[Episode 28]

[Righteousness]

[Righteousness]

It doesn't matter. If not this time, there can be a next time.

[March 1st, Friday. Focus decides everything.]

I believe that there's is no objective I can't reach.

Li Yubing...he won't be happy for too long.

[Interview appointment with Mr. Zhen of Back Scorpions]

Why are glaring at me?

Yes, it was me that Bian Cheng.

If you want to tell grandmother or aunt, go ahead.

I just think it's odd. I've never done anything to you that I can be ashamed of.

I've searched my heart and there's nothing.

Why do you have to treat me like this? Besides, you're my cousin; don't you think this is crossing the line.

Me crossing the line?

Tang Xue, I'm telling you

being your cousin is the most unlucky thing of my life.

What do you mean? Be clear.

Someone who has been the center of attention;

been the person who is coddled; how can you see other people's disappointments?

You're right. You do owe me an apology.

Since we were young until now, whether in the family or out,

the center of attention has always been you. You're the only one competing.

The whole family was involved in keeping up the fighting spirit. [idiom: move troops and stir up the people.]

What about me?

Who paid attention to my prize in the English language competition?

Who paid attention when I brought home those three citations for outstanding student?

It was you who stole all the praise and concern that belonged to me.

I still want to ask you.

How am I inferior to you? Why should I have to live in your shadow?

But I never tried to steal anything away from you.

But, in practice, you did steal it from me.

So I really hate you.

Karma is a bitch.

Brother Bing, you were something this time.

Are you still praising him? Bing Bing almost punched someone.

If he'd really punched him, he'd have been suspended from competition.

You play center-forward and I am the goalie?

I never realized before that Bian Cheng was that kind of person.

It wasn't the right method to use to accomplish something.

Huan Huan, if you encounter someone like that in the future,

you'll have to stop me. I'm afraid I'd beat him to death.

Don't worry. I'll definitely restrain that person. I'm afraid you might be beaten to death.

Brother Bing, that's called charging in fury on behalf of a beautiful woman.

What's wrong, Master Tang. You're still not happy?

I was thinking that the reason Zhou Ran was biased against me for some many years was because of that.

Shakespeare said, 'Be careful of jealousy.

It's a green-eyed monster.'

Zhou Ran is jealous of you.

I'm afraid it's she very much wants to become someone like you.

Old Deng here performed an excellent service by catching the person manipulating from behind the scenes.

I should thank all of you for my soul partners' guidance.

What?

I think that your spiritual guide...

Why do you two pick at each other every time you meet?

You two...can't be a romantic couple, could you?

I have something to say to you.

I've said everything I need to say.

Right now, I'm in a hurry to go register. Don't block me again.

These two minutes...

There are only ten more minutes left to register.

Are you happy?

What are you doing?

You're registered.

Who asked you to concern yourself with my business?

What I want to say to you is this.

Since I was young until now, you've always been the outstanding student with outstanding character in the eyes of the head of the family.

In other kids' eyes, you're a kid from a different family.

You've never lacked young men to pursue you.

So, since I was young, I never got out from behind your shadow either.

From now on, please don't disappear; don't snatch away the praise that belongs to me.

Sister.

Don't be like that.

For this season, our most competitive opponents

are Tong City's strong team, the Black Scorpions.

Their attack style is strong, tough, unyielding and vicious.

They are especially skilled at collisions and power plays.

So, we must be prepared in advance

to face this kind of opponent. Every one says that's the way it should be done.

Strength meets strength. And its' done.

Wrong.

Comprehensive defense to achieve a tie.

Even more incorrect. Avoid their spearhead; strike where the enemy is unprepared is the best method.

Yubing. You're always the one doing the major attacks.

So you could say, when your group is attacking, you absolutely must not charge on impulse.

You must find a screen to complete a good pass the puck to a teammate.

The first group completes its attack,

the second group, the third group, the fourth group

must continue to maintain this method.

Do your best to exhaust their energies and give Yubing time to create our best opportunities.

Understood?

- Yes. - We understand.

Don't worry. I won't let everyone down.

That's exactly the attitude I need from you.

Yubing, you'll be responsible for the attack.

- Jiang Shijia, you take two people to be responsible for defense. - Okay.

We'll practice this attack and defense on half the court.

Come on.

That's the right way.

Again.

Again.

Here, Bing Bing. Spray a little of this on it.

You understand the risks of this sports arena better than me.

I can understand that you're doing well right now.

After five years go by, ten years?

You're an ordinary person, when you get to be 29 years old, you'll just be entering society.

However, an athlete

may have reached the end of his road.

Occasionally an injury received in competition,

can force you to forfeit your career.

What are you thinking about?

Nothing.

- Thank you. - You're welcome.

[Men's Apartments]

Li Yubing! Li Yubing!

What are you thinking about?

Something on your mind?

It's actually nothing.

It's just that when I dreamed last night,

I had a severe injury

then I saw Tang Xue really sad.

I'm just curious.

I never worried about myself having such a severe injury.

You a grown-up with more concerns.

Concerns?

Did Coach Chu leave you because she was afraid of you getting hurt?

What nonsense are you talking about?

We never separated.

Sooner or later, she will

fall for me and my fancy pants.

At that time, she told me

worries are the most useless.

It only frustrates us, not motivates us.

I'll watch every game of yours.

Don't embarrass me.

Every competition, no matter if she comes or not

I always feel like a pair of eyes are watching me

making my body full of energy.

You can ask what Tang Xue thinks.

Isn't that better than just randomly guessing?

Forget it. She will think that I'm useless.

In front of your love interest, don't pretend.

- Coach Chu. - Yu Yan.

You are here.

This is your new training plan I made.

Take a look at it.

[Training Plan]

How is your recovery?

I'll adjust myself.

There's still time until the National Championship.

But I hope you could raise

the difficulty and your competitive spirit. I've said it before.

Your goal should be on the level of the world's top thletes.

Okay?

I know.

Cheer up.

Don't give him so much pressure.

I'm being responsible towards him.

The National Championship is very important to him.

I think it's more important to you.

It's important to the both of us.

Talking about you.

I...

Pick up the phone. Mom's worried about you.

Come back home next week. I'll help you adjust yourself.

There's still time until the National Championship.

But I hope during this time...

You could raise difficulty...

and your competitive spirit...

Everyone you guys are about to attend the competition.

I'll repeat it.

How you fare in the Championship

will affect your future.

You'll be eligible to join the national team if you perform well.

so starting from today on, no one is allowed to request for a leave.

Tang Xue.

You are doing well. I hope you step it up.

This is your new training schedule.

[Training Schedule]

Zhang Yuewei and I are training so much more.

Haven't you always wanted to beat her?

I'll give you two an opportunity to help each other.

Don't rest until you catch up with her training.

Do you have any problems?

No!

Okay.

Everyone is dismissed. Let's meet at the ice rink this afternoon on time.

Thank you, Coach.

Coach, I don't understand why I have to train with Tang Xue.

I don't have the energy for her.

You also know what this competition means to me.

It's the closest I've ever been from the national team.

No matter what, I can't let anything go wrong.

I can understand your feelings.

Letting you be partners with Tang Xue is not only because of her but also for you.

Me?

Come over and take a look.

What changed in this tank?

Tang Xue is like this little dark fish.

She's rash but she doesn't give up. She only charges forward.

She's a stimulus to the entire team.

Hongshuang and Jinyu don't want to lose to her. Both have improved.

You, you are the one who needs a stimulus the most.

You're a team member that every coach wants.

You are as disciplined as one can get.

But you are missing energy.

Every athlete wants to go up

Mechanical repetition is not enough.

You must leave your comfort zone in order to realize your dream.

Keep challenging your limit.

I saw the sparkle between you two.

You are her goal. She's your catalyzer.

-Still not going? -Let's take a break.

Who gave that red string? You keep wearing it.

My family member.

No wonder.

You're quite blissful.

Why?

At least your parents will come over to argue with you.

Arguing is consider blissful?

Your parents don't argue with you?

Weiwei!

Old place. Let's go.

Coming!

Here. This is for you.

What's wrong?

She lost the bet.

Tang Xue, keep going.

As long as you fare well,

then I'll have soy milk for another day.

I suggest you buy wholesale.

There are not enough in the selling machine.

The familiar smell.

- Sit here. - How are you doing?

You three finally showed up.

-If you three don't come, I would've forgotten about you. -What are you talking about?

-We're here. -We've been busy.

The usual?

- The usual. - The usual.

Okay, wait.

Wei, I heard from Coach Chu

that you've been training with Tang Xue.

- I'm thinking... - She no longer needs me looking after her.

Not that. Is she pulling your leg?

Then you're really looking down upon your girlfriend.

Good.

Stop playing on your phone.

People are bored enough to leave messages here.

Li Yubing!

The dishes are here!

Stop reading those. Food is here.

Sit down please.

The usual.

Go ahead.

- Thank you! - You bet.

[Girls' Dorm]

Master Tang, where are you doing?

I'm going up to grab something and then go train.

When is it? Are you still training? Remember to balance work and rest.

An anxious hen doesn't lay eggs.

Don't worry. I'm a bull when training and a pig when sleeping.

I follow scientific protocol.

What about you?

I already registered.

I'm going to the library to do some research

To prepare for my training.

Admirable!

True dreams call for actions.

You got this, Meng Fei.

Thank you, Emperor.

But I'm a bit worried.

Worry about what? You can definitely do this.

No, I'm worried about Liao Zhenyu.

He boasted to me that

I passed. I didn't fail anthing.

I'm free to accompany you to the exam.

I won't allow it. You should spend more time on your own studying.

His reply was perfunctory.

I was about to get angry but he did it for my own good

and he looked pitiful so I wasn't willing to.

I really don't know what to do now.

I'm really worried that because of me

he delays what he really wants to do.

Don't worry, it's for his own good.

I have more than enough to take care of him.

Enlighten me!

Scare him.

Black Scorpions, XDragon's vigorous opponent.

Known for their fieice plays.

Li Yubing, your oponent is strong.

[At A Home Game Against the Red Beard,] [Li Yubing Caught in a Fight]

[At A Home Game Against the Red Beard,] [Li Yubing Caught in a Fight]

It turns out that he's the son of Black Scorpion's owner.

Interesting.

[Home for the Strays]

I made a mistake, OK?

Really. I made a mistake.

Don't be angry at me.

Elaborate.

I took it as a vacation when you were training.

I brought you snacks and you were made fun of.

Not that.

I'm not angry at you. I'm angry at myself.

You've been focusing on me.

You helped with whatever I wanted.

I've wanted to tell you something for a while.

It's my fault. I should have done it earlier.

I think I'm pulling you behind.

What do you mean?

Are you breaking up with me?

I don't want to. Tell me. I'll correct myself.

I'm not breaking up with you.

You do everything for me.

You spend all your time on me.

Home of the Strays or our home

has nothing to do with your dream.

What about your dream?

I'm already a medical student at LUU.

After I graduate and start interning, I'll become a doctor.

That's it?

You almost failed last semseter. Are you going to be the same this semester?

You spend all your time on me. When do you study?

Not to even mention your dream of becoming a doctor,

you'd barely graduate.

- It's not that serious. - Yes, it is.

I don't want our relationship to stand in the way of your future.

Master Tang and Li Yubing have a very good relationship.

They are after their goals respectively. They help and encourage each other.

We could do the same.

Frankly, I want a boyfriend who can reach our goals together.

Not a lackey.

Let's cool down for some time. Find me when you are ready.

Huanhuan, I...

Stop following me from now on.

I'll break up with you if you follow me.

Was I too mean to him? Am I making things worse?

Strong medicine for tough illness.

Do you feel you are responsible for his growth and maturity?

When he makes a mistake, do you feel worse than when you are the one making the mistake?

When he falls... no, he takes detours. It pains you more than when you fall.

Exactly!

I don't want to see him wasting his time. I'm afraid he'll regret it later.

Psychology states when a woman loves a man,

she wants to help this man grow and mature, changes how he thinks and acts.

You really

care about him. He must be able to feel it.

Next, you need to wait until he thinks things through.

I asked him to stay next to me all day.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have neglected the important matters. It's all because of me.

His girlfriend or not, I want him to improve.

Real improvement.

Miss Ye. You're knowledgable in psychology of love.

Does Philosophy department teach it? Confess.

Are you in love and drawing from actual experience?

Why are we talking about me?

I'm in love with books.

Liar. Confess!

I have a question.

Did you ever chat with a guy online?

What did you talk about?

I knew it!

Who is he? Confess!

Don't keep it from me.

- Where's Mr. Bian? - Over there.

Hello, Mr. Zhen is ready to see you.

Investing in Black Scorpions is our biggest move this year.

From their performance early this season,

we've made the right call.

Both their performance and our public image have improved a lot.

I found that since the start of the season, analysts and fans

have believed that Black Scorpions could win the final.

What do you think, Mr. Zhen?

Who do you think are your major opponents

on your winning path? For example, LUU XDragons?

I'm happy about the high expectations for us.

But after restructuring, Black Scorpion is still a newbie.

It's more important to take care of our obligations.

Others might be powerful. Black Scorpions can't be ignored.

What do you think of Li Yubing, the star of XDragons?

He did exceptionally well last season.

Under his leadership, they completely defeated the Red Beard,

which is a renowned strong team.

He's good.

Later, he came to fame in U20.

Commentators said that

he'll be the best ice hockey player domestically.

Facing such a powerful opponent,

does Black Scorpions have any special plans targeting him

when competing with XDragons?

Sorry, you are asking about our tactics.

I can't tell you that.

Sorry.

Thank you.

Thank you for your solid information.

You are very professional and insightful.

My pleasure. I've read a lot of your pieces

on the ice hockey industry. Very impressive.

Well received. You have great potential.

I'm a good judge of character. You'll have a bright future.

I'm flattered. I'm inspired by this interview.

I want to follow and report the development

of ice hockey in Lincheng.

I hope to interview you again.

At your convenience.

Thank you.

- Bye. - Bye.

All functions are normal.

Except for some superficial wounds due to collision.

Caught a cold?

- Someone is missing me. - Superstitous.

Not yet proven by science, not necessarily superstition.

It's not detected yet, like certain diseases.

Mind diseases especially.

Yu Yan, you are here.

Your physicals. Have a look.

Thanks.

The report shows you are tired. And...

Are you stressed? Be careful.

Both winning and losing are ordinary for a soldier. We didn't win last season.

Only after losing, you'd find the right direction.

Just a match, relax.

I'm leaving, doc.

Rest well.

Direction? What else besides figure skating?

Yu Yan? Yu yan?

Every indicator is normal.

I hear ringing in my ears.

Ringing? But your indicators are good.

Are you too stressed? How is your sleep?

If you don't feel well, you'd better rest.

Get back to training after you feel better.

If I tell the truth, I won't be able to participate in the match.

OK. I'll go to bed early and feel better.

This championship is important to me. I'll adjust myself.

Yu Yan?

Let's add one more thing?

These strawberries are so yummy!

Granny is the best! She sent us so much food.

Our entire dorm won't finish it.

I've divided them. These are for Li Yubing and Yu Yan.

This is for Liao Zhenyu. You'll give to him.

- I'm leaving. - Have some more.

- Hello. - Downstairs. Strawberries.

From my hometown, super yummy.

Thanks.

I'm too busy to visit you. Are you well?

I'm OK. I'm tired after training and go to bed early.

What about you? How are things between you and Li Yubing?

It's good. Although something...

Never mind. All will be taken care of.

OK.

We'll go to the aquarium together some time.

I'm leaving.

Huanhuan, I have something to say.

Me first, OK? Wait a sec.

Life is long.

Even lovers have different opinions and choices.

Someone told me, in a good relationship, every divergence only improves it.

In a bad relationship, it'll hurt it.

You know I like cilantro, Sichuan cuisine, and Northeast cuisine.

I have strong taste.

What are you talking about?

So I've decided to take actions

and become a doctor

and your perfect match.

If you are potatoes, I'm beef brisket.

If you are pickled peppers, I'm fish head.

If you are mushroom, I'm young chicken.

Why am I always the vegetable? Are you all talk?

I'm not kidding.

Look, I've made detailed plans.

Look.

I've planned every month, week, day, hour,

quater, minute, and second, carefully.

You are serious.

Of course.

I still hope to see you every second.

You are at it again.

Huanhuan.

I promise you.

I won't waste my time with trivial things as before.

I'll remember your words.

I'll learn from Master Tang and Li Yubing's relationship.

To improve ourselves in our relationship.

You got it. Really?

I'll check your actions.

I promise you I'll make it.

Pinky swear.

Pinky swear.

Tang Xue is good.

- I lost. Here. - I don't have to buy soy milk any more.

We are leaving.

Bye-bye.

We'll leave too. Bye.

Weiwei, you are still here.

New muscle tapes, yours.

Did you misread quantity again? A set or a dozen?

No. Better safe than sorry.

Tang Xue. Yours.

This is inappropriate.

Not enough?

One more. Enough?

You are too much.

Why?

Weiwei is my... buddy. She's different.

- I'm leaving. - Bye.

He's nice.

Maybe this is an athlete's romance.

What's wrong with you? Training not intense enough?

What do you think is an athlete's romance?

Gold medal.

Right.

But you have to hold the gold medal,

seriously tell him,

this is what I won for you.

Time for your medicine.

Seriously,

I think the most romantic thing is

you like the person who happens to like you too.

I'm leaving.

Thank you for the tapes!

[XDragons]

Li Yubing, I don't like the idea that

you two are dating. In the past and currently.

The danger of a match. You know it better than me.

She's a careless girl.

But I know her. She has the softest heart.

If you get hurt, badly.

It'll be a heavy blow to her.

Once you become a father,

you can truly understand my feelings now.

Hey!
