Kevin Cormorant is just like the super cop.
In 1864, the Five Points in New York, you don't wanna be...
...on the end of his overhand right.
What really, really attracted me to playing Cormorant...
...was that I saw someone who wasn't a hero...
...in the traditional sense of the word.
Police! Drop your weapons.
It makes it so much more fun to watch...
...and it's more fun to play than someone who is morally correct and perfect.
He's a flawed character, but in his heart...
...this is a very honorable man.
He is basically trying to survive in this very hostile environment...
...that Five Points was.
You feeling all right, Kevin?
Why would I be feeling all right, looking at a dead child?
He was born in Ireland, but had come over very early...
...and so he's lived in Five Points most of his life.
He just oversteps the mark so many times and pushes too hard for the things he wants.
- I didn't kill no bloody little girl! Aah! -Aah!
That's what I love about his detective work.
Detective Francis Maguire, which I play...
...is Kevin Cormorant's best friend and partner.
How many dead bodies we got laying about this morning?
Only one. -One?
Crime rate keeps heading south, we'll be out of a job.
With Maguire and Cormorant, you can just see how...
...the Irish kind of invented New York, in a way, through the police force.
The Roderick gang is twice in numbers as us.
As long as we're dug in, we'll have the upper hand.
It's a fascinating relationship and me and Kevin have a lot of fun with it.
Anytime that we get to embrace the fighting aspect of it, we go at it full throttle.
Andrew O'Brien is a first-generation American...
...of Irish descent.
Cork, watch your step, Cor win's still gunning for you.
Don't worry. I'll find a way to reason with him.
He's learning this sort of "detective trade" from Cormorant.
Well, you're up.
But he's an old-school, "smash your head off the wall...
...to get information off you" kind of guy.
But he's smashing heads off the walls with the best of intentions.
The police were a gang as much as any gang that existed in New York.
Who do you think you are?
I'm the police, you stupid bastard.
If Cormorant, Maguire and O'Brien were around today...
...doing what they do, they would be out of jobs quicker than anybody.
