Bureau's got some
explaining to do.

This is Special
Agent Melvin Woods.

I've known him since I was a
boot and he was a junior G-man.

What you got, Mel?

Those agents were Earl
and Damon, two of my best.

I spent the last hour
informing their families.

- Our sincere condolences.

They didn't deserve to die
this way.

I assume that apartment was
a safe house. Who was it for?

Rocco Contoursi.

He's a capo
in the Venuti crime family.

My old watch commander

Racketeering. They used
to use extreme violence

When that didn't work,

with an emphasis on murder.

They used to be heavy hitters,

Today, the family is
on its last breath.

But now, with two agents dead,

they've got our attention again.

Rocco was supposed to testify
before a grand jury

in three days. Except somebody

located the safe house,
killed those two agents,

and now Rocco's in the wind.

Without his testimony,
the Venuti family

they also shot a civilian.

They'll kill anybody
to get at Rocco.

CHRIS: Put out feeler
sat nearby hospitals.

Witnesses say Rocco
was bleeding pretty badly

when he fled the scene.
