A man is desperately waiting for a call from a kidnapper.

At that time...

Hello?

Did you pick up my phone? Can you return it now?

A strange woman is asking him to return the phone out of the blue.

- You got the wrong number. - No, I didn't.

I'm sure you have my phone.

You got the wrong number.

He was dispirited and devastated.

He sends her the missing person poster...

as he's out of options.

Surprisingly...

I saw this girl named Da Bin.

She claims to have witnessed his missing daughter.

But the timeline is a bit off.

They got the date of the disappearance wrong.

It's August now. But it said September on the poster.

Is it August there?

Are you kidding me?

It's September here.

They're connected with a month-difference in the timeline.

Please save my wife and my daughter.

You're the only person who can save them.

A man from the future must find his kidnapped daughter.

Mom.

Mom?

A woman from the past must find her missing mom.

Are you really from the future?

Can you please find my mom?

When the phone rings at 10:33 p.m.,

their alliance that travels time begins.

We can only talk from 10:33 p.m. to 10:34 p.m.

We only have a minute.

One minute is all they have.

What should I do?

Will they be able to change their destiny...

and save their loved ones?

What did you do to Da Bin?

PREMIERE OF KAIROS

has this ever crossed your mind?

I really want to turn back time.

In this drama, two people are connected between the past...

and the future just for one minute a day to change the future.

Hurry!

Like its title, Kairos,

which means an opportunity or a critical moment.

Did you get any calls from my mom?

- Mom. - Ae Ri from a month ago...

must find her mother who went missing.

Please send Da Bin back safely.

Seo Jin's daughter gets kidnapped a month later.

What did you do to her?

Not to waste the chance to travel time for a minute,

they will try their best.

There's something I must tell you.

Da Bin is in danger.

A month ago, she went to Seo Jin...

and warned him about his daughter's abduction.

After Kim Da Bin gets kidnapped,

she will be murdered. A few weeks later...

When he learns new facts that he didn't know before,

a month later, with a severe headache,

Seo Jin remembers new memories too.

A month later, in my world,

you are in prison.

As Seo Jin knows Ae Ri's future,

he can rescue her from trouble.

You will save my life, Ms. Han.

And I will save yours.

When the past changes, the future changes.

And if one knows the future, one can stop a tragedy.

What an epic theme.

Did a woman look for her phone here?

To depict a month difference in their timelines,

they made changes in their looks too.

Seo Jin is paired with cool colors such as blue.

Ae Ri is paired with soft colors such as amber.

It's something to look out for.

And...

First, you should come to see me.

And there's a secret behind the cell phones which are...

used as the connecting agent between the past and the future.

- It's 10:33 p.m. - Hello?

This is Kim Seo Jin.

They can only talk to each other for one minute.

The fee will apply after the tone.

Will they be able to create a chance within...

this short amount of time to change their destiny?

Do you think you'll believe me a month ago?

When I meet Da Bin again,

there's something I must tell her.

Please send back Da Bin!

Name your price. I'll get it for you.

Kairos is a thriller drama where the character travels time...

and struggles in order to save the people they love.

Shin Sung Rok, Lee Se Young, Ahn Bo Hyun,

Nam Gyu Ri, Kang Seung Yoon, and so on.

The drama was perfected with amazing performances...

of the cast members who guarantee good acting.

The moment I read the script,

I really wanted to do this drama and thought the story was amazing.

That's what I thought when I first started to work on this drama.

Shin Sung Rok plays the youngest coldhearted director in the drama.

Is accurately estimating it that hard of a job?

Tell them to check the price table.

Fix the estimated process rate and report it to me.

My character lived a life of a perfectionist.

He got to where he is without any help or connections.

Kim Seo Jin is the perfect employee,

but there's an unspeakable trauma behind his character.

He needs pills to calm his nerves.

Psychologically, he's in pain.

But when his daughter gets kidnapped,

he's fighting with everything he has to turn back time.

Sung Rok's sorrowful performance as a father in despair...

who has lost his daughter is garnering attention from people.

I'm Lee Se Young. I'm playing the role of Han Ae Ri.

Actress Lee Se Young is taking a huge part in the plot.

When I decided to play Ae Ri,

I gave it a lot of thought on how to depict this character.

I cut my hair very short for the 1st time in 29 years.

CHUCKLING

With a different look,

she transformed into Han Ae Ri, a resourceful job seeker.

JOB SEEKER, HAN AE RI

She's trying her best to make money by working at a convenience store.

And she's trying to get a job too. But her mother is very sick.

So she's living a diligent life to save money for the surgery.

- She's brave and healthy. - Hello.

- But one day, - Ms. Kwak Song Ja was discharged.

- What? - when her mother who had been...

the pillar of her life goes missing, Ae Ri sinks into a pit of despair.

I have...

my mom's phone.

Lee Se Young expresses the delicate feelings...

of hope and despair that her character feels.

Look forward to her transformation.

We keep pulling out because of the rain.

Can you finish it by the end of this week or not?

Ahn Bo Hyun plays Seo Do Gyun,

Seo Jin's meticulous right hand.

You're working so hard to fill in for Director Kim.

I'll make sure there are no issues when he returns from his vacation.

He seems perfect, but nobody knows what he's thinking.

His character is going to develop and change throughout the drama.

My amazing fellow actors and friends...

are so reliable. The script is very fun too.

Can you give me another one?

A competent husband and a lovely daughter.

Your dad's tired.

She has the perfect family that everyone desires.

Nam Gyu Ri plays Kang Hyun Chae,

an elegant violinist and Seo Jin's wife.

This is her first time playing the role of a mother.

KANG HYUN CHAE, SEO JIN'S WIFE

This is my first time acting...

as a wife and a mother.

I'll be showing a different side of me.

Do you miss your daughter?

Let me talk to Da Bin!

Let me just hear her voice!

Gyu Ri has never played the role...

of a desperate mother. You can look forward to it.

I lost Da Bin because of you.

Hello, my name is Kang Seung Yoon. I play Im Geon Wook...

in Kairos, a Monday-Tuesday MBC drama.

He's Ae Ri's close friend.

Is he your boyfriend?

He's a debtor.

Kang Seung Yoon plays Im Geon Wook,

a troublemaker friend who owes her money.

Geon Wook...

has always been quiet and isolated.

But he'll do anything for Ae Ri.

Who was he?

Don't ask any questions and just do as I say.

He's a friend who's of great help.

- He's Director Kim Seo Jin. - I see.

Sir, thank you for coming.

His wife will be performing today.

Is that so?

Seo Jin is the chairman's favorite,

so he puts his work before his family.

Let's look for your dad. Where is he?

- Where is he? - Over there.

Da Bin seems to be used to seeing her dad look so busy...

and doesn't approach him.

However, she accidentally breaks a glass.

Come here.

Seo Jin is more worried about those around him...

than his startled daughter.

If you're going to misbehave, just go home.

I want to watch Mom play the violin.

You've startled everyone.

The reason why he's so sensitive is because he's planning...

to establish himself in the company through his wife's performance.

Feeling proud, he watches her perform.

The performance is reaching its climax.

While her nanny is distracted,

Da Bin leaves the room.

Da Bin.

Da Bin.

Like so, Da Bin vanished.

Da Bin disappeared.

What do you mean?

Da Bin!

The parents find out about it a little too late.

They become even more anxious when they fail to find her...

within the golden time.

Did you get anything?

It's highly likely that this isn't like the other missing cases.

Suddenly, Seo Jin receives a call.

Kim Seo Jin speaking.

Your daughter is well.

Who are you?

I'll call you again.

The police carry out an extensive investigation,

but they have trouble narrowing down the culprit.

Is there anyone who'd resent Mr. Kim?

He's extremely competent.

Not everyone can become a director at such a young age.

Many people must've envied him.

From my understanding, there's no one...

who'd resent him so much to do this.

- Meanwhile... - I'm home.

Hi, my daughter. You haven't eaten, have you?

- No. - Ae Ri lives with her mom.

Our mom truly is a great cook.

You make it sound like you're her daughter.

She remains optimistic despite living a difficult life.

Her wish is to save up enough money...

for her mom's heart transplant.

That's when she hears the news.

We've found a suitable donor for your mom.

My mom is finally...

receiving a heart transplant.

But her happiness doesn't last long.

Her mom's health deteriorates.

Shock!

Thankfully, she survives.

But Ae Ri is distraught.

To make matters worse...

What?

She loses her phone.

She can't remember when or where she lost it.

- Someone called. - Hurry up and call them.

She thinks...

the person who picked up her phone is avoiding her.

You're finally picking up.

You picked up my phone, didn't you?

- You called the wrong number. - On August 9,

- it'll arrive in Korea. - Could you lower the volume?

If you picked up someone else's phone,

you should give it back!

As I said, you called the wrong number.

Seo Jin is dumbfounded to receive a call from her...

while waiting for the kidnapper's call.

He decides to text her the missing person flyer.

MISSING GIRL

Why are you sending me this and not my phone?

Surprisingly, Ae Ri has seen her before.

Yes, this teddy bear. I'm certain it was her.

Meanwhile, the police are seeing progress...

in their search for Da Bin.

Over here!

But they only find her teddy bear.

You should assume...

that she's dead.

Seo Jin and Hyun Chae...

are in despair by the news.

You were by her side that day.

Are you blaming me?

You always put yourself first before us.

In the midst of being resented and feeling endless regrets,

he refuses to give up on Da Bin.

He backtraces her daughter's whereabouts.

In order to find a lead,

he listens to the call he had with the kidnapper.

You picked up my phone, didn't you? Please give it back.

That's when he listens to the call he had with Ae Ri.

- You called the wrong number. - On August 9,

- it'll arrive in Korea. - Could you lower the volume?

He notices something strange.

He focuses on the news anchor's voice.

- As of today, August 8, - I'm the owner...

- the typhoon is in Okinawa. - of that phone.

The call was made yesterday,

but the news is from a month ago.

Will these two be able to overcome the time gap...

and prevent the upcoming tragedy?

I'm living one month later than you are.

Both of them need to save the ones they love.

What do you need me to do?

Will their cooperation beyond time succeed?

When I meet Da Bin again,

there's something I must tell her.

Kairos is full of unpredictable crises, conflicts,

and twists.

The drama premieres on October 26 at 9:20 p.m.
