= You Are the Miracle =

= Episode 13 =

Chen Meng.

Are you okay?

Let me get you a glass of water.

Have we finished the mission?

You've done a good job.

Has the suspect been caught?

Where is Lin Ze?

It was almost the appointed time

when I arrived.

He must have arrived.

He told me not to be late.

Zhu Zixiong.

Lin Ze didn't go into the fire scene, did he?

Right?

Lin Ze.

We've found him.

Director Qin.

Both of them were not breathing

when we arrived.

Have you identified the victims?

From the scene,

the bodies were face down.

They must have been moved.

One of the bodies was close to the fire.

Its face have been charred and blackened.

It is impossible to identify it at present.

It needs to be sent back to the agency for identification.

The other one was far away the fire.

He could have escaped.

But the fire was so big that the building was collapsed.

He passed out and inhaled a lot of smoke.

And died by asphyxiation eventually.

We tried to rescue him. But...

Let me get you a glass of water.

Chen Meng. Chen Meng.

We have identified him now.

He is the officer of Binjiang Precinct, Lin Ze.

Director Qin, please sign your name here.

Chen Meng.

Just take him away.

Excuse me. Excuse me.

Please step aside.

Chen Meng.

Wait!

Wait!

Chen Meng.

Just go!

Let's go.

Stop!

Chen Meng.

Chen Meng.

That's not him! That's not him!

Chen Meng.

Chen Meng, calm down.

Director Qin and I arrived at the scene at the first time.

Except the people you rescued and you,

there was no survival.

Lin Ze took too much time.

Let me go! I want to take a look.

I beg you!

Can you calm down?

Just let me take a look.

Let me go! Let me go!

Chen Meng.

Let me go! Let me go!

Chen Meng.

Let me go!

Chen Meng, Lin Ze is dead.

No, he is not dead.

He is still alive.

Didn't you hear that?

Lin Ze is dead.

What Director Qin signed was the death certificate.

Lin Ze is dead.

Can you wake up a little?

Zhu Zixiong, we are not idiots.

What are you shouting at?

Chen Meng.

Mengmeng.

Chen Meng.

Doctor! Doctor!

Doctor!

With your IQ, it's better to be protected

instead of causing troubles for others in the real world.

Did it ever occur to you that

you were taking control of my life as well

when you went to Director Qin and offered me the chance?

But I went anyways.

Do you wonder why?

I don't know,

and I'm not interested in knowing.

I don't want to hear your preaching anymore.

There's no preaching.

It's just because I like you.

I firmly believe that

you are the person who will always be by my side.

# What needs to be said, I haven't said it yet #

They lied to me.

You haven't asked me to marry you yet.

We haven't had a wedding yet.

And you said we were going to have two babies.

One is like you and the other one is like me.

We will live in a house outside the city center.

We will keep lots of cats

with bells on their necks.

You like dogs.

It's fine to keep dogs.

But I'm too lazy to walk the dogs.

Mengmeng, I'm sorry.

Why are you apologizing?

It's fine to have you back.

You used to be so strong

and so brave

when you were alone.

You need to believe that...

You can do just as well without me.

Stop!

Things will pass.

Including the people you thought you could never forget.

And those things you thought you could never overcome.

It will pass.

Stop it, please.

Please.

Alright, I'm running out of time.

I gotta go.

# You won't be the last passenger in my life anyway. #

Mengmeng, take good care of yourself.

Mengmeng is gone.

Xia Tian, are you sure she is here?

I am sure.

I know her so well.

Chen Meng.

Take it easy.

Mengmeng.

Just eat some.

Mengmeng.

What have you been like in these two days?

Just eat something.

Just take some bites, okay?

I don't want to persuade you.

Just like you have enlightened me many times.

You know that...

I don't expect to find my true love.

Everything will come to an end.

Just like people will be separated someday.

I'd be happy if I were you.

At least, he loved you so much

when you were together.

But you're not me.

You don't know what he means to me.

You are right. I am not you.

I don't know what he means to you.

But I want to tell you that...

Just like all the bastards I've met,

What you have to face now

is the fact that...

Lin Ze can't stay with you anymore.

But he is Lin Ze.

Chen Meng is your friend.

You should comfort her now.

Comfort and understanding are useless.

I'm worried about her.

The more she feels the pain,

the quicker she will be sober.

= Building One =

I swear:

I volunteer to be a police

of The People's Republic of China.

= The 2018 Graduation Ceremony of Binjiang Police College =

I will be loyal to the party, serve the people.

I will bear true faith and allegiance to

be the builder and defender of = Building One =

the cause of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. = Building One =

I know you're brave.

And what you did indeed showed your bravery.

But I also wanna be a police officer,

an excellent police officer.

Then maybe one day,

I would also let you

experience the same pain.

= Building One =

Mengmeng, why are you here?

Captain Yong.

Take it slowly.

Captain Yong, could you do me a favor?

What's wrong?

I didn't work hard at school before.

I want to go back to school for study after work.

And I can go to the library to do some research.

Mengmeng, I'm glad that...

You made this decision.

But you have to learn to grow and face the reality.

Mengmeng.

Here will always be your home.

I just want to feel that he is still here.

He...

He is so smart.

Would he see things differently?

I just want to try.

I want to be like him.

I really want to have a try.

# You are my answer. #

# Like light and shadow floating in the shallow youth #

# And there're only you and me #

# It is possible for passers-by to rub shoulders #

# Into eternal happiness #

# Like the silence of time in the shallow youth #

# And there're two simple people #

Mengmeng, there is no right or wrong choice.

Just follow your heart

and keep going,

as long as you make a choice.

It must be a right choice.

# Like light and shadow floating in the shallow youth #

But...

There are so many people in the world.

Is everyone the same as me?

If my dad wasn't a cop...

If I studied hard...

If I hadn't pestered him...

If I didn't go to the precinct with him...

Then all these things won't happen.

Am I wrong?

Did I make a wrong choice?

= Public Security Bureau of Bincheng City =

Chen Meng.

Just go to take a break.

Go back home and rest for a few days.

No thanks, Director Qin.

I am sorry.

I won't be like this anymore.

Chen Meng.

Director Qin, I don't want to think anything else right now.

I just want to work hard.

Director Qin, what can I do for you?

Okay, see you later.

Mister Ye,

what can I do for you?

You...

You haven't been to office

or my place

since you left the hospital.

Why?

I went to visit Chen Meng.

You are so concerned about her.

How about it?

I just went to visit her.

To be honest,

She's not in a good mood.

After all, it was such a terrible accident.

I'm not talking about her. I'm talking about you.

Are you okay?

I... I am fine.

Since it's already happened,

I prefer not to comment.

Just take care of the rest of it.

In fact, I...

Less talking makes things easier.

Chen Meng,

please take good care of her for me.

You care about her so much.

I know it's just not because of me.

If you like her, just go for it.

Mommy, please remember that...

I put your medicine here.

Dial number one, you can call me.

Dial number two, you can call Xia Tian.

Do you remember?

Yeah. Yeah.

It's fine. I just took some medicine.

I will take some sleeping pills when you leave.

And then I will go back to sleep.

Maybe I will still be asleep when you come back.

Would you like me to call you a part-time employee?

No.

It will be fine. Don't worry.

Hello.

Chen Meng, how are you? Are you getting better?

I am sorry.

I won't be like that anymore.

That's good.

If you want to thank me,

can I pick you up at work?

Is that Lin Ze?

No thanks.

I am going to work right now.

But I'm already at your house.

Okay, I'll meet you downstairs.

No. No.

I've arrived.

I am standing at the door.

Mummy.

Ze, you are here.

Hello, auntie.

He is not Ze.

Mummy.

Auntie, I will come to visit you often.

I hope you can remember my name.

My name is Qi Chengyu.

You can't do that.

I won't agree.

You should wait for Lin Ze.

I won't agree.

Mummy.

Lin Ze...

He is quite busy in these days.

He can't come to visit you.

It's okay.

Mister Qi is my friend.

It will be fine.

It will be fine.

That's my mom.

She doesn't feel well recently.

Maybe you can visit her another day.

I'm sorry that I don't have time for you.

It's okay.

Do you mind if I stay here with auntie for a while?

Okay.

Please remind her to take the pills

when you leave.

Okay.

Thank you.

You are welcome.

= Songen =

Mister Qi.

I am listening.

I didn't find anything.

Not a clue.

Not a clue?

Did you go to the fire scene?

Yes.

Is there any news from the police?

The police are very tight-lipped.

I couldn't get any information.

The fire scene was in ruins.

I snuck in there once.

But I couldn't find anything wrong.

I don't think it's that simple.

How did it happen so coincidentally?

What a coincidence!

Just keep digging.

Make sure you get to the bottom of this.

Okay, Mister Qi.

Don't worry. I will keep digging.

I'll let you know as soon as I get something.

= Office of Deputy Director =

Come in, please.

Director Qin.

Is it confirmed?

Yes.

The body we found at the scene was not Yi Qianwan.

Did you find any sign of him?

We searched the scene

and the place he had been before.

Nothing has been found yet.

How about Chen Meng?

She knows nothing.

Just keep searching for Yi Qianwan

without taking Chen Meng.

Officer Lin.

I know.

The last task you left me

is to live well.

I promise to finish the task.

You have to take good care of yourself as well.

= Los Angeles =

Oh, my god. You finally woke up.

Where is this place?

Here is...

Don't talk too much. You just woke up.

Don't bother him.

You were badly hurt

with some permanent damage.

And then I communicated with the Deputy Director Qin

of Binjiang Precinct

to transfer you to here for treatment.

The Deputy Director Qin.

You mean Captain Qin. Qin Qiufeng.

Captain Qin?

Yes.

Do you remember who you are?

Yes.

I am Lin Ze.

I am a freshman at the police academy.

A freshman?

Yes.

Director Qin, I am your student.

I will try my best.

But I really can't promise you that.

Some people may recover after a while.

And some haven't gotten better in years.

Don't worry. I will try my best.

Is there any way to get the memory back?

I remember there's a book

saying that...

There are many ways.

But it varies from person to person.

It needs some time and the right kind of stimulation.

But this stimulation may not have a positive effect.

Then what's your suggestion?

As a doctor,

My suggestion is...

You don't have to restore your memories on purpose.

It will slowly get better

as you recover.

Of course.

For I have some relationships with Director Qin,

I have something important to tell you.

Say it, please.

Let's go.

I'm a police officer of Binjiang Precinct.

Yes.

You can see the information for details.

It's right in front of you.

You can finish it there.

But remember...

This document need to be kept in this room.

In short,

you were injured in a fire accident.

And then, you were sent here for treatment.

But you think that's not an accident.

Yes.

The person who died in this accident named Yi Qianwan.

He's the most important suspect of your case

before you got hurt.

And then the accident happened

when we were going to arrest him.

But here's the strange thing.

We found out that...

The body wasn't Yi Qianwan at all.

He was someone else, Zheng Lei.

We didn't find Yi Qianwan's body at the scene.

So...

So he is still alive.

He hasn't turn himself in, either.

He is on the loose.

You're as smart as ever.

It means that he has a purpose.

Did you find anyone suspicious at the scene?

Or...

Why are you so sure that someone started the fire on purpose?

Yes, we did.

There was one person rescued by our officers at the scene

was very suspicious.
