Thrive to Success

Eternal Love Rain

Episode 8

Supreme Court

I'm going to die, ain't I?

So, you know someone will take away your life anytime soon.

Did you tell the truth at the trial?

Prisoner

I said what I needed to say.

You don't have to question me again.

Kill me if you want.

Just don't forget about our deal.

Once the case is decided,

Su Bin Quan will be exiled,

and he will never be allowed to return.

You...

Why are you telling me this?

When Su Bin Quan was in power, was he mean?

Lord Su...

Lord Su was the only person who asked my name.

I understand your concern.

Your grandma, the only family you have,

was abducted.

You know about that, right?

And you know her abductor.

Right?

Do you really think that they will release her

if you give fake testimony?

Once Su Bin Quan's case is decided,

you will be useless to them.

Think about it.

Will they keep the family

of a useless person alive,

and take care of her?

Now...

Now, what can I do?

Tell me.

Who abducted your grandma?

Why should I trust you?

Besides me,

no one else can clear Su Bin Quan's name

and save your grandma.

Mo Residence

Why is there no one to welcome me?

Who are you?

Not your business.

Go get the Mos.

When they are here,

you will know who I am.

Go.

Listen, this is the Mo Residence.

Not everyone can see Mr Mo.

Don't get physical.

The three of us will rip you into pieces. Don't try us.

Stop staring.

Young Master.

Get lost.

You hear that? Get lost.

I told you to get lost.

Let's go.

Lord Mo, Mr Mo, get up.

Skip the courtesy.

Lord Mo, Mr Mo.

Your servants are quite interesting.

I didn't educate them well.

Please forgive them, Your Highness.

I wonder what brought you here, Your Highness.

Something happened.

I am here to discuss the case with Mr Mo.

I wish to do my bit

in solving the case

so that my brother can stop worrying.

You are right, Your Highness.

However, this case

is now being handled by Lord Ning.

We know that Lord Ning is your teacher.

With your assistance,

it'll surely be an effective investigation.

You are so smart, Mr Mo.

However,

my Master and Brother are very close.

If Brother found out that

I secretly investigated the Su family

and befriended officials...

You see,

there will be consequences.

But you and I...

We are young people.

Making friends

is normal.

In that case,

tonight,

both of us shall stay up and have a long talk.

Why not?

Rumour has it that the design of Mo Residence is interesting

with ingenious structure.

Since I am already here,

will you show me around?

Let me learn something new.

Well...

Your Highness, it is getting late

and you are all alone...

Mr Mo, don't worry.

You are being too polite.

I will just take a stroll

and leave like it's my house.

Don't mind me.

Don't mind me, everyone.

Your Highness!

Father, this...

It is not as simple as you think.

Get rid of that person in the prison.

Okay.

It seems that anyone that is involved in the matter

must be gotten rid of.

Mr Mo,

your house is well constructed.

Thank you for the compliment, Your Highness.

Your Highness, that side...

That place is haunted.

Someone as noble as you shouldn't go in.

Why is there such mysterious place inside the Mo Residence?

Your Highness, you don't know about that.

In the past,

some daring men insisted on going in.

Guess what happened?

What happened?

He died a miserable death.

Then we should not stay here any longer!

Yes, you are right.

-Well... -Let's go to my room.

What for?

We can play chess.

I heard that you are good at playing chess.

Why don't we have a match?

Sure.

Let's go.

-Let's go. -Let's go.

Let's go.

This way, please.

-Let's go. -This way.

I really like your place.

The light spot should be the signal.

Ning Xiu Rui is indeed capable.

Bring the person at the door here.

Thrive to Success

Elegant House of Dragon

Ning Xiu Rui.

You can converse without talking?

Is there any signal that I don't understand?

You don't need to know.

That follower of yours...

Does he know the signal?

Follower?

You should thank that follower.

Thrive to Success

Go inside and take a rest.

Thank him?

Why?

Mo Residence

You are indeed young and talented, Mr Mo.

You stayed up all night,

yet you are still so energetic.

I salute that.

That is not true, Your Highness.

You seem to

care about the case a lot.

It is a blessing to our nation.

Thank you for the compliment.

You don't have to keep me company, Mr Mo.

I won't wander around the Mo Residence.

Stop kidding me, Your Highness.

We have stayed up for the whole night.

I shall send someone to escort Your Highness back to the palace.

-Guard! -No need!

I mean, you don't have to take me back.

I can go back on my own,

and take the chance to observe how the people are doing.

No way.

I should not let the Crown Prince walk on his own, right?

You must be escorted.

-This is a must. -It's okay.

-You don't have to. -I must do that.

-I can go back on my own. -This is a must.

-It's okay, you don't have to. -I must.

-No, you don't have to. -It's not safe.

Mr Mo.

What is wrong?

Your Highness,

something happened at the Supreme Court.

I have to go there.

Make yourself at home.

Sure, get going.

Get going now.

-Mo Xiao. -Yes.

Keep the Crown Prince company.

Sure.

Mr Mo.

See you.

Your...

Your Highness.

My Lords, Zhu Li is dead.

What is the cause of death?

It is uncertain at the moment. No injury is found on his body.

Dissection will be conducted to find out if he was poisoned.

You may leave now.

Yes.

Lord Ning, under your administration,

the prisoner died for no reason.

How suspicious.

I think you'll have to

explain yourself to His Majesty, Lord Ning.

The case has not been decided.

How do you know that

there wouldn't be an unexpected ending?

Ning Xiu Rui, what does that mean?

Calm down, My Lords.

Why don't we continue discussing it

after the dissection?

Ning Xiu Rui is always not around.

And he doesn't have a servant.

Does he expect me to take his clothes in?

I am not his family.

Black...

Black Dragon?

Are you that black dragon

who had saved me over a decade ago?

It's been a while.

Thrive to Success

Where did it go?

Was I dreaming?

What are you doing here?

Ning Xiu Rui.

How do you look like when you turn into a dragon?

What do you mean?

I saw a huge black dragon.

I've wanted to see it since I was young,

but when it appeared out of no where,

I was freaked out.

You saw a dragon?

It's black in colour,

exactly like

the dragon I saw when I was young.

Where did it go?

It...

It went to that direction.

Ning Xiu Rui,

did that black dragon come

to pick me up?

Now that it's showed itself,

your wish has come true, right?

Why aren't you the black dragon?

Fetch my clothes in.

You are so beautiful.

Did you come out from the drawing?

Master, why didn't you knock before coming in?

You startled me.

Didn't I tell you to copy the ancient script?

Why are you drawing instead?

Who is that lady?

No one.

Master, you have never come to my room before.

Something urgent happened, is it?

The witness to the Su family's case was murdered.

But the harder they try to hide the truth,

the faster it will come to light.

Watch Ning Residence tonight.

Protect Su Yin Yin.

I will do my best without any reservation.

Don't worry, Master.

I have in mind

a suitable candidate to ask for help.

Archive Pavilion

If you want the clues to Su Bin Quan's case,

come to the jungle at the outskirts at midnight.

You are so punctual, Lord Ning.

The Supreme Court is over ten miles away.

Even if you ride on a fast horse, you might not be able to reach on time.

It seems that

you are not ordinary, Lord Ning.

I am here for the clues.

Tell me, what do you plan to do?

I...

What I want is simple.

I want you to stop being nosy.

If you don't want to die a miserable death,

chew up everything you know

and let them rot in your stomach.

Stop investigating the Su family's case.

The Supreme Court knows what to do.

Moving forward, in Shengjing,

we shall not interfere with each other's affairs.

Also,

stop trying to help Su Yin Yin.

Behave yourself.

Otherwise,

no matter

who you are,

what's waiting for you is a tragic end.

It seems that you have misunderstood.

What do you mean?

Whether I continue investigating the case

has nothing to do with you.

It's not up to you to decide

how long I can stay in Shengjing.

How arrogant, Lord Ning.

Fine.

In that case,

you are not leaving the forest tonight.

Ning Residence

What a fool.

Ning Xiu Rui, what is going on?

Who are you?

Where is Su Yin Yin?

I don't know. Perhaps she got freaked out,

and hid herself inside the closet.

I knew she was tricky.

Li Qi.

Don't tell anyone

what you're going to see later.

Step aside.

Sure.

What spell did you cast on the Scale again?

It might be related to its sudden appearance.

Human or monster,

just kill him!

It seems that I can't spare anyone tonight.

Ning Xiu Rui.

What is going on?

Let's go back.

Slow down.

Wait for me.

Ning Xiu Rui, you are amazing.

Keep it up!

-You are so late! -Hurry up!

-Take them away. -Hurry.

Take them all away.

-Move. -Move.

Heroine, please accept my knees.

What are you doing?

Heroine.

Once again, I get to witness your graceful bearing.

Today, with the universe as witness,

I shall take you as my master.

No matter where you go, in this life,

I shall be following you around.

Get up, I don't take disciples.

Heroine, if you don't take me as your disciple,

I might blurt out what just happened.

In that case, everyone in the world

will admire you just like me.

How dare you!

Heroine, just take me as your disciple.

Otherwise, I shall kneel forever.

-Lin Lin! -Well...

Ignore him. Let him kneel forever.

Su Yin Yin!

I swear I won't be helping when you're kicked out again.

When did you ever help?

You only made the situation worse.

Enough.

Heroine, please say yes.

Don't tell anyone what happened today.

Also, don't call me Master.

-No problem, Master. -You!

I mean, Mistress.

Clean up the backyard, both of you.

Yin Yin.

How come you and Lord Ning return together?

Aren't you hiding in the closet?

It is a long story.

I shall tell you later.

No...

Mistress, don't mind her.

She has always been a mysterious person,

-like a crazy woman. -Li Qi!

I'll get it back at you through Lin Lin.

All right.

Yin Yin, I have to go.

Keep me updated on your father's case.

I am going to see your mother at the suburb.

Thank you. Remember,

don't tell Mother about this.

Don't worry.

Be careful.

-Mistress, you are so beautiful today. -Don't call me that.

Fine.

Mistress, you are awesome!

You are so pretty today!

You shoe-licker! Clean up the backyard now!

It's messed up by your Mistress.

Why aren't you cleaning with me?

You are her disciple.

I am her disciple...

It's none of my business.

Where are you going?

I am not cleaning it either.

Clean up the place, both of you.

Darn it, Ning Xiu Rui.

I didn't do this.

He suddenly summoned me,

and now I have to clean up the backyard.

-My life is so hard. -You talk to much.

Likewise.

Supreme Court

Zhu Li was poisoned to death.

This piece of cloth was found in Zhu Li's throat.

He might have swallowed it in a hurry before he died,

not wanting to let the murderer find it.

The location stated may lead to the person behind this.

Has Zhu Li's grandma settled down?

Yes.

Take good care of her.

Don't tell her about Zhu Li's death.

Yes.

Mo family. Ghost Market.

Seems like I can find the answer at Ghost Market.

The only thing left to do is return the "Green Dragon Returning to the Sea".

The "Green Dragon Returning to the Sea" is back.

The "Green Dragon Returning to the Sea" is back!

Really? Let me see.

It's back.

Your Majesty, Lord Ning is here.

Let him in.

-Yes. -All of you may leave.

Yes, Your Majesty.

You are here because you found new clues to the case, right?

The culprit is not Shu Bin Quan.

The truth has come to light.

It will be revealed tomorrow.

Why are you laughing?

I am laughing because

you actually stepped up and handled such a trivial matter yourself.

That is interesting.

Look, Mr Ning.

The "Green Dragon Returning to the Sea" was lost and recovered.

It is such a masterpiece.

I believed only Zhang You Lan himself

can make a replica that looks exactly the same.

Master, you asked for me?

Take this painting back to the Ministry of Rites.

Do it secretly.

The "Green Dragon Returning To The Sea"?

Master, you can count on me.

And that's for Su Yin Yin?
