16 racers have all put up $250 for a shootout,

with one winner taking home a grand prize

of $4,000.

The racers have already drawn for round 1

and the first two cars are pulling to the line

for the first race.

Robby in the blue fox body

is up against lars in the nissan truck.

on an empty street in a bustling city.

to go down this empty city street.

...Round 1 of the 16-car tournament continues.

Felix is driving the corvette.

We saw him a few weeks ago

during the small-tire tournament in oklahoma.

he made it all the way to the final race,

but lost to a mustang.

tonight, he's up against zac in another mustang.

Narrator: Up next are grover in the red monte carlo

called "money magnet" and taylor in the silver camaro.

Narrator: The racers seem to be making some strong passes

on this sturdy texas road.

But for now, let's check back in

with the racers in pennsylvania.

A large crowd has gathered to watch the nine-car shootout.

Round 1 continues with leo in his ford pickup

he calls "danger ranger"

against xavier in the malibu.

Man: Whoever that car is parked right there...

[ cheers ]

narrator: Both drivers got squirrely

after not getting traction on the road,

but leo was able to correct and pull out the win.

next up for the third race of the round,

luca in the marquis is set to take on luis driving a fox body.

luis takes the win and will be moving to round 2.

But for now, we'll head west.

Over in arizona, another group of racers

is coming together tonight.

They're planning on doing an 11-car shootout.

Oh, what the [bleep], they're moving?

the buy-in is $100 a car,

making the final pot $1,100.

-[ bleep ] -okay, we got the red 6th gen?

And the next two racers are lining up.

rain will make the surface too slick to race on,

so the group is running out of time

if they want to continue their shootout.

...Where he made it all the way to the final race,

but ended up losing to anthony smith

of the memphis street outlaws.

Narrator: Jess in the camaro is getting a bye run

because his opponent has dropped out,

so he's getting a free ride to round 2.

narrator: While they prepare for round 2 here in texas...

...Racers in pennsylvania

are continuing with round 1 of their nine-car shootout.

are ready to race for a spot in round 2.

he's taking the left lane for his bye run

to go straight to round 2.

the cops are still circling the area,

so the racers have decided to lay low

before starting round 2.

For now, we'll head back west, back to texas...

...Where the second to last race in round 1

of the 16-car tournament is about to start.

Narrator: The final race of round 1

comes down to albert in the fox body mustang

running against jordan in the red camaro ss.

albert was able to pull his mustang around the camaro

and he takes the final spot in the next round.

narrator: Tonight in arizona,

11 street racers have been competing

in a shootout worth $1,100.

the races were interrupted

when it started raining on the street,

which threatened to end their shootout.

It's still drizzling,

but they're attempting to move on

with a third race of round 1.

man: Holy [bleep]!

[bleep] I got $100! [bleep]

-that guy's a loser! -Yeah.

You making sure - that hood ain't coming off.

he dented [bleep] piece back there.

Narrator: As they move the camaro off the line,

we'll leave arizona and head back to pennsylvania,

where the helicopter turns out to have been a false alarm

and the police never arrived.

The racing continues with round 2

of the nine-car shootout for $1,800.

The first pair down are leo in danger ranger...

...Against davis in an f-body camaro.

in round 1, leo reeled in xavier to get the win...

...And davis drew the bypass.

man: Alright, here we go.

The bird's going up.

Narrator: Next up is justin in an s-10 pickup

and luis in a fox body mustang.

narrator: In round 1, justin got a jump on his opponent

and he couldn't be caught.

And luis had a slow start,

but he reeled in luca for a narrow win.

has decided not to make a pass for his bye run.

As they prepare for the third round in pennsylvania,

For now, though, we'll leave texas.

Back in arizona, it's still raining off and on

as the fourth pair of racers make their way to the line.

is a well-known racer in the area.

He's racing against gregory in a nissan gtr

who's in the left lane,

which has been the winning lane tonight.

Jamie takes the win, the first in the right lane,

but unfortunately, the rain is back,

bringing the night to an abrupt end.

and try this shootout another time.

Battling for a spot in the semifinals are albert

in the mustang and grover in the monte carlo.

but grover was able to eke out the win

with his monte carlo, and he's moving on to the next round.

are making their way to the line.

Competing for the last spot in the semifinals

Narrator: While the racers in texas

prepare for the semifinals, over in pennsylvania

the semifinal race for the nine-car shootout

are competing for a spot in the final race

And jess made an impressive pass when robby jumped the light.
