the fossils preserved.

keeping this thing alive.

It looked to me
like a deep crater,

but now it's got me thinking.

- Its nest, maybe?

steer clear of the area.

I was thinking more along
the lines of my dad.

apparently created by an
intense underground explosion.

The lack of wildlife in the area

may indicate that a
geophysical limnic eruption

has taken place in
Boulder Canyon.

While only two such
limnic eruptions

have ever been
recorded previously.

And now for a little history
lesson on Boulder Canyon.

The first inhabitants
of Boulder Canyon

were the Pueblo Indians.

In the late 1800s, the Southern
