[Episode 40]

Thank you for telling me the truth.

Ever since I got injured,

I was quite downcast and there has been a lot of criticism online.

My future is unknown right now,

so it's normal for advertisements to terminate the contract.

I just didn't expect

that the club had to pay the penalty.

Manager Ma hasn't thought of any good ideas.

Yeah.

For me, he was about to sell his precious car.

I'm really grateful to him,

but if it wasn't because of me then he wouldn't have bad relations with his dad.

- Bing-bing. - Fatty.

How come you're just getting here?

- Bing- bing, you already know? - Yes.

It's all right. We'll think of a solution together.

As I said, we will think of something as long as we do it together. (T/N: three ignorant cobblers add up to a genius)

Don't worry too much.

Relax. I've experienced so much already.

No matter what happens next, I will be brave and face it.

[Sugar Cube]

Hello?

We're waiting for you in the break room.

- You guys? - Yes.

Everyone.

This is...

- Manager Ma. - Our topic today is...

how to pay the penalty for the advertisements.

I believe that with everyone here, we can think of a good idea.

Thank you, everyone.

But I think I should borrow money from my parents first.

Yubing, I think you shouldn't bother your parents about this for now.

Manager Ma,

even though I haven't been at LUU for long,

I've already seen Yubing as my brother.

How about this?

This is my allowance. It's not much though.

I can also pawn my trophies.

Yu Yan, help me pawn my medals, too.

I've also thought it through.

We'll take out all our leftover living expense fees.

Take it out.

This is Old Xu's and my money for the wedding.

Use it for this emergency.

Wait a second.

I know everyone is trying to help me,

and I appreciate it but I have to say this.

Can we not use the method of using each other's money as a solution?

What other solution is there?

How about we go sell blood? That's a lot quicker.

I think I should go and work.

There's not enough time to work. There are only five days left.

Take it.

- You... - Take it.

But this position is very hot right now,

- you might not be able to get in. - Why is that?

Is it because the benefits are very good?

Of course, the benefits are good. But other than that, what is more appealing,

is the best looking guys in the school are all on that team.

On the first day I came to report,

someone told me...

the best looking guys in the school are all on the hockey team.

We can sell our faces.

- I think there's no problem with that. - I agree.

How are we supposed to sell our faces?

We can model for magazines and stuff.

The cute ones.

Yes. The purchasing power of fans is very high.

We can also develop spin-offs, such as desk calendars, notebooks, and such.

We can make more money then.

I take back what I said tonight.

You women are able to think of a solution more.

Wait. Is this reliable?

Even if each dorm at school buys one,

we still won't be able to earn the amount needed.

I think we need to increase the power to rally supporters.

Power to rally supporters?

Power to rally supporters?

I got it.

Fatty,

say what solution do you think Manager Ma has?

How would I know?

Stop worrying.

What are you guys doing?

Aren't we shooting photos? Then we need to be extra manly.

I'm not talking about that. Why are you taking off your clothes?

Hurry and put them back on.

Disgusting.

Why are you blushing, then?

Students, look and see who's here.

Xu Feng!

Enough. Keep quiet.

Xu Feng, I'm really thankful that you came to help with this favor.

I should. I also hope that I can do something for LUU's ice hockey team.

I already heard about the situation from Ma Xiaoshan.

I think we'll be fine. All the difficulties are temporary.

- We'll overcome them together. - Yes!

Handsome, can I take a picture with you?

You can't.

- Me too! - You don't need it.

Watch your manners. Don't embarrass me today.

Yubing, you look better.

Much better than when I met you last time.

When are you planning to get back to the field?

- Actually, I— - Bing-bing always wanted to get back there.

But before his health recovers, we won't let him go on. Isn't that right, Bing-bing?

That... Ice God, you're my idol.

Can I take a picture with you?

Behave yourself.

I can't hold it in anymore either.

Ice God, you're also my idol. In a while, give me your autograph and let's take a picture.

Oh right, Ice God. When you have time, help persuade Li Yubing.

He wants to get back on the rink. He keeps secretly practicing but his body can't handle it.

Don't talk about the past. It's meaningless to mention that now.

I'm not talking about the past.

You need to rest well to be fully recovered. Once you're all better, we still have a battle.

That... Ice God, count me in for a picture.

You guys are bullying me as a cover to be fanboys, right?

That's right! I can tell, too. Ma Xiaoshan, you called me here not to solve hardships

but to take pictures with them.

- No. - I finally understand, Ice God.

- Enough. Let's start working. - Let's go!

Come on.

The pictures weren't bad.

- Ice God. - Sit. - You're here.

You young folks talk. I won't be in your way.

Hello, I'm Tang Xue from the short track speed skating team.

- You've worked hard today. Drink this. - Thank you.

Yubing, after coming today, I finally realized how blissful you are.

Look at the people around you.

Your coach, manager, teammates, and friends all support you.

Give yourself some confidence. You can definitely go back on the rink.

Okay, I know.

Of course, what's most important is your girlfriend.

She's such a nice girl.

Do you know why he's the Ice God?

He has such good taste and sharp eyes. He knows I'm a good girl the first time he met me.

Don't make her proud, Ice God.

She's about to join the national team. It's very competitive there.

- Don't you know how to be modest? - That's good.

This is called confidence. I can tell.

When I saw her today, it was like the first time I saw you.

The two of you are shining.

- Shining? - Shining?

- Dreams don't shine by themselves. - What shines is you, the one chasing after your dream.

Zhou Ran.

Do you also like to hear the sound of the waves?

That's right.

If you listen carefully, the sound of the waves

is different every second.

I used to be like you.

I liked to record the sound of the waves,

but then I realized

that the sound of the waves is full of changes.

They are like fingerprints and cannot be replicated.

I never thought I would meet someone with the same thought.

Can I sit here?

Sure.

I was just in the College Speech Competition.

I thought you would be the strongest competitor.

Who would've known that I won that easily?

You used to sign up for these events.

How come you didn't sign up this time?

I've made mistakes after all and reported fake news.

If I compete,

who is willing to see a person like me give a speech on stage?

If you want to say it then I'm willing to listen.

Perhaps, I should tell the police.

What do you mean?

It has evidence of the boss of Black Scorpions asking people to beat up Li Yubing.

It's really them? Why didn't you take it out earlier?

At that time, my head was filled with taking revenge on Li Yubing,

but I didn't expect that it would be this severe.

However, everything is too late now.

I know that we once did wrong things,

but we're still young.

There's nothing that is too late.

I also regret not knowing what I really cared about

and hurt Tang Xue.

So what do you really care about?

What is the dream you had at the very beginning?

You don't know what to do.

Perhaps you should listen

to your inner voice.

[Tang Xue; Lincheng Union University]

[The Police Station of Lincheng]

[Address to: The Police Station of Lincheng]

[Xu Feng, Li Yubing, Yu Yan]

Come and take a look! International star, Xu Feng's calendar!

¥50 for one! Buy ten and get one free! This one is yours.

- This one is yours. - Over here! - You'll definitely want to buy one!

- Give me ten! - Ten!

- You get one for free. - Five hundred.

This one is yours.

Scan the code first!

Here's yours.

How is it going?

The sales are way better than what we expected. No matter if it's here or online,

we've sold more than what we've printed.

Xu Feng has too many fans. They're everywhere!

Manager Ma, I have to say you are a genius.

I had no choice.

Do we have enough money now?

Speaking from philosophical points of views, to pay for the penalty, we need to sell

- three more. - What? There's only three more left?

- I'll buy them! - Give them all to me!

Today is the fifth day and I did it.

Keep this money for yourself.

In the future, solve your own problems.

- Dad, what do you mean by this? Dad, you can't go back on your words! - Manager Ma!

People all know about the sale of the desk calendars.

The advertisers have reevaluated the influence and business value of the XDragons club.

Not only are they withdrawing the penalty, but they're also increasing the sponsorship for us.

The sponsorship for Li Yubing has extended to the entire team.

They just faxed the new contract over.

[Labor Contract]

The chairman said mean things but he means well.

He saw you suffer so much because of this problem.

His heart was hurting. Oh right,

your bank card has been reactivated.

Actually, the chairman had it all arranged a while ago.

The money will be used to cover daily expenditures for the club. You are in charge of the money.

Then, what about Li Yubing?

He already decided to let Li Yubing stay on the team.

You guys were testing me.

How dare you play me like this?

This isn't over with my dad. It's not over.

Manager Ma, everything is already solved but why are you still mad?

- Don't stop me. - Manager Ma!

Let go! My dad still has my car keys.

Master Tang.

Thank you.

What is it?

The paper crane that I gave Bian Cheng?

Tang Xue, forgive me for not having the courage to apologize in front of you.

By the time you read this letter,

my report probably also made it into the hands of the police.

Many people once said that when you're young, you'll make a lot of mistakes,

but I always thought I wouldn't.

Nothing could go wrong in my life [Breaking! The truth behind Li Yubing's injury, a must-read for XDragrons fan]

But it turns out that I am the one who has made the biggest mistake.

I hope that everything isn't too late right now.

I hope that Li Yubing can recover soon

and you'll return to the short track speed skating rink soon.

That way I'll be at ease.

Giving you my best blessings, Bian Cheng.

Do you know why we beat you?

Zhen Wuyan.

We suspect that you are involved in several cases of intentional injury.

Please go to the police station with us and cooperate in our investigation.

Officers.

There must be a misunderstanding.

Bing-bing!

There is a trending post in the online forum of LUU.

Is it related to you?

It's related to you.

[Breaking! The truth behind Li Yubing's injury, a must-read for XDragrons fan]

The post overturned all the negative news and images about you.

The person who wrote this is... Bian Cheng.

[School of Journalism]

Why did you do that?

This isn't your goal, right?

It wasn't for you.

I just wanted to rediscover my true self.

What's your goal now?

My goal won't change, which is reporting facts,

letting light shine into the darkness.

Thank you.

What are you guys still hesitating about?

Be a man and stop dawdling.

How come you guys are here?

You're allowed to come and thank him but I can't come?

I led her here.

In the future, we're all friends.

Friends?

Friends.

Good for you.

Full score for the clash.

This is for you, Coach.

Really?

Am I that tall?

You're as tall as the sun.

It suits you, Big Jiang.

Okay!

When I graduate, I'll teach you every day. Okay?

Let's go.

- Bye Coach. - Bye-bye.

You're going to the national team with Tang Xue tomorrow, right?

Did you look at the answer that I gave you?

I haven't yet.

Why didn't you look at it?

I'm leaving. Bye-bye.

[Scratch Card]

[Thank]

When you scratch off the first word of "thank you,"

you already know you didn't win.

Why scratch off the rest?

I'm not sure about that.

The Golden Shield you gave me last time expired.

I need a new one.

Little Tang Xue!

Congrats, you're finally becoming my teammate.

I don't know if I can even stay.

You can do it.

You came all the way here to give me this?

Didn't I promise you

that when you join the national team, I would bring corn to welcome you.

I'm about to go abroad to do training and compete.

I'll be gone for a long time.

If you have some technical problems that you don't understand,

then you can just call or text me.

Brother Dajing, do you think I can be like you and also get a championship?

And run around the rink with the five-starred red flag in my hand bringing honor to our country?

Do you remember what I told you?

You have to believe in yourself and follow your dreams.

Thank you.

You were the one who told me to keep going after I joined short track speed skating again.

I won't disappoint you.

Then let's meet in the 2022 Winter Olympics.

We'll get our awards together.

Little Huan-huan, congrats.

You finally fulfilled your dream and saw your sloths,

right?

Little Huan-huan.

Hi, Xiao Yu. Did you see it? I finally saw the sloths.

I saw it. Congrats, you finally fulfilled your dream.

I'm coming back next week.

You have to study well and wait for me to come back.

- Hello. - Hello!

Put the camera to your left a bit.

Like this?

Who's this foreigner?

This one?

He's my classmate.

Your classmate?

Your classmate can put his arm on your shoulder?

Did you become so open-minded abroad now?

He just put his hand there. Everyone does that here.

No matter how outgoing they are, he can't put his arm on your shoulder.

Hurry and come back.

If you don't come back then I'll go over there to capture you back.

Are you the king of jealousy?

Let him pay attention.

Okay, I know.

The ability to judge and make a decision is vital for people to live in society.

People will measure this ability in their minds.

The one with less ability

is deemed as inferior and weak in surviving

and will even be eliminated.

Every time someone mentions our mistakes

or questions our ability to judge and make decisions,

most people will think they are in an inferior position in the game of judgment.

Then, how would they feel?

The equilibrium of the mind will be broken.

The lecture ends here today. Class dismissed.

Thank you.

Let's go.

Although I'm not a love expert,

it's enough to win one person's heart.

My phone can't scan codes.

Can I pay in cash?

I'll pay.

Thank you. I'll give you cash.

No need, it's my treat.

How can that be okay?

You're like a friend that I know.

There's also this.

I drew this myself.

Also, when I did this, I accidentally cut my finger.

Let me take a look.

Does it hurt?

You're so cringey.

There's also this.

You're my best friend and... my boyfriend.

I swear this is the first time I did such a cringey thing.

It's nice to have you.

It is not a school for building bridges. (T/N: "Jian qiao" sounds like building bridges in Chinese)

Okay, don't worry.

I'll visit you when I'm on summer break.

Bye-bye.

What a coincidence.

Are you also going to Cambridge University for postgraduate study?

The Li Yubing now is holding the hockey stick again.

Yu Yan is confident as always and going towards his goal of becoming the world champion.

For me and Zhang Yuewei,

we're also representing China's short track speed skating team

to reach for an international stage of a higher level.

Hongshuang, who used to be the slowest one on the team,

has now became a real world champion.

Everyone of us are on our own path to achieving our dreams.

We shine like the brightest star.

The road toward our dream is rocky.

We've been through confusion, sorrow, failures, and injuries.

But all of this cannot compare to the satisfaction when we achieve our goal and overcome ourselves.

And the joy when your dream has been finally been realized.

If you're lost in what your future will be like,

then ask yourself what you're really passionate about,

what is your dream?
