As punishment, everyone run 50 laps.

Timing and Subtitles brought to you by the Skating Love 💖 Team@ viki.com

Get up, look alive.

Do you know why I punished you guys?

From the day you guys joined the youth national team,

you are no longer from your university or from your club.

The only one you are representing is China!

Understood?

Understood!

The ice rink is like a battlefield.

We need soldiers and we need a general.

In hockey, who is the general?

Center.

Very good.

Next, we'll start group training.

Based on your performance in the next training session,

I'll determine who will be the youth national team captain.

U20

Today, the winning side is Li Yubing's team.

This year, the captain of the China national youth team is Song Anjie.

The first training session for today ends here.

Dismissed.

Coach Wang.

I want to ask, is there something that I'm lacking in?

Look at the results. Go home and think carefully about what happened.

[Tech Stat]

[Coach Xu]

Hello, Coach Xu?

Yubing, how's it going? Are you getting used to it?

I...

Jin, let's go.

Let's go quickly and come back quickly, I still need to make training plans for the team later.

Xia, don't be in such a rush. We rarely get the chance to eat together.

Here.

What? Your button's lopsided?

It-

Xu,

I'm eating dinner with Xia tonight.

Should we bring some dog food (TN: leftovers) back for you? (TN: giving dog food also refers to showing off PDA.)

No need, you guys go ahead.

What's wrong with him? He doesn't seem like himself.

Maybe he's worried about Li Yubing.

This...let's just go eat.

For today, why don't we just...

Coach Jin, you're still here.

I want to discuss Yu Yan with you.

But I have an appointment today.

But this is a very urgent matter.

How urgent?

It's okay, Yu Yan is more important. Why don't we go eat another time?

I knew Coach Zhu would understand.

Xia, listen to me. Xia.

Coach Jin,

Are you trying to make me single forever?

Recently, haven't you discovered Yu Yan is not the same?

He seems the same, Yu Yan is always well-behaved.

Coach Jin, you are really unobservant.

Your emotional reflexes are so slow,

you could circle the earth three times before you realize what's going on.

Haven't you noticed that recently, Yu Yan is always with Tang Xue from the short track speed skating team?

I'm not being a gossip, I'm just concerned that Yu Yan won't be able

to focus on training because of Tang Xue, and that it will hurt his performance.

I really haven't noticed him hanging out with Tang Xue, but in terms of practice,

Yu Yan has always trained very diligently, and nothing has changed recently.

That's good then.

I'm not trying to cause problems, but for a star athlete like Yu Yan, we need to be more careful.

Especially so the club can do better in the future.

That's it?

It was just this little matter?

Our Coach Jin has worked today.

You ruined my life.

Have fun at dinner.

Something on your mind?

How come you're here? Sit, sit.

Yubing didn't get chosen as the youth national team champion this time.

If he didn't get chosen, it's not a big deal.

Captains and teammates are the same, they just need to focus on playing well.

I don't care about whether he got chosen, I care about why he didn't get chosen.

His feedback was that he only knows how to be an excellent individual player,

he doesn't know how to control the flow of everyone else.

They said he's not a good center. This is clearly my fault for being a bad coach.

Sturdy grass withstands high wind.

Li Yubing has to go through this sooner or later.

You went through it too, he definitely can too.

That's true.

Right, weren't you going to eat with Coach Jin?

Yeah, but I came to see you instead.

I have stewed pork ribs at home, how about...

Pork ribs again?

Although I haven't had it in so long, I actually want to eat it again.

Let's go.

Tang Xue.

Yu Yan.

You practice extra every day? How can you train this much?

It's all thanks to you for teaching me how to relax.

Now that I can relax my body, my performance is a lot better.

I'm glad I could help.

Tomorrow's the weekend, do you have any plans?

Practice. What about you?

I want to see a movie.

With who?

Myself.

Yourself?

I haven't seen a movie in years.

I just want to go and see a movie.

Do you have time to come with me tomorrow?

Sure. Then I'll watch the movie with you in the morning and train in the afternoon.

Let's go.

-Hi, Coach Jin. -Have you seen Coach Zhu?

I saw her talking with Coach Xu on the track field. They were talking pretty animatedly.

I think something's going on with them. They might get back together.

What are you saying?

Just after talking for a little bit, they'll get back together?

You're too young.

Let me tell you, just focus on training.

Don't observe your coaches all the time.

Okay, then I'll head out. Bye, Coach Jin.

Okay.

Ha, no way.

How's this one? Player Two, just from the title it sounds pretty good.

I think it sounds kind of boring.

What about this one? This Murderer Is Not Calm.

That sounds so scary. Let's choose a different one. What about this one in the middle?

21 Carats?

-Sure, let's see this one.

Let's go.

You said he's a child that gets excited easily.

Get excited.

But I think...

Start. I'm nervous

Yeah!

Do you want to play?

I've never played it before. I just think it looks cute like you.

When you play this kind of thing, there's always a strategy.

I'll show you.

Try again. Machine three continues. Master Tang Master Tang starts.

I'm nervous.

♫ This moment has a scent like honey, it is the signal you are giving me ♫

♫ Your embrace is like an island engulfed by a warm breeze ♫

♫ The first time I was certain of your feelings, ♫

This is a rip-off. Trust me, they definitely rigged this.

I want to try.

If I can't even do it, you shouldn't bother wasting your money.

I just want to try it.

I'll let you try it, go ahead.

♫ it’s a promise you’re giving me ♫

♫ The courage to hold you tight and never be apart again ♫

♫ Loving with no reason when I met you ♫

You guys were way too slow.

And the defensemen are completely disconnected.

Defensemen, you guys can't keep up.

There's no urgency.

The game is coming up soon, we have no chance of winning like this.

Bing-bing, score a lot of points. Make your teammates look good.

Take care of yourself.

Just get the puck and score more points, that's all you need to do.

I told you, don't get so many. This is so wasteful.

Do you know how cheap these things are at the market?

This kid doesn't even know how to use a smartphone.

How come he's so good at playing the claw machines?

-Hello? -Hello?

Yu Yan, hold this for a second.

Hello?

What's wrong?

I heard the dial tone, it was probably the wrong number.

Which ones of these do you want? Pick some.

I just want this one.

This one?

Okay, give me the rest then.

I'll head up now.

What's this?

Yu Yan got them from the claw machine.

Don't drop them.

Where are these from?

Let me tell you, geniuses are geniuses in everything.

Can you believe this is his first time playing a claw machine?

Actually?

Yu Yan?

Yu Yan? Yu Yan, that's good! I support this.

Support what?

I support you guys dating.

Don't be ridiculous. He's just a kid.

Then you are volunteering to care for children left behind.

It's just because since Yu Yan was little,

he always trained and never got to have a childhood like we did.

As an older sister, I'm just helping him to

make up his missed childhood.

Petals shed for the brook.

However, the brook

- doesn't care. - Less reading in the bathroom.

Which one do you want? Pick any of them.

Mine.

I only like this one.

Mine!

I only like this one.

Why do you want mine? This cat is mine.

Yu Yan.

Coach Jin.

Do you have some time to talk?

Oh, sure.

Are you dating Tang Xue?

I-I...not yet.

Not yet?

You know how high hopes your mom has for you.

She wants you to focus on training and become the world champion.

She doesn't want to see you distracted by other things and forget about figure skating.

I haven't. I'm still training diligently.

I won't disappoint you guys.

Remember what you're saying now, that you won't disappoint us.

-Huan-huan, you're here? -Wow.

Wow, you're already at this point?

How is it? Is it okay?

This is so impressive. How did you find this place?

I heard the dean of our department is always feeding stray cats around here.

So I sought him out and told him about our plan.

I also asked the school to give us this area.

You're incredible.

It's not much. Come in and see if there's anything we can improve.

Leader, everything is prepared for you inside. After you.

What's wrong with your hand?

It's just a scrape, nothing major.

What?

Why are you looking at me like that?

How tall are you?

178cm.

Today you're 190cm.

I'm going to paint the inside walls again. Then I'll add the furniture and it'll be like new.

I'll help you.

After we finish painting, let's go have some coffee. My treat.

Thank you.

Here you go. Careful, it's hot.

We finally finished painting.

Now, we just need to wait for the Stray Cat Shelter to officially open.

Thank you for making this happen.

Your cat is so cute.

This?

Master Tang gave it to me.

Did I hear it wrong? Master Tang doesn't like that kind of thing.

Yu Yan got her a ton of plushies from the claw machine. She gave all of them to me and Ye Liuying.

What a waste of his energy. She gave them all away.

I think Master Tang is a better fit with Li Yubing.

Li Yubing?

He's such an overbearing guy. Yu Yan is so much better, he's sweet and gentle.

Yes, he is gentle. He's so gentle that he can barely stand on his own.

Guys just don't get it.

Guys like Yu Yan, that can bring out a girl's more feminine side, are perfect

for tougher girls like Master Tang.

That's what girls think.

Master Tang's personality has to be met head-on.

Yu Yan can't do it. It has to be Li Yubing.

Why can't Yu Yan do it? He's clearly the better choice.

Li Yubing, meeting her head-on? Please.

How about this? Let's make a bet.

We'll bet on whether Master Tang will like Yu Yan or Li Yubing.

What'll we bet on?

Tang Xue liking Li Yubing/Yu Yan

Whoever wins, can write down any condition here. Are you game?

Who's scared of who? I'm telling you, you're definitely going to lose.

I'm definitely going to lose?

Just get your cash ready.

Liao Zhenyu

Our master Tang hasn't eaten dinner.

Please take care of her.

Ice God, friendly warning, Captain Tang mentioned about you these days.

Guess she missed you, give her a call.

Missed me!

Tang Xue.

Have you not eaten dinner, how about we have a meal together.

I have a race later on.

It's not enough time.

-I bring some back. -Don't be that trouble.

Let's find a restaurant with a tv.

-Okay -I pack my bag.

Boss, want to order.

Coming away, wait a second.

Boss, could you change to sports channel?

Girl also watches sports program.

That drama is good, very touching.

You loved me.

Never.

Ash of love fan.

-I watched twice. -I watched fifth.

I even memorize all the scripts, every time I watch, every time I cry.

So heartbreaking.

Since we both are fans,

- can I ask you something? - Go ahead, my fellow fan.

I need to follow an important game. Can you switch to

the sports channel?

- OK. - No!

- She is a fan. - No way.

We are all fans. Do her a favor.

- Give it to me. - Nope.

- Give it. - No.

- Give it to me. - If you don't let me watch the show, I'll quit.

I'll cook.

Here you go.

Which race is so important?

U20 invitational tournament. Li Yubing is in it.

Remeber to watch my game.

Ready for it.

Good luck!

Good luck!

This is Sino-South Korean youth icy hockey invitational tournament

U20

Chinese National Youth Team versus Korean National Youth Team

- Will Li Yubing play it? - Yeah.

Where is he?

That one.

You can tell from this long shot? Everyone looks the same.

In my eyes, he has a dog head.

Team China is attacking form the left. Team Korea from the right.

Now a special introduction of No. 19, Li Yubing.

It's his first time on the national youth team.

From his performance in the college ice hockey league,

he's skilled with distinctive features. He has a swift movement on ice.

Li Yubing, give your best! Everyone is watching.

Ready for puck drop is the Captain of team China, Song Anjie.

Li Yubing, go get them.

Only two minutes left. The score is 2 to 3.

Team China is one point behind.

Go for it, our young players!

As long as you can make it to overtime, there's a chance to win.

You can do it, Li Yubing.

Pass! Left!

Song Anjie, shoulder-checking, forces a way out.

Director Wang trains him well. He didn't let us down.

There's a gap! Chance! Pass the puck!

- Pass it! - Pass the puck!

Pass!

Pass!

Time is up. Game over.

China lost the game by one point.

We hope the team regains their confidence soon.

And improve cooperation. Guard again arrogance and rashness.

Right. We hope in the near future the young players will make us proud.

You really consider yourself Ice God?

He wasted a perfect opportunity.

Hey!

Losing a game is not your problem. It's our problem.

But you don't trust your teammates. It's your problem.

Ice God.

You yourself don't even know how much you care about him.

[Zhang Yuewei]

Hello.

It's normal to lose a game. Don't take it too badly.

I know. I'm OK.

Really?

Don't worry. You know me.

I'm hard to defeat.

I'm going to bed. Good night.

Good night.

I watched the game. Overall you played well.

I need to knock on your dog head. Why didn't you pass?

You wasted several good chances.

It's OK you lost.

Failure proceeds win. There's always the next game.

I think you don't trust your teammates. You should have passed the puck.

Trust...

Li Yubing, did you take pity on team Korea?

You have to change next time. Your last attack.

Why didn't you pass the puck? Where's the mutual understanding?

I'm reflecting.

But I'm waiting for a call.

I'll talk to you later.

Bye.

[Xiao Xue]

Who placed the phone here? Who's calling at this time?

Xiao Xue?

Hello? My daughter, did something happen?

You were expecting me to get into trouble?

No, it's not like... it's quite late and you called so I thought... Hey!

Xiao Xue, did you spend all of your money?

Don't worry, I didn't.

Then, did you miss us?

You should trust me when I say it.

Okay, back to business.

Are my elementary school photo album still there?

Photo album? Yes, it's still there. It's in a box under your bed.

What's wrong?

Then, please help me.

Can you send it to school?

Losing a game is not your problem. It's our problem.

But you didn't trust your teammates.

That's your problem, Ice God.

How's Li Yubing doing lately?

He's still sulking because of the loss.

His...

He asks too much from himself.

That... Bing Bing

doesn't have friends whenever he's in a new environment so he will feel helpless.

Don't worry too much. He is strong enough.

He'll be back on track once he gets used to it.

Do you think we should...

do something for him?

Do what? What can we do?

All we can do is to secretly watch him from behind.

Secretly watching over him?

Okay.

Today, we'll do one on one. Everyone, split into two teams.

Captain.

Team up.

This is the record of the last training.

You can see...

Let's go.

Have a bite.

Then, go back to your home.

Shortie doesn't know when it's time to stop eating.

What are you doing?

Classmate, come here! Classmate, come here!

Come here quickly.

This is a wonderful moment. Now let's welcome our founder,

Xia Menghuan, to unveil Home for Strays.

Ready!

Three, two, one! Unveiling!

[Home for Strays]

I'm here to announce that Home for Strays officially opens.

Let's welcome our founder to say a few words.

I have something to say.

Thank you for actively volunteering.

Today we open, with special thanks to one person.

Liao Zhenyun from the Medical School.

He handmade these...

shabby shelters.

Also, we're giving big thanks to our Tang Xue.

From today,

we become angels for these stray animals.

From now, I'm also

the Master Tang of these stray babies.

Didi, play on your own.

So pretty.

Mater Tang, petting a dog?

What is it?

Shouldn't you focus on your specialty courses?

You've already delayed many courses.

Especially the ones from Eagle Eye.

What if you don't pass, your graduation will be a problem.

But, Huan.

Right now, there is only one thing important to me.

To officially join the speed skating team.

So, the rest of the homework...

lectures, attendance. I'll leave them to you, OK?

Right? Let's tell Huan Huan, "right". Let's cheer her up.

Let me breathe.

Press here.

I've made a horrible friend.

Oh right, you have a delivery. I helped you put it on the table.

Why didn't you say it earlier?

Hey!!

Tang Xue!

Where did she go?

I told her she had a delivery.

I thought she needs to use the bathroom.

Finally, I received it.

Director Wang, are you looking for me?

Yes.

What happened between you and other team members?

Perhaps because I didn't pass the critical pluck. They aren't happy with me.

Then, how do you see it?

They don't understand me.

My strength is to attack and I'm a good shot.

I didn't perform well last game.

But for the next competition, I'll show it to everyone.

You didn't perform well?

Li Yubing, you still don't understand.

You are not playing table tennis. Do you think you can do it alone?

I don't understand.

Should I pass the pluck to someone who can't score as well as me?

Your skills are better than other people.

Do you think other people gets jealous?

If you don't understand working together,

that means you're not fully mature.

You don't have the standard for the national team.

A person changes not because of other people.

You are in charge of your own changes.

Go back and think about it.
