Marry Me

Episode 4

Do you really think...

that my master will kill for a sheet music?

Who knows.

However,

is the Fuxi Score worth it?

Frankly speaking,

all musicians in the world....

want Fuxi Score.

But...

my master is a man of honour.

He will never do such a thing.

Long Yue.

Long Fei, Big Brother,

you're both here.

Long Yue,

help.

Long Fei,

look at you.

Big Brother is busy with Criminal Investigation Bureau's affairs.

And you won't leave him alone?

Big Brother.

You're right to punish him.

Long Fei...

is getting worse.

Long Yue,

that's cheap.

Remember the livestock.

But don't you worry.

I know how to deal with Ju Mu'er.

So, breaking into the Criminal Investigation Bureau is your plan?

I didn't break in.

I was led in by the Wujin Imperial Guard.

Moreover, this...

was a fruitful trip after all.

Don't give me that.

What did the Wujin Imperial Guard...

and Ministry of Justice miss? Tell me.

What do you mean?

There's an extra one.

What do you mean that?

Don't leave me hanging.

I'm going for lunch break.

Let's talk later.

Long Yue, what have you got on your sleeve this time?

Tell me what you want.

Don't ever let others know what you have found.

I checked the files at the Bureau...

and went to the World's Best Inn.

Finally, I found something.

There were six workers in the World's Best Inn as recorded in the files.

But Zhu Fu said he only sent five.

So, the extra man...

is the problem.

During the investigation,

we started with the Shi family and the officials.

The workers died because they were implicated.

So, their families haven't told to come and collect their bodies.

To my surprise,

this is the problem.

In order to not affect his business,

Zhu Fu has already paid...

survivor's pension to the family.

So, he wouldn't lie.

Then,

who was the extra one?

Here's my condition.

I want to examine the bodies with you.

I want to know...

who was the one that shouldn't be there.

Don't worry.

Tomorrow,

I'll do my best to protect your master...

so Shu Bo can't torture him.

Ju Wine House

Why isn't she home yet?

Young Master Yue.

You come home late.

Your eyes haven't recovered.

Don't go strolling around.

I'm delivering medicine on behalf of the physician.

Take it regularly,

to clear the remaining poison in your eyes.

Thank you, Young Master Yue.

Lord Yun, you're here too?

Why aren't you leaving?

I shall take my leave.

I'll keep you updated...

about what happens tomorrow.

Brother Yun,

thank you for helping my master.

You're welcome.

Be careful.

Bye, Lord Yun.

You're not here bringing the medicine?

I've waited for you for all day.

Follow me.

Wait, where are we going?

Don't you want to save your master?

I do.

Why didn't you tell me earlier?

I didn't know where you and Yun Qing Xian were.

Be grateful, I've waited for you.

I investigated overnight.

The extra body is none other than...

Shu Bo's man from Kun Palace.

If Kun Palace is involved,

it is a scheme.

Ms Ju, please identify...

if this is your master's way of using sword?

This...

This...

It seems to be the sword method my master uses.

No doubt this is Shi Bo Yin's sword method.

It's just that...

what was a Kun Palace's man...

doing at Shi Residence?

As for the sword method,

I've seen it somewhere.

There's another user.

Shu Bo.

Criminal Investigation Bureau

It's ghost fire.

Are you alright?

It's dangerous. Let's get out of here.

-Okay. -No.

This is the only clue.

The bodies can't prove your master's innocence.

Let's go while we still can.

You go. I can't give up.

Big Brother, let's go.

Hurry up.

Long Residence

Lie down, don't move.

Let's wait for the physician.

Young Master Yue,

how is the morgue?

You're hurt,

forget about the morgue.

And the evidence?

All burnt.

This is all my brother's fault.

He's used to being rough with his subordinates.

That was why...

he accidentally knocked you out.

But...

he did this to save you.

Don't blame him.

I know my problem.

It's not your fault.

What you need to do now...

is take a good rest.

The morgue has been burnt to ashes.

The culprit must have escaped too.

You going there won't be of any help.

Young Master Yue.

Lord Yun is here.

Come and check on her.

Yes, my lord.

This is Long Residence,

how could he bring anyone here as he pleases.

Brother Yun,

something's strange about the fire.

Go and check now. The case is suspicious.

Our priority now...

is to have the physician check on you.

If anything happens to you,

how will you reopen the case?

Leave it to me.

I'll investigate.

Brother Yun,

is Master going to...

be tried tomorrow?

Yes.

Brother Yun,

don't worry about me.

Go and get ready.

With you there,

I'll be more at ease.

Don't worry.

If there's anything new,

I'll let you know at once.

But now,

let the physician examine your eyes.

This...

Lord Yun, you may get back to work.

Since she's at Long Residence,

I'll take good care of her.

I'm counting on you to take care of her.

No problem.

Physician,

how is Ms Ju's injury?

Sir, I'd like to have a word with you.

Ms Ju's eye problem...

was caused by the remaining poison in her body.

She used to lose her vision once in a while...

but didn't seek immediate medical treatment.

Added with the burn,

it's quite impossible to clear the poison thoroughly.

What should we do?

There's nothing we can do.

The poison will damage her eyesight.

This might cause her to be blind.

-Physician. -Young Master Yue.

You may leave now.

Goodbye.

Don't trouble yourself because of me.

I could see clearly in the past,

that's why I couldn't stand the sight of you.

Well,

I don't have to look at...

your calculating face anymore.

I feel more comfortable at heart.

Shu Residence

Lord Long, you can't go in.

Lord Long.

Lord Long.

You can't go in, Lord Long.

Lord Long.

Master, he...

You're dismissed.

Yes, Master.

I wonder what business you have at Shu Residence...

so early in the morning, Lord Long.

Shi Bo Yin's case will be taken to the court shortly.

You should be getting ready.

What a coincidence.

I didn't know that you play qin too.

Could you have hidden a sword...

in your qin like Shi Bo Yin?

What do you mean?

After investigating,

among the victims in Shi Residence,

there was a Kun Palace's secret guard.

Why didn't you report this?

I see, it's about this.

Since you've found out,

there's no point hiding.

Yes, I can play the qin...

and wield a sword.

I learnt sword fighting...

from Shi Bo Yin.

I believe that you...

know about the tragedy that happened years ago.

Your Highness.

Your Highness.

-Your Highness. -Your Highness.

-What's the matter? -Your Highness.

Darling. Darling.

-How do you feel? -My belly hurts.

-Imperial physician! -Your Highness.

So, I didn't want others to know...

that I was taught qin skills and sword fighting by Shi Bo Yin.

To be frank,

I did torture Shi Bo Yin.

But others...

would've killed him to vent their hatred.

Even so,

how would you explain...

why did you not tell us about the secret guard?

Since you've found it out,

I don't have to hide it anymore.

The victim...

was indeed a secret guard of Kun Palace.

I wanted to keep an eye on Shi Bo Yin.

But to my surprise,

he's become even more uncontrolled.

Even a secret guard couldn't escape from him.

I have been harsh and reckless.

Please forgive me.

Don't worry.

I'll protect your child.

Peace and Harmony

The trial...

will be conducted by the commander of...

Wujin Imperial Guard, Lord Long.

Secretary, please write down the interrogation in details...

to be handed to His Majesty.

Yes, my lord.

Suspect, Shi Bo Yin,

what do you have to say...

about the murder of Minister of Personnel, Shi Ze Chun's entire family?

Yes, I do.

Your eyes haven't healed,

they're using medicine.

And we're already at the Bureau.

Don't rush it.

Thanks for your concern.

But...

I can't wait to meet my master.

Who cares about you?

I was worried that you'll get hurt...

and I'll end up losing the sheet music.

Moreover, my brother will come out...

if there's anything.

Criminal Investigation Bureau

I killed the entire Shi family...

single-handedly.

Criminal Investigation Bureau

Lord Long, how was it?

Where's my master?

Big Brother,

what's the matter?

Tell me,

on the night before the murder,

you met Lord Shi...

at Jinlong Inn.

Why didn't you kill him then?

I only wanted the sheet music.

I tried to persuade him,

but he was ignorant.

So, you killed him?

Along with everyone in Shi family who wasn't related to this.

Just for a mere sheet music?

How cruel.

An unparalleled sheet music...

Only a good musician will understand it.

Otherwise,

it's just a piece of paper,

a decoration.

You're too arrogant,

thinking that you're the only one in this world...

who can read the Fuxi Score.

Yet, what you have done...

has caused it to lose its value.

The sheet music has been destroyed.

An eye for an eye.

I will plead guilty.

Yes, my lord.

How could this happen?

No.

No way.

There must be a reason.

I want to see him.

Listen,

it's death penalty for Bureau trespasser.

If you do that,

not only your master,

but you'll get into trouble too.

What about this?

I'll take you home.

We'll think of something.

Notice

Shi Bo Yin will be executed in five days...

for murdering honest people.

Master Ju's daughter...

is siding with the murdering musician.

-Is that true? -Of course.

Master Ju.

It's said that your daughter is with that murderer.

What's the matter?

That's right. What's happening?

It's none of your business.

My daughter is fine.

People like you don't intervene.

What's with that attitude?

Is this how you do business?

I don't want...

to serve people like you.

Say, do you still want to do busine...

-Who's that? -Lord Yun.

Lord Yun.

Let's go.

-Stay there. -Come on.

The bill.

Thank you, Lord Yun.

These good-for-nothings...

know nothing but gossiping.

Fortunately, you showed up in time.

Otherwise,

they won't stop talking about Mu'er.

You're welcome, Master Ju.

I wonder if Mu'er is getting better.

Please talk to her again, Lord Yun.

Maybe she'll listen to you.

Mu'er.

Lord Yun's here to visit you.

Please open the door.

Mu'er.

Mu'er.

I'm Brother Yun.

If you won't open the door, I'll barge in.

She can no longer see clearly.

All physicians...

couldn't figure out why.

She looks up to and never finds faults in her master.

But thing turns out like this.

How unfortunate.

Don't worry,

all things will pass.

I'll never abandon her.

I know the whole story...

regarding Shi Bo Yin's case.

Let me talk to her alone...

and straighten her out.

Mu'er is still young.

She hasn't married.

But given her condition now,

how will her future be?

Mu'er.

I'm fine.

Please don't worry about me.

Your eyes...

I can't see clearly sometimes. That's it.

As for what lies ahead,

I'll just accept it.

Maybe this is fated,

like how I failed to save my master.

Don't put the two different things together.

Shi Bo Yin deserved the punishment.

He isn't a good master.

He's not worth your sacrifice.

Have you ever thought that...

if something happens to you,

what should Master Ju do?

Torturing yourself...

equals to torturing those who care about you.

Brother Yun,

why even you say this?

I didn't believe it,

but Shi Bo Yin admitted to the crime.

I heard and see it myself.

Criminal Investigation Bureau

Where is the problem?

I knew it.

Something is wrong about it.

Young Master.

Young Master.

Yun... Yun Qing Xian...

is at Ju Wine House, looking for Ms Ju.

And why did you tell me about that?

But didn't you ask me to keep an eye on Ms Ju...

and report to you at once should anything happen?

Did I?

Hey,

you should know the priority.

I'm busy. Go away.

Yun Qing Xian again.

The case...

is proven to be true.

Why?

He didn't do it.

Why did he admit it?

Even if we...

refuse to believe that,

facts speak louder than words.

Shi Bo Yin is the murderer.

He'll be executed in five days.

Mu'er.

You've tried your best...

in clearing his name.

Don't blame yourself.

Your priority should be healing your eyes.

My father has hired all physicians in the capital.

All of them said that my eyes can't be healed...

as the treatment was long delayed.

But fortunately,

I'm able to see once in a while.

That's all I ask.

I don't care if your eyes would recover.

Say yes,

and I'll take care of you for the rest of your life.

I'm sorry.

That was so rude of me.

Thanks for your concern.

But I've been through a lot lately...

that I don't have the heart for other things.

I only wish to stay alone.

You can do that,

but you need to eat,

and cure your eyes too.

Don't make those who care about you...

worry anymore.

Especially your father.

Thank you for caring about me.

I'll take care of myself.

-What's wrong, Young Master? -Why are you standing here?

You told me to.

I did tell you to stay here.

But...

Aren't you curious...

about my findings?

Young Master, should I...

be curious?

But Young Master,

without your order,

I dare not feel curious.

When did I forbid you from being curious?

You... You're right.

One moment.

Young Master, Shi Bo Yin's case is closed.

Why did you still come here?

How was that?

On the day...

when the morgue caught fire,

I smelt a rat.

As I don't believe...

about ghosts and spirits.

I am certain...

when something happens, there will be evidence.

I remember seeing a blue blaze.

That was extremely fishy.

After today's investigation,

I finally found the answer to the mystery.

Look.

Phosphorus powder.

And take a look...

at the lamp behind me.

Young Master,

there is something here.

Looks like I'm right.

That day,

we were too focused on the bodies.

Also, the morgue was...

quite creepy.

So, when the bodies were on fire,

it was thought to be ghost fire,

with no one paying attention to the details.

So, you mean...

that someone deliberately burnt the bodies?

Even so, this can't be of help.

Shi Bo Yin...

has pleaded guilty.

When the time comes, he'll be dead for sure.

But the government couldn't find any evidence.

Why did he admit to the crime so quickly?

Could it be...

that he had an accomplice?

Shi Bo Yin was captured,

and in order to destroy the evidence, his accomplice...

burnt the bodies.

They were trying to hide the more important truth.

I...

am knowledgeable and smart.

But why is my servant so stupid?

Shi Residence

Everything is unpredictable.

Be it fame or sheet music,

they are all burnt down in a fire.

Would you regret what you had done knowing the consequences?

All of you from Shi family,

I'm investigating your case,

please take it easy on me.

It's you?

Young Master Yue?

Such an annoyance.

It's been a few days, but you never learnt, Young Master Yue.

You almost strangled me to death with your strength.

If I were careless,

I'd be dead by now.

Luckily, you aren't hurt.

I didn't do that on purpose.

Who told you to come in sneakily?

I couldn't see clearly,

of course I'll be more alert.

If you really mean it,

I'd become the last body in Shi family.

I'm sorry.

Look at you.

Your eyes have problem, yet you keep going everywhere.

If the murderer's accomplice show up,

what would you do?

Before I clear my master's name,

I'll take good care of myself.

Bad things happen...

every time you're around.

I also wonder why did I run into you every time.

What are you doing here?

For Shi Bo Yin?

Why won't you give up?

Then, why are you here?

I guess we share the same thought.

You also noticed...

that something's wrong about this house.

Who wants to share your thought?

I...

I was too lazy to come here before.

If it weren't for the sheet music,

I wouldn't step foot in this creepy place.

I'm counting on you, then.

What did you find?

When you were hurt by the poisonous smoke the other day,

I was wondering...

why wasn't the poisonous smoke there before?

And it happened to gush out when you got close?

But back then,

we had no time for that...

while leaving Shi Residence.

But the more I think about it, the stranger it gets.

That's why I decided...

to check it out here today.

Thank you.

I noticed that there was a hole...

behind the sheet music.

I took a closer look...

but got wounded due to the smoke.

Now that I think about it,

this doesn't seem to be an accident,

it's more like a warning.

Could there still be a trap?

The hole is gone.

Besides that,

I also discovered something important.

I tested it with a string.

The wall is empty.

If I'm not mistaken,

there should be a secret room.

Then the trigger...

should be somewhere around here.

I'll look around.

Why are you standing there?

Give me a hand.

I mean...

don't just stand there.

Think.

Where would the trigger be.

Young Master Yue,

is there any unusual room decoration,

or object that's out of place?

Even if there is, it'd be burnt to ashes now.
