that NASA do a better of job

when our men go up there.

And we want real-time updates
about their flights.

Five hours after lift-off, Gemini 6

was less than a foot away from
Frank Borman and Jim Lovell,

who were orbiting the earth in Gemini 7.

This is the first space
rendezvous in history.

We've beaten the Russians.

It seems there's nothing

American ingenuity can't overcome.

with an unmanned agena target vehicle.

But rookie Captain Neil Armstrong

was able to recover and fly
the craft home manually.

The Gemini 9 space walk
had to be aborted.

This means NASA still hasn't
proven that an astronaut

can work efficiently and
effectively outside.

And if we can't do that,
we can't go to the moon.
