Marry Me

Episode 29

Shu Residence

I'm here today to talk about...

Ruo Chen.

I had her hidden in a temple previously...

because I was afraid that she would be implicated in Ding Sheng's case.

Yet we have failed to guard the place effectively,

Ding's men almost got her

Fortunately, nothing happened to her.

From now on,

I want to keep her under my protection.

I don't want her to be in any danger anymore.

Father,

Long Teng did that...

to protect Shu family and me.

It was an accident that Ding Sheng's men tracked me down in the temple.

If it hadn't been for Long Teng,

I...

would have been murdered...

before I even left the residence.

Thankfully you're back safe and sound.

I'm relieved now.

It's getting late now.

I've got your room ready, how about...

-I'm not staying here. -Ruo Chen is not staying here.

Rest assured, Lord Shu.

I'll arrange a place for Ruo Chen.

And then I'll pick a date...

to marry Ruo Chen into the Long family.

About this...

Ruo Chen was supposed to be married into the palace.

I hope you two...

can think this through before you decide.

I have consulted about this,

there were similar cases in the past years.

Women who were unqualified or didn't enter the palace...

could marry others.

The reason we came back together to Shu Residence today...

is to tell you that...

we...

have made up our mind.

Chen'er,

I have only one thing to say.

No matter what happens,

keep in mind that...

Shu Residence will always be your home.

Let's take shelter there.

Let's go.

Oh, Shi Bo Yin,

you were always a step ahead of me,

and you still won't leave me alone even after you're dead.

I'm racking my brain...

for your secrets.

So this is it.

This symbol...

looks familiar.

No.

Topography of Ximin

The dragon gave birth to twins, one hides in Chuyun.

Chuyun Mountain.

The dragon gave birth to twins,

one hides in Chuyun.

The dragon gave birth to twins.

Children of the dragon.

Could this be related with His Majesty?

Topography of Ximin

What are you thinking about?

Topography of Ximin

You found something in the sheet music?

Shi Bo Yin's work...

is too sophisticated.

I haven't figured it out yet.

By the way,

where did he live when he was in Ximin Kingdom?

Chuyun Mountain.

There was a small village in the mountain.

He lived in seclusion there.

Putting all his heart and soul on music.

Undisturbed by anyone.

Why are you asking this all of sudden?

Have you found any clue?

I just wanted to know.

I'm thinking that once everything is settled here,

we can live there in seclusion.

You...

That was Bo Yin's residence when he was alive, how could you...

I won't live with you there.

You'd better get that idea out of your head.

When Shi Bo Yin was alive, I didn't give up.

A rival is gone now,

there's no way I will give up.

Just wait and see,

one day,

you'll accept me.

Chuyun Mountain.

Lie Residence's case file

I just need to find out the real reason Shi Bo Yin left the palace,

then I'll be able to connect the dots of his hidden secrets.

Shi Bo Yin's case file

Bring him here.

Move.

My lord, please take a look.

Who's got the nerve...

to break into the office of Ministry of Justice?

Lock him up.

Yes.

Walk.

Ministry of Justice

Leave us.

Yes.

Lord Hua, you're unbreakable indeed.

I admire that.

I advised you before,

you should know which way the wind blows.

I had hoped you could stay out of it.

But why didn't you listen?

I was just there to investigate...

Shi Bo Yin's case file.

Yet you seem to be overreacted.

Looks like you were involved in...

Shi Bo Yin's death, Lord Yun.

The more nervous you are,

the more it showed that you're guilty,

you're trying to cover it up.

You can't even save yourself now,

don't worry about that.

You'd better come clean with me.

Don't think that I can't do anything...

just because you won't tell me.

The dragon gives birth to twins,

one hides in Chuyun.

Lord Hua,

are you familiar...

with this sentence?

Where did you hear that from?

I have already known...

what you found.

I advise you...

it's better to know when to quit.

Oh right,

the woman you love, Ya Li Li,

you still have her hidden in your home, right?

Rascal.

You rascal!

Don't you dare lay the finger on her!

Don't go.

Don't go!

Come back here!

Work Hard

Young Master Yue, we have a problem.

I heard Hua Yi Bai broke into Ministry of Justice's office last night.

He was caught on spot by Yun Qing Xian.

If he starts digging into it, it could be bad for Ju Mu'er.

We have to figure something out.

Master,

women could really change their attitude faster than the weather.

Since when do you...

care so much about...

Second Young Mistress?

You've been working under Young Master Yue for so long now.

How are you still so insensible?

Back then, I didn't really know Ju Mu'er.

But after the incident with the bandits,

I realised that she's actually quite loyal.

I misunderstood her in the past.

Don't let anyone else know about this.

Take Ms Ding to a safe place and lay low for now.

I'll make other arrangements when I'm back.

Work Hard

Yes.

Master, where are you going?

I'm going to find out Hua Yi Bai's whereabouts.

Be careful.

Ms Ya, are you sure this is the place?

It should be.

Hua Yi Bai...

is always joking,

I have no idea whether his information this time is real or fake.

Lord Hua has told me before...

that he has found the place where the body was buried.

I believe that he won't joke about that.

Look at that,

is that a blank tablet?

Yes.

He told me that...

the body was buried under a blank tablet.

Why isn't he here yet?

We agreed that we would open the coffin to examine the body tonight.

Yet he has gone missing for the whole day.

I'm going to teach him a lesson when he arrives.

Ms Ya, maybe we should stop waiting.

If someone finds us here,

I'm worried that we could be in trouble.

How could this be?

It's empty.

There is no body inside.

I knew he's still alive.

Calm down, Ms Ya.

Just because there is no corpse in here,

it doesn't mean Master is still alive.

Many people had witnessed Master's execution.

Generally speaking, it's impossible that Master is still alive.

Yet his coffin has been cracked open.

This could be a setup.

Ms Ya, we can't stay here.

Let's get out of here first, and we'll figure it out afterwards.

Bo Yin, Bo Yin.

Ms Ya.

Ms Ya, that is not my master.

Ms Ya.

Bo Yin,

is that you?

Bo Yin,

where are you? Come out!

Who are you?

Why are you pretending to be Shi Bo Yin...

and playing tricks here?

You will find out...

if you can even make it through tonight.

Is Hua Yi Bai in your hands?

What did I ever do to you?

Why did you go through all this trouble to do this?

What do you want?

Kill her now.

Go after her.

Ms Ya!

Ms Ya!

Ms Ya!

Ms...

It's me.

I'm here to bring you back.

You know that...

I would never hurt you.

You might have forgotten, Lord Yun.

I'm married to Young Master Yue.

I'm the Second Young Mistress of Long now.

There is nothing to say between us.

What do you want?

So what if you're married into the Long family?

I met you earlier than Long Yue.

My feelings for you...

aren't less than him.

I love you with all my heart.

-But why did you... -You know nothing about love.

There's nothing left to say between us.

No one can stop me...

from getting what I want.

So what if Long Yue is around?

I'll still get you back.

You're sneaky.

Even if you get what you want, you won't be happy.

What about Ya Li Li?

What did you do to her?

I'm just doing my job.

I'm not the one who has something against them.

Ya Li Li and Hua Yi Bai...

won't survive today.

Just give up.

I don't you to get hurt.

Come with me.

You only got your way because I trusted you.

I should've told everyone...

you, Yun Qing Xian, is a devil.

I would rather die...

than let you have what you want.

It's dangerous there, don't go!

Mu'er!

Ms Ya, let's get out here.

How did you get hurt?

Go now.

No, your wound needs to be treated now.

-I have to bring you back now. -No.

Their men are out there.

We won't be able to leave for now.

They have gotten...

Hua Yi Bai.

He's probably dead.

This is my fault,

I should've known that this is Yun Qing Xian's scheme.

Forget about that now. Let me get you out of here first.

I was too stubborn,

I insisted to find out if Bo Yin's still alive.

If I hadn't come back to the capital,

Hua Yi Bai wouldn't have been dragged into this.

Let's go.

Hurry up.

She won't get far, she's hurt.

They should be around here.

He's so tough.

Brother Yun,

it's your turn now.

-Get up. -Get up.

How dare you hurt her.

It's Hua Yi Bai.

Ms Ya,

this is all because of me, I'll go.

Ms Ya.

In all these years,

I've owed him so much.

This time,

I won't let him suffer alone.

Ms Ya.

Ms Ya, Ms Ya.

Run!

Run!

Run.

Sorry,

this is all my fault.

Ju Mu'er is close by.

She can hear you if there is anything you want to tell her.

There was an underlying message...

of your last song.

The dragon gave birth to twins,

one hides in Chuyun.

Shi Bo Yin,

I have competed against you for most of my life,

I didn't expect that I would end up dying because of you.

Forget it,

I, Hua Yi Bai,

die for a good reason.

I have no regrets now.

Lord Hua,

I see you've chosen to do the hard way.

You still won't come clean with me...

at this point.

It's still the same question,

if you had met me first,

instead of...

Shi Bo Yin,

would you have chosen me?

I've owed you too much...

in this life.

I can only pay you back in next life.

Yi Bai,

I've been cold to you,

do you hate me for that?

With you by my side...

in the afterlife.

That's more than enough for me.

How affectionate.

Well, I shall grant your wish then.

I'll kill you both.

Tell me now.

Other than the verses,

what else have you found out?

If there is a next life,

I will choose to...

meet...meet you first.

Li Li.

Li Li

Mu'er.

Young Master Yue.

Thank goodness you're fine.

What about them?

I'm sorry.

I was too late, I couldn't save them.

Mu'er!

Mu'er!

Ms Ya.

I'm sorry.

It's all because of me.

Sorry.

Yun Qing Xian won't stop until he gets what he want.

I'll send someone...

to escort you to Ximin Kingdom now.

I'll bury them properly.

Long Residence

Two days ago, Long Yue left the capital with his wife hastily.

But why are...

Feng Wu and Xiao Bao gone too?

Work Hard

Did you do something wrong...

to Feng Wu again?

Feng Wu and Xiao Bao are my wife and son.

I am more anxious about their disappearance than anyone else.

I have no idea what happened.

I could only hope that they are safe.

How would I do something wrong to her?

Think about...

whether you have offended anyone recently.

Or...

whether there is any suspicious people stopped by.

Also,

did Long Yue say anything before he left?

Could he have brought Feng Wu and her son with him?

Long Yue left with Mu'er.

They have nothing to do with Feng Wu and Xiao Bao.

Chief,

someone spotted that Mistress...

and your son left the capital last night.

They headed west.

West?

That is where Feng Wu's hometown is.

Could she really bring Xiao Bao back to Ximin Kingdom?

Why did she leave without telling me?

She didn't even leave any message.

Brother,

could they really be in trouble?

Long Fei,

are you sure Xiao Bao is your son?

Haven't you had any doubt about that?

Brother,

you're out of line.

Xiao Bao has got my intelligence.

No doubt about that.

The top priority now is to find out where they are.

When Feng Wu first brought Xiao Bao to the Long Residence,

she just said you slept with her once.

But we've never verified...

Xiao Bao's identity.

It now appears that...

she has been acting suspiciously.

I don't care about that.

Xiao Bao's surname is Long, and he called me his father,

that made him my son.

I'll find them no matter what, we won't be separated.

I'll go to Ximin Kingdom now to look for them.

Work Hard

Fine.

It would be better to sort it out once you find them.

But bring more men with you.

Look for Long Yue first when you reach there.

Make plans after you talk to him.

So that you can look after each other.

Let's go.

Jinlong Inn

Master,

it seems that this place has been abandoned for a long time.

No wonder our caravan...

kept being robbed after we crossed the Ximin border.

Oh, Ju Mu'er,

you're so unlucky.

You weren't with Young Master Yue when he had his glorious days.

Now that the The Long's Inn has fallen.

Looks like you're going to go through a hard times with Young Master Yue now.

We certainly won't drag you into this.

Mu'er didn't marry me for my money.

Young Master Yue never lack the ability in business.

He could just start over.

You know me best.

The robbery of The Long's Inn...

wasn't reported...

because someone has suppressed the news.

Who is there?

Stop there.

Don't move.

It's you.

Why are you here in Ximin?

I should be asking this.

You should've stayed in the capital,

what are you doing here in Ximin?

Mu'er came here with Young Master Yue.

I followed them...

because I was worried.

That is simply not true, Young Lady Shan.

It was Mu'er who was concerned about your safety.

She brought you here because she worried that...

no one could look after you in the capital.

It's not the other way around like you said.

By the way,

what happened here?

Don't even mention,

I've been hiding in Ximin since last time.

Bandits are rampant here lately.

Residents nearby have been evacuated.

However,

this group of bandits is quite organised.

They are unlike most bandits.

They seem to intend to occupy this area.

It's like they are looking for something.

Judging from the mountain road,

this place is not far from Chuyun Mountain.

Are you going to Chuyun Mountain?

The rest of the way will be dangerous.

I'll ask Li Ke to go with me.

If it's dangerous,

all the more reason I should go with you.

Wherever you go, I'm going with you.

My friend,

if you don't want to put Young Lady Shan in danger,

take good care of her.

I have years of experience in travelling around.

I know what to do.

I don't need you to tell me.

Who was the one that...

said he had been hiding in Ximin.

And you're acting arrogant now.

All right, let's go.

Young Master Yue,

bring me with you.

I have to protect you.

Let go of me!

I need to protect Young Master Yue!

Jinlong Inn

Sheng, put me down!

It seems that...

they are made for each other.

By the way, Brother Li,

my master had lived in Ximin for many years.

I'll need your help to...

find out my master's residence.

You're too polite, Mistress.

I'll go now.

Li Ke said this is the place.

Other than Master's daily necessities,

there isn't any clues.

Master must be implying something...

with the verses he left behind.

What is the secret...

that he was protecting with his life?

Mu'er,

do you remember Shi Residence?

If there really is a connection between these two,

then there should be a clue...

hidden in this house.

Mu'er, it's around 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. now.

There is only a period of time mentioned in the sheet music.

It's this time period.

The clue is hidden indeed.

So this is the truth.

Although your master was just a Master Musician,

he witnessed how the imperial court...

was manipulated and controlled by wicked consort and corrupt officials.

Sons of consorts were murdered.

Shu family was too powerful,

as they concealed the misdeeds they did.

And at that time,

Ji Yan, former princess of Ximin Kingdom,

although she had become a maid,

the emperor had slept with her.

She then gave birth to twin boys.

She had no choice...

but to beg my master to bring the twins out of the palace.

To conceal their identity,

Master decided to raise them separately.

One of them was entrusted to Shi family,

while the other one left with Master,

in order to protect the royal bloodline.

The dragon gave birth to twins, one hides in Chuyun.

If that was true,

then Yun Qing Xian would have known the secret by now.

He'll get here soon.

We should leave now.

The secret that Master protected with his life,

we have to find this child before others do.

Watch out.

This letter is too important.

We need to bring it back to the capital as proof to find out the truth.

Poisons are attached on the arrow.

We can't stay in here.

Let's fight our way out.

Go.

Thank you for saving us.

How should we address you?

Yes, Milady.

Go in.

Ladies,

you saved our lives,

we are grateful for that.

But...

my husband and I have inhaled some poisoned smoke.

We were wondering if you could provide us some antidote?

Thank you.

Who are you people?

Ladies.

-Young Master Yue. -Mu'er.

Why did you do that?

You can never be too careful.

I'll test the pill first.

You can take it if I'm fine.

You...

You have already eaten one.

We either live together or die together.

But...

they just saved our lives.

There's no point poisoning us again.

They are keeping us here...

must be because...

Young Master Yue, you're scaring me.

You're scaring me.

Are you all right, Young Master Yue?

Didn't you eat one too?

You're fine now,

what could happen to me?
