(My Dangerous Wife)

Even if I'm born again, I'm going to marry you.

I'm so happy.

I wonder what it means to live as a married couple?

Get some rest.

(Episode 4: Sleeping With The Enemy)

(Four hours earlier)

Does this even work?

Who would put a bug here?

Let's leave it as bait.

Who would do something like this?

- Could it be...? - Is it...?

I bet a dime that we're thinking the same thing.

No.

It's ridiculous.

Who did you think of?

I didn't.

Should I tell you who I thought of?

You should go now. Leave.

Shim Jae-kyung.

Was it you?

I couldn't bear to see...

my wife's face when she looked back.

I couldn't even imagine...

what kind of expression she would be making.

I'm so happy.

It felt like I opened up someone in an operating room...

but I closed up without doing anything.

I told you to get some rest.

The food's ready so I came to get you.

I'm scared to be alone.

It's okay.

The wall plate wasn't straight,

so I was adjusting it.

But something seemed weird.

So I removed it from the wall and...

This was in there.

What is this?

Who would put something like this in there?

Honey.

I'm scared.

The culprit hasn't been caught yet.

Do you think it's safe for us to continue to live here?

I'm scared.

Don't worry.

I'm here. I'll give this to the police.

Thank you.

I'll leave it up to you.

I can't wait to taste your cooking!

It's almost done.

Have a seat and wait.

Okay.

This is amazing!

It looks delicious!

You even prepared La Amour Eternal.

You're the best, honey.

Here.

I wonder what would've happened if you drank the poisoned wine?

At least,

I would've felt sorry.

And I would've remembered you forever.

It's delicious.

People thought you put poison in the wine. That's ridiculous.

The police believed that too.

All because of a ridiculous tip.

We lost our wine for no good reason.

I know, right?

Do you believe me?

Of course, I do.

Why?

Because I want to believe you.

So you don't know if I'm trustworthy or not.

I trust you.

Even if you what you're giving me is poison,

I'll drink it.

Suspicion is spreading throughout my body like poison.

I feel like I'm born again.

Thank you so much...

for rescuing me.

Don't mention it.

Here.

Let's start off fresh as a married couple too.

Yes, to a new beginning.

Someone once said that...

married couples hang their wedding photos over their beds,

because they want the frames to fall on top of the spouse's head.

The groom, Mr. Kim Yoon-chul and the bride, Ms. Shim Jae-kyung,

have made a promise to spend the rest of their lives together

as a married couple through thick and thin.

This doesn't look too horrifying, does it?

Of course, it doesn't.

It must've hurt a lot, didn't it?

Even if I had to lose all 10 fingernails,

I would've been fine with it.

As long as I was able to return to you.

I wonder if she's still the same person I knew.

Will it be okay for me to get to know her more?

Eat before it gets cold.

Okay.

Trust is a matter of choice too.

I decided to trust my wife.

Don't do anything and get some rest for a while.

I got all the rest I needed.

I should do my job too.

If you have anything that needs to be done, tell me.

I was so worried that something bad would happen to you.

Thank you.

I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said what I said.

I was worried that something might happen to you.

So I didn't think of anything else.

Thanks to you,

we decided to start off fresh.

I really admire you two.

You overcame death together.

You two are more amazing, because you're always the same.

I envied you so much.

Trust...

wasn't a matter of choice.

But you can choose to pretend to trust someone.

Did she take the bait?

It's not my wife.

I never said it's your wife.

What do you need help with?

I want to know more about my wife.

To be honest, I think I didn't know much about her until now.

I want to work things out, but I don't know how.

This is fascinating!

You're not asking me to find the culprit!

You want me to investigate your wife!

No, that's not it.

I want you to gather information...

Husband who ask me to investigate their wives fall into 1 of 2 categories.

A loving husband who is hoping his suspicions aren't true.

A realistic husband who is hoping his suspicions are true.

Which one are you?

Should I phrase it differently?

What do you need more?

Do you want to work things out between you two?

Or do you want something that will give you the upper hand?

What will you do...

if your wife faked her kidnapping?

I'm saying "what if"!

What will you do if your wife is behind this?

"What if"?

What if she did?

Then we have to return to square one

and re-evaluate the situation again.

Why did she plan something like that?

We need to re-evaluate with that in mind.

Why she did this?

When people plan something like that, they know what they want.

Most people want money.

But...

Jae-kyung isn't short on money.

You are.

Then it means she wants something else besides money.

For example,

revenge.

She may want revenge.

Do you think she would plan something so ridiculous

just to teach her cheating husband a lesson?

Most women don't try so hard to get revenge on their husbands.

Although they're angry, they forgive them.

Then there must be another motive.

Maybe my wife is...

Jae-kyung was too good for you.

Her friend from college.

That's right!

An ordinary housewife can't plan something like that by herself.

It can't be.

My wife would never do that.

Why? You can see other women but your wife can't?

That's not what I'm saying!

If...

I'm saying...

what if.

I'm saying "what if" too.

Be careful.

Don't get caught by your wife.

Because she's probably watching you.

Do you think my wife really...

Do you think she would've gone that far?

Do you not want to believe it...

or you can't?

You have to take control of the situation now.

Yes?

Thank you.

Are you okay now?

- Good. - What a relief.

We were very worried.

Exhale and curl your back like a cat.

Inhale and...

What do you want?

Do you want to prove your wife's innocence

and live happily ever after?

Stretch and form a triangle.

Okay, inhale now.

And then exhale...

(Seoul Joongam Police Station)

Song Yoo-min wasn't in the list of people who are licensed to fly drones.

Do kidnappers get licenses and fly drones?

There's no way he's a model citizen like that!

We searched the drone clubs online.

There was a sighting of someone flying a drone near the crime scene.

We're checking credit card statements for purchase of a drone.

We're also looking into sales of used drones.

We also need to look into the relationship of the victim and Song Yoo-min.

Currently, we only know that they were friends in college.

So did you make contact with Song Yoo-min?

No, his studio has been empty for several days.

Is it becoming obvious?

We're already busy taking care of homicides.

The media has calmed down.

So let's close the case now.

Shim Jae-kyung went to study abroad in France as a high school junior.

She came back to attend an university in Korea.

Song Yoo-min won art competitions since he was a student.

He was a very promising student.

But for some reason,

he disappeared before his graduation show.

Song Yoo-min's first love is Shim Jae-kyung.

That's what I think.

So it's tragedy brought forth by resentment from unrequited first love?

Why is he obsessing over his past unrequited love now?

"You abandoned me just to live like that?"

Maybe that's how he feels.

I think this case...

is just getting started.

(Followers)

Oh, my!

Should I wipe it like this?

1, 2.

You should hide what you want.

And you should show what the other person wants to see.

Getting rid of the bug may mean

she doesn't need any more information

or she wants to block any noise that may come from here.

He'll hear me.

I'm sure he'll tell my wife.

I'll decide...

what will happen from now on.

What should I do with your cellphone and the receivers?

I don't need them now. Please throw them away.

Why are you here?

We're from Joongam Police Station.

We called earlier.

Pardon? Joongam Police Station?

Somebody from the station is already here.

I guess more of you are here.

You're from Joongam Police Station?

Who...?

I can't believe we ran into each other here, Detective Seo!

Say hello.

He's the legendary homicide detective, Mr. Noh Chang-beom.

He was forced to retire for taking bribes.

It was all thanks to a tip from my dear coworker who I trained.

Why did you come all the way here?

I guess the pawnshop is not busy.

You came here to pick up items yourself.

A self-employed man has no choice.

I need to do things myself to make some profit.

Did you get anything?

The person intentionally chose this location,

knowing that the security cameras were broke.

It means that he's very thorough.

Did you find this ice box?

It wasn't found anywhere in the baseball stadium.

One person distracted people with the drone.

And the other person ran off with the money.

Why are you so interested?

It's a family matter.

Remember how close we used to be...

Hey, this isn't Jin Sun-mi, right?

Yes.

They're both wearing sunglasses and hats.

But the outfit is different.

Someone must be quite angry.

How could you not even call me once?

Let's talk next time.

Do we even have a next time?

Did you really try to kill yourself because of her?

Would I have been in peace if I died then?

You suspected something too, right?

There's only one perso who would do this!

Our photos.

She's probably who reported the adoxine too.

To get revenge on us.

There's no evidence that she installed it.

Hold on.

So what?

Are you saying it's a relief or it's unfortunate?

Tell me.

What do you want?

What we need aren't facts right now.

It's whether we survive or not.

Let's assume my wife is behind everything.

But what does that change?

No.

It does change things.

Your choice will be clear.

You're not thinking of...

continuing to play the loving husband who saved his wife, right?

Did you just push me away?

Why don't you take a vacation?

Why should I?

Did I do something wrong?

I'm sorry, but I'm late for work.

I have nothing to be ashamed of compared to you two!

At this rate, our restaurant is going to be a hit!

Mr. Kim's second golden age?

I'm glad Ms. Shim came back safe.

Do you think so?

- Hello, Mr. Kim. - Hello.

You all must've been very worried.

I told Ms. Jin to take a break

until the fake news dies down.

Don't worry too much.

I'm fine.

If people don't see me, they'll find it more suspicious.

You should take a few days off...

What are you all waiting for?

Go back to work.

- Yes. - Yes.

Mr. Kim!

What is it?

Mr. Kim, you need to come now!

What is it this time?

Please give me a new one.

Please give me a new one.

Please give me a new one.

Ma'am.

I believe we already did several times.

That's unfortunate.

But the pasta smells strange today.

What does it smell like?

The pasta is very shameless.

It's like it has no morals.

I don't eat things that aren't nice.

I'll bring a new dish.

A nice pasta dish with morals.

Excuse me!

Can I order a raw egg for dessert?

You can have it! It's my treat!

You should add another raw egg.

I don't think it's meant for just me.

Oh, dear!

Make sure you properly train your employees!

Raw eggs would be wasted on you, so I'm leaving!

Fine, I'll get lost.

Please enjoy your meal.

I'm sorry.

We need to clear the table.

You should go out through the back door.

Why?

Did Mr. Kim's wife come this time?

Honey, what brings you here?

Did I surprise you?

You came just in time.

I'm leaving early today.

So we were short-staffed, Ms. Shim.

I see.

Don't worry about the restaurant

and get some rest at home.

Thank you.

Thanks to you, we have more customers.

I think...

you should relax and get some rest

so you can recharge.

I want to help in any way I can.

You lost a lot of money because of me.

You were already having a hard time.

No, no. I'm fine.

That money?

It wasn't wasted at all!

Thank you.

Can't I just work here?

To be honest, I'm scared to be home alone.

You also asked me

to work together too.

If you stay here...

people will make you feel uncomfortable.

And...

I'm fine.

Thank you.

It's very busy, right?

I'll lend a hand.

No, it's okay.

You were recently discharged from the hospital.

You should go home and rest.

No.

You all must've been very worried about me.

I want to do anything I can to help.

Hold on.

(Jin Sun-mi)

(Jin Sun-mi)

Thanks to you, we have more customers.

It's all thanks to you.

Here's the coffee.

Thank you!

We're making more so drink this first.

- Yes, thank you! - Ma'am!

Weren't you uncomfortable? People were taking photos of you.

I know! You should've stopped them!

- That's right! - Why are you yelling at me?

You were in the kitchen.

I was in the kitchen too.

He's not showing up.

Song Yoo-min should show up sometime around now.

His love for her is too great for him to just leave with the money.

No.

To a painter who's not famous, money matters more than love.

Hey, stop! Stop!

Rewind.

What is this?

Contact the owner.

Please have something.

We're always getting help from you.

Neighbors are the best.

You're better than a distant relative.

It's because we can live in peace once the culprit is caught too.

Oh, right! Your husband looked very young for his age!

At first, I thought he was your son...

You two look great together.

He doesn't look very young for his age.

He's very young.

I see.

Ji-tae, we have it.

This is an interesting turn of events.

What brings you here?

We needed to check something.

It's something Ms. Shim may find uncomfortable.

Please come this way.

You should go home first.

I guess your wife is going to help out at the restaurant.

Yes.

That's what my wife wants.

How should we interpret this?

I was worried about my wife.

So I secretly checked how she was doing.

It wasn't because you didn't trust her?

We're looking for the person who took the five million dollars from the trash can.

That person...

is probably an accomplice of Song Yoo-min.

Do you know if your wife has an outfit like this?

Are you suspecting my wife right now?

I'm sorry to bother you so late at night.

When did my wife tell you about my affair?

I want to know when she found out.

It was about a month ago.

When did your aunt give you this?

It was around my birthday.

So about a month ago.

Was she planning this for a long time?

She loved you very much.

I see.

Your wife loved you very much.

Pardon?

Even though she knew you were cheating on her with another woman,

she couldn't show that she knew because she loved you that much.

That's how much she loves you.

And that's how much she wants to stay with you.

Husbands don't really know how their wives feel.

Even now, she's probably waiting for you,

worried about you.

I wonder why wives go that far.

Because he's my husband.

Jae-kyung....

Don't try too hard.

Pardon?

I know what it's like because I tried too.

When husbands start coming home late,

that's the first sign.

If you try too hard, that's not family.

If it's not meant to be, you should get a divorce.

Getting a divorce isn't a big deal these days.

Do you think getting a divorce is the answer?

I liked my divorce more than my marriage.

My remarriage was even better.

You can't change people.

People don't change.

I still like...

marriage more.

Are you sure you don't like the idea of marriage more than your husband?

Let's be honest.

If he doesn't make your heart race,

dump him.

Objects aren't the only things you have to get rid of.

Throwing away something isn't always the answer.

I believe true minimalism is...

when you hold onto things you really need.

You need your husband?

(Dear Husband)

(Dear Wife)

Mr. Kim Yoon-chul was miraculously reunited with his wife, Ms. Shim Jae-kyung.

It would've been better if she didn't return.

Huh?

Who?

That woman.

I...

I'm grateful to my dear husband...

I saw that woman.

My dear husband who didn't give up on me and also my dear family members.

I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart.

The love story of the heiress to a large inheritance

and the self-made chef is very interesting.

People are curious about the future of these two people

who are at the center of the whole nation's interest.

It's touching to see the kids try so hard, right?

No.

My husband is.

I guess she didn't want to dump her husband yet.

Honey, I'm home.

Yes, I'll be out soon!

To be honest, there are many strange things about this case.

We got a tip that there was poison in the wine.

But the test result said there was no poison.

Mr. Kim.

Why did you throw out the wine?

Pardon?

You thought that the wine might have poison in it, right?

I told you that I don't know anything about the poison.

Then why were you so happy at the hospital?

Like this.

Yes!

Yes, to be honest...

I was a little relieved.

Because there was one less misunderstanding.

It's too early to be relieved

if the wine containing the poison is still out there somewhere.

It means somebody took it.

It's one of the two.

Either you have the wine bottle containing the poison...

or the person planning to frame you has the wine bottle.

Are you...

talking about my wife?

Why do you think so?

Because it seems like you do.

I never thought so.

What do you think, Mr. Kim?

My wife would never do that.

(Dear Yoon-chul)

(I don't know when it started.)

(I will love you forever till death do us apart.)

Did you really leave this letter behind as your will?

Because you never know what might happen.

Give it to me. I want to hide it again.

I wonder what else you hid.

What do you mean?

I have a feeling that there are more hidden keys that I may not know of.

A wife with an unexpected twist!

I'm sure there's no wife who doesn't have an unexpected twist.

But everybody is like that.

They don't want to know about their wives.

Or they turn a blind eye.

Which one do you think I am?

Which one do you want to be?

I'm not sure...

I wonder which one.

I'm someone who wants to know more about his wife.

It's been a while for us, right?

I'm sorry.

I made you very lonely until now, right?

I believed in you.

Let's start again one step at a time.

You're all I need.

Is there a need to start again one step at a time?

My goodness!

I see that my dear wife was drinking alone too.

Don't you think you're coming home too late these days?

I'll adjust my work hours, ma'am.

Where were you drinking so much?

I'm a contract employee.

So I feel uneasy.

The company's not doing well too.

The paychecks will go out in time.

Don't worry.

Sweetheart.

Don't be too worried.

We're married!

Yes.

We're a pretty happy married couple too, right?

Of course.

From that house,

we probably look happy too.

The poisoned wine.

Hiding a critical piece of evidence means...

there's another message.

This case is still in progress.

And it means the culprit is still watching.

At first, we suspected Ms. Jin Sun-mi.

But her alibi doesn't fit.

And there's no connection between Song Yoo-min and Jin Sun-mi too.

The person who needs to hide the poisoned wine.

We need to find that person.

Are you looking for this?

What's wrong?

You look so scared.

Are you trying to drink the wine we couldn't drink together that day?

You should've trusted me.

Why do you keep going down a difficult road?

So it was you?

Why did you do all this?

You...

You wanted to get revenge on me for having an affair?

Yes.

I wanted you to be in pain.

You must've been laughing while you were fooling me.

You were laughing too.

What?

In order to forgive you for laughing at that moment...

this was the only way.

What are you talking about? You're out of your mind.

Forgive me? Then how am I supposed to forgive you?

Why would you need to forgive me?

I'm going to call the police.

I'll call them first.

You're unbelievable!

Do you know how anxious I was while I was watching you?

I was afraid that you would make a mistake.

You must've been happy.

I ran around everywhere like a mad man, trying to save you!

You got everything you wanted so you must've been very happy.

I must've been crazy.

Adoxine!

You know what's in here too, right?

No, I don't.

The bottle the police confiscated came back clean.

I wonder why the poison wasn't detected in the confiscated wine.

You were curious about that too.

Jae-kyung!

I saved you.

You're a husband who is high maintenance!

You can't do anything without me!

If I give this to the police,

then you're done for.

Attempted murder.

A wife with an unexpected twist.

There's no such thing.

There's only my true self.

My husband only saw the me he wanted to see.

Attention!

(Jujutsu MMA)

Bow!

Start!

Are you stupid or naive?

Why would I carry around a critical piece of evidence?

I just brought that to celebrate.

I hid the special wine with the poison somewhere else.

If you keep your mouth shut, then I will too.

Let's keep each other's secret.

Don't you think we'll get a little closer?

You conned the whole nation!

How does this make any sense?

If I say no, would you believe me?

It would be easier for you if you do.

Shim Jae-kyung.

Who...

Who are you?

Who do you think I am?

I'm your wife.

We have a problem.

I think Song Yoo-min was killed.

Detective!

I'm sure there's an accomplice.

I think he was killed to be silenced.

The person didn't want to share the five million dollars.

There's someone here!

We should have a drink on a day like this.

Let's celebrate.

To our new beginning.

Cheers.

It's okay!

I told you this doesn't have any poison in it!

Subtitles by OnDemandKorea

(My Dangerous Wife)

It's your turn now.

He left behind the first thing he should've burned first.

There's a good chance that some of the tools

found at the site of the fire coincide with those in this video.

Revenge is a poison you drink, wishing the other person would die.

I'm more scared! Me!

To be honest...

I need to confess something.
