The Legend of Xiao Chuo

Episode 30

Why did you come to me?

Just say it.

Smart.

I like

talking to smart people like you.

The birth of the little Prince is indeed a great thing.

But I'm a bit worried.

Mingyi has been in bad health since young.

When Xiao Yanyan was carrying,

Xiao Siwen got killed.

I mean,

this kid

don't you think he might be too weak to survive?

No.

Crown Prince.

No.

I can't, I can't.

I can't.

No.

You can't?

You forced me!

You made me do it!

Do you want to spend the rest of your life in the deserted palace?

Or do you want to be the master of palace?

Princess Puge.

Do you really have to think about it?

I am an ordinary concubine in the palace.

I just want to be alive.

I just want to have some good days.

Why won't you just leave me alone.

Why?

Why?

Leave you alone?

Who is going to leave me alone?

Xiao Yanyan!

Xiao Yanyan!

How can you do this to me?

Tell me,

are you determined to destroy my life?

Why was Xiyin exiled?

Do you really not know the answer?

I don't know.

Of course I don't know.

At the bathing ceremony a few days ago,

why did the little Prince fall,

you wouldn't know that either then.

How would I know?

Xiao Yanyan,

are you going to pin all the accidents

on Xiyin now?

Alright.

Let's not talk about me then.

How did father die?

Do you know that?

It was Haizhi and Haili who...

No, no way.

Do you have proof?

Haizhi and Haili are merely puppets.

There was someone behind them.

Impossible!

Xiyin,

how could Xiyin have killed father?

What's good for him to kill father?

I also hope

that he had no part of this.

If it wasn't for him

to have exposed himself,

who could have traced it back to him?

Wuguli?

Wuguli, where are you going?

-Wuguli! -Princess Taiping.

Her Highness is waiting for you.

Elder sister.

Yanyan.

Tell me the truth.

Is father's death related to Xiyin?

I didn't believe it.

But I saw...

I saw the look in Wuguli,

is it really true?

I feel bad for second sister.

Liulishou is just a baby.

Elder sister.

I can tolerate all evils Xiyin has done,

except for murdering father.

I have to take my vengeance for father,

even if second sister

will resent me for the rest of her life.

She will know you have to do it.

That day, the three of us

swore at father's grave

that we would always stay together.

It was not long ago.

Yet I've broken my oath.

I failed second sister.

I failed father and mother.

No.

That's not true.

You are the Queen of our country.

You have to focus on the big picture.

One day,

she'll come to understand.

Get up!

What the heck?

Tell me.

The murder of my father,

does it have anything to do with you?

What, what are you talking about?

Where did you hear that bullshit?

How could I kill your father?

You even framed Yanyan.

It wouldn't be strange if you were after my father.

I can take

the slanders and frame-ups in court.

Now even you don't believe me?

Judging from what happened,

how am I supposed to believe you?

God of Tengri shall witness my oath,

if I have anything to do

with your father's death,

I shall be penetrated and killed

by the ghost arrows.

Xiyin.

You were really not involved?

I am the descendant of Emperor Taizu.

I just want to run the country.

Even your father

had never supported me,

I wouldn't harm him.

I would rather die to do so.

You are wronged.

I'll go to Yanyan.

Wuguli, Wuguli!

Wuguli!

Let me go!

I'm going to see Mingyi.

Without permission from His Majesty,

you must not go out.

Xiyin, Xiyin.

Let me help you up.

Did you get hurt?

Xiyin.

I won't let you be wronged.

No matter what happens,

you and I are husband and wife.

I will always be with you.

(King Yan's mansion)

Princess Zhao.

Mr. Han.

I heard you wanted to see me.

Mr. Han.

My husband is about to be exiled.

He has offended so many people before.

I'm afraid he can't make it to the border.

Those people will get back to him.

Don't worry.

You can relax.

His Majesty is kind.

He won't let anything happen to King Zhao.

Mr. Han.

You are the most trusted of His Majesty.

Can you say something for Xiyin to His Majesty?

There is solid evidence for his conviction.

I'm afraid...

But Xiyin

insists that he was wronged.

I'm not asking His Majesty to have mercy,

I just want His Majesty to meet with Xiyin again.

He was really framed on this one.

You said he was wronged?

Yes.

Yanyan won't see me now.

I don't get to see His Majesty.

Only you can help him.

Lord Han, please.

Can I meet with Xiyin first?

Why are you acting crazy?

I would rather be a lunatic

than to die in vain.

They set up the trap,

waited for me to step in,

and you gave them the push.

I've gone to Han Derang,

he promised to help you.

Why would you even go to him?

It was him,

and your sisters,

who got me into this.

What the heck are you talking about?

Their soldiers were all around us.

They can come in and kill me at any time!

Mr. Han.

-Master. -Get lost!

Get out of here!

Master,

I invited Mr. Han here.

What would you do that?

Don't you think I'm miserable enough?

Master!

Get lost!

-Master! -Get out of here!

Princess Zhao said you were framed.

Do you have anything to say to me?

Don't you pretend to be nice.

I got here because of you.

Get out of here!

-Get out of here! -Master.

Xiyin.

What have happened,

you got them coming. You're the one to blame.

Master.

Now for the whole Shangjing,

only Mr. Han came to help you.

If you hurt him,

then there will really

be no turning-back for you.

Ghost arrows, the trap,

wanted to steal little Prince at the bathing ceremony.

Did you do these or not?

Back in the hunt in Lushan,

you saw the opportunity,

plotted to assassinate His Majesty.

Did you do it or not?

Don't you try to frame me!

You want to deny it?

I can bear

the consequences of my own acts.

If I have done it,

I would have said so.

If I didn't,

don't ever try to plant it on me.

The assassination of His Majesty,

I've never done it.

You can go ask around,

see who will believe

a single word you said right now in Shangjing.

If I kill Minyi,

Yansage will use this as an excuse to kill me.

I want my son to be in charge of Liao.

You think I would be that stupid

to pave the path for him?

So why did we find your men in the assassins?

If I was really behind this,

why would I send my own men in?

Because I want to expose myself?

If you want to frame me, be my guest.

But you're not getting

what you want from me.

Are you saying that we framed you

for the collusion with Gao Xun and Nüli?

I already found out

they were

behind the murder of Prime Minister Siwen.

I went to them

just to blackmail them.

For what?

Xiyin.

Why didn't you tell me??

King Zhao.

If you can prove your innocence,

I will certainly help you.

And for Princess Zhao and Liulishou,

I'll also take good care of them.

They had everything planned.

I couldn't prove it.

Good girl.

If you need anything, just talk to Salan.

As long as you have a good life with Liulishou,

I will be at ease in Zuzhou.

Don 't worry.

I will take good care of Liulishou.

I'll try to get you back.

Gao Xun and Nüli,

they got you into this,

I will make them pay.

The most exposed rafters are the first to rot.

The two of them have been so arrogant.

They will see their ends in no time.

Liulishou.

Liulishou.

Liulishou, look, it's father.

Look at father.

Liulishou.

Liulishou.

Master.

King Zhao's confidant, Salan, has confessed.

This is his testimony.

Xiyin was telling the truth.

But

how did he know the location of the plaint?

Well,

I have carefully questioned Salan.

According to his confession,

a man named Pangqi,

was their eye at The Prime Minister's

Pangqi is his distant relative.

He had been spying on Prime Minister Siwen.

From receiving the plaint,

to the sudden visit of Gao Xun,

he all reported to King Zhao.

But didn't know how he got the news

that there were others behind Haizhi and Haili.

Where is this man now?

Master,

after stealing the plaint,

he turned to be a servant at King Zhao's mansion.

Later, King Zhao was arrested and he disappeared.

We went down to his house.

I think he left in a hurry.

The house was a mess.

Only some torn letters were found.

What were they about?

I tried to restore the letter.

But most of them had been destroyed.

There was an important clue though.

It was a name.

Nianmugun.

He was the one who arranged the whole thing.

Ever since he wrote and begged to return to Shangjing,

I suspected that he had a plot.

Later I was too busy investigating and neglected him.

Then I confronted Xiyin,

I was more convinced,

Xiyin was framed.

That was such a smart plot.

Only Yansage would be capable of doing so in this country.

What should we do next?

Let's keep it quiet first.

I will go into the palace and talk to His Majesty.

(King Taiping's mansion)

What's the matter, Hunian?

Hunian.

Are you pregnant?

Anxi!

Go get the imperial doctor!

Yes.

I'm all right.

Go to court or you'll be late.

I'm not going.

You and the baby are more important.

Nianmugun.

I'm going to be a father!

Congratulations.

Master.

On the court today...

Something happened in court?

Nothing.

Even the sky falls,

it won't be as important as our kid.

Hunian.

Go back to your room and take some rest.

I'll later

bring the doctor to check on you.

All right, anything you say.

Help the Princess to her room.

Yes.

Slowly, OK?

Watch out the steps.

Master,

Han Derang's men have interrogated Salan.

They are already tracking down on the spy.

I'm afraid

our lure against Xiyin

would be exposed.

It's nothing.

Xiyin has been arrested.

These things will be out sooner or later.

Nianmugun.

Hunian may be pregnant.

I'm going to have a son.

We're going to make our moves right now.

(Xingmin Palace)

You want to plead guilty?

I think

there's someone else behind Lushan's assassination.

Xiyin is not the real perpetrator.

Excuse my incompetence.

I haven't captured the one who's really behind this.

Brother Han.

You don't have to be like this.

Get up, please.

Do you have any clues?

I think what Xiyin did

was led by Yansage.

Yansage?

Exactly.

When it happened

I remember,

he was still far away in Shatuo.

That's why

he could deploy everything behind your back.

All the previous critical evidences

were planted by him.

He put out the evidences on purpose

to mislead us.

Xiyin has long been a pawn for him

without noticing it himself.

Yansage wants to kill me,

that's no news to us.

It's just

I've wooed him.

If we want to take him down.

I

have to have real evidence.

I understand.

I will get to the bottom of this.

(Chicken and lamb)

Did you hear that?

Queen and Privy Council Minister Han

have some special relationship.

More than special, I think.

-In the court... -Welcome.

This way please.

Everyone in the court knows

he and the Queen

had an affair before.

Before entering the palace,

the Queen even eloped with him.

This Mr. Han,

is he spending his time on investigation,

or on the Queen?

Only he would know.

Yeah.

Otherwise

why would an assassination

take that long to investigate?

Yeah.

Enjoy your meal.

Sure.

Xiuge.

Dalin.

What brought you here?

Derang,

how can you be able to sit at home?

Rumors had gone

all over the city.

I heard it too.

It's about the reputation of the royals.

How can I turn a blind eye on it?

Why didn't you do anything then?

If this rumor is not stopped,

it might get way worse.

Yeah.

We all know

who created this rumor.

These people, in order to achieve their own goals,

went with every conceivable means.

Derang.

This matter,

you can't ignore it.

We have to do something about it.

That's right.

We came here today

to discuss the countermeasures with you.

Thank you for your kindness.

I am the center of the rumor.

If I make my own defense,

it will only lead to more groundless speculations.

I'm afraid tomorrow in the court,

someone will embarrass the Queen

to disturb the situation.

I would like to ask for your help.

We can't

let these villains get what they want.

You don't have to be too polite.

Xiuge and I

will definitely protect the Queen.

Thank you very much.

The Queen has lost her virtue.

Should we go pressure His Majesty

to abolish the Queen,

and let Xige raise the Prince?

It depends on His Majesty.

Then let's give it a try.

Brother Gao.

No man

would tolerate having his own woman

flirting with others.

Although His Majesty is in bad health.

But he's a man after all.

I think this Han Derang

will sooner or later be the thorn in His Majesty.

Come.

Your Highness.

Now there are rumors everywhere.

Why won't you deal with them?

As long as His Majesty is with me.

These rumors won't affect me.

After all, I didn't do anything wrong.

But now these rumors are spreading in the palace.

It's ridiculous.

There are rules in the palace.

Shuanggu.

Yes.

Whoever spreads the rumor

will be severely punished according to the rules.

I'll let you handle it from now on.

Yes, Your Highness.

Please forgive me.

I'll never do that again.

Tell me.

Who told you such nonsense?

Well, I...

Who told you to spread the rumor?

Slap her.

Are you going to say it or not?

Stop it. Stop!

I will tell you, I will say it!

I will say it.

It was,

it was...

Even I know

a married woman should avoid meeting with other men.

Her Highness's so smart.

How could she not know that?

She put Your Majesty and the little Prince

in such embarrassment.

And now there are rumors everywhere.

And they said Your Majesty...

How dare you to slander the Queen!

If you spread rumors again,

I'll cut off your tongue.

Your Majesty.

I know I'm wrong.

Please forgive me.

Your Majesty.

Your Majesty don't have to worry about what she said.

The Queen would never do that.

I believe in Derang.

Derang is a gentleman.

I also believe in Yanyan.

She has her pride.

I believe in both of them.

But why am I still...?

To the Crown Prince.

The rumor about Queen and Han Derang

that got all over the place

was

conducted by you, right?

What if it was?

You're going to make your move on the Queen?

Xiyin has been defeated.

The next target will be me.

I can only do it first.

Good.

If we can get rid of Han Derang by rumors.

That's like

cutting off the Queen's right arm.

His Majesty is ill and weak.

He's not our concern.

From now on, all the ministers

will have to follow your rules then.

We will be counting on you.

Lord Nüli.

We are no strangers.

We're all on the same boat now.

Of course, we should share the prize together.

Crown Prince

got the water muddy.

Tomorrow in court,

we know what to do.

Come on, cheers.

Sub by WeTV & Ripped by skysoultan ♔ Follow @skysoultan on Instagram ♔

Your Highness.

There have been a lot of rumors recently.

It's said that Your Highness

is having a relationship with Mr. Han Derang.

I wonder if Your Highness have ever heard of it?

Your Highness.

These are all nonsense rumors.

I don't think

we should pay any attention to them.

But rumors like this,

are not only about the reputation of Your Highness.

It's also about the reputation of the royal family.

And the bloodline of the royal family.

I'd like to ask you something.

What is your position in the imperial court?

That hum

reminds me,

Lord Nüli

is the Palace Deploy Commander.

However,

the way he asked the question

made me

confused him for Tiyin,

who's in charge of the royal matters.

Xiuge Tiyin.

It's because of your inaction,

now that the rumors are everywhere.

As courtiers,

we have to be loyal to His Majesty.

That's why I had to report it.

You got me all wrong.

I am the Tiyin of the imperial court.

I have to ignore

all nonsense

and groundless rumors.

If I am like you,

bring every tiny matters into the court,

then we'll be the joke

in front of our people.

People might think all courtiers

are gossips

who know nothing but nonsense.

Am I right, gossip?

Lord Nüli.

I have a suggestion.

If you're really bored,

maybe you should read more history books,

get to know our country better.

How about that?

Xiuge Tiyin.

Don't try to avoid the matter.

It's obviously your dereliction of duty.

I'm just minding your business.

According to Lord Nüli,

what are you going to do with all this?

Your Highness.

We have to get down to it,

check everything out.

If it were people with ill intentions,

tried to slander Your Highness,

we have to take them down

and punish them.

If...

What other "if" can there be?

Lord Nüli, why don't you just say it?

I'm really curious

about your opinion.

Your Highness, please don't be angry.

Since Your Highness said

they were all rumors.

then it won't hurt to investigate.

How would you plan to look into this?

You are the center of the rumor,

we should start the investigation from you.

I agree with Lord Nüli.

The matter should be thoroughly investigated.

But I think

this does not fall into the jurisdiction of Lord Nüli.

Xige Tiyin has been known for his integrity.

I believe he will deal with it impartially.

After we get to the bottom of this,

if Lord Nüli is not satisfied with the results,

maybe you can then investigate it in person.

Your Highness.

Han Derang tarnishes the reputation of the royal family.

I request

to banish Han Derang.

Ridiculous.

How can we exile a key official

for a rumor?

The rumor was based on him.

It's a capital crime.

Your Highness.

If you and Han Derang are not related,

why would you defend him?

To stop people from speculating,

you must punish him.

His Majesty has arrived.

Your Majesty.

I heard

the court today

got quite lively.

I was resting in the palace a few days ago.

I do miss the bustle in the court.

I seemed to hear someone mentioned exile?

I wonder who misses King Zhao?

Do you want to rehabilitate his name?

Or do you want to go accompany him?

All of you are important ministers of Liao.

I hope

you can all work together.

Never suppress and suspect each other.

I'm about to get the situation under control.

Nüli were getting angry.

If he dares to lash out in court,

I would have people

take him down at once.

Why did you show up at that time?

You let him get away.

You.

You are too naive on the situation.

Think about it.

The way

Nüli behaved in court,

there must be someone behind him.

I know.

It must be Yansage.

Then why did you react to it that emotionally?

Now you can see it clearly.

In the court,

Nüli is on the same team

with Yansage.

If you take down Nüli in court,

Yansage will certainly stand up and speak for him.

He would say

Nüli loses his temper in court,

that's it.

But you lay such heavy punishment on him.

This will dissapoint many meritorious officials.

By that time,

we can only let Nüli go.

But Nüli

won't just sit on this.

He will act more aggressively.

He'll even bite you back.

He would say,

all that talks are true.

They're talking nonsense!

I know it's nonsense.

But what about the court?

In the court, they don't care about how,

they just care for the results.

If today

I didn't stop you from taking down Nüli.

I'm afraid my Yanyan

will fall into the trap of Yansage.

All right, all right.

You are new to the court.

Although I know

my Yanyan is absolutely gifted.

But you're inexperienced.

But it doesn't matter.

Let's take our time.

It was Yansage who messed up with the court.

Is there nothing we can do?

I also want to

get rid of Yansage.

When Emperor Muzong was in power,

I was bullied

by them in this cold palace.

For every second, I thought

I would take down Yansage with my own hands.

Mingyi.

Yansage is now

ready to move.

Soon he will show his slip.

Alright.

(King Yan's mansion)

The court was full of tension today.

If it continues to be like this.

I'm afraid bad things will happen.

But I have to finish Prime Minister Siwin's case

before I leave.

Otherwise, to both His Majesty and the Queen,

this will be a hidden danger.

Hasn't Xiyin already been caught?

Father.

It might seem that way.

But these

are what others want us to see.

You know,

I still have

some men with me.

Father.

I'll give them to you tomorrow.

You close the case as soon as possible.

Put an end to all of this.

Your Majesty.

It's getting late.

You are exhausted today.

Maybe you should go to bed early.

I am not exhausted.

I,

am angry.

Your Majesty.

I was wondering

why did Yansage suddenly make his move.

It turns out his wife is pregnant.

For both me and the Queen,

it's good news.

You know what, Diligu.

Go to Crown Prince's mansion tomorrow,

check the pulse for Princess Taiping.

Yes.

Tell Han Kuangsi to see me.

Tell him that I have something to talk to him.

Yes, Your Majesty.

His Majesty is doing alright.

Don't worry too much.

Mr. Han.

Actually

how can I not be worried?

This world

is full of gains and losses and trade-offs.

There are times when we simply don't have other options.

I hope you can understand

my resignations.

I hope brother Han would also understand.

My son is absolutely loyal to Your Majesty.

I know.

I have known brother Han since I was a child.

Your Majesty, so...

I don't want

brother Han to be wronged in vain.

what I'm talking about?
