Eternal Love Rain

Episode 5

A little turtle like you won't understand.

What did you say?

I said

once I become the dragon's bride,

you won't regret your decision for lending money to me.

Nonsense.

You're going to marry a dragon

just because it appeared when you were born?

If that was true, there would be countless of women

who would become the dragon's bride.

What you said is absolutely absurd.

Also, how can you be sure

you are going to marry the Black Dragon?

Ning Xiu Rui,

this is the longest

you've ever talked to me.

Also, why are you mad?

I just think what you said is ludicrous.

If you don't move now, you can spend the rest of your night here.

What are you doing?

Ning Xiu Rui,

I'm aware that

I'm special to you because I possess the inverted scale.

So from now on, you can count on me

about the inverted scale.

And you can trust me with your secret, all right?

And of course, I know this is such a big sacrifice for me.

Don't feel guilty about it.

And I'll count on your to take care of my father.

I trust you.

Let's do our best.

Keep it up.

How did she manage to make something so forceful

sound so sincere?

Su Yin Yin,

I'm not promising you anything.

Here, take a look.

Thank you, sir.

Strange Tales of Dragons

New release of Tales of Dragons.

Consort of The Dragon

Sir.

Take a look. They are all newly released.

Ning Residence

How is the investigation on Su Bin Quan going?

I heard that the Directorate of Ceremonies' witness,

the inspector of eunuchs has disappeared after the incident.

Rumour has it that Su Bin Quan had killed him to keep his mouth shut.

I know Su Bin Quan.

This is probably not his doing.

Find out where the inspector has been

and who he has been in contact with lately.

Yes, my lord.

Ning Xiu Rui.

Leave through the side door.

You're drawing here.

Drawing could take you a lot of effort.

Here, allow me to pour your a cup of tea.

This is the only white ceramic set made in the Li Dynasty.

Never mind, it's fine.

This tea set is so old.

I saw that you have more of them in the front room.

Why don't I

get rid of them for you someday?

No need.

Go and rest.

Stop being so intense.

It's so quiet in your residence.

I'm worried that you'll be afraid drawing alone.

How about this? You focus on your drawing,

I'll tidy up the rest for you.

You should've put away these ancient books

after you are done reading them.

Here, let me give you a hand.

Just sit there.

I'm sorry.

Someday when I can go back to Su Residence,

I'll let you pick one or two pieces that you like.

If you don't find anything you like,

I'll buy you some new ones,

no matter the price.

Let me pour you another cup of tea.

Don't be mad.

Calm down.

Don't move.

Don't do anything more.

I'm begging you.

Please leave my study.

How can I leave when you're doing this?

Ning Xiu Rui,

actually, I came here today

to ask you for

a small favour.

What more do you want?

You see,

since you know so much about the sea,

can you pass on a message

to the Black Dragon for me?

Su Yin Yin,

don't push your luck.

Leave now.

All right, I will.

Sir, are you looking to hire a scribe?

Go to this place

and check if the old woman there is well.

Buy her some food.

All right.

Will do.

-Where is he? -Did he get away?

Who were those guys?

Go back with me to report.

Ask our men to continue investigating.

Mo Residence

Mr Mo.

What did you do with that young eunuch

of Imperial Household Department

who was guarding the tributes with Su Bin Quan?

Rest assured, Young Master.

I've hid him in the black market that is full of all kinds of people.

We've got eyes everywhere in there.

There's nowhere to run.

But...

But what?

Spit it out.

It seems that some other people have been investigating secretly

about the missing young eunuch in the past two days.

Just as expected.

As my father said,

someone is getting restless

after seeing Su Bin Quan in trouble.

Go.

Send some more men.

Find out who sent those guys.

Yes, Young Master.

Also, keep an eye on the

young eunuch of Imperial Household Department.

Don't worry, Young Master.

I'm working on it.

He has a grandmother.

I have her with me.

With her in our hands,

that young eunuch can only do as we tell him.

Even if he gets caught,

whether he's the witness or decoy,

it's not for sure.

That's good.

By the way,

how is Yin Yin

doing?

Our informer said

Su Yin Yin has been going in and out of Ning Residence everyday.

She's probably been taken in by the Ning residence.

Keep an eye on Yin Yin.

Let me know

if anything happens.

You got it, Mr Mo.

Yin Yin.

Why did you still end up in Ning Residence?

Hall of Supreme Principle

Report.

Report.

Your Majesty, we've got news about the crown prince.

Tell me now.

When we rounded up Crown Prince last time...

No, I mean,

when we tried to invite Crown Prince back last time,

he was rescued by a young girl with great fighting skills.

And then she fought our men off.

After that, they...

Get to the point.

We found Crown Prince's shelter.

Where is it?

-It is at... -Ji'er is at my place.

Leave us be.

Yes.

Master,

you never tell me in advance when something happens.

You're putting me in an awkward position.

I've been busy lately.

So this issue about Ji'er has been put off for a while.

Busy?

You've been leading a reclusive life, Imperial Scholar.

No one dares to disturb you.

How are you busy?

I've taken in someone recently.

You've taken in someone else, other than Ji'er?

I had a moment of compassion.

You didn't come here just to tell me about Ji'er, did you?

Su Bin Quan's case is all over the town.

What do you think about it?

Su Bin Quan is a stubborn old man.

He didn't do this.

But

for as long as I can remember,

you've never asked about the affairs of the court.

Why are you asking me about Su Bin Quan today?

Have you taken members of Su family into your custody?

Are they asking for your help?

Preposterous.

I never make any promises to women.

So you are taking this opportunity

to take revenge on that daughter of Su?

I'm not the kind of person who takes advantage of other people's misfortunes.

Master,

the answer is in your eyes.

I got it.

You...

Xingyuan Pawnshop

Boss.

Ms Su,

you're covering yourself up, despite the heat?

It's for protection from the sun.

Inform Mr Mo now

Put it away first.

Ms Su is here.

Make some tea for Ms Su with our freshly picked tea leaves.

Got it.

Please hold on, Ms Su.

Boss.

I'll just cut to the chase then.

Have you seen this before?

What is this?

This is called inverted scale.

Inverted scale?

I had to go through a lot of ancient books

to figure out what it looks like.

It is said that this thing

comes from a turtle.

Without this, the turtle can't go home.

Since it is a treasure from a turtle's body,

it must be a thing that can't be found in the marketplace.

Maybe the turtle rested on the shore.

And then, maybe it left it

on a cliff or something.

Cliff?

Good point, good point.

Pawn

Out of the way!

Cliff...

-Where can I find a cliff? -Yin Yin.

Where are you going?

Why do you care where I go?

Yin Yin,

you are now the daughter of a criminal.

You're wandering around in Shengjing

when you should be staying at home.

You seem to be in a leisurely mood.

Pawn

What are doing in a pawn shop?

Are you short of money?

Yin Yin, you can come to me if you're short of money.

I'll definitely help you.

I told you, my father is innocent.

Besides, someone will help me save my father.

I don't care about your hypocrisy.

What are you doing here today?

Yin Yin,

I told you to marry me but you didn't listen.

You just had to get involved with that Ning Xiu Rui.

-You... -Stay away from me, stay away.

Yin Yin, you know,

if you had agreed to marry me,

none of this would have happened.

What do you mean?

Did you play a part in what happened to my family?

I...

Don't talk nonsense.

Yin Yin, I just need you to beg me.

If you beg me today and tell me you did wrong,

I'll let you go.

Mo Cheng Feng,

I was right about you.

You are a rascal.

Rascal?

Fine.

I'm going to take Young Lady Su to the Supreme Court today.

Let them interrogate her to see if she helped

Su Bin Quan's destroy national treasure.

I said it before.

My father and family are innocent!

How can you arrest me without any proof?

You are taking revenge on the Su family

just because I refused to marry you, aren't you?

You are sabotaging me on purpose today.

Su Yin Yin, stop being so arrogant.

The Su family has been existing in name only in Shengjing Capital.

Don't think I don't know that you've been pawning

your father's paintings to pretend that you're still well off.

Today,

I'm going to show you what happens when you mess with me.

I would really like to see who else can protect you.

Guards.

Take this daughter of a criminal away!

Master, are you a little bit

attracted to her?

If you are, you...

Why did he suddenly disappear when I talk about the girl?

He's acting strange.

Looks like I'll have to pay a visit

to check it out myself.

I'll bring Li Ji home as well.

Pawn

What is going on?

The weather was fine just now.

Hold on, hold on to that.

What's with the wind?

Pawn

Where did it come from?

Ning Xiu Rui, you again.

You just like to ruin things for me, don't you?

Fine.

In that case,

don't blame me for taking an unfair advantage today.

I said it before.

Aside from me, no one can touch her,

including you.

Hold on tight.

That was freaky.

Ning Xiu Rui.

I knew something is up with you.

What are you looking at? Get lost!

Get off me.

Ning Xiu Rui,

you can fly.

And you can fly this far.

This must be a skill you've picked up when you were in the ocean.

You know quite a lot.

I've always liked to read

novels with strange tales.

So you don't have to be worried that you would scare me.

Since I was a child, I've always felt connected to the sea.

Even though you're not a dragon

but just a little turtle,

I'll still be your friend.

Su Yin Yin, I told you.

I'm not a turtle.

Do you hear me clearly?

The inverted scale you told me, is unique to you turtles, right?

I'm a dragon, do you hear me?

Stop joking.

There can't be so many dragons in the world.

Are you going to tell me

you're the big, black dragon next?

I'm not joking.

All right, sure.

You're a dragon.

Transform yourself now.

Transform?

Like you can

transform into a dragon and leap into the sea.

And you can fly up from the sea.

This is absurd.

You can't do it, can you?

I don't have to explain my identity to you.

Fine.

If you really are a dragon,

why don't you go back to the sea then?

I can't.

A woman who looked a lot like you

took away my inverted scale,

and I haven't been able to return to the sea for hundreds

and thousands of years because of her.

What are you doing?

Don't worry.

You saved me today.

I will help you find the inverted scale

and get you back to your turtle mother.

Don't go back for now.

I'm going to take care of Mo Cheng Feng first.

Don't tell anyone about what happened today.

-Or else I will... -Or else you'll torment me horribly.

All right, I got it. Don't worry, little turtle.

This will be our little secret from now on.

You must always watch out

Mo Residence

for that old man, Su Bin Quan.

Father, Ning Xiu Rui just...

Leave us be.

Yes, sir.

Father,

you have no idea.

Ning Xiu Rui is definitely not an ordinary man.

He disappeared with Yin Yin in the blink of an eye right in front of me.

Such ability is beyond the reach of common martial art practitioner.

Haven't I told you before?

Don't mess with him.

His background is mysterious. Don't make an enemy of him.

Understood?

Father,

I still don't understand.

Why are you so afraid of that Ning Xiu Rui?

Ning Xiu Rui

isn't a mere imperial scholar.

I was a candidate for the court exam at the same time as Su Bin Quan.

I passed three exams in a row.

And your grandfather was well-respected in the court.

I had thought it would be very easy for me

to be the top imperial scholar.

I didn't expect Zhang You Lan would get in the way.

His Majesty took his advice

and appointed that old, little-known

Su Bin Quan as the top imperial scholar.

I came in second.

After that,

Zhang You Lan accused our Mo family

for colluding with foreigners.

In order to get rid of the future trouble once and for all,

your grandfather sent me to kill Zhang You Lan.

But I saw him again

that fateful day.

You're saying that

Zhang You Lan didn't die 18 years ago.

The point is

don't underestimate Ning Xiu Rui.

Don't provoke him.

If Ning Xiu Rui really is Zhang You Lan,

and if he's working with the Su family,

it could bring great misery to Mo family.

No wonder you wanted to take down the Su family first.

That's right.

That old thing Su Bin Quan

has been hindering us

over the past 18 years.

Before they join forces,

we must get rid

of him first.

Feng'er.

You mustn't let Su Yin Yin

hold you back from what's more important.

But Father,

Yin Yin has rejected me several times in front of so many people.

It's embarrassing for me.

No way.

I have to let Yin Yin beg me.

Don't worry.

Father.

-You... -See you later.

This kid.

Guard.

Finish Su Yin Yin off

before Feng'er makes his move.

Yes.

Ning Residence

It's a bit hot. I'm going to wait a little longer.

The dragon carries the girl into the sky.

Its breath turns into clouds.

The sky rains when it exhales.

Will the Black Dragon ever treat me like this?

Hold on tight.

Why am I thinking of that little turtle now?

How did you get here?

How would I know?

Did you make this happen?

It's you who suddenly appeared in my bathtub.

Yet you said I'm the one who did this?
