To make it this business,
you'll have to play many roles

and this week's acting
challenge is a role

that may lead you
straight to the dungeon.

It's our very first advanced

Dungeons and Drag
Queen's campaign.

[cheering]

As dungeon masters, we're
going to roll a race

and a class for each
of you to perform.

You will need to create a
ferocious full fantasy look

based on those stats, then
we'll be leaving the mansion

and going on location to a
living, renaissance village

[contestants cheer]

where you will be acting out
a classic adventure campaign.

[dice rolling]

Dungeons and Dragons, but

I'm a Elf Priestess, and I
think I could pull that off.

- So Dungeons and Dragons
is an adventure game.

It's a rolling dice game
where you choose your

character and how
strong they are,

who they are, what they do.

They're like even down to like
even their personality type.

- Oh okay.

- Sounds like a bunch
of virgins to me.

[contestants laughing]

- I know nothing about
Dungeons and Dragons,

I just know they play the game
to protect their virginity.

I'm curious because I don't
think I heard, who did you get?

- I got Orc Priestess,

so there's like a
subcategory with Orc's

where there's a
cave-dwelling Orc,

and so I think I'm gonna
channel this like Orc Priestess

who's never seen light before.

[celebratory cheering]

- Maxi recovers and whispers
something weird language

under her breath.

that they should
bring their drama

into this type of environment

right now.

- Previously before the
competition while I was on tour,

Maddelyn and I
had a gig together

and unbeknownst to all of us,
she had started drinking again

and she just acted
a fool that night

and just really violated
my trust with her.

- I just wanna show to Dollya

that the behavior I showed

isn't the kind of
person I wanna be.

I just really wanted to

apologize,

I know that I broke
your trust with me.

There's no reason why I
should've even opened my mouth,

but I was about six
whisky gingers deep.

So, not that that's an
excuse 'cause it's not,

they were my choices and

I made them, and now I'm
just trying to fix this.

just influenced by
alcohol at the time.

- Relapse is a part of my story,

and it's a part of like my
journey and my sobriety,

it's really hard,

Addicts in nature are

I wouldn't trust me

because I don't need

a little during the challenge

such a fun day,

but I think we need
to get to work.

how the other girls

- Yeah we didn't get to rehearse
much, if at all as a group,

so we have a lot of
catching up to do.

- [Dollya] Absolutely.
- So now I'm nervous.

- Even though we
weren't present,

sometimes mental health makes
a performance a lot better.

- I'm glad things were taken
care of because that will only

make everyone here stronger
and in the game, so I'm happy

to hear that.
- You and me both I'm glad

there's no more tension
and distractions

with that kind of bullshit.

- Allegedly.

[upbeat runway music]

- Wait what's that black shit?

- So, this is foam clay.

- Okay.

- I don't really
know how it works.

- I'll should've
went to college.

finish high school.

as sophomore year.

I actually was kicked out
of my parents house when

I was seventeen.

They wanted to get
my behavior in check.

I was put in a troubled
teens type facility,

and we were monitored,

and I couldn't go
to the bathroom

without permission.

I couldn't leave a room
without permission.

It was in the middle of nowhere.

- How long were you there?

- I was there for a whole year.

It took like, it took
like a really big chunk

of my childhood away from me.

It's a dark time that's a
part of my past, but I swore

that I would build
myself from the ground up

and when I discovered drag,

that was something
that I could call mine

that no one could
take away from me.

[sobbing]

- [Maddelynn] You're incredible.

[sobbing]

- You are such a
stronger person now.

- I've never truly opened
up about this sort of thing.

It's more or less been a
family secret of mine and

one that I haven't really
told a lot of people.

- Just always own
that part of your life

because it's a part of who
you are, and that's amazing.

You know, you're flipping it.

You're flipping the script

and turning it into something
positive because you're an

incredibly talented
and wonderful person.

- I am forever thankful for
everything that I've built

for myself because I don't

without doing what
I'm doing today.

It allows you to dig in
those deep, dark areas

and get it out.

You might have had a really
dark and horrible past, but

this is just the
beginning for you.

- So my assigned character
is Elf Barbarian,

so I felt it necessary
to have a shield,

and I used EVA foam to heat,
shape, cut, and then I painted.

It's really just
these floor mats,

and you just cut it, you heat
shape it with a heat gun,

and then I went in with a
dremel and gave all this detail

work like grain.

Now I'm going in
for some detailing

with a little teeny, tiny brush,

and then I'm gonna use
an airbrush to release

some of it out these
grain works, so it looks

a little bit more natural.

- I kind of perceive a
Rogue to be a very nimble,

quick, and good at lock-picking,
and I kinda wanted it

to be like belly-dancy kind of.

I got a dashiki that I
cut apart to add to this

to give more color and depth.

In the end it should
look kind of like this,

I have a prosthetic mask
that I will be adhering.

- The inspiration for my
Elf Priestess is just like

long and lean and very
ethereal and light, so

I'm sticking with all
silvers, silver lamé

so I'm doing a lot of applique
and hand rhinestoning work.

I even rhinestoned the tips
of my elf ears just to add

another element of light to
it, so just E-6000 rhinestones,

and then this gets
attached with liquid latex

and spirit gum,

built up on my ear,

and then my makeup will
have rhinestones going up

to the ear.

- I am Dark Elf Necromancer,
so I'm making a hood and

I'm making these
scales, this is Worbla,

you heat activate it with a
gun, and then you can mold it.

I already did one
sort of kind of

where it's like,
you know bent more

like leaf like,
scale like almost,

so what I wanna do is
make a ton of those

and then have like this
armor plated moment,

and yeah it's gonna be the
same color story on there with

a black crushed velvet base.

[light spacey electronic music]

- All right guys, well
I'm ready to level up

my mana and cast a
spell on all of you.

out the story of a great quest.

need to create looks

that fully embody
their character's
sense, might, and magic

and display it for us
here on the floor show.

dubbed the most powerful
player in all the land

and will receive a Queen's
Feast Gala at Medieval Times

- Dollya, you found the

at the beginning
of the challenge.

The key gives you
the ability to either

automatically save
yourself from extermination

or instantly put one of
your competitors up for

extermination.

Your only chance to
use it is right now.

that she wants up
for extermination,

I know I did an
amazing job today,

but now I'm shaking in my boots.

- Dollya, save yourself bitch!

adventure campaign was the
acting element of the challenge,

so that's going to
weigh very heavily

in the way you are judged.

- Before we begin I
want to remind you

that we are not here
to judge your drag,

drag is art, and
art is subjective.

What we are judging you on
is your drag as it relates to

this competition in
the challenges that
we put before you.

- So we're gonna
start with Maddelynn.

If I were to receive any
combination of race and class,

I'd probably want yours.

Look wise I appreciate
that you chose

the classic white
hair for a dark elf.

It looked fucking amazing.

- Maddelynn, I really
enjoyed your performance,

but I have to say I think
you were a bit upstaged

by your torch prop.

It was wild.

It drew my eye,

but then it took up
all the attention,

your outfit looked
quite simple next to it.

- I wouldn't say of today
yours was the strongest

performance, but one thing
that you did that I definitely

want to commend you for
when I gave you direction,

you took it.

The fact that you did a
change course when needed

it was definitely a good move.

of impressed us I
think overall today.

and we see someone taking

and letting it affect

particular note for you.

- Your tuck, was cunt.

and with each take, you just
brought more and more energy,

and it was just a
joy to watch you like

encapsulate the character
and have fun with it.

- I thought of
you as a character

out of a John Waters movie.

You were campy, you improved,
and you know not taking it

too seriously which I think is
kind of what it's all about.

- Landon, you look incredible.

- Yes, he was very solid.

You're really good you sort

of played the straight man
in a way, pun intended.

- Yeah.

- I mean I could use
a bit more variety

out of you acting wise

a little bit more humor
a little bit more improv,

come off book sometimes,

but all in all I thought
you were super solid.

- I will say I saw moments
where you were relishing what

was going on like when you
were killing Maddelynn,

that whole moment
I could see it.

- How much of that had to
do with what was going on

in the dungeon versus what
goes on in the boudoir?

- You know we bring
some of our own lives

into our characters
sometimes [laughs].

- As you should.

You are the knight elf warrior

straight out of
Kalimdor from Warcraft.

You could put anyone
to shame in that game.

So much detail, I
love it so much.

- The judges really seemed

to love my looks
and I think I have

a chance of winning this.

- Let's move onto Evah,

I think as far as
your look goes,

you had some really creative
elements that are unusual.

Can you turn around
and show us the tail?

See to me that is
very hard to do,

you did a really
good job with that.

You definitely gave us
reptilian warrior for sure.

- This look is filled
with so much imagination.

You took a lot of liberties
too like detailing some of your

warrior armor with feathers
which may not be the first

thing that someone would
think when they think

reptilian warrior or like
lizard folk, but it's

so successful, and it's just
like amazing to look at.

- It wasn't just the look,
you adopted the attitude,

and I could see from your
performance you really demanding

everyone else get on the
level that you were bringing.

It was a performance
and that was, it sold me

from the second you
walked in it was awesome.

and then you were
a force of nature,

and then the look, the dreads
and the feathers together,

the attention to detail
was truly staggering.

- You could be in Dark
Crystal 3 immediately,

was incredible.

You commanded it with a
Shakespearean authority,

I mean you were riveting.

- When someone just
really gives it their all,

you can tell.

You sold the performance.

You were committed to it.

It was really great honestly.

- You're not just getting these
good critiques because you

have a loaded crossbow
standing before us.

- Although I have to say when
she shot it for the first

time, and it actually stuck
in the wall of the dungeon

we were all like, oh!

liked what I did,

and I feel like I'm definitely
in the top this week,

which is so much better than
being in the bottom last week.

- That brings us to Maxi.

- The mask for the performance,

I think it was a misstep.

We couldn't hear your voice.

You were muffled, so for me

it was problematic.

- In the world of acting
your features are your trade.

It is what you use to
sell a performance.

You have to really
sell it in other ways,

and that's a very difficult
thing for even seasoned actors

to do so I don't know if this
was a good choice in terms of

this challenge because we
really needed to see you.

- As far as your look
goes, this is whimsical,

and there are some elements
that I really appreciate,

but your expressions were lost

and any kind of feeling from you

other than just the clothes.

- Thinking about it, I could
probably have done something

different to the mask
to make it easier,

but I liked it and I
felt my acting was good.

- I want to bring attention
to Louisianna and Hollow.

You both did extremely well.

You painted pictures with

your looks and your
performances of characters

from another world.

We all thoroughly enjoyed them.
