince Xiu Rui back?

Of course.

But now,

whether Prince Xiu Rui is willing to return with the Inverted Dragon's Scale,

that's a different story.

Officer's Residence

Sir, your trip was in vain.

Young Lady is busy with something.

She has no time to see you.

How could that be?

Did you tell her that

her disciple is coming to see her?

I told her already.

Young Lady told me that

she doesn't have any disciple.

Sir, maybe you're mistaken.

Is that so?

I'll come another day then.

Take care.

Court of Elegance

Hold your head up high.

Tread lightly.

With a focused view.

Good.

Good.

Slower. Good.

Do it slowly.

I didn't expect Master to behave in this manner.

Okay. Turn around.

Master!

It's me!

My lady!

A noble lady doesn't behave like this!

Let's continue.

Supreme Court

Leave!

Leave right now!

-Get out! -Let me go!

Get out!

Get out!

Why can't I see my father?

I want to see my father!

Stop! You better stop!

Okay.

How dare you treat me like this?

All of you will be done for

once my father is released!

Your father won't be released.

Listen,

you shouldn't waste your energy.

How dare you behave like this

when he has committed such heinous crimes?

You don't know your own position!

Who do you think you are?

How dare you talk to me like that!

Even my servant is better than you!

Stop it!

Mr Mo, that's enough.

Your father tried his best to lessen your punishment.

That's why you didn't end up in prison.

You better obey the law

and don't create any trouble.

No.

I want to see my father.

-I want to see my father! -You better stay put!

Listen,

I'll lock you up if you continue this!

Let's go.

You must be Mo Cheng Feng.

Who are you?

Did Ning Xiu Rui hire you to kill me?

Mr Mo, calm down.

I'm here

to help you out.

Help me out?

By tying me up?

This is the Dragon's Bind.

It's useful for capturing people.

Even the strongest man can't escape its bind.

Moreover, you're just an ordinary human.

Why are you telling me this?

I'm here today on behalf of my master.

If you're willing to listen to our arrangements,

you'll be able to seek revenge.

Your master?

Who do you think you are?

How dare you try to command me!

Listen,

no one in this capital

can command me!

Mr Mo, you shouldn't be too sure about that.

We'll meet again.

I'll leave the Dragon's Bind with you.

It may help you during crucial moments.

Who exactly are they?

Don't tell me Ning Xiu Rui has other rivals as well?

There's no harm in trying this.

Imperial Library

Where is Lord Ning?

Your Majesty,

Lord Ning is...

Don't move!

Tell me.

Lord Ning said

he's busy today.

He won't see you today.

But he'll accompany me on the same day every month.

Where did he go?

Rumour has it that

he was invited to Lord Su's house.

Su Bin Quan?

That old man!

He wants to steal the grand secretariat from me as well?

What a greedy man.

Where's the Crown Prince?

His Highness?

Our scout told me that

he went to the Officer's Residence

in order to meet his master.

And he hasn't returned yet.

Every one of you, leave!

Your Majesty, why don't you let me accompany you?

Liu Bao,

your servants are waiting for you, am I right?

Your Majesty, I just wanted to accompany you.

Come.

Say that again.

Your Majesty, I just wanted to accompany you.

Say that again.

Your Majesty, I just wanted to accompany you.

You're honest.

Thank you, Your Majesty.

-Go now. -I'll take my leave.

-Eat more. -Dear, thank you.

Ning Xiu Rui, eat this.

Here.

Try it.

Try this as well.

Come, eat more.

You don't need to stand on ceremony.

Just treat us like your family.

-Try them. -Here.

I was unlucky

to implicate myself

in such an unfortunate incident.

Now that I'm able to reunite with my family,

I'm really happy.

Here.

Lord Ning,

try this soup.

You must've been exhausted.

You need to replenish your energy.

Yes, Ning Xiu Rui.

My mother boiled the soup personally.

It's delicious.

The bland food in your residence

can't compare with it.

Daughter,

what are you saying?

We're a family.

Eat more.

Mother, his bowl is overflowing with food.

When eating, do not converse. When in bed, do not speak.

This.

Can't we just enjoy our meal?

Don't interrupt Lord Ning when he's eating.

It's delicious, right?

Here.

And this as well.

Why are you drinking by yourself?

Give it to me! You're so impolite!

How dare you drink by yourself!

Both of you don't care about me at all.

You treat me as if I'm invisible.

I thought

we were celebrating my release from prison?

Yes!

For being in prison forever!

Isn't that right?

My father grows stronger as he gets older.

He talked back to His Majesty even though he was just released.

He still has his past flair indeed.

Although they like to bicker with each other,

this may be the happiest scene in the human realm.

Here.

Don't stand on ceremony.

Mother, what's wrong?

Mother, what's with that twitch?

It's late now.

Daughter,

you should return with Lord Ning if you have finished your food.

It's been a long time since I've seen your father.

We need to catch up.

You two should return earlier.

Dear, I'm back, you know?

You still want Yin Yin to go to Lord Ning's residence?

Isn't that unsuitable?

Sealed off

He's the man I fancy!

The night scenery of Shengjing

is quite beautiful.

I never noticed that

when I passed by this place.

Ning Xiu Rui, thank you.

Although you can't transform,

you're still a good dragon.

That's for sure.

Ning Xiu Rui,

you're starting to crack jokes

after spending much time with my family.

Your parents are good people.

Of course.

Ning Xiu Rui,

why have you

never mentioned your parents before?

Where do they stay?

How many siblings do you have?

Why didn't they visit you?

I'm a sinner.

Enough.

Let's return now.

Let me tell you a secret.
