Marry Me

Episode 3

Master Ju!

A group of people said...

they're coming for Ju Wine House.

Go and take a look.

I don't know what happened.

They're coming for me?

Who are they?

Go

Yes.

Ms Ju.

I'm sorry.

Our shop is closed today.

I'm not sure why you've come...

with all these?

You've incredible foresight.

I'm...

just keeping my promise.

I'm presenting the eight animals to you.

Please guide me.

Mu'er.

What's happening?

Why didn't you tell me you've accepted him?

Father.

It's not what you think.

Besides the eight animals,

I think...

you're forgetting something.

You said you would kneel...

-and ask... -Shut up.

Are you...

going to keep your promise and kneel before me...

or are you breaking your promise?

It seems that no matter what you do,

you'll lose face.

What should you do?

Ms Ju, I'll kneel down on behalf of Young Master.

I've seen the note...

that you gave me.

It's indeed what's missing from the first page.

I need your help.

But I won't let you help for nothing.

If you need my help.

I'll help you.

As for the result,

I can't guarantee it.

Little lamb.

No matter the result,

I'll bear it.

I won't implicate you.

This way, please.

Father, it's not what you think.

What's their relationship?

They...

I don't know.

You don't know?

Open the door.

I was ordered to investigate the case of the massacre of Shi Family.

Who dares defy imperial decree?

Just for a sheet music.

Is it worth it?

You returned to the capital...

and asked Her Majesty to meet outside the palace...

because you wish to obtain the Fuxi Score,

or was it something else?

What do you mean by

the Datong bloodline?

My reason for returning is no longer important.

It was my mistake.

I'm too impulsive.

All these...

are useless now.

Look around you.

How much longer will you keep quiet?

This is my own choice.

Don't concern yourself with me.

Do you think I won't find the culprit...

if you don't tell me?

I'll investigate.

They'll investigate too.

Stop!

Allowing you to come inside doesn't mean you can simply touch my things.

Since we want to cooperate,

we must understand each other.

The strings were fixed with great difficulty.

If you don't know about guqin,

please don't touch it.

It's just a guqin.

Do you need to make such a fuss?

You don't know the qin,

of course you won't understand my feelings.

You belittle me.

For those who study guqin,

they'll practise the mind first.

For those who play the qin,

the most important is the tone.

It's such a pity.

Pity?

Unfortunately,

this is an ordinary guqin.

It's made of ordinary shells.

And the strings are not made with the top-notch ice silk.

As for its surface,

it's still acceptable.

Good tools are prerequisite to the successful execution of a job.

So, even if...

you're good in playing guqin,

if you don't have a good instrument,

it's still useless.

How rude.

I was blinded by your arguments...

and I nearly changed my view about you.

It seems that you're just...

a rude, sanctimonious businessman.

Talking to you about guqin is like preaching to deaf ears.

It seems like they're arguing.

Really? Let me listen.

It's quiet.

Young Master Yue has given orders...

to eliminate all who eavesdrop.

Eliminate me?

This is my shop.

I listening outside my window,

how dare you eliminate me?

This can't be.

Mu'er is a girl.

I must take a look in case something happens.

Don't, sir.

Young Master Yue has given orders...

that without his permission,

no one can disturb him. Please don't make things difficult for me.

No one can disturb him?

That's fine.

But tell me.

What is their relationship?

Did Young Master Yue...

fall in love with Mu'er?

That's what I think.

However,

he once said that...

it cost too much money to marry a wife.

I think it's not what you think.

Not marrying her?

Why should I listen to you if he's not marrying her?

-Sir. -What are you doing?

-I'm sorry, sir. -What are you doing?

-I'm sorry. -What are you doing?

-Let's go. -What are you doing?

What's wrong with businessmen?

Only a businessman...

can see what's a treasure...

and what's a fake.

Unlike a bookish person like you,

that only know about glamorous, bombastic talk.

Can it bring you money?

If not for saving my master,

I wouldn't even bother with you.

I'm the one who tolerates you.

It's fine if you don't say thanks...

but now you're crying foul?

You haven't given me...

information about my master's case.

How can I say thanks to you?

Since we're talking about this,

I might as well tell you,

in case you trust your master too much...

and is kept in the dark.

Do you know...

why your master left the capital back then?

Move!

You can't go in.

You can't go in.

You can't go in.

Lord Long is here to see your master.

Inform him at once.

Lord Long.

To be honest,

my master's not home.

Please go back.

What?

He's not home again?

The people in Kun Palace also said that Master Shu's not in.

Why? Is he deliberately...

not doing his duty?

He's really not home.

I can't help it if you don't believe me.

So arrogant.

Brother, don't waste time on him.

We'll know after searching the place.

Who dares to enter without permission?

Outrageous!

Stop!

Leave.

Housekeeper, don't be rude.

Miss, you're here.

Shu Ruo Chen, Young Lady of Shu Family

My housekeeper has offended you.

Please forgive him.

My father is indeed not home today.

He entered the palace as he was summoned by Concubine Shu.

Young Lady Shu.

I didn't offend them.

They're being too much.

It's pardonable, don't fuss over small matters.

Master Long.

I'll tell my father when he's back.

Housekeeper, pour the tea.

No need.

I bothered you.

In that case, we'll leave now.

When Master Shu's back,

we'll discuss again.

Back then, your master...

didn't leave without saying...

but absconded to escape punishment.

No.

Impossible.

Listen here.

This is a royal secret.

I got the news with great difficulty.

I won't lie to you.

Now,

Concubine Shu is His Majesty's favourite.

His brother is the head of Kun Palace.

Your master bears the crime of murder again.

If the Shus catch him,

the old and new score will be settled together.

If I were you,

I rather not take the risk.

Thanks for telling me.

However,

no matter what others say,

I believe my master left...

for a reason back then.

Including this time.

I'll find out the truth.

Why are you so stubborn?

I said these...

so that you can protect yourself.

I understand that you're doing for my own good.

But he's my family's saviour.

I can't be a coward and ignore his safety.

Forget it.

For the Fuxi Score, I'll...

risk my life...

for you.

Thank you.

If you want to save your master,

follow me to a place.

I'll listen to you.

Shu Residence

Boss.

Boss.

Shu Bo acted without permission from Wujin Imperial Guards.

He obviously doesn't think much of us.

Now, Shi Bo Yin is badly injured.

Are we going to leave without any answers?

Send someone here...

to guard Shu Residence.

There's something wrong with Young Lady Shu.

What's her connection with this case?

When I was talking with her just now,

I saw some blood on her clothes.

It's suspicious.

Housekeeper, pour the tea.

No need.

I bothered you.

Understood.

Don't worry.

Xiao Liu will keep guard and find the evidence.

Shi Bo Yin...

left the capital long ago.

You hadn't kept in touch.

How did you know...

he has a reason to do so?

My master is kind.

He wouldn't kill people without reason.

Think about it.

Shi Residence is huge.

So many people were killed on scene.

We left and then returned.

The whole process only took ten minutes.

Furthermore,

the sheet music was destroyed on the spot.

If my master is really after the sheet music,

why did he set fire and kill people?

How was he able to do so much...

in such a short time?

You said he's not the murderer.

Why did he say nothing...

after being captured?

He doesn't want to clarify at all.

I'll find out the reason.

As long as I investigate this case,

I'll find the clue to clear my master's name.

By the looks of you,

it'd be hard to investigate.

What's wrong?

Long Residence

Are you done?

I really need to dress up like this?

Of course.

We're going to the Criminal Investigation Bureau.

You have to dress up as Long Family's servant...

to follow me in.

How can the servant work with this clothing?

I really admire the Longs' servants.

You're making a fuss about nothing.

It's obvious you're inexperienced.

There are personal servants...

and hard labour servants.

Just be grateful.

Many people can only dream of becoming a servant of Long Family.

They're just going there to be servant.

What's so great about that?

Turn around.

What's there to see?

Hurry up and go.

Do you want to go to the Bureau or not?

Yes.

Young Master Yue?

Have you seen enough?

Indeed.

When you don't speak,

you're quite lovable and cute.

Take the things...

and follow me.

Young Master Yue.

Brother, I'm amazed...

with your eyesight.

Just like you expected,

she sneaked out the back and rode the carriage herself.

To bury the corpse?

This is bad.

She's going to destroy the corpse.

Wait.

Brother.

It's a dog.

I saw it.

But we still need to watch Shu Residence.

As a precaution.

Poor Whitey.

But you hurt my father,

that's why you're dead now.

It's my fault.

I didn't manage to save you.

All I can do...

is to bury you here.

This is better than being my father's dish.

Brother.

What are you doing?

-Don't look. -No.

It's you who asked me to guard.

I must watch.

-You must not. -No, brother.

I'll just take a look.

No.

-I'll look. -Who's there?

Who's the pervert?

I've seen it, your turn.

Come back.

Stop there, pervert!

Calm down, it's a misunderstanding.

We didn't see anything.

We don't mean to offend you.

I'm sorry.

I didn't mean it.

I...

Luckily, I run fast.

Lord Long went out for business.

He'll be back after a few hours.

Please wait here.

My brother is busy recently.

He seldom comes home.

As his brother, I'm worried about him.

Therefore I came to visit him.

You all must have worked hard...

alongside Master Long, thus,

Young Master Yue has prepared some snacks for you.

Thank you.

Please rest here.

I'll distribute the snacks to my colleagues.

I didn't expect you to be so thoughtful.

The fool...

use brute force.

The wise...

use the brain.

There's no one here, let's move.

Where are you going?

To see the scroll.

Aren't we here...

to find something suspicious?

I brought you here...

not to find something...

I brought you here to see my brother...

to listen to...

the details of this case.

Even if everyone says...

my master is the murderer,

I won't believe it.

Unless my master told me so.

I must clear my master's name.

We had an agreement.

You must listen to my command.

I can terminate our cooperation if you're being like this.

Alright, just forget about the sheet music then.

Why are you so stubborn?

It's you who're being unreasonable.

We're here to check for clues.

How can we find evidence if we don't come inside?

These are the locations of the victims.

Strange.

What did you find?

There were people from the World's Best Inn...

that died in Shi Residence.

Zhu Fu is in for a ride.

Brother Yun?

He's investigating this case as well?

You know him?

You can just ask him to help you then.

He's the Deputy Minister of Justice.

Surely he is a more competent investigator.

Brother Yun is unlike profiteers like you.

He's fair and just.

I don't want to implicate him.

Isn't fair and just...

what you want?

I know.

In your heart,

you also think that...

your master is the murderer?

You...

Do you want the sheet music or not?

In your heart,

Brother Yun is high above the sky.

As for me, I'm the profiteer in the mud.

In that case,

just ask your Brother Yun to help you.

As for the sheet music,

I can don't want it.

Who's there? Hurry!

Why are you so childish?

That's not what I meant.

Who are you?

Capture her!

Yun Qing Xian, Deputy Minister of Justice

Brother Yun.

It's really you.

Thanks for saving me.

No problem, but why are you here?

Why did you take action without looking carefully?

What if you hurt me?

Who will be responsible?

Young Master Yue?

This is Lord Long's office.

No one can enter without permission.

Please rest at the lobby.

It's alright.

They have an appointment with me and Lord Long.

They're not trespassing.

Peace and Prosperity

Lord Long.

I didn't see clearly...

and accidentally hurt you.

Please forgive me.

I don't want to trouble you to send me back.

Why not we part here? I can go back myself.

It was me...

who offended you, I should apologise.

Besides, the public safety in the capital is bad recently.

I've the obligation to send you back.

Lord Long.

I have a favour to ask.

Do tell.

For what happened today,

can you keep it a secret?

About Whitey...

or for offending you?

Both.

Both.

My father and aunt have high hopes for me.

If they knew...

I did something improper,

they'll be disappointed.

I don't want my father...

to feel embarrassed in front of my aunt.

Don't worry.

I'll keep the secret.

But, your sword skills are superb.

You're practised.

Did your father teach you?

No, I learned it in secret.

These sword skills are indeed from my father...

but I only learned a little.

My father's skills are to the point of perfection.

So Lord Shu also know sword skills.

Lord Long, as the High Commander of Wujin Imperial Guards,

you probably see His Majesty often.

Yes, so?

I wonder...

how His Majesty looks like?

Pardon?

Nothing.

Lord Long.

This is not far from my house.

You need not send me. I'll go back by myself.

Let's go.

Go.

Be obedient.

Luckily you helped us just now.

If not, we would've become prisoners of Wujin Imperial Guards.

I know you're injured...

and is involved in the case because of your master.

To avoid suspicion,

I didn't go visit you.

Please forgive me.

You're just acting impartial because of your position.

I understand.

But my master...

Don't worry.

As long as it's within the law,

I'll definitely help you.

Thank you, Brother Yun.

There's another person here.

Don't make trouble.

Thank you...

for taking care of Mu'er.

What are you talking about?

Who are you to say thanks on behalf of Ms Ju?

By the way,

you're deeply involved in this case,

you should be more low profile.

Don't act ostentatiously.

Don't worry.

As long as I'm here,

I won't let anything happen to you.

I'll leave the case of my master to you then.

Don't worry.

I'll do everything to find out the truth.

Thank you, Brother Yun,

on behalf of my master.

By the way,

I've another favour.

Please say it.

I...

I would like to see my master.

Would it be convenient?

How about this?

Let's talk at another place.

A man and a woman together.

Shameless!

Why can't I tag along?

I'll investigate it myself.

I've arranged a few trusted aid to escort the children away...

from Shi Residence during chaos.

I made a big fuss asking for the sheet music...

to make it look convincing.

If not, how can we deceive Shu Bo?

Master.

Master.

Why are you here?

You shouldn't come here.

Go.

The people from Kun Palace is so vicious.

Master.

I'm not a good student.

I'm unable to get you out.

Otherwise, Brother Yun will be implicated.

Master.

Please endure for another few days.

I'll find the actual culprit...

and clear your name.

Master.

Please tell me what actually happened.

I have nothing to say.

You shouldn't be here.

Don't ever come here again.

And stop investigating this case.

Master.

You're obviously wrongly accused. Why won't you say anything?

I was ordered to investigate this case.

Do speak up if there's any injustice.

I'll seek justice for you.

Master.

Master.

Mu'er, are you okay?

Governor, what are you doing?

It's just a misunderstanding.

Lord Yun.

So you brought an outsider...

to the jail of Kun Palace.

Is this also the decree of His Majesty?

It's not a decree.

However, His Majesty didn't prohibit visitors.

You imprisoned the prisoner here...

and prohibit interrogation.

Why is that?

Who dares to...

prevent interrogation using the name of Kun Palace?

I was ordered by His Majesty...

to watch the prisoner.

I'll fully cooperate...

with investigations.

If you want to interrogate him,

you may do it at any time.

But the prisoner...

doesn't seem to appreciate the kindness.

Let's go.

Master.

Let's go.

Master.

I'll leave now.

In a few days,

I'll interrogate Shi Bo Yin.

Lord Yun, please be present.

Let's go.

Your disciple...

is interesting.

If you dare to hurt her,

I won't let you go!

You can't even protect yourself.

I want to see...

how you're going to protect her.

World's Best Inn

-This way, please. -Move!

Move!

Thank you, Master Zhu.

Young Lady Shan is here.

Hurry.

Stand there.

Shan'er.

Why didn't you let me know before coming?

I can go welcome you myself.

This is your first visit...

since the inn opened.

I didn't expect it to be so solemn.

I'm really touched.

I've told you multiple times.

Call me Ms Ding.

Also,

I put a red carpet...

because I don't want your place to stain my shoes.

I don't have other intention.

Alright.

Ms Ding's right.

Next time, before you're here,

I'll ask someone to prepare the red carpet.

What do you want to eat?

Just order at will, it'll be my treat.

I'm not here to eat.

I brought a friend here today.

It's you?

What happened today?

Why would Young Master Yue come to my shop?

Could it be you've bad eyesight...

and walked to the wrong place?

I...

came for your sake only.

It looks like the World's Best Inn...

won't be open for long.

Why not you propose a price and sell it to me?

Many parties are involved in the case of the massacre of Shi Family.

I guess it has caused...

a lot of impact on your restaurant as well.

Don't mention it.

I'm so unlucky.

My restaurant contracted Shi Residence's banquet.

It was supposed to be good business,

but trouble unexpectedly occurred.

The staff I sent there also died tragically.

That's why...

the declining business of your restaurant...

is known by everyone.

If you sell it to me,

you may still make a fortune.

No need to worry about me.

I've compensated the families of the staff.

A total of five families, all in full.

I'm not worried about people talking nonsense.

What did you say?

Five families?

Yes.

Five deceased.

Listen here.

Even so,

you can't hit me when I'm down.

There were people from the World's Best Inn...

that died in Shi Residence.

As expected, there's something strange.

Thank you, Mr. Zhu. Goodbye.

Didn't he want to do business?

Why did he leave suddenly?

Young Master Yue!

-Where are you going? -Young Lady Shan!

Young Lady Shan!

World's Best Inn

Young Master Yue!

-Young Master Yue! -Young Lady Shan.

Didn't you ask me here...

to negotiate with Zhu Fu...

about the selling of the World's Best Inn?

The World's Best Inn...

is hot property.

Zhu Fu wouldn't sell it.

Sorry for troubling you.

I still have things to do.

I'll leave now.

What's the thing?

I might be able to help.

It's nothing.

I don't want to trouble you.

By the way,

I remember when Yun Qing Xian...

was appointed as Deputy Minister of Justice,

he was recommended by Grand Master Ding.

Yun Qing Xian is my father's favourite disciple.

I heard that His Majesty appreciates him.

It's natural for my father to recommend him.

How is his relationship...

with Ju Mu'er?

Recently, I heard a lot of rumours...

about that Ju Mu'er.

Why are you suddenly interested in a nobody?

Young Master Yue.

Recently, there are a lot of rumours...

about you and Ju Mu'er.

When did you become so close with her?

Rumours.

It's all rumours.

I knew you wouldn't fall for...

a wine house owner's daughter easily.

What about a wine house girl?

Who are you?

Do we know each other?

It's really a small world.

You're Ju Mu'er?

I'm the second young lady of Grand Master Ding.

I don't know you.

Since you don't know me, how can you make an unfounded statement?

You ignorant wild girl!

How dare you speak with me like that!

I came to look for Young Master Yue.

I don't want to talk to you.

I left in a hurry yesterday.

I couldn't thank you for helping me with the investigation.

When I got injured,

you helped me find a physician.

Thank you, Young Master Yue.

You're welcome.

If you want to thank me,

help me to solve this trouble.

I'll be grateful to you.

I've known Young Master Yue for a long time,

I know he's always kind.

Even if it's a cat or dog,

he'll help too.

He helped you because he pitied you.

You should know better.

If you cause trouble...

and hurt his reputation...

I'm afraid you missed the point.

I'm...

really grateful that...

as he's worried I won't recover well,

he personally fed me with medicine multiple times,

and he also made sure that...

I drank the medicine.

How could I forget his kindness?

Young Master Yue.

If you need anything, please tell me.

I'll do my best...

to repay your kindness.

Personally...

fed...

you...

with medicine?

He's busy with business.

He won't need your help.

Since you've said thanks to him,

please go back earlier and rest.

Don't flirt with guys.

Young Master Yue has something to do.

I'll send you back on behalf of him.

Thank you.

But how can I trouble you to send me?

I wouldn't dare.

It's no trouble.

It's alright.

It's alright.

I don't need you to send me.

Hugging together.

This is absurd.

I'm furious!

Ju Wine House

You left in a hurry that day.

There's still poison in your body.

The physician said that...

your eyes were hurt by poison gas.

If not treated in time,

you might go blind.

There's no one now,

why are you pretending to be concerned?

You...

I don't want to bicker with you.

I think you...

misunderstood about something.

I have no feelings for Ding Yan Shan.

Not even sibling's affection.

Your acting...

was just to help me out.

-You... -Also,

you've offended Young Lady Shan.

I don't know what trouble might come to you in the future.

You're thinking too much.

However, I'm here this time...

because I'm worried about your health.

After all, you still need to help me write Fuxi Score.

Do you really think that...

my master would kill people for a sheet music?
