[Skate Into Love]

[Episode 17]

Tomorrow is the Glorious Youth Festival. Do you think Coach will give us the day off?

You wish. There's no way we're getting the day off.

At most, she might go easy on us, and maybe let us skip two laps.

What's more,

Glorious Youth Festival is also called Confession Festival. No one's confessing to you.

Why do you need to celebrate it?

- What do you mean? How do you know no one's confessing to me? - Captain! Captain!

- What are you doing for the Glorious Youth Festival tomorrow? - Yeah.

Are you waiting for a dream guy to confess to you?

What festival? Let's just focus on training.

Captain, you should be gentler.

- I think there are a lot of guys that want to confess to you. - Yes.

- But... - But what?

They're scared of you.

Scared of me? Am I that scary?

You're not scary, you're intimidating.

They want to confess, but they're scared to even talk to you.

You can try being a little more feminine.

- For example, wearing something cute. - Yes.

I'm not feminine?

"I'm not feminine?" You're not feminine at all.

Let's do this. I'll teach what to say so you'll instantly sound very feminine.

Really~? It's fine~.

Stop it~. Okay, you try now.

Really?

It's fine~.

It's fine.

Oh my god.

- Stop it~. - Stop it.

It's not "stop it," it's "stop it~."

Where's the "~"?

Oh my god. You have to drag it out at the end.

Dragging the ending out makes it sound cute.

Really~? It's fine~. Stop it~.

You're way too girly. I can't stand you guys,

acting like experts every day when no one's confessing to you either?

What do you mean?

Captain, I'll teach you some more.

- Really~? - In a girly way.

It's fine~. Stop it~.

Captain, don't leave. I'll teach you.

What's on your mind?

- Old Xu. - What's up?

How did you pursue Coach Chu back then?

Why? Is something going on?

Nothing's going on.

I'm just curious.

Is it because tomorrow's the Glorious Youth Festival?

No, it's not that. I'm not interested in that kind of thing.

What? Want me to show you a thing or two?

It's okay, no need.

But if you want to say it, that's fine, too. It doesn't hurt to be prepared.

Ten years ago, we didn't have this sports center.

In the southeast corner of LUU, there was an outdoor ice rink. Chu Xia and I always practiced there.

One night, I strung up a bunch of colored lights and confessed to her there.

She agreed just like that?

Back then, I was really attractive.

And I was so good at ice hockey. She had already liked me for a while.

Also, once the colored lights came on, what do you think happened?

Li Yubing? I'm not done talking yet.

Don't be scared. We'll change your dressing, okay?

Don't be scared. It doesn't hurt, does it?

Little kitty, I have a girlfriend. Do you?

Oh, that's right. You just got neutered.

Then you can only envy me, isn't that right?

We're almost losing this place, and you're not worried at all.

Isn't it just a question of money? Don't worry, I'll think of something.

Look! There's another single cat here.

Come on, go inside.

Single cat, are you jealous that your Sister Huan-huan has such a responsible boyfriend?

You're just an intern. If someone tall and strong comes along,

you could get replaced anytime.

Classmate. Classmate!

Hello.

This little guy is injured. Can you take a look at him?

Hello, I'm a doctor. If you need anything, you can tell me.

- What's wrong? - You're not a vet.

- What's wrong with him? - It's fine.

It's like this. I'll introduce you, this is my girlfriend.

And you can tell me anything, really, I'm a doctor.

What happened?

He was fighting with a big dog over there. I shooed the big dog away.

Look! He got bit here. Can you clean it for him?

- Of course, no problem. - It's fine, right?

- Bro, please hold on for a moment. - Come here, come here.

What are you doing, bro?

It's like this. You're Li Yubing's friend, right?

Something Xue... You're Tang Xue's friend, right?

- Exactly. - Good to see you, good to see you.

No, no, no. Bro, come here.

Look. You're Li Yubing's teammate. I'm Tang Xue's friend. We're friends of friends,

so we're friends. You can't go after your friend's girlfriend—

Hey.

- Sorry about that. How embarrassing. - It's fine, it's fine.

- All done. - All done?

- We're all done here. - He's okay, right?

- He's fine. It's not serious. - You need to be more careful, little guy.

Hey, classmate,

I'm not always around here. My WeChat is over there, you can scan it.

If you ever have injured animals, you can contact me anytime.

That's great. Thank you.

- I'll scan it. - Wait a second! Wait, wait...

Here, you can add my WeChat. If you need anything, I'll contact her. How's that?

Bro,

are you very insecure?

It's not that. It's almost the Glorious Youth Festival. It's best to be careful. I won't see you out.

Huan-huan!

Glorious Youth Festival?

Tomorrow is our school's Glorious Youth Festival.

All girls are looking forward to confessions from guys.

And the more shocking, the better.

This is an excellent opportunity for you.

You know it's not the right time yet.

I would just be embarrassing myself.

You're majoring in news and journalism.

You should know about the power of public opinion.

How much?

That person has paid for you already.

No need to thank me.

I did it because I wanted to.

Long time no see, Junior.

It's you, Senior Deng.

Junior, tomorrow's the Glorious Youth Festival. Do you have—

Ah, right. Do you know if tomorrow

Senior Yubing is free?

Yubing told me he's training, so he'll be busy.

He's so hardworking. I need to learn from him.

Tomorrow, I'll focus on writing articles.

Thank you, Senior.

Buy yourself some corn with the change. Bye-bye.

She has character, I like it. I definitely won't give up.

Surprise.

Let's go. Get changed.

What's wrong? Are you coming or not?

Let's go.

[Huan-huan's WeChat QR code]

Next time put mine up.

Why are you acting so crazy? That was our senior, and he was helping us.

What's wrong with adding him on WeChat?

What's wrong with it? I told you before!

I'll be responsible for everything related to our Home for Homeless Babies.

You need to watch your boundaries when you interact with guys.

What are you saying? What do you mean I don't watch my boundaries?

I've realized that

- you have no idea how attractive you are. - What?

What do you mean "what"? Even if you don't mean anything,

your seaweed-like hair,

your mesmerizing smile, your big shining eyes,

you could take down an army. Are you that unaware?

What are you saying?

You're too lacking in self-awareness.

You have no idea how beautiful you are. It drives me crazy.

Are you complimenting me or blaming me?

I'm blaming you. Blaming you for being too beautiful!

It's like you've never seen the world before.

I'll tell you one last time.

I will take care of all matters related to the Home for Homeless Babies.

You just focus on taking care of all the little animals... and me.

Understand?

- Hurry up and change! Let's head back. - Okay.

Tomorrow's the Glorious Youth Festival.

It's a good opportunity, Jiang Shijia. You have to cherish this opportunity.

You need to tell Zhang Yuewei the truth.

What am I going to tell her? The one she likes is Li Yubing.

Even if say it, there's no point.

You need to believe in yourself. You need to tell her. You have to tell her.

I can't say it—

Is there something I can't see?

Hey.

- Who were you talking to? - I wasn't.

[Foreign Teachers' Apartment]

Even if you want to stay,

does that person want you to stay?

It's just a time difference.

We'll go by your time zone. Video call me anytime. Even if you want me to sing in the middle of the night, I'll do it.

Look! That's my present for you. Do you like it?

There's something that I've wanted to tell you for a long time.

Is it too late if I say it now?

Why aren't you saying anything?

[Agricultural College]

Hey, this is Hawkeye's class.

All I do every day is to go to class and train overtime.

24 hours in a day aren't enough for me.

Just sit up first.

Open your eyes. Hold on a second.

Today's the Glorious Youth Festival.

Looks like you won't be able to participate in any of the activities.

Tonight, when you're training, if you get hungry, eat this as a snack.

Thanks, Huan-huan.

Students, it's almost time for the final exam.

This is your first final exam since starting school.

It's also a way to evaluate everyone's progress this semester.

I hope no one fails this class.

Let me remind you...

All the rumors you guys have heard about me on campus are real.

If anyone's fearless,

go ahead and fail a class.

Leave me alone.

Professor, the problem you explained just now was too complicated, I couldn't make sense of it so I was thinking–

- You were thinking about which problem? - That...

I can't believe you dare to sleep in class so openly.

Should I bring you a pillow?

No-No need.

Seems like you don't want to graduate.

Not just sleeping in class,

you're eating, too? Do you think this is your sofa at home?

It's not that, Professor. This is my present to her for the Glorious Youth Festival.

Is this the place and time for exchanging gifts?

Let me see if anyone else dares to exchange gifts during my class—

[Cheng Xin (Genuine Heart) Towards Xue] (T/N: using the cheng from his name)

[Deserving a Glorious Youth]

Everyone sit back down. Sit down!

Did I say you could sit?

Sit down.

Impressive, Tang Xue.

It looks like I underestimated you.

I also wish you a happy festival.

And I hope you can pass the upcoming final exam.

Thank you, Professor.

No need. Everyone in the class will pass with 60 points.

You'll fail if you don't get at least 80 points.

Professor.

Class dismissed.

Do you like it?

What are you doing, Bro?

What's wrong? You're upset?

I'm in class. What do you think?

I heard the theme of LUU's Glorious Youth Festival is "surprise."

I thought you'd be happy.

The professor was disciplining me already, and you made it worse. And now, out of the entire class, I need to get 80 points to pass.

Do you think I'm happy?

Then I'll go explain to him.

Just stop causing trouble for me.

I'm not a genius like you, who can get 100 with their eyes closed.

Just stop doing this kind of thing in the future...

and I'll be grateful.

Tang Xue.

I... I'm sorry.

[Genuine Heart Towards Xue, Deserving a Glorious Youth]

[Time has a voice, too. Let's listen for it] [Hope these years won't let down your effort. Youth won't let us down]

Hey, Wei-wei.

How come you're dressed like this? You look really pretty.

It's... fine...

I can't be cute for once?

You look cute.

Where's Li Yubing?

Bing-bing? He said he had something to do today so he won't go eat with us.

That guy is so unreliable.

Last year, he promised to spend the Glorious Youth Festival with me this year.

He said that?

You were there too. Just– Forget it.

It's nothing.

No big deal. The two of us can go eat. Come on.

Let's forget it.

Three people are okay, but two... is a little weird.

I have something to do later anyway.

- I'll get going. - Okay.

Wait, Wei-wei.

Happy Glorious Youth Festival.

You, too.

Dear friends, lovers, family members! [Create a loving home for homeless animals]

Everyone, come look at our cute animals from the Home for Homeless Babies.

In this cold winter,

our Home for Homeless Babies is about to run out of food.

There are tens of little animals, little cuties

who are waiting for you to feed them.

Your small act of kindness is a great help to us.

I hope everyone can generously help us. Thank you.

Thank you, thank you. Thank you.

Or you can donate your old clothes

to give them a warm home.

Thank you so much! Thank you. Thank you.

Or a leftover bag of snacks,

a can of drinks, these can become a meal for them.

Hello, come, come. Look at this.

Come out. Come out, come out.

Dou-dou.

Xia Menghuan.

Xia Menghuan, what are you still doing here? Hurry up and go to the plaza.

- What? - Your Xiao Liao is in the plaza.

He's amazing. Plaza.

What's he doing?

Everyone, please look at this. This cutie on the wall here,

is called Duo-duo. But...

we don't know who did it, he went blind in one eye.

When he first came to our Home for Homeless Babies, he was very timid.

he always hid in a corner by himself.

Due to our founder's Xia Menghuan persistent hard work,

we treated him and bathed him.

One day, he finally learned to trust humans again.

Look! He's like this now. Isn't he cute?

A similar case is Diu-diu.

But Diu-diu, after our care and hard work, looks like this now.

Cute, right?

All the animals on the bulletin board here,

some were abandoned,

some were abused.

Some have been homeless since they were born.

We founded the Home for Homeless Babies

to give these animals

another chance to trust humans and feel the warmth of humans,

the compassion of this world.

So here,

I'm asking everyone to show a little bit of compassion.

To them, that little bit means the world.

Thank you, everyone.

Huan-huan, why are you here?

Are you dumb? Why didn't you tell me to come?

I wanted it to be a surprise since it's the Glorious Youth Festival.

This is my present to you.

What present? You are the best present.

It's so cold out, you should go home. You go home first.

As the head of our household, it's my duty and responsibility to do this kind of thing.

I'll do it with you.

Everyone, come look. Friends, hello!

- Come learn about our Home for Homeless Babies. - Thank you.

Everyone, come and help our

dogs and cats. They could really use your help.

Isn't today the Glorious Youth Festival? Everyone's celebrating.

How come you're here training by yourself?

I'm slower than the others, so I need to work harder. (T/N: Idiom - clumsy bird flies early)

Even the tortoise can beat the hare if it works hard.

You want to beat Zhang Yuewei?

Not bad. All good athletes want to win.

Good luck. Hang in there.

After seeing your recent efforts, I want to sign you up for the Tengxiang Cup.

Can I enter a competition?

This is a new brand-sponsored competition. It doesn't have much recognition, but it's well-funded.

Last year, there were a few newbies who became well-known through this competition.

What do you think? Do you want to try it out?

Yes. I won't let you down.

Good. Then you need to prepare yourself to work even harder.

Understood.

By the way, higher-ups will be coming to evaluate tomorrow.

The ice rink, changing room, and rest area,

when you leave later, make sure you check these areas and make sure they're clean.

No problem.

[Home for Homeless Babies] Heavens increase years for cat's lives.

A Universe Full of Food.

Humans and Cats Prosper Together.

Humans and cats prosper together.

Great.

What's wrong, Huan-huan?

What's wrong?

- Don't cry, don't cry. - I just think your writing looks really nice.

There, there! It's okay.

Why are you crying? We're past the hard part, everything's going well now.

I think you've done too much for me.

It's okay. I'm happy to do it.

I finally get to rest for a bit.

Who is it?

It's me. I'm surprising you for the Glorious Youth Festival.

Do you like it?

Little Sheep, say, why are you also joining in the mess?

Tomorrow, the higher-ups are coming to evaluate. The coach specifically asked me

to make sure everything was clean.

I... just finished.

- I'll help you clean up. - Forget it. Forget it.

I'll just think of it as physical conditioning.

Oh, here. This is my festival present to you.

For me?

Is this an antique?

My grandpa gave this to me.

At the time, I was only 4 years old.

Then, how come you're giving it to me?

When I was little, I wanted to travel the world.

But ever since I was 4, I started figure skating.

I put all of my time into skating.

I didn't have any time to stop and enjoy the world.

But after meeting you, I had friends for the first time.

I realized that other than figure skating,

there's a lot of other fun things and people in life.

So I'm giving this to you.

Thank you for opening new doors for me.

You, me, Little Yuzi,

Huan-huan. We're a crew.

I just did what I should.

Tang Xue...

I know...

you think of me as your little brother.

But I want to tell you, I—

Hello?

Mom, I–

I'm at the sports center.

I'm not practicing.

Right now?

But...

Okay, got it.

If your mom's looking for you, you should hurry back.

But I...

I haven't cleaned up yet.

It'll only take a minute.

Go, go. Hurry up.

Thank you for the present! Bye-bye.

How is this Glorious Youth Festival?

More like Labor Day (Festival).

Yan-yan, you're back? Hurry, come here.

Look! I ordered a new skating costume for you.

Try it on.

The thing you said was urgent was this?

Of course. You're going to Canada soon.

I specifically designed some new skating costumes for you.

Let me remind you. A competition is like a battle.

You need to arm yourself before you go, right?

Your costume has to be attention-catching and well-designed.

So that your performance can be more dazzling.

Go try it on.

What's wrong? You don't like it?

It's not that.

Go try it on.

Glorious Youth Festival, please end soon.

Tang Xue.

Come with me. I have a surprise for you.

Don't.

If anyone gives me another surprise today, I'll end both of us.

Wait, don't go.

Why are you running?

If you don't let go, I'll yell sexual harassment!

Sexual harassment!

Is she crazy?

Today's the Glorious Youth Festival.

Have your Wechat Moments started to fill with posts?

They started a while ago.

Some people are happy, some are sad.

Some people are still trying to sell things.

Then, has anyone confessed to you today?

No.

You're not sad about it?

What's there to be sad about?

I read in a book,

trace back to the origin.

We will know that all the sadness in our heart

comes from comparing ourselves

to those around us.

That's why I already shielded myself from my Wechat Moments.

To me, today is just another ordinary day.

I should be more like you.

Read more books and be less distracted by random thoughts.

Francis Bacon once said,

"Histories make men wise;

poets witty;

the mathematics, subtle;

natural philosophy, deep;

moral, grave;

logic and rhetoric, able to contend."

Studies pass into and influence manners.

You're right. We need to be

neither pleased by external gains, nor saddened by personal losses.

Let those who are a disturbance and those who are demoralizing

fade away from our world.

- Hug! - Date! Date!

Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!

Young lady!

Happy Glorious Youth Festival!

Thank you.

Wait, wait!

You are my last flower recipient today.

So, please allow me to

confess to you.

Sure, go ahead.

You are the prettiest

and most special girl I've ever met.

Your every movement and every smile

influences my heart.

So I will save the most important place in my heart for you.

As soon as you knock,

I will fling open the doors and hug you tight.

I want to tell you, I like you!

is really creative.

Fill your stomach.

- Okay. - Bye-bye, have a good festival.

♫ Those who are not resigned to defeat will occasionally feel exhausted and weak ♫

I will tell you again, face-to-face.

As Jiang Shijia,

I'll hug you tight.
