this week is, um,

it's a meat corset.

And it's kind of a commentary
on how the meat industry

and the dairy industry
is kind of villainous

You're gonna all be
very impressed by it.

- It's a treat inspired
by the paranormal

and monsters because growing up,

I always felt as being
queer and immigrant

I feel like I could
relate to monsters more

There's been times in
my life where I've been

so bullied to the point where
I don't even feel human.

You feel like a monster, you
feel like you don't belong

you feel like a
cockroach or something

and I think I like
to take those things

and just own it instead

So maybe I don't fit in here

Maybe I'm different and that's
great, that's me, you know

- So my character is based on...

My character is based on the
big giant horns of Hela in Thor

and I'm known for my red hair.

So I decided that I'm
gonna do a triple stack

and make her real, real big.

- So my drag is very demonic
influenced, you know

through anime and sci-fi
and fantasy movies

Seeing a whole world
where people can fly

and like I kind of
want to emulate that

with my character who's
ready for fucking war

- So I sketch out my
drawings very rudimentarily

My look for supervillains,
I'm obsessed with '40s,

the '40s and '50s, so my
look is head to toe PVC.

And also I'm doing whip
tricks because I'm very,

it's a trigger for me.

I grew up on a farm.

- I was like, what is
the best thing I can do

to represent my
drag and America,

and I was like, oh wait, duh

the biggest monster is America

So I'm gonna try to do
a Trump inspired thing,

like a catsuit, but if the
Trump thing doesn't work out,

because I don't want
to piss off all my kin

then I might just do a mohawk

and see if I can get that done.

but at the same time,

I'm glad to know I'm not

the weakest and the
strongest competitor

in this week's challenge.

We're going to offer
you each some critique

and we'll begin with Louisianna.

- Louisianna, I really
like where you're

coming from with this look.

It's very 1940s, black
and white superhero

sort of Black Widow vibe

But I don't think
you pushed it enough.

It's a little too
simple compared

to the other
competitors up here.

- It's kind of like she
got the villain part right

but not the super.

- Being told that my
outfit was villain

but not super villain
definitely took me aback

- Louisianna, what I
actually really, really liked

is you evoking that 1930s,
'40s Will Eisner spirit

I'm actually really
happy to see that

But I do think it could
have been pumped up

a little bit, particularly
around the head,

because you definitely read
as villain, not super villain.

One thing I might do
is pump up the hair

or maybe even wear a cape

But it definitely needs to
be amped up a little bit.

- I actually don't
think you need a cape

I actually like
that your shoulder

are showing and everything

I just, the only problem
I had with your look

is that when you
walk out on stage

compared to the other girls

they just brought
a little bit more

and so that was my
only issue with it.

But you do look
absolutely beautiful

very surprised at how

finished your outfit is

The details are really there

It's well put together

At the same time,
I'm not gettin

supervillain from this outfit

grocery store mascot

like meat's on sale this
week sort of energy from it.

- I always like to say that
a supervillain's costume

is a direct mirror
of the superhero's

It says something
about who they are

And I'm not quite
sure I understand

who it is you're fighting
or what you're fighting fo

kooky, it's fun

I think it represents
an aspect of villainy

that is nowhere
else on the stage.

We were looking for
more dark and edgy

So it almost feels
out of place to me.

- I hope it wasn't a mistake

- I think it's rare that
someone could pull off

a meat costume and
have it be well done.

- Your hair is so
different than what

the whole look is about.

So maybe if it mimicked
with the shoulder piece

on that meat outline, that'd
have been really, really cool.

But I love everything
in the little detail

Even the clear cape that you had

that reminded me of
walking in and out of

the meat freezer
in a grocery store

So I thought it was really
smart and really fun

have a place in Dragula

but tonight specifically
we asked you to give us

dark, badass supervillain
and you did not deliver

It's reflective of what's
going on politically

in our culture, in
our country right now

of the challenge tonight

- So my inspiration for
this runway was definitely

a lot of Tank Girl
and a lot of America

because that is the
biggest monster out there

- If I had a single note,
I have to say when I ever

see stars and stripes,
I think Captain America

or Wonder Woman, which
reads to me as hero.

And since you're
playing the villain

one thing I might have
liked to have seen

is some distress to the
stars and stripes pattern.

But otherwise tonight I
thought it was actually

a really amazing look.

- One thing that's really,
really, really bothering me

right now is that your
pants are showing like three

inches of extra
skin from your boot

So it's just like those
little, little details,

if you can refine
them and fix them

I think it would have taken
your look to another level.

- Phi Phi, you want
to start with Dollya?

- Dollya, I am obsessed
with your look.

It just reminds me of
everything that as a kid

I would see in a comic book

I just want to be you right now

Your makeup is beautiful

Everything, you just look
great, girl, I love it.

- Yeah, the treatment
of your eyes,

these red eyes are so haunting.

Even at this distance
it's so effective

You look slutty and demonic

and those are two of
my favorite things

It is genius.

everything are just right on

The details in the costuming,
and even though you

look sort of dark and badass,
which of course we love

you also have a little
bit of camp to you

with the D on your belt.

And so I think it's
just fantastic.

- To me this is the embodiment
of '90s supervillain

action figure come to life.

I feel like you stepped
out of an old Image comic

I absolutely love that you
gave yourself a symbol.

I think that's really important.

Superheroes and
supervillains always have

symbol somewhere on their body

even if it's the letter
of their first name

and you have that
emblazoned D on your belt

It's perfect, perfect.

- My critiques are
sounding pretty good,

so I think I might end up
winning this challenge.

- So Maxi, I just had
a couple of question

looking at your outfit.

And I could see that
you started with this

Terminator slash Borg sort
of contraption on your head,

but what I couldn't quite
figure out is why yo

didn't carry that through
the entirety of your look.

The rest of it is so
delicate compared

what's happening up here.

And it just feels really
incongruous to me

And so I'm just curious
why you did that

what sort of look you're
actually going for.

- Kind of like
anime, Dragon Ball Z,

so kind of like intergalactic
space prince king

that's here to
annihilate the world.

- The craftsmanship isn't there.

Your boots look fantastic,
there's a lot of detail there,

but as we go up your
outfit, it's missing a lot

It's leaving a
lot to be desire

Compared to the
other competitors

it's just not up to par

- I do think that
there's a problem

You've mixed too many different
materials in the outfit.

I make cosplay armor
too, so I can see and

understand where
you're coming from

but it's really hard when
you're taking so many

different materials
and forcing it to work

And I think that was
the problem there

- Honestly, Maxi, if
this is your best

and tonight would be a
night to give us your best

you are in trouble

- They didn't really
get my references

You know, I made everything
out of cardboard,

and I was like,
this looks great

And then looking around
the room, I was like,

this looks like garbage.

But there was still
a lot of work in it

and, you know, I don't
have a lot to work with

and my resourcefulness came
in and that's what I made

Evah, I think that from
the moment you came out

on stage, your
costume told a story.

There's like these
dark, shadowy tendrills

kind of like sorcerous vibes

Whatever it is, the way
that you started to move

across the stage
evoked a lot of power.

You look like you
are ready to fight.

- Your volume and silhouette
is perfect for a supervillain

You're taking up a lot
of space on the stage

Your makeup looks fantastic

You did very well
in this challenge

- For this week's challenge,

I'm very inspired
by Disney villains

I am loving the shape
of thorns and tentacles

and it's just all
very Maleficent.

- So I have to tell
you, I have about 1,000

mental notes in my
head about your look

because I'm obsessed with it

because I think
it is so perfect

What I've learned
over the years is that

all great villains, from
Cruella de Vil to Darth Vade

have memorable and
exciting headpiece

and that's exactly
what you have

I gasped when you came out

and I still can't get over it.

especially the part about
powerful, iconic villains

having amazing headpieces,
