[Episode 9]

The younger Li Yubing, who was scared of bugs

and thugs is all grown up.

I watched the game today.

Actually, both of the teams' abilities were similar.

XDragons could win, it's completely because you were brave enough.

But many people don't understand that braveness is very precious.

You already became a better version of yourself.

Actually, you also have credit for my change.

I learned my braveness from you.

Then after you get into the national team and go to the Olympics,

don't ever forget I worked as an assistant to you.

Actually, Tang Xue, you've changed as well.

How did I change?

You also became a better version of yourself.

Even praising someone is so insincere. You are copying me.

So, do you still want to skate?

Of course.

But I know...

short track speed skating to me is as far away as the stars now.

What's wrong?

I'm just not resigned to it.

If we went to the same middle school,

what would it be like right now?

If...

I can start over again...

It's getting late. Let's go back and rest.

Let's go.

What are you doing?

My computer is broken. I'm borrowing yours to edit an official photo.

I watched the game today. Actually, both of the teams' abilities were similar.

XDragons could win, it's completely because you were brave enough.

Why would you secretly like him?

I also don't know.

Perhaps everyone will have someone like that during that time.

Then, do you still like him right now?

Some feelings cannot be generalized by like or dislike.

Because that was my entire youth.

How much do you like him?

Liking him to the point

when I dreamed of getting into the same university as him every day.

You've fallen for her?

I haven't.

I just feel uneasy when I heard her say those things.

You can't fool me, you've changed.

I haven't!

Bing-bing! I know I don't want to disturb you,

but you shouldn't make my official photo look like E.T.!

Huan-huan, look. I got you something tasty!

It's almost lunchtime. Are you still going to eat later?

Eat. I'm just afraid Huan-huan will ould be hungry so this is just a snack.

You're so thin, you need to eat more.

I got a family bucket.

No, I don't want to eat.

He already brought it.

- Just eat a bit. What are you reading that's making you not want to eat? - Exactly.

Master Tang, I'm worried to death.

Currently, there is an average of 75 animal species that go extinct every day.

And now because of global warming, South Pole's iceberg is melting.

The habitat for small penguins is becoming fewer and fewer.

They are so pitiful.

I'm thinking if one day I could join the research team,

I definitely want to become a member of "Save the Penguins."

No need to spend money on Penguin Memberships, I have them all. (Y/N: referring to memberships on the chatting platform, Tencent QQ)

For example, the red diamond, green diamond, blue diamond. I'll give them to you later.

That's why Master Tang, my biggest dream right now

is to go to the South Pole one day to rescue those animals.

My biggest dream right now is that I can go with you when that day comes.

Master Tang, what's your dream?

My dream...

Maybe the moment I gave up short track speed skating,

I didn't have a dream anymore.

Okay, good. Make sure to have feeling.

Do you still want to skate?

Of course.

But I know

short track speed skating to me is as far away as the stars now.

Xiao Xia, where do you want to have lunch later?

Don't just stare. You're so skinny. You should eat more!

Look at our Master Tang, at how healthy looking she is.

I don't mean it that way.

I need to take this call. You two go ahead.

Bye-bye.

Later, behind our school...

Manager Ma, what's up?

Tang Xue, do you have time? Come over to the gym.

Manager Ma, have you forgotten?

I already terminated the contract. I'm no longer your assistant.

You've misunderstood! Come to the rink if you are free.

Coach Chu of the short track speed skating wants to see you.

The short track speed skating team needs an assistant, too?

You child, why are you so stubborn?

I just want to ask you. Do you want to train in short track speed skating?

Short track speed skating?

Definitely!

Please come in.

You are Coach Chu?

You're Tang Xue.

If I remember correctly when you were eleven,

you became the city-level junior 500-meter speed skating champion.

At 13 years old, you broke the record

for the fastest middle school 500-meter race in the entire province.

When you were 15, although you were training at a non-professional sports school,

you still skated into a national top ten spot.

But at 16,

because of an injury, you disappeared from the short track speed skating world.

Are you from the National Security Agency?

I've known about you since a long time ago.

And I coincidentally saw you and Zhang Yuewei's

friendly contest last time. Though you lost to her for quite a bit,

I could tell that you have the foundation.

I don't understand what you mean.

What I want to say is that our LUU XDragons Team's mission

is to gather the best athletes. I want to see your current level.

If your level reaches our standards and you agree to it as well,

you can join our short track speed skating team.

What? You are not willing?

Willing... I'm willing...

It's just... a bit unbelievable.

Then let's not waste time talking.

Change your shoes and get on the ice. Let's go.

Is this for real or not?

Isn't that the Autobot from the inline skating race?

Yeah. Last time she lost to Sister Wei-wei.

What is she doing here? Unless Coach Chu is letting her join the team?

Timed 500-meters, you only have one chance.

Her start was good, but her turning is poor. She was better at inline skating.

You should just pray that she gets into the team.

Or else, your time is still the slowest.

What are you saying?

All right, stop talking nonsense. Just watch.

She's still not good enough.

I can start over.

There's no need. I've seen enough.

You have the foundation but since you haven't trained for a while, your muscles have degenerated quite severely.

There's a huge gap compared to professional athletes.

I can do it.

With your current condition,

even with your best efforts, it'll be hard to reach the professional skill level to compete in a short amount of time.

If our speed skating team needs you, Manager Ma will contact you.

That's all for now.

What are you doing?

I went to the restroom.

You're bringing ice skates to the restroom and it's the one in the gym.

What? The toilet in your dorm is clogged?

So that's what happened.

Well, Old Tang, you're already really good.

Even Coach Chu noticed you.

You can count on one hand the number of people she pays attention to in LUU.

That's pretty good.

You don't have to comfort me. I know there's no hope.

She told you to wait for news, that doesn't mean there's no hope. Everything good requires patience.
