Tom Weston-Jones...

...because he fully embodies and has done
a phenomenal job playing Cormorant.

Cormorant's a brute. He's a goon.

He's a smart goon.

Cormorant or Tom Jones?

The story kicks off
when he's come back from the Civil War...

...to find out that his wife has disappeared
and his daughter is dead.

He has no idea how she died.

He begins trying to resolve
all the issues within his life...

...and he's trying to keep a balance
between his obsession and his work.

And sometimes they completely cross over
and get blurred.

And his morals come into question
a little bit...

...because he has to do the wrong things
for the right reasons, in his head.

Although he has a bigger
overarching story about his family...

...and that's really the heart of Copper...

...he has a day-to-day job:
He has to solve crimes...

...that are going on,
whether they're in Five Points or uptown.

Detective Cormorant, sir.

-What brings you here, Cork?
- I sent for him.

I think for the audience,
they're going to be able...

...to follow Kevin Cormorant
on this journey that he's going through.

There'll be moments of great passion
and great action.

There'll also be quiet moments,
intimate moments, sad moments...

...funny, stupid little moments...

You're going to be following the life
of a very complex character...

...as he struggles to find peace
within himself.

What I like about him
is the fact that he's so flawed.

Some people would say
he's an incredibly tragic character.

Some people might say he's an antihero,
and then people could say he's a hero.

It's kind of unsure, but a hell of a lot of fun
to be unsure.

I like it.
