(My Dangerous Wife)

Are you worried about your husband or...

are you worried about a wrench being thrown in your plan?

Did you increase the purity?

I'm asking you if you increased the purity of the poison!

Do you have to go this far?

For plans like this, you have to make it seem as real as possible!

I bugged Kim Yoon-chul's house.

They just poisoned that woman, Jin Sun-mi.

What happened?

Somebody is watching us.

And they're pretending to be N31.

Yoon-chul!

Kim Yoon-chul!

Kim Yoon-chul!

Mr. Kim!

Mr. Kim!

Where is Ms. Jin?

Because of me...

she died.

No, I killed her.

Ms. Jin?

You two planned this and fooled me!

When did this start?

Did your wife know Ms. Shim?

What is this?

Was it your younger husband's idea?

No!

It was you, right?

You're the one who killed my friend, Song Yoo-min.

Go with me to the police station!

I'll go with you!

Why would I do that?

It's all your fault!

Why is that my fault?

My poor friend died because of you!

You're the one who started all of this!

You married that trashy husband of yours!

He had an affair because of you!

You faked your own kidnapping!

Song Yoo-min died because of you!

It's all your fault!

Why are you blaming others?

If you didn't plan an useless revenge like this,

then we wouldn't have ended up like this!

You could just divorce him!

You could've had simply divorced him! Why would you drag things out?

Why did you drag my husband and me into this mess too?

My goodness!

But you two are not...

legally married though.

Oh, my.

You make it sound like you two are a real married couple.

Why are you so surprised?

Did you think nobody knew?

Everybody knows that you two aren't married!

Did you really want people to think that you two are a married couple?

Oh, dear!

I feel so bad for you!

If you don't have the courage,

then I'll go to the police station and tell them everything for you.

Thank you...

for the black tea.

You two...

are just bound by a piece of paper too.

Our contract is way more genuine than your marriage license!

What happened?

Jin Sun-mi isn't dead.

Jin Sun-mi's alive.

It means there's no hope for us!

The ending is already set in stone.

Sweetheart...

please go along with my plan.

After all...

we're still married.

Five million dollars.

I'm going to take it from you.

Once we get that money,

let's extend...

our contract again!

It will be a contract for life.

What do you think? That sounds good, right?

(Episode 15: Till Death Do Us Apart)

Shim Jae-kyung!

Come out and tell me all those fine excuses of yours!

We kidnapped your wife.

Prepare five million dollars.

If you contact the police,

your wife will die.

She's unbelievable.

Does she think I will fall for this ridiculous prank?

Shim Jae-kyung!

I won't be fooled any longer!

This damn house!

It's so...

I'm so sick of these things!

All these things that you painstakingly chose yourself!

I'm sick and tired of it!

Neat and tidy!

What's wrong?

Are you hiding somewhere and watching me again?

This is driving you insane, right?

Why don't you come out and tidy things up?

I'm asking him to save me from right next door...

Yoon-chul...

But he can't hear me.

Yoon-chul...

It's just like how we have always been...

You begin some fights, knowing you're going to lose.

Our marriage was like that.

I wonder what our six years of marriage meant.

Why did we end up like this?

Maybe...

our marriage...

has been dying over the course of six years.

Are you reading "The Wife"?

I'm checking if anything new was uploaded.

Who knows?

The author might upload that the mistress was actually alive.

Is it you?

- Pardon? - Are you Passmystery?

You tend to pass on solving mysteries.

That's unfair.

I'm always busy bringing you back down to Earth

when you go crazy with your theories

so I don't have time to deduce things myself.

Oh, really?

Then I won't do anything.

Why don't you try to solve this?

Who is the author, Passmystery?

1, 2...

3. Go away.

Ji-tae.

Let's go catch Passmystery.

What?

How are we going to do that?

Did you find something?

Yes!

The author's meeting the publisher here, right?

Even authors who don't reveal their identities...

will come in person when they sign contracts.

I asked for the publisher's cooperation.

You used the contract as bait?

You used your brain this time.

Hey, hold on.

Let me grab my cellphone.

- I'll head in first. - Sure.

I'll be upstairs!

What's wrong with you?

I'm sorry.

I mistook you for someone else.

What are you doing?

Why are you here?

Why?

I can't meet someone in a place like this?

What about the kids?

They're old enough to stay home by themselves.

At this rate, when the kids are older,

you might just leave us.

What kind of plans do you have today?

Just act like your usual self.

Don't take any interest in me.

What do you think you're doing?

What are you doing?

Cancel your plans today.

It's your phone.

Yes.

Ji-tae.

Where are you?

I'm on my way.

It seems like the author...

found out about our plan.

We can't get in contact with the author and the author hasn't shown up.

Okay.

I'll see you at home.

I was really curious.

How would the author know about the case so well?

The author has to be a police employee or the culprit.

Me or you.

Oh, your wife!

Don't you think Hee-jung might have some information about Passmystery?

She loves web novels.

She might know the author very well.

Web novels and webtoons are popular these days.

The authors make a lot of money too.

Ji-tae, be good to your wife.

If one of her novels become a hit,

then you'll be well prepared for retirement.

You're acting strange, Ji-tae.

What do you mean?

"Hey."

"Hee-jung may start a novel..."

"But she never finished writing one."

"She's always just practicing."

"She's been trying to be an author for forever."

Did I say those things?

You're really acting strange!

Did you have a real fight this time?

I don't know if we ever even really fought.

(Seoul Joongam Police Station)

Detective Seo!

The fingerprint analysis came out.

It did?

(Fingerprint Analysis Result)

(Report)

(Analysis Report: Comparison)

The fingerprints found on the painting that was found next to Song Yoo-min...

matched Ha Eun-hye's fingerprints.

(99.68678% match)

And it seems like the shoes Kim Yoon-chul brought as evidence were thrown away by her.

The person who killed Song Yoo-min was...

Ha Eun-hye.

The culprit was right in front of our noses.

Arrest her right now.

Yes, sir.

Shim Jae-kyung.

You're listening to everything, right?

Did you bug the house again?

Fine.

Go ahead and eavesdrop all you want, Shim Jae-kyung.

What is wrong with you?

Are you having fun torturing me?

Do I look like a fool to you?

Come out this instant!

Are you listening, Shim Jae-kyung?

The couple's mugs that you treasured.

How is it?

That was the sound of our marriage falling apart.

Did you like it?

Just because they're detectives, they think that...

What is it this time? It's late!

It's me, Seo Ji-tae.

Mr. Kim, do you know the whereabouts of your neighbor, Ms. Ha Eun-hye?

Why should I know where she is?

We found Ms. Ha's fingerprints...

on the painting found next to Mr. Song Yoo-min's body.

We can't get a hold of her and it seems like her house is empty.

Are the lights usually off at her house around this time too?

(We kidnapped your wife)

Detective, actually...

Yes. Go ahead, Mr. Kim.

(Tell them they went on an overseas trip)

Yes.

I think the couple next door went on an overseas trip.

Overseas?

Where?

I think they said Singapore.

I understand. We'll check it out.

There's a chance that Ha Eun-hye ran away.

Please send lists of the flight passengers who left the country for all airlines.

You better not try anything foolish.

If you do, your wife will die.

You seemed suspicious from the beginning.

This is a lie too, isn't it?

Did my wife team up with you this time for this plan?

You picked the wrong guy.

I'm regretting the time I spent running around, trying to save my wife.

I have absolutely no interest in you and your wife.

Oh, right.

You two aren't interested in each other too.

You just valued money and you wanted to protect that.

Isn't that right?

You're right.

Make sure you tell Shim Jae-kyung this.

Don't get her hopes up.

In my opinion, you and your wife...

are really insane.

Or are all married couples like that?

Whatever.

Where's the money?

Close it.

Open the trunk.

Do you still not realize the gravity of the situation?

I really put the money in here.

Then where the bags with the money go?

Think with the great brain of yours.

Why did you two team up?

In the end...

was it because of money?

It's Jin Sun-mi.

She and my wife teamed up and fooled me.

She probably got the money as payment.

(Temporarily Closed)

She's not answering her phone.

That means she has the money.

She won't give it up easily.

You teamed up with Jin Sun-mi?

Who would I trust right now?

I'm completely on my own.

I'm out for myself. I'm alone.

Got it?

Don't come any closer.

Don't come near me.

You don't care what happens to your wife?

My wife?

Yes, I don't!

I don't care if you kill her or not! Do what you want!

Kim Yoon-chul ran away.

And the police is looking for you.

It's dangerous to be in our house so let's go somewhere else.

Delivery!

Thank you.

(To: Lee Jin-soo, From: Shim Jae-kyung)

If something happens to me,

please give Yoon-chul this letter...

and tell him everything.

And...

please tell him, "Thank you..."

"for the past six years."

(I will love you forever till death do us apart)

Forever till death do us apart...

(When Asked Why You Loved)

(I will love you forever till death do us apart -N31)

(I will love you forever till death do us apart)

(Wife)

What's going on?

Is this for real?

(Restricted Number)

(Restricted Number)

Hello?

Is that you, Mr. Kim Yoon-chul?

It's me, Lee Jin-soo.

Why are you calling?

Do we have more to talk about?

Jae-kyung sent me something weird.

So I was worried.

Mr. Lee.

I can't trust you too! What are you up to this time?

Aren't you worried?

Fine.

What did she send?

She sent this and it said this is the end.

So it's probably something that she cherished the most.

Money?

I knew it. I shouldn't have held any expectations for you.

Stop lowering your voice and get to the point.

And who are you to have any expectations for me?

You're not my tutor.

Kim Yoon-chul.

You failed.

Fail what?

Hello?

If you help me, then I'll really give you five million dollars.

Why are you going this far?

I want to be with my husband.

Although our relationship is a mess,

I won't give up.

We will get better.

That's it?

And most importantly,

I need Yoon-chul.

I don't know if you don't want to lose your husband...

or if you don't want to ruin your marriage.

I'm going to make this marriage work.

What an amazing marriage.

Eternal love?

It's a ridiculous scam from the start.

It's precious because we promise each other to do something that difficult.

And it's even more precious because we work hard to uphold that promise.

I beg you, Sun-mi.

I'm going to...

uphold that promise.

Why are you doing this?

Why are you protecting Shim Jae-kyung like this?

I already told you.

I don't like it when something unexpected comes up.

Fine, let's make a deal.

I'll tell you my plan.

So you tell me your plan too.

That woman expected me to erase the recording.

You're inviting me?

Don't eat anything else.

But it will be okay to eat the bread dipped in the gambas sauce.

So I also decided to...

prepare a hidden card.

I prepared fruits that looked exactly like Chinese lacquer tree's

and put them in the box ahead of time.

I made sure its extract wasn't harmful to the body.

I didn't know who would end up eating the poison.

I couldn't trust anyone.

I didn't want to die by accident.

I wanted to be thorough.

I was really going to...

disappear.

But...

I wanted the whole world to know about the crazy thing those two planned.

I wanted to reveal the truth about the seemingly happy married couple.

Like me,

you were planning this for a long time.

Right?

A deal is a deal.

I'll tell you my plan in time.

I'll refuse even if you offer it to me.

Even if I have five million dollars, the police will be after me.

I tend to be picky about what jobs I take.

I kindly refuse jobs that are high risk.

Then why are you here?

The war isn't over yet.

Before you exit the field,

you need to know something.

Aren't you curious about this?

Shim Jae-kyung and Lee Jin-soo's...

real relationship.

I was waiting for you.

You knew Sun-mi wasn't dead, right?

If you knew about everything, why did you take me there?

Why did you give me those shoes as evidence

when they didn't even belong to my wife?

Fine.

I'll let you punch me once.

Damn it!

Have a seat.

I don't know when I might explode.

Answer honestly.

Was my marriage a part of your plan too?

The two of you...

When did you two start dating?

Was it ever since you were her tutor?

I'm sure this is funny to you too.

Answer me!

Is this...

jealousy?

Jealousy?

I'll take care of the rest.

This is...

It's dangerous for us to go around with you when you're bloody.

This scented candle doesn't belong here.

You're not where you belong either.

You should escape this house and be free now too.

No.

I...

like...

our house.

I see.

In the house that you worked so hard to clean and manage...

you will spend your last moments.

It's beautiful, isn't it?

They met while working at a wine bar.

I heard his wife really loved wine.

Especially that wine, "La Amour Eternal."

You said you weren't interested.

I don't handle stolen goods at my pawnshop.

It seems like you only deal with those.

I'm telling you that I don't.

We're the ones who reek the most with the smell of stolen goods here.

Why did Lee Jin-soo's wife die?

I heard she was sick for a long time.

He lost his wife to a disease?

That's what people think.

But there's something fishy about her death.

She died within two days of collapsing.

And in her nursing home room,

an empty wine bottle was found.

Here.

How should we interpret this relationship?

Being a wife...

doesn't seem that appealing.

Are you saying Jae-kyung sent this?

You're trying to manipulate me again with something like this!

What are you two after?

Why do you keep coming up with plans like this?

You two planned everything...

from the beginning to the end, right?

N31.

You thought I didn't know that?

It's the acronym for your previous bar.

November 31.

Jae-kyung probably frequented the bar where you and your wife worked,

pretending to be a regular.

N31 is probably a memory or a code just for the two of you.

Am I wrong?

Kim Yoon-chul.

N31 is...

a promise she made with you.

Lee Jin-soo and Shim Jae-kyung weren't lovers?

It seemed like there was a kidnapping scare when she was in high school too.

Did she fake her own kidnapping back then too?

I don't know.

Right after that happened, they stopped tutoring.

And she prepared to go study abroad.

It seems like they thought that their high school daughter's kidnapping was...

orchestrated by her tutor.

Even when they sent her abroad to study,

they signed her up for a kidnapping insurance.

Lee Jin-soo and his wife operated a bar.

It was called...

"November 31."

November 31.

I heard it's the day they promised to marry each other.

November 31?

November only has 30 days.

He proposed just when November 30 turned to December 1.

So they named the bar "November 31."

That's why it's November 31.

I heard the two of them were an ideal couple.

Jae-kyung had a lonely childhood, being raised by cold, indifferent parents.

So when she saw Lee Jin-soo and his wife, she made a decision.

"When I get married,"

"I'll live like Lee Jin-soo and his wife, no matter what."

What an amazing marriage.

What's so great about being married?

Eternal love?

It's a ridiculous scam from the start.

It's precious because we promise each other to do something that difficult.

And it's even more precious because we work hard to uphold that promise.

I'm going to...

uphold that promise.

You're...

really hopeless.

Seven years ago,

after I lost my wife,

I decided to close down my bar.

You were married.

I was depressed after losing my wife.

Jae-kyung greatly comforted me.

She said she'll be happy for our sakes.

And she brought her fiancee to the bar.

You two were the last customers of November 31.

You may not remember.

When the clock was turning from...

November 31 to December 1,

your proposal happened.

I don't remember! I don't care!

That's probably something Jae-kyung made up too.

What are you trying to make me do this time?

That kind of emotional manipulation?

It won't work on me now.

"La Amour Eternal."

What about that wine?

It was a wine that my wife liked.

Jae-kyung liked it too.

You probably forgot about it though.

I love you.

I'm sorry I couldn't get you a fancier ring.

I'm so happy.

I don't need anything else.

Will you promise me just one thing?

Everything.

(Till death do us apart...)

(I will love you forever till death do us apart)

Till death do us apart...

I love you forever.

Me too.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

Should we stamp it?

Using this wine?

This wine is called "La Amour Eternal."

It means eternal love.

It's a wine used for proposals.

Here. Let's swear an oath here.

I'll go first.

(I will love you forever till death do us apart)

Okay.

La Amour...Something...

Let's swear on it.

- Cheers. - Cheers.

(I will love you forever till death do us apart)

Kim Yoon-chul.

You failed.

What did I fail at? Why do you keep saying I failed?

To be honest,

I couldn't protect my wife until the end too.

That will probably haunt me forever.

That's why I wanted...

you to be Jae-kyung's only family.

I really wanted that for her.

I wonder how things would've been...

if you remembered what N31 meant after seeing the kidnapper's first message.

I'm sure it wouldn't have ended up like this at the very least.

Jae-kyung...

wanted to have faith in you until the end.

She earnestly wanted you to know her sincerity.

If something happens to me,

please give Yoon-chul this letter...

and tell him everything.

And...

please tell him, "Thank you..."

"for the past six years."

She sensed that she was in danger.

Despite the danger,

she sent me this, putting her life on the line.

So, Yoon-chul...

your wife...

You need to protect her.

In my opinion, you and your wife...

are really insane.

You don't care what happens to your wife?

My wife?

I don't care if you kill her or not! Do what you want!

If something happens to me,

please burn this incense for me.

I brought your usual wine.

Thank you.

Your wife is so lucky.

You celebrate your wedding anniversary every year without forgetting.

I'm grateful that she's happy.

- I'll get your food for you. - Thank you.

You know my usual, right?

Please prepare the November 31.

Yes, sir.

Happy wedding anniversary.

Thank you, honey.

You're going to receive the same flower for the remaining 31 anniversaries.

So brace yourself.

You're crying again on a happy day.

I'm not crying.

I smile like this when I'm in a good mood.

That's how you smile?

Hey, the candles are smiling too!

The wax is dripping down!

Come on! We should hurry up and blow out the candles.

We'll blow them out on the count of three.

Make a wish.

Yes.

One.

Two.

Three.

(Jae-kyung's Husband)

Show me proof that my wife's safe.

If there's no reply within 3 minutes,

then I will call the police.

(Ha Eun-hye)

Honey.

I'm sorry.

I'm really sorry that...

I lied to you.

I didn't want to lose you.

I wanted to get back...

I wanted to get back what I lost.

Show me proof that you prepared five million dollars.

If you're late, your wife will die.

There will be no further negotiation.

Five million dollars. Five million dollars.

Five million dollars.

Why do you keep calling me?

You took five million dollars from my car, right?

What do you mean?

I beg you.

Please lend me that money.

Why?

Are you going to save your wife with that money again?

Yes.

Jae-kyung was kidnapped.

- Are you kidding me? - I...

I think the couple next door kidnapped her.

I'm telling the truth.

This time...

she was really kidnapped.

My wife...

might die.

Don't worry. Shim Jae-kyung's fine.

She's supposed to meet me here.

You're meeting her?

Hey, that's a trap!

Hurry up and get out!

Jin Sun-mi!

Yes, I understand.

Thank you.

Ji-tae.

The Department of Justice called.

There's no record of Ha Eun-hye and Jo Min-kyu leaving the country.

Move.

Detective!

There was a call reporting a crime near Old Crop!

Someone heard a scream inside the restaurant.

- A scream? - Yes.

Take this.

Ji-tae!

Ji-tae!

Sun-mi!

Sun-mi!

Jin Sun-mi!

Sun-mi!

Hey!

Are you okay?

That damn jerk, Jo Min-kyu, took the five million dollars from me!

I stabbed Jo Min-kyu in the leg with this.

He couldn't have gone far yet.

Here.

- Let's go to a hospital first. - No.

Find the five million dollars first.

I'll let you borrow it.

Use that to save Jae-kyung first.

Okay.

Let's go.

Make sure you give it back.

Why is the door open?

Is anyone here?

Go sneak out!

Hurry!

I'm sorry.

What is this?

What is this?

Are you okay?

Here. Get up.

I lost the five million dollars.

The culprit is Jo Min-kyu.

Jo Min-kyu?

- Have officers look for him. - Yes, sir.

Five million dollars.

The money used for Shim Jae-kyung's kidnapping.

I was wondering who had it but I guess you had it.

Let go.

Apply pressure.

Five million dollars.

I got the five million dollars.

You did?

Good job.

Take that money...

and escape.

That's your next mission.

What did you say?

Thank you for calling me.

You didn't have to do that.

What are you talking about?

I knew that...

once you had that money,

you had no intention of returning.

I'm the one who broke off the contract first.

It's five million dollars, including penalty and severance pay.

That...

makes it a pretty good deal, right?

Our marriage.

No!

No! You can't break the contract on your own!

Good job.

But I was...

quite happy...

with our marriage.

Hello?

Hello? Sweetheart!

There's a suspicious car parked at the intersection.

62K2485.

The vehicle registration search...

My husband...

has the money.

I wonder what your stupid husband is doing.

The two wives who pretended to be happy should exit the stage now.

Isn't it truly...

a beautiful farewell?

Jeez, where did the punk go?

Honey.

I'm sorry.

Where in the world is she?

I really wanted...

Where is she?

To get back what I lost.

But...

Things turned out like this...

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry, honey...

I'm sorry...

It's our house.

It's our house.

That humming is what I do.

After listening to it all day,

I can't help but hum it myself.

I guess we're becoming alike because we're neighbors.

You don't have to smile for your last moments.

You probably had a hard time...

keeping a smile on your face all the time.

(My Dangerous Wife)

I was curious...

about what would happen to that married couple.

What are you doing?

Don't laugh at me!

No!

Where did things go wrong?

In the end, am I unable to keep my promise to N31?

There is no such thing as a sudden death.

It's the result of things that were in motion a long time ago.

In the end,

the person who remained by Kim Yoon-chul's side is...

Shim Jae-kyung.
